  • Interactive real-time 3D enables users to explore virtual three dimensional environments and also experience contents in an absorbing fashion. Unlike other media, Interactive real-time 3D users take an active role in the process of "real-time fashion" where action and reaction occur instantly in a digital 3D structure. Once the components and origins of interactive real-time 3D is made, it is possible making principles of the beauty that help decide success or failure of real-time 3D in two way system. Substantial real-time 3D has not yet passed 10 years so it was unable to make sufficient precedents of fundamental artistic value based upon the credibility of the media. The goal is to explain the new form of design in relation to general principles of arts at the same time to understand the technical definition better. Concepts of historical documentation are explained with an example of categorization of recent video game and recent technology. This thesis concludes with rough forecast on the future interactive real time 3D. Since the medium began relatively recently and is developing in the rapid pace, recent analyses, though clear forecast is difficult, tend to investigate potential directions to some level the field allows.

  • In order to understand meaningful customer experience in social media, this study profiles customer engagement by exposing the essential brand experience rooms in hyper-reality contexts. This study selects Snuggie as a target brand as it uses multiple contact points, including social media, to provide meaningful experience to customers. With their unique marketing strategy, Snuggie became a popular brand among the U. S. customers beyond just a wearable blanket. Upon analyzing a total of 364 customer reviews about Snuggie in Amazon.com, five experience rooms were exposed; "Physical artifacts" and "customer involvement" are influential experience rooms which signify interactions between products and customers, while "intangible artifacts", "technology" and "customer placement" reflect a lower degree of experiential engagement. This approach suggests a theoretical foundation in understanding the customer engagement concepts by the means of brand experience dimensions in social media. The ability to create compelling engagement in social media depends on the successful facilitation of relationships and information, which lead to a creative, communicative and interactive experience.

  • The income level of people in South Korea has risen as the gross national income per capita reached the milestone of 30,000 dollars. More and more consumers try to change their houses according to their tastes just like they express themselves through clothes, bags, and other fashion items, thus pursuing value-based consumption. The changes to the housing culture including the greater percentage of one- or two-person households and the growing trend of lease and monthly rent have made consumers increase their demands for products to express their lifestyles. As a result, global lifestyle shops with characteristic and diverse concepts entered the South Korean market and were joined by South Korean fashion brands, large-sized stores, department stores, and fancy stationery manufacturers, which launched their own brands, in the expansion of lifestyle shops across the nation. Lifestyle shops have a couple of unique attributes including the relatively clear selection of target consumers and a clear set of VMD strategies accordingly. Based on a judgment that there was cost differentiation among brands, the investigator categorized the comparison and analysis criteria into high, middle, and low prices to apply case analysis. This study set out to analyze VMD strategies for spatial composition through cost differentiation among lifestyle shops, take the results into total consideration, and propose an effective and competitive VMD strategy for lifestyle shops through spatial composition elements.

  • This survey paper examines general characteristics of "yellow" color, the oldest color in the history of art. Also the research aims to find meanings of the color and historical development embedded in clothing and textile both in orient and in occident where different philosophy and history developed. It is found here that the yellow symbolized both positive and negative meaning in the history of costume throughout the world. The color, however, was used to symbolize mostly positive meaning in the orient whereas not in the occident. "Yellow" color in orient used to symbolize the supremacy of the emperor, excellence and authority. The meaning of "yellow" color in the occident is two fold: from the positive viewpoint it represent god, king, wisdom, wealth and holy light, and from the negative viewpoint it represent image of betrayal and distrust, image of immorality, image of death and disease and image of jealousy and hatred. The concept of "yellow" was generalized in orient by the "Eum-Yang-O-Haeng Theory", while in occident by the Christianism. And the concepts came to hold concrete meanings and thereafter the symbol of yellow appeared.ings and thereafter the symbol of yellow appeared.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the evaluations and attitudes of workers in low temperature storages of discount stores toward their uniforms by carrying out a field study and a survey. The effects of evaluation attributes on their attitudes were also investigated. In this study, the reference of the evaluation of uniforms was based on the concepts of serviceability, which implies the fitness for purpose of products and consists of durability, care, comfort and aesthetic appearance. Of 400 questionnaires, 253 of them were used for data analysis. The data were analyzed by descriptives, t-test, factor analysis, reliability test and regression analysis with SPSS 12.0. As a result, it showed that workers have set low values on easy care, physiological comfort, aesthetic appearance and durability among the evaluation attributes. In attitudes toward the uniforms, emotional attitude was negative whereas behavioral attitude positive. It appeared that the evaluation attributes had influence on the attitude toward the uniforms and esthetic appearance among the attributes had the biggest effects on the workers' attitude. In conclusion, it was found that the discount store uniforms should be improved in the aspects of easy care and physiological comfort, and focused on the esthetic appearance for workers' positive attitudes to their uniforms.

