  • We introduce a method of color-coded illumination that is simple and fast. The purpose of this study is the real-time shape measurement of three-dimensional object by using color-coded information. The object is illuminated by a prism color spectrum. A color spectrum of a white-light source is imaged onto the object by illumination from one certain direction. The object is observed by a color CCD camera from a direction of observation, which is different from the direction of illumination. It can be evaluated by the red, blue, green using a inherence colors of hue value are good point.

  • The purpose of the current study was to evaluate a spectrum formulation set employed to modify the neutron spectrum of D-D fusion neutrons in a IS plasma focus device using GEANT4, MCNPX2.6, and FLUKA codes. The set consists of a moderator, reflector, collimator and filters of fast neutron and gamma radiation, which placed on the path of 2.45 MeV neutron energy. The treated neutrons eliminate cancerous tissue with minimal damage to other healthy tissue in a method called neutron therapy. The system optimized for a total neutron yield of 109 (n/s). The numerical results indicate that the GEANT4 code for the cubic geometry in the Beam Shaping Assembly 3 (BSA3) is the best choice for the energy of epithermal neutrons.

Implementation of Spectrum Analysis System for Vibration Monitoring

  • Factory monitoring systems are gaining importance in wide areas of industry. Especially, there have been many efforts in implementation of vibration measurement and analysis for monitoring the status of rotating machines. In this paper, a digital signal processor (DSP) based monitoring system dedicated to the vibration monitoring and analysis on rotating machines is discussed. Vibration signals are acquired and processed for the continuous monitoring of the machine status. Time domain signals and fast Fourier transform (FFT) are used for vibration analysis. All of the signal processing procedures are done in the DSP to reduce the production and maintenance cost. The developed system could also provide remote and mobile monitoring capabilities to operator via internet connection. This paper describes the overview of the functional blocks of the implemented system. Test results based on signals from small-size single phase motors are discussed for monitoring and defect diagnosis of the machine status.

The inference of minimum temperature of the solar atmosphere from the FISS data

  • In the solar atmosphere, below the region of temperature minimum, temperature decreases with height and above it, temperature increases with height. Therefore the inference of temperature minimum is a basis of the study about the solar atmosphere and heating problem. The temperature of the temperature minimum region can be inferred from acoustic cutoff frequency. According to a recent study the acoustic cutoff frequency is related to the peak frequency of the power spectrum the chromospheric three-minute velocity oscillations. Using this relationship, we infer the temperature of temperature minimum. The three minute velocity oscillation and its power spectrum are obtained for a pore observed with the Fast Imaging Solar Spectrograph (FISS) $H{\alpha}$ band. We present the inferred temperature and compare it with the temperature of Maltby model. We also investigate the effect of the inclination of magnetic field on the temperature minimum.

Cognitive Radio Based Jamming Resilient Multi-channel MAC Protocol for Wireless Network

  • Radio jamming attack is the most effective and easiest Denial-of-Service (DOS) attack in wireless network. In this paper, we proposed a multi-channel MAC protocol to mitigate the jamming attacks by using cognitive radio. The Cognitive Radio (CR) technology supports real-time spectrum sensing and fast channel switching. By using CR technologies, the legitimate nodes can perform periodic spectrum sensing to identify jamming free channels and when the jamming attack is detected, it can switch to un-jammed channel with minimum channel switching delay. In our proposed protocol, these two CR technologies are exploited for thwarting the jamming attacks.

  • In this study, the Rayleigh fast fading simualtors encountered in channel modelling of mobile radio have been implemented and evaluated. Two models used for the fading environment were frequency composition of phase modulated signals and shaping spectrum of noise sources with filters. The spectrum chosen for our purpose is appropriate to an omnidirectional antenna. From results of the experiment with various parameters, we have obtained satisfying results which are closely agreed to theoretical values.

