자하 하디드의 기하학적 형태를 활용한 3D 프린팅 패션디자인 연구 (A Study on 3D Printing Fashion Design using Geometric Shapes of Zaha Hadid)

  • The latest innovation in the field of fashion comes in the form of 3D-printed clothing. This study explores the composition and characteristics of the shapes in the architecture of Zaha Hadid, a representative architectural designer who expresses space in three dimensions. Hadid applies his aesthetic to fashion design using these distinctive geometric shapes to create design motifs as well as develop new clothing material with 3D printing technology. The research was conducted as follows. First, the lines and arrangement of the geometric shapes in Zaha Hadid's architecture were analyzed so that his design principles could be used as a theoretical basis for this study. The study also reviewed geometric fashion designs using 3D printing technology over the last ten years. Second, we developed triangular modules with rods and tongs that could be fashioned into clothing using fused deposition modeling (FDM) 3D printers. Lastly, the 3D printing fashion design was developed to explore new silhouettes, textures, and a novel way of producing clothing. This study hopes to serve as a stepping-stone for further research on innovations that combine fashion with technology.

패션관련 전시회 참가기업의 참가행태 분석 (An Analysis of Participating Style of Participating Company in Fashion Related Exhibition)

  • Various types of industry, from manufacturing industry to service industry, can be a subject of exhibition. So, subdivided studies about exhibition for each type of industry or field are necessary. However, there are still insufficient studies about them. Also, fashion industry related exhibitions should be classified differently from other industries' exhibitions because of their special features. Therefore, this study examines that how an exhibition is utilized as a promotion means of a company and the present condition of a fashion exhibition. It also compares a fashion exhibition with other industrial exhibitions to suggest the effective operations and the progressive promotion of the fashion exhibition. This study uses questionnaire from 140 companies for 5 exhibitions, which participated fashion related exhibitions. Data of this study is statistically analyzed using SPSS for window ver. 10.0 program. It also uses frequency, cross tabs, paired t-test, Independent Samples t-test. As a result of this study, fashion related companies' recognition of exhibitions has been increased. However; in terms of exhibition participation, attitudes such as pre-promotion or pre-education for the staff, who are in charge of the exhibition booths, and the outcome of the exhibition aren't maximized because the right understanding concerning exhibitions is lacking and long-term preparation is insufficient. Also, advertisement for the exhibitions isn't enough because of insufficient preparation and absence of pre-promotion, so consultation with promising buyers can't be activated. Even though there are consultations, the consultations don't have much effect.

현대 패션에 표현된 오컬티즘 (Occultism in Contemporary Fashion)

  • Features of the Occult Culture is preferred that powers, demons, magic, magical, unreal etc. Currently Occultism is getting a lot of attention to the public in the society, culture, arts and the play. Fashion in the period that includes all circumstances is a field. Thus, the current Occultism and modern fashion will also be related. Objective of the study is to figure out the form and meaning of Occultism in Contemporary Fashion. An example of the best of contemporary trends is the mass media, For this reason, Occultism symptoms range of case studies mess media(television programs and film). Research on contemporary fashion range was used 2000-2013 fashion collection extracted from the data. Represented in the mess media features of occultism is 'Witchcraft and Sorcery' and 'Death and Horror'. They are story of wizard exorcism and unnatural horror. In the 21st century, modern people are enjoying occultism, and occultism is the one of the entertainment. Expressed in contemporary fashion features of occultism is 'Super-human organism', that is out of the human body, ignoring body shape and type of transformed organism. Second distinction is 'Ghost', they are something like the dark and dismal, shape of ghosts and look pale. Third distinction is 'Neo-Macabre', it is the shape of the skeleton. Skeleton symbolizing the end of life, skeleton to express Occultism has emerged as the most representative motifs in the 21st century fashion. Occultism expressed in fashion is a gothic fantasy, because the fashion can be expressed. In addition, people in modern society wants to be against the norms and taboos. The trend Occult-culture is a symbol of the public's desires and needs.

