Antioxidative and Antimutagenic Effects of Agaricus bisporus Ethanol Extracts (양송이버섯 추출물의 산화적 스트레스 억제효과 및 항돌연변이 효과)

  • This study was performed to investigate the antioxidative effects such as the inhibition of malondialdehyde (MDA) and bovine serum albumin (BSA) conjugation reaction, inhibition of $Fe^{2+}$-induced lipid peroxidation and the scavenging effect on 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl (DPPH) radical, as well as antimutagenic capacities as Ames test in ethanol extracts of Agaricus bisporus. Agaricus bisporus ethanol extracts inhibited $Fe^{2+}$-induced lipid peroxidation and scavenged DPPH radical. The $IC_{50}$ of Agaricus bisporus ethanol extracts were 78.63 mg/assay for inhibition of MDA with BSA conjugation reaction, 4.06 mg/ assay for inhibition of $Fe^{2+}$-induced lipid peroxidation and 1.08 mg/assay for scavenging effect on DPPH radical. So, among the methods used in this study, the most effective antioxidative capacity in ethanol extracts of Agaricus bisporus was the scavenging effect on DPPH radical. The indirect and direct antimutagenic effects of ethanol extracts of Agaricus bisporus were examined by Ames test using Salmonella Typhimurium TA98 and TA100. The inhibitory effects on direct mutagenicity mediated by sodium azide in Salmonella Typhimurium TA100 and 2-nitrofluorene in Salmonella Typhimurium TA98 were 100%. The inhibition rates on indirect mutagenicity mediated by 2-anthramine were 86.09% in the Salmonella Typhimurium TA98 and 81.93% in the Salmonella Typhimurium TA100. The ethanol extracts of Agaricus bisporus showed considerable antioxidative activity and strong antimutagenic capacity.

  • 현재 변압기 철심 재료는 주로 방향성 전기 강판이 사용되고 있으며, 우수한 자기유도 특성과 낮은 철손이 중요한 요건이다. 방향성 전기강판은 약 3%Si을 함유하며 2차 재결정에 의해 {100}<001> Gross texture로 배향된다. 극박 3%Si-Fe의 2차 재결정에 미치는 냉간 압연율의 효과에 대한 연구결과 보고는 거의 없다. 본 연구의 목적은 다단 냉간압연에 의해 제조되는 박판 3%Si-Fe strip의 자기유도에 미치는 최종 냉간 압연율의 효과를 밝히는 것이다. (중략)

  • Microstructure and mechanical properties were examined on rapidly solidified Al-8wt%Fe alloy. High temperature strength test was also undertaken, and it is shown that the refinement in microstructure resulting from extremely rapid cooling rates gives rise to improved high temperature strength, but the elongation to fracture of this material decreases with increasing temperature, particularly in the temperature range up to 30$0^{\circ}C$. Specimens heat-treated for 100 hrs were analyzed with TEM micrographs to understand the thermal stability of this material.

  • 본 연구에서는 새도우마스크 제조공정에서 발생되는 Fe-Ni 계 폐산 용액에 Ni 성분을 용해시킨 복합 산용액을 원료용액으로 사용하여 분무열분해법에 의해 입도분포 및 조성이 균일하며, 입자형태가 구상이면서 평균입도가 100nm 이하인 Ni-ferrite 나노 분말을 제조하며 원료용액의 유입속도, nozzle tip 크기 및 공기압력의 반응조건 변화에 따른 생성분말의 특성 변화를 파악하였다.

Mineral Contents of Spinach and Broccoli Blanched by Conventional Methoed (재래적 방법을 이용한 조리방법에 따른 상용채소의 무기질 함량 변화 -시금치와 브로커리 -)

  • The effect of time and amount of water by conventional blanching method on the retention minerals in spinach and broccoli was investigated. The vegetables were blanched for 1, 2, 3 and 4 minutes, with 150 $m\ell$, 300 $m\ell$, 450 $m\ell$ of water for every 100 g of raw material. Blanching of spinach showed that Na was reduced remarkably after 2 minute of blanching, the others (K, Fe, Ca, Mg, P, Cu) were gradually decreased as the blanching time increased. Blanching of broccoli showed that the content of minerals were reduced remarkably after 1 minute of blanching. The longer blanching time further reduced the content of minerals. The retention of minerals (Na, K, Fe, Ca, Mg, P, Cu) in spinach and broccoli was reduced gradually as the blanching water increased. The retention rate of minerals were 12.7% of Na, 37.4% of K, 37.1% of Fe, 43.9% of Ca, 39.0% of Mg, 53.5% of P, 56.2% of Cu in spinach and 21.0% of Na, 41.3% of K, 57.8% of Fe, 38.8% of Ca, 51.5% of Mg, 57.7% of P, 44.4% of Cu in broccoli for 4 min, with water 450$m\ell$ every 100g of raw material.