저선회 연소기에서 합성천연가스(SNG) 연료의 수소함량에 따른 연소 특성 연구 (A Study on the Combustion Characteristics with Hydrogen Contents of SNG Fuel in Low-Swirl Combustor)

  • This paper describes experimental results on combustion characteristics with hydrogen contents of synthetic natural gas (SNG) in low swirl combustor. To investigate the effect of hydrogen contents for premixed SNG flame, stability map, CH chemiluminescence images, flame spectrum analysis and emission performances were measured. In the results, as the hydrogen content was increased, the lean flammable limit was expanded and the flame length was decreased. The hydrogen contents affected the flame liftoff height, and it has different tendency according to the equivalence ratio and flame shape. The change of height and length of flame according to hydrogen contents is caused by the fast burning velocity of hydrogen, which can be confirmed by GRI 3.0 reaction mechanism in PREMIX code. The intensity of $OH^*$, $CH^*$ and $C_2^*$ was confirmed by spectrum analysis of flame. As a result, the $CH^*$ intensity was not significantly different according to hydrogen content. The increase of hydrogen contents influenced positively CO and NOx emission performances.

신경회로망에 의한 음성 및 잡음 인식 시스템 (Speech and Noise Recognition System by Neural Network)

  • 본 논문에서는 음성 및 잡음 구간을 검출하기 위하여 신경회로망에 의한 음성 및 잡음 인식시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 신경회로망은 오차역전파알고리즘에 의하여 학습되는 네트워크이다. 먼저, 고속 푸리에변환에 의한 전력스펙트럼 및 선형예측계수가 각 프레임에서 신경회로망의 입력으로 사용되어 네트워크가 학습된다. 따라서 제안된 신경회로망은 잡음이 중첩되지 않은 음성 및 잡음을 사용하여 학습된다. 제안한 인식시스템의 성능은 다양한 음성 및 백색, 프린터, 도로, 자동차 잡음 들을 사용하여 인식율에 의하여 평가된다. 본 실험에서는 신경회로망의 학습 데이터 및 평가 데이터가 다를 경우에도 이러한 음성 및 잡음에 대하여 92% 이상의 인식율을 구할 수 있었다.

음성 하모닉스 스펙트럼의 피크-피팅을 이용한 피치검출에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Pitch Detection of Speech Harmonics by the Peak-Fitting)

  • In speech signal processing, it is very important to detect the pitch exactly in speech recognition, synthesis and analysis. If we exactly pitch detect in speech signal, in the analysis, we can use the pitch to obtain properly the vocal tract parameter. It can be used to easily change or to maintain the naturalness and intelligibility of quality in speech synthesis and to eliminate the personality for speaker-independence in speech recognition. In this paper, we proposed a new pitch detection algorithm. First, positive center clipping is process by using the incline of speech in order to emphasize pitch period with a glottal component of removed vocal tract characteristic in time domain. And rough formant envelope is computed through peak-fitting spectrum of original speech signal infrequence domain. Using the roughed formant envelope, obtain the smoothed formant envelope through calculate the linear interpolation. As well get the flattened harmonics waveform with the algebra difference between spectrum of original speech signal and smoothed formant envelope. Inverse fast fourier transform (IFFT) compute this flattened harmonics. After all, we obtain Residual signal which is removed vocal tract element. The performance was compared with LPC and Cepstrum, ACF. Owing to this algorithm, we have obtained the pitch information improved the accuracy of pitch detection and gross error rate is reduced in voice speech region and in transition region of changing the phoneme.

아크릴레이트 기반 광중합 플라스틱 섬광체의 섬광 특성 (Scintillation Properties of Acrylate Based Plastic Scintillator by Photoploymerization Method)

  • 본 연구에서는 TMPTA와 DHPA를 모체로 Ultima $Gold^{TM}$ LLT 유기 섬광체를 혼합하여 자외선에 광중합 특성을 가진 플라스틱 섬광체를 처음으로 제작하고, 그 섬광특성을 조사하였다. 제조된 플라스틱 섬광체의 발광스펙트럼 파장 범위는 380~520 nm이었으며, 중심파장은 423 nm 었다. 400~800 nm의 파장범위에 대하여 50% 이상의 투명도를 나타내었으며, 섬광체의 섬광 감쇠 시간특성이 12 ns인 1개의 성분이 측정되었다. 제작된 플라스틱 섬광체의 발광파장 스펙트럼이 광전자증배관의 양자효율 특성과 잘 매칭되며, 향후 3D 프린팅 소재로서의 최적화 공정 개발을 통해 3D 프린팅 기술에 접목함으로써 인체 도시메트리에 활용하고자 한다.
