The college students selected by random sampling were classified into several groups by their cosmetic impulse buying pattern and the internal characteristics that cause them. Their shopping orientation, life styles, makeup self-confidence, makeup interest and self-image were the subjects of comparative analysis. The results of this research can be summarized as follows.; fashion leader was classified fashion dual leader, fashion opinion leader, fashion innovator and fashion follower. The fashion dual leader and fashion innovator were more impulse buying orientated. The fashion dual leader and fashion innovator were highly evaluated in intellectual self faithfulness and life decoration preference style. The fashion dual leader and fashion innovator attached great importance to leisure pursuit and name brand preferring shopping. They showed the tendencies to the makeup self-confidence and makeup interest. But the fashion follower showed quite different tendencies. The fashion dual leader and fashion innovator perceived themselves as varied life style. These internal characteristics were supposed to contribute to their impulse buying.
The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of popular culture in fashion politics phenomenon of leader. As study methods the literature study concerning fashion phenomenon and nature of popular culture were used for theoretical background and visual data from magazine, news paper, and internet were used for exploratory study. The results of this study are as follows. First, fashion politics phenomenon of leader in fashion merchandising through the marketing strategy is characterized as commercial profit. These characteristics enable the fashion industry and popular culture affect the formation to provide opportunity. Second, the fashion politics phenomenon of leader projected through mass media are the fashion icons and strong role models that are copied by consumers, conformity the popular, set a powerful fashion trend. The conformity by the mechanism of the interaction of the public will contribute to the formation of popular culture. Third, Semotics symbolism expressed in the fashion politics phenomenon of the leader, the intended message is communicated to the public by creating a positive image. Positive image of the leader of the public support and acceptance is the power to create.
This study analyzed the effects of fashion companies' organizational types on job satisfaction and organization commitment of fashion designer. As well as this study analyzed the differences the organizational types, job satisfaction and organization commitment by the gender and age of fashion designer. A survey was conducted from January 5 to 30 in 2015, among fashion companies' designer of Seoul metropolitan area. And 238 responses were used in the data analysis. As a result, fashion companies' organizational types was composed of five factors(coordinating leader organization, group creative organization, external innovators' collaborative organization, bureaucratic hierarchy organization, integrative thinking leader organization). Job satisfaction of fashion designer was composed of three factors(work satisfaction, employment satisfaction, relationship satisfaction), and organization commitment was composed of two factors(affective commitment, calculative commitment). The coordinating leader organization and integrative thinking leader organization positively influenced the work satisfaction, but the bureaucratic hierarchy organization negatively influenced the work satisfaction. The coordinating leader organization and group creative organization positively influenced the employment and relationship satisfaction. The group creative organization and external innovators' collaborative organization positively influenced the affective and calculative commitment, but the bureaucratic hierarchy organization negatively influenced the affective commitment. In addition, there were significant differences in the coordinating leader organization, integrative thinking leader organization, employment and relationship satisfaction by the gender. And there were significant differences in the group creative organization, bureaucratic hierarchy organization, affective and calculative commitment by the age.
As social media has become a part of daily life, new types of online opinion leaders are emerging, and in turn, changes in traditional fashion leaders and leadership are expected. Considering such changes, this study attempted to reexamine fashion leader types and influence characteristics from the perspective of college students as fashion followers. Students were asked to write an essay identifying their fashion leader and how and why they were influenced by him or her. Sixty essays entitled "My Fashion Leader" were collected and content-analyzed. A total of 78 fashion leaders were identified and categorized into four types including celebrities, social media influencers, friends/family/acquaintances, and people seen on the street in order of frequency. Influence characteristics of the identified fashion leaders included superiority, role model, similarity, and familiarity. Similarity was observed across all types of fashion leaders, while superiority and familiarity were identified for celebrities and friends/family/acquaintances, respectively. The results imply that celebrities, mostly those from the TV, movie, and music industries, are still important as fashion leaders in society regardless of their communication style, while friends/family/acquaintances as opinion leaders within a consumer group are important to provide information, advice, and help. However, social media influencers between the two groups are expanding the influence.
