One of the most important performance criteria related to the gain tuning of controller for CNC machining center is the contour error. This study analyzed circular error by the axis-matched and mismatched cases. To reduce ellipse and radius error, it is necessary to set the gain for each axis to be same bandwidth and high response. Based on the analysis in the frequency domain, we simulate feed system by mathematical model and then predict bandwidth of each axis. For analysis of structure vibration while the each axis is moving, we try the various of measuring method and position loop is improved by jerk limit.

In this paper, a CPW fed slot antenna with novel broadband feed structure is presented. To enhance the impedance bandwidth of the slot antenna we proposed the broadband feed structure of new bow-tie slot which is combined with four λ/2 rectangular radiation slot and inductively coupled. The measured 10 dB impedance bandwidth is about 60 %(5.2∼9.4 GHz) and the simulated antenna gain is about 6 dBi at 7.36 GHz.
Electricity generation of microbial fuel cells (MFC) is greatly affected by the kind of feed substrates because substrates would change microbial community of electrochemically active bacteria (EAB) able to transfer electrons to electrode. The effect of different substrates on electricity generation and microbial community of MFC was investigated. Two-chamber MFCs fed with acetate (A-MFC), butyrate (B-MFC), propionate (P-MFC), glucose (G-MFC) and a mixture (M-MFC) of the 4 substrates (acetate : butyrate : propionate : glucose = 1 : 1 : 1 : 1 as $COD_{Cr}$ base) were operated under continuous mode. The maximum power density was found from the M-MFC ($190W/m^3$) which showed the lowest internal resistance ($89{\Omega}$). The maximum power densities of the pure substrates feed MFCs were in order of A-MFC ($25W/m^3$), P-MFC ($21W/m^3$), B-MFC ($20W/m^3$) and G-MFC ($9W/m^3$). In DGGE analysis, the microbial community structure in suspension was quite different from each others depending on feed substrates, while the community structure in the biofilm was relatively similar regardless of the substrates. This result suggests that the feed substrates would affect the microbial community of suspended growth bacteria than attached growth bacteria resulting in difference of electricity generation in MFCs.

Wafer level packaging is gain mote momentum as a low cost, high performance solution for RF-MEMS devices. In this work, the flip-chip method was used for the wafer level packaging of RF-MEMS devices on the quartz substrate with low losses. For analyzing the EM (electromagnetic) characteristic of proposed packaging structure, we got the 3D structure simulation using FEM (finite element method). The electric field distribution of CPW and hole feed-through at 3 GHz were concentrated on the hole and the CPW. The reflection loss of the package was totally below 23 dB and the insertion loss that presents the signal transmission characteristic is above 0.06 dB. The 4-inch Pyrex glass was used as a package substrate and it was punched with air-blast with 250${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ diameter holes. We made the vortical feed-throughs to reduce the electric path length and parasitic parameters. The vias were filled with plating gold. The package substrate was bonded with the silicon substrate with the B-stage epoxy. The loss of the overall package structure was tested with a network analyzer and was within 0.05 dB. This structure can be used for wafer level packaging of not only the RF-MEMS devices but also the MEMS devices.

A sliding mode fuzzy control (SMFC) with disturbance estimator is applied to design a controller for the third generation benchmark problem on an wind-excited building. A distinctive feature in vibration control of large civil infrastructure is the existence of large disturbances, such as wind, earthquake, and sea wave forces. Those disturbances govern the behavior of the structure, however, they cannot be precisely measured, especially for the case of wind-induced vibration control. Since the structural accelerations are measured only at a limited number of locations without the measurement of the wind forces, the structure of the conventional control may have the feed-back loop only. General structure of the SMFC is composed of a compensation part and a convergent part. The compensation part prevents the system diverge, and the convergent part makes the system converge to the sliding surface. The compensation part uses not only the structural response measurement but also the disturbance measurement, so the SMFC has a feed-back loop and a feed-forward loop. To realize the virtual feed-forward loop for the wind-induced vibration control, disturbance estimation filter is introduced. the structure of the filter is constructed based on an auto regressive model for the stochastic wind force. This filter estimates the wind force at each time instance based on the measured structural responses and the stochastic information of the wind force. For the verification of the proposed algorithm, a numerical simulation is carried out on the benchmark problem of a wind-excited building. The results indicate that the present control algorithm is very efficient for reducing the wind-induced vibration and that the performance indices improve as the filter for wind force estimation is employed.