패션디자이너 직무수행을 위해 필요한 지식수준에 관한 연구 - 한국과 미국을 중심으로 - (The Level of Knowledge Required to Fulfill the Task of Fashion Design -A Cross-cultural Study between South Korea and the United States -)

  • Employees overseas have a need to prepare according to the different environments and industrial structures between countries. Therefore, to investigate qualities for fashion designers to possess when they work abroad, especially in the United States, this study compared the level of knowledge required to fulfill the work of fashion design in both South Korea and the United States. Responses from workers who are engaged to fashion design from the representative online career information systems of two countries, 'Worknet' in South Korea and '$O^*Net$' in the United States, were used as data. Looking at the result derived from the analysis of this study, first by comparing various statistical indicators, results showed the difference between knowledge level required to fashion designer in South Korea and in the United States. Even with the same type of job, because environments and industrial structures of each country are dissimilar, a different level of knowledge will be required in order to perform their tasks. Second, fashion designers in both South Korea and the United States required a high level of knowledge in the 'fine arts', 'administration and management', 'production and processing', and 'design' to perform their duties as a fashion designer. As a result, both countries have similarities that fashion designers need to possess a high level of the knowledge in areas such as 'production of products' as well as 'sales of products'. Furthermore, human relationship field of knowledge such as 'counseling', 'psychology', and 'communication' appeared to be more necessary to fashion designers in South Korea than those in the United States. On the other hand, higher degree of knowledge of 'machines and tools', ' fine arts', and 'transportation' appeared to be more necessary to fashion designers in the United States than those in South Korea.

IPA 분석을 통한 패션 소상공인 디자이너 브랜드를 위한 패션테크 개발 우선순위 도출 (Study on the Priorities of Fashion Technology Development for Small-Scale Fashion Designer Brands using IPA Analysis)

  • This study aimed to explore fashion technologies for small-scale designer brands and reveal the priorities of the derived fashion technologies. Interviews were conducted with owners of 15 designer brands to explore fashion technologies needed in the field based on the business operation stage (study 1), and an online survey of owners of 61 designer brands was conducted to verify their priorities (study 2). A total of 12 fashion technologies were derived from study 1, including 2 market analysis stages, 6 season planning stages, and 4 product operation stages. In study 2, importance and satisfaction were measured with 12 fashion techniques derived from study 1, and importance-performance analysis (IPA) was performed. The technologies of product management with image tagging and sales channel matching were considered to be the fashion technologies that should be developed first. Second, in the case of maintenance, demand prediction and price determination were applicable. Third, over-effort avoidance was revealed through market analysis and design generation. Finally, in automatic product detail page creation and digital marketing, development was the lowest priority. The results of this study are expected to provide insight into priority areas for fashion technology developers and policy departments providing emerging brand support.

A Study on Recognition of the Eroticism in Fashion Advertisement

  • This research is progressed to look out for efficient expression-elements of eroticism used in advertisements. Since these expressions of eroticism appealing to sex which is one of the primitive instincts of mankind are increasing in advertisements of cosmetic products which are used more often by recent high-rate-growth and the elevation of living conditions. The most usual expression-elements of eroticism in advertisement are exposure, pose, fashion style, make up, hair style and color. To analyze those expression-elements we made four pieces of fashion advertisement photos with four different types and surveyed both fashion majored students and non-fashion majored students. We applied regression analysis, ANOVA, and frequency analysis to verify the hypothesis. We found that in eroticism, the pose was the most important cognitive feature among the expression-elements and degree of cognition are varied according to major field and sexual interest. As a result, degree of cognition which effected by expression-elements will be varied even in same advertisement. In particular, convincing that the pose was the significant factor of eroticism cognition, expression of eroticism in advertisement would be more diverse and daring.

  • This study explores application of upcycling design methods in structural transformation of second-hand denim clothing, aiming to achieve sustainable design objectives. By drawing inspiration from Liu Qing's research methods in the field of circular utilization of denim clothing, this study collected and analyzed cases of structural transformation of used denim clothing from 2020 to 2023. It summarized structural transformation design methods for used denim clothing. Through the development of design works, this study aims to find out the best upgrading and renovation design strategy by applying the method of structural renovation design. This study aims to support the development of a sustainable fashion industry and promote recycling and upcycling of discarded clothing fabrics, thereby reducing resource waste and environmental impact.