  • Passive learning attitudes and lack of enthusiasm in a retailing math course is quite common and a significant number of students do express their frustrations and struggles by seeking extra help outside the classroom. In order to promote students' active participation in class and to improve their performance and overall satisfaction with the course, a modified team-based learning (TBL) method was implemented in a retailing math course in two consecutive semesters. Implementing TBL into a retailing math course would improve students' accountability for their own learning, increase student interactions and engagement, and develop teamwork and collaboration skills. The scores on the midterm and final tests indicated that students' performance improved especially for the students who scored below 80% on each test when TBL was implemented. Students' reflection on the TBL activities done in class throughout the semester indicated that these TBL activities help them solidify the concepts taught in class better. They were able to realize their own mistakes and other group members who got the question right helped them understand. To maximize the benefit of TBL, it is suggested to implement TBL within the flipped classroom. Further research is called for to evaluate the effect of TBL on long-term knowledge retention among college students.

  • In this study, we inquire into the general concepts of eroticism as it appears in literature and the arts, and use this as a foundation to meditate on the eroticism of attire throughout history. We also ascertained external forms based on the range of "The way we look" by Delong. In this way we inclusively studied both the content and form of modes of eroticism in the perspective of Brodsky's "linked solution." The original concept of eroticism is a technique by which one attains physical passion, referring to a nature which is deeply rooted in the cultural traditions, myths, habits. religion and arts of mankind, inducing expressions of sensual love. We integrated this eroticism in 4 categories: sensuality, which induces beauty; naturality, denoting idealization or rational beauty; primitivity, characterized by grotesque expressions or direct and natural sexual depictions; and symbolism by which sex is symbolically or mechanically projected. The concept of eroticism contains both positive and negative aspects, but rather than dealing with sex in a mechanical or perverted manner to express eroticism, it is more appropriate to guide the direction of modes of eroticism by stimulating the "desire to show" and the "desire to see" with the dialectic of obstruction and exposure as a figurative expression of true passion, and narcistic phenomena in which beauty is expressed through exaggeration or magnification and adhesion.

  • This study re-examines new aesthetic values pursued by Givenchy, analyzing by the Haute Couture line's chief designers. The following conclusions have been reached: Hubert de Givenchy pursued modernity, infused with simplicity and structured stability. In particular, Audrey Hepburn, who was a loyal client and used his line in several movies, provided him the platform for international exposure which he used to further develop what became known as the "Hepburn" style. The subsequent brief tenure of John Galliano did yield the fantastic and magnificent "Galliano-style", but with irregularity. Based on romanticism, it redefined fashion using a wide range of colors, subjects and decoration. His successor, Alexander McQueen, applied opposite elements using a hybrid technique of pastiche, parody and collage. With innovative inspiration he compromised the concepts of gender, time, space and cultures and recreated futuristic forms of nature, animals, insects and mythical images. Julien Macdonald, who was appointed in 2001 as the Artistic Director for the women's collections, minimized his individual style and preferred feminine, graceful and sexy silhouettes. He breathed fresh life in to Givenchy Haute Couture, reinterpreting the Hepburn style in a modernistic mode. Being passed on the responsibility for both collections (i.e., haute couture and ready-to-wear) in 2005, Riccardo Tisci redefined elegance, combining his unique and tailored gothic style with Givenchy's grace. He is developing the future of Givenchy, experimenting with volume, silhouettes, new kinds of fabric and techniques.