  • Magneto-impedence (MI) were measured in amorphous $Co_{66}Fe_4NiB_{14} Si_{15}$ ribbons at 100 kHz as a function of the angle from ribbon axis. The samples were prepared using etching method, with the angle deviated from ribbon axis, 0$^{\circ}$, 30$^{\circ}$, 45$^{\circ}$, 60$^{\circ}$ and 90$^{\circ}$. The MI measured in 60$^{\circ}$ sample increased with the increasing magnetic fields. The dip in profile appears at H = 0 above the angle of 30$^{\circ}$. The maximum values of MI and their dips are increased with the cutting angle, but the maximum value of MI decreased at 90$^{\circ}$. The increase of MI with the angle was analyzed in terms of the transverse magnetic permeability.

  • This work addresses the relationship between initial complex permeability and porosity in polycrystalline Mg-ferrite material. The initial permeability corresponds to Snoek theory except the sample with large grains. The frequency which initial real permeability, $\mu$' equal 1 due to domain rotation are found in the frequency range 50-80 [MHz]. Internal magnetic field which is considered as mainly anisotropy field is 100[Oe] which is obtained from the relationship between initial complex permeability and porosity in polycrystalline Mg-ferrite material. This is almost the half value of reported anisotropy field of single Mg-ferrite. The difference between them is almost due to domain wall effect in polycrystalIine Mg-ferrite material.

Crystal Structure of Ferrihydrite Nanoparticles Synthesized in Ferritin

  • In this study, horse spleen apoferritins were induced to form biominerals using up to 3000 Fe atoms per protein molecule. The morphology and crystallinity of the nanometer-sized biominerals formed in the ferritins were then analyzed using field emission-energy filtering-transmission electron microscopy (FE-TEM). The ferritins were found to have reconstitution yields of 60-70% in the experiments. The mean core size of the ferritins varied somewhat with protein concentrations, indicating that crystal growth in ferritins could be controlled via protein concentrations. The core mineral size increased with the amount of Fe used. Lattice fringes of the core, associated with good crystallinity, were found in all samples. The lattice fringe images of a single domain ferrihydrite mineral appeared frequently in the (011) planes (d-spacing of 0.246 nm) under [100] zone axis in all samples of this study. In addition, the lattice image occasionally revealed fringes corresponding to the (100) planes (d = 0.254 nm) from the [001] zone axis, indicating the characteristic pattern of hexagonal crystal lattice. Diffraction patterns in the minerals identified as ferrihydrite were fitted well into the space group of $P3_{1c}$.

  • 평면형 자심재료용으로 응용하기 위한 Mn-Zn 페라이트에서 저손실 조성의 전자기적 특성과 분위기 조건에 따른 특성변화를 관찰하였다. $Fe_{2}O_{3}$ : MnO : ZnO 의 물비가 53 : 36 : 11 일 때, 가장 우수한 특성을 나타내었으며, $SiO_{2}$와 CaO는 입계 저항층 형성을 통한 손실은 감소시키고, 이로 인해 성능지수는 증가하여 100kHz ~ 200kHz 범위에서 최대값을 나타내어 전자기적 효율이 극대화되었다. 산소분압의 제어는 승온과정부터 산소분압을 제어시켜주어야만 Zn-loss 현상의 증가와 $Fe^{2+}$이온 농도의 감소 및 $Fe^{2+}-Fe^{3+}$ 이온간의 호핑(hoping)현상 등에 의한 손실을 최소화 할 수 있으며, 높은 투자율을 얻을 수 있었다. 그리고 소결 또는 냉각 중 평형 산소분압이 유지되지 못하면 다량의 결함이 출현하게 되고, 특히 $600^{\circ}C$이하에서 스피넬 상의 분해-산화반응이 일어나면서 미세구조 상에 결함으로 남게 되어 전자기적 특성이 저하되었다.