The purpose of this study would be to find out the relationship of social as a sign of fashion image and the followership. This study is classified into theoretical and experimental research. Following are the summary of the results revealed through the experimental study. First, The relationship of oneself pursuit of fashion image types and leader's favourite fashion image types for regression analysis result indicated significant difference. Second, The factor analysis of followership are used, developed by Colangeol is asking. The results of factor analysis are four types classification as to Active Participation, Convergence objective, Team Spirit, Critical Thinking. Third, The relationship of types of fashion images and factor variance of followership indicated a difference in Active Participation factors. But The relationship of types of leader's fashion images and factor variance of followership indicated a difference in Convergence objective factors. Analysis of the fashion image based on the conceptual properties of followership is to understand the characteristics of followers, and the leader's image based on research for building materials will be provided.
This study identified market segments by fashion leadership and appearance interest and compared each group in clothing benefits and makeup benefits pursued as well as makeup behaviors. The data were collected from 20~30 women during September, 2012, and a total of 302 surveys were analyzed. About 46.5% was in their twenties, and more than 39% was students and 35.4% was office workers. Findings were as follows. First, according to fashion leadership and appearance interest, three groups were identified, fashion leader group, appearance interest group, and uninterested group. Second, uninterested group showed the oldest average age among three groups. Fashion leader group showed the higher proportion of students and professional. Third, fashion leader group showed the highest mean score of self-esteem, while uninterested group showed the lowest level. Fourth, fashion leader group pursued attractive body image, social benefit, and individuality for clothing benefits, while uninterested group valued convenience. Fifth, with respect to makeup benefits pursued, fashion leader group presented a high level of esthetic, self-confidence, and functional pursuit, whereas uninterested group showed the opposite. Sixth, respondents tended to depend on internet most as cosmetic information sources, followed by family/friends, and magazine in order. Implications for cosmetic business were provided.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of Women's clothing fashion opinion leaders. The fundamental conceptualization for this study was based on the theories of fashion and opinion leader. Data for the study was obtained through questionnaires from 385 houswives of Gang Nam Gu. The measure of fashion opinion leadership applied in this project was the modification of Rogers' six question self-designating method. Operationally, the characteristic under investigation categoried into three sets of variable ; demographic and socialogical variables, and mass media exposure. As to the data analyses for this study, two-way crosstabs analyses were applied in comparing the characteristics of fashion opinion leader with followers. X\sup 2\ test was used to examine the correlation of several variables. RESULTS : 1. Fashion opinion leaders are not differ from followers in demographic characteristics. 2. Compared with followers, fashion opinion leaders are more active in the participation in concerts, movies and plays. 3. In mass media exposure, fashion opinion leaders differ little from followers regarding T.V, radio, newspaper, literarly magazine, general magazine, culture magazine.
The purposes of this study were to examine fashion jewelry consumers' purchasing behavior, and to compare store retailing consumers and non-store retailing consumers. Subjects were 614 women in age from 20 to 55 years old in Seoul for this study. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, factor analysis, 2-test, and t-test were used. As the results, 52.9% of respondents had purchased fashion jewelry products via store retailing such as department store, road shop, discount store, while 47.1% of respondents had purchased them through non-store retailing such as internet shopping mall, TV home shopping, and catalog shopping. It revealed that conspicuous consumption had 2 factors: public-self consciousness and luxury product preference. Fashion leader consisted of 3 factors: fashion innovation, fashion interest, and fashion opinion leader. Brand royalty encompassed brand recognition, brand preference, and brand trust. Generally, store retailing consumers had more conspicuous consumption, higher fashion leadership, and stronger brand royalty than non-store retailing consumers. Based on these results, marketing strategies would be suggested for fashion jewelry markets.
The purpose of this study is to find out the Korean fashion brand purchasing behavior of Chinese woman college students who would be the one of major customers in Chinese market along with their preferences of Korean wave and fashion leadership. The data was collected from 379 Chinese female college students on Qingdao, China. The results based on the data analysis were as follows. 1. The students's preferences for Korean wave about Korean drama, popular song, films were relatively high. 2. Chinese female college students's evaluation of Korean fashion brand was high, especially, for the fashion trend, design/style, color, cutting and sewing, fitting, and material. However, they valued that its price was expensive. 3. The fashion leadership was classified as fashion innovation or fashion opinion leadership. 9.0% of the respondents were fashion dual leaders who were fashion innovator and fashion opinion leader. 4. The higher family income of the respondents was the better fashion leadership, preferences for Korean wave, perceived quality and attitude toward Korean fashion brand. The results showed that promotion strategy focused on keeping the Korean wave through drama, films, and popular song. And the development of high fashion brand and the word of mouth marketing through fashion dual leader were also needed in order to make inroads into China market.