의복구성학 분야의 연구동향 분석 - 2010~2021년 까지 국내학술지를 중심으로 - (An Analysis of Research Trends in Clothing Construction Field - Focused on Korean Journal Publications from 2010 to 2021 -)

  • This study aims to present the direction of research for rational clothing design and production and improve the productivity of the fashion industry by analyzing the most recent 11 years (from 2010 to 2021) with regard to the clothing construction field. Analyzing the research trends in the field of clothing construction, which is deeply related to clothing production, will suggest the direction of research for clothing design and production. To analyze the current status of research in the field of clothing construction, research trends were analyzed, focusing on 525 research journal articles from six Korean clothing-related journals with terms related to torso and upper and lower limbs. The analysis results of this study are as follows. First, the rapid development of IT technology requires changes and innovations in all processes of clothing construction, including body shape analysis and pattern design. Therefore, it is believed that both body shape and pattern research should be continuously conducted to produce clothes with an excellent silhouette and fit depending on the body shape through studies, such as developing 3D patterns and converting 3D body figures into 2D patterns, among others. Second, since body shape studies are concentrated on young, middle-aged, and the elderly, it is believed that various body shape studies should be conducted on infants and elementary, middle, and high school students who have significant changes in body shape due to changes in the living environment. Third, if the content of pattern research is expanded to various items and is widely conducted, it will contribute to the production of clothing that has an excellent fit. Fourth, at a time when aging in society is accelerating, it is believed that research on patterns and clothing systems that can increase the fit of clothing by analyzing the body types of elderly male and female consumers should be actively conducted. Because the analysis was conducted only among six Korean academic journals, there is a limitation in the expanded interpretation of the results derived from this study.

A Trend Analysis on the Research of Clothing Construction in Korea - for the recent ten years ($1996{\sim}2005$) -

  • The purpose of this research is to propose the scientific and rational establishment of research projects and directions for research by analyzing the research trends on clothing construction. The 689 papers in the field of clothing construction are selected among 5433 papers published within the recent ten years (1996-2005) in Journal of the Korean Home Economics Association, Journal of the Korean Society of Clothing and Textiles, Journal of the Korean society of costumes, Research Journal of the Costume Culture, Journal of the Korean Society of Clothing Industry and Journal of Fashion Business. The trend of researches on clothing construction is analyzed by classifying the topics by design, body type, pattern, size of apparel, fitting of clothing, protective clothing and functional clothing, and the others, and the results are as follows. The frequency order of the studies in the field of clothing construction is body type (32%) > pattern (24%) > size of apparel (13%) > protective clothing and functional clothing (10%) > the others (8%) > design-related clothing construction (6%) > fitting of clothing (4%) > sewing (3%). The major areas of research are body types, pattern, and sizes resulting from them. Most of researches are focused on women, and researches on men are relatively lacking. In addition to the deficiency of men-related research, Moreover, researches on characteristics of body types and on corresponding sizes of consumers in the target countries of export are necessary when the reality of Korean clothing and fashion industry that depends more on foreign demand than domestic demand is considered. For production of segmented and specialized results from clothing construction research, related tools such as CAD, 3D shape systems and dress form should be developed and utilized to contribute to precision of research results.

  • 1. The Purpose of this study is (1) to analyze college women's clothing Interest. (2) to find out the relationship between Needs and Clothing Interest Field. 2. Results (1) Clothing Interest of Fashion and Shopping Field was highest in score. (2) The relationship between Needs and Clothing Interest field was as follows. (a) Clothing Interest of Construction correlated significantly with abasement, dominance, and sex atp<.05, and with achievement, affiliation, and emotionality at p<.01 level. (b) Clothing Interest of Design & Fashion correlated significantly with achievement, affiliation, aggression, dominance, emotionality, exhibitionism, sex, and autonomy at p<.01 level. (c) Clothing Interest of Shopping correlated significantly with emotionality at p<.05, and with affiliation, exhibitionism, sex, aggression, dominance, and achievement at p<.01 level. (d) Clothing Interest of Management correlated significantly with affiliation, achievement, and emotionality at p<.01, and with dominance at p<.05 level. (e) Clothing Interest of Pscho. Aspect. correlated significantly with abasement at p<.05, and with achievement, affiliation, aggression, dominance, emotionality, exhibitionism, and sex at p<.01 level.