Interrupted cutting has different cutting characteristics compared with continuous cutting. In interrupted cutting, the workpiece has a groove that regularly impacts the cutting tool and workpiece. Therefore, tool damage occurs rapidly, and this increases the cutting force and surface roughness. In this study, we performed interrupted cutting of carbon steel for machine structure (SM45C) using a coated carbide tool (TT7100). To predict the cutting force, we analyzed the experimental results with a regression analysis. The results were as follows: We confirmed that the factors affecting the principal force and radial force were cutting speed, depth of cut, and feed rate. From the multi-regression analysis, we deduced regression equations, and their coefficients of determination were 89.6, 89.27, and 28.27 for the principal, radial, and feed forces, respectively. This means that the regression equations were significant for the principal and radial forces but not for the feed force.

In this paper, the characteristics of u-slot antennas are computed by changing the feed structure, and compared with the measured results. The impedance bandwidths of 13 %(255.1 MHz) and 30.7 %(602.1 MHz) are obtained for probe feed and L-strip feed, respectively. It is known that the designed L-strip feed can be used for increasing the bandwidth of u-slot antennas. In addition, it is shown that the designed L-strip feed u-slot antenna can be used for domestic PCS and IMT-2000 dual band applications.
In this study, to determine the optimum fermentation process for the feed production of food wastes and estimate the practical value of fermented feed using kudzu creeper and sawdust as bulking agent. This study considered initial C/N ratio control as the fermentation process variables. The result are summarized as follows. Minimum water contents of byproducts in the fermentation feed production showed 39%(kudzu), 37%(sawdust) at the C/N ratio 25 and 45%(kudzu, sawdust) at the C/N ratio 35. Temperature variations in the fermentation feed production at the C/N ratio 25 indicated $68^{\circ}C$(kudzu), $70^{\circ}C$(sawdust). Optimum condition of fermentation process of water content, C/N ratio and permeability (porous structure of the mixture). For optimum fermentation gravitationally dewatered garbage, the proper mixing ratios of kudzu(moisture contents : 17.3%) and sawdust(moisture contents : 13.2%) were 41% and 39%, respectively. Major biological reaction in the aerobic fermentation feed production occurred during 12~24hrs.

We propose a novel feed network for a $2{\times}2$ array antenna to form a sectoral conical beam. The proposed feed network, which is a symmetrical structure, consists of four $90^{\circ}$ hybrids, a crossover, and four $90^{\circ}$ delay lines. To verify the performance of the feed network a $2{\times}2$ array antenna and the feed network are fabricated on a microstrip structure, and the radiation patterns are measured at the center frequency of 2.57 GHz. The maximum radiation is measured at the $45^{\circ}$ elevation angle and at the $45^{\circ}$, $135^{\circ}$, $225^{\circ}$, and $315^{\circ}$ azimuth angles depending on the choice of the input port of the feed network.

Recently, layer industry shows the decrease in the number of farm and increase in rearing scale in both Korea and Japan. Seventy percent of layer farms in Japan feed more than 50,000 birds per each farm but in Korea, only 19.3% of layer farms are feeding more than 30,000 birds which covers 59% of total chicken number. This tendeney will be more accellerated from now on. Brand egg Production in Japan is developed with the involvement of farmers, sailers feed companies and also the marketing structure of brand egg is well organised in between farmers and consumers. However in Korea, the marketing structure of brand egg is not well settled for this reason the egg price is often decided lower much price than regrnlar price by the intermediate dealers. Under this kind of tough situation, Korean layer farmers are stressed to develop new brand products such as functional egg, settle the sales and distribution network with the good cooperation of farmers, and distributers.
