This study investigates the fashion lifestyles and the effect on clothing purchase behavior by female consumers living in Mumbai India. Data were collected from 129 Indian women in their teens to thirties living in Mumbai and were analyzed by factor analysis, cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA, Duncan test, ${\chi}^2$-test, frequency analysis using SPSS 12.0. The results of this study are as follows. Five factors of fashion lifestyle are identified: fashion consciousness, price orientation, advertisement/brand orientation, being aware of others, and tradition orientation. Female consumers were classified into four groups based on fashion lifestyle factors: display/brand oriented group, active profit seeking group, fashion oriented group, and a tradition oriented group. There were significant differences among the fashion lifestyle groups on five criteria (latest fashion, price, commonality with existing clothing, size, and the distance to the store) out of the 13 criteria. The display/brand oriented group showed high scores on the latest fashion and size. The active profit-seeking group generally showed high scores on all five factors. The fashion oriented group showed high scores on latest fashion and commonality with existing clothing when buying clothes. Finally, the tradition oriented group showed high scores only on the distance to the shop, while they (the tradition oriented group) showed low scores on the other criteria. The examination on the actual conditions of clothing purchase among fashion lifestyle groups showed that only the monthly expenditure for clothing is significantly different. The display/brand oriented group and active profit seeking group spent more on clothing than the other two groups.

This study develops a valid and reliable scale to evaluate customer orientation for clothing salespeople in order to provide a foundation for systematic and empirical research in the apparel industry. The study was conducted in two phases. First, a scale was developed to evaluate the customer orientation of clothing salespeople through a qualitative method. The second phase involved the verification of the validity of the developed evaluation questions through a quantitative method. The subjects of this study were 327 clothing salespeople, and the results were analyzed using AMOS 7.0 and SPSS 15.0. The results were as follows: First, customer orientation questions were elicited from in-depth interviews with fashion sales-people, analyses of fashion magazine articles, and previous studies. From the results, 38 preliminary questions were selected based on categorization, modification, and expert analyses of the content validity. Second, in order to verify the validity of the customer orientation scale that consisted of 24 questions in 7 factors, we performed a verification of the convergent validity through an assessment of the magnitude of standardization factor loading, average variance extracted (AVE), and construct reliability. Discriminant validity was verified using the AVE of each of the two constructs and a comparison of the square of the correlation between the constructs. According to the results, the measured values were above or near the guideline values that demonstrates the validity of the customer orientation scale.
An aging population and increasing consumer demand for high-quality and innovative new products are key drivers for growth in the cosmeceutical industry. Cosmeceuticals are defined as products with biologically active ingredients that have a measurable effect on the user. This study explored the effects of shopping orientation and store attributes on impulse buying behavior for cosmeceuticals. We obtained 437 usable questionnaires from university students who had purchased cosmeceutical products. Data analysis was conducted using confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling analysis via AMOS 18.0. The findings were: 1) hedonic shopping orientation and convenience shopping orientation had positive effects on product efficacy and promotion of the cosmeceutical store 2) brand shopping orientation had a positive effects on store atmospheric, skin care service, and brand of the cosmeceuticals store and 3) product efficacy and promotion of store attributes had a direct effect on impulse buying behavior for cosmeceuticals. Consumers who tended to enjoy the shopping to refresh themselves and to experience convenient shopping were likely to purchase cosmeceuticals impulsively, which mediated by the store attributes (product efficacy and promotion). Therefore, we confirmed partly causal relationships among the shopping orientation, store attributes, and impulse buying behavior of cosmeceuticals. Both managerial and theoretical implication for practitioners and researchers were discussed for managing product information more efficiently along with promotion strategies to trigger cosmeceuticals consumers in the context of shopping.
Online to Offline(O2O), a new model of e-commerce, has been gradually recognized and accepted by consumers. Electronic commerce has become diversified and O2O marketing is the new trend of e-commerce. The rapid popularization of mobile Internet and online shopping makes O2O service gets more attention. Although recently O2O service and O2O marketing get much attention, there is no much preceding research about the antecedents of mobile shopping of O2O market. The purpose of the study is to examine the effect of shopping orientation on intention to reuse O2O services and the moderating effect of impulse buying tendency. A total of 209 surveys were collected online in total for the data of the study. The key findings of this study are as follows: First, convenience seeking shopping orientation has a positive effect on the intention to reuse O2O service and brand seeking shopping orientation has, too. Second, impulse buying tendency positively moderated the relationship between hedonic seeking shopping orientation and intention to reuse O2O service, and negatively moderated sales seeking shopping orientation and intention to reuse O2O service. The results of this study presented some implications for operators at O2O service area. Research findings and study limitations are discussed.

This study examines the effects of Chinese consumers' lifestyles on pursuing the benefits and purchase intentions for athleisure wear. Chinese female consumers aged 20 to 40 in Shanghai and Chengdu, who have purchased athleisure wear were selected for a survey, and 510 questionnaires were collected. Data was analyzed using SPSS 26.0 software. Factor analysis, reliability verification, regression analysis, and discrete analysis were performed. As a result, Chinese consumers' lifestyles were classified into three categories: 'personality orientation', 'show-off orientation', and 'health orientation'. There were four benefits: 'situation pursuit', 'practicality pursuit', 'fashion style pursuit', and 'appearance pursuit' for athleisure wear. Among the lifestyle types of Chinese consumers, "individuality-oriented" showed a positive effect on "pursuit of practicality", "pursuit of situation", "pursuit of fashion style", and "pursuit of appearance" among the benefits of pursuing athleisure wear. Next, among lifestyle types, 'show-off orientation' showed a positive effect on 'individuality' and 'appearance pursuit'. Finally, among lifestyle types, 'health-oriented' showed a positive effect on 'pursuit of practicality' and 'pursuit of appearance'. On the other hand, Chinese consumers' lifestyle types of "show-off," "health-oriented," and "individuality-oriented" all exhibited a significant impact on their purchase intention for athleisure wear. According to age groups and location, there is no significant difference in terms of 'lifestyle', 'athleisure wear pursuit benefits' and 'purchase intention'.
