As public data opened its doors in line with the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, agricultural public data also increased. Currently, the majority of farmers are writing farming diaries due to eco-friendly certification and basic public interest direct payment projects. However, it is a difficult task for busy farmhouses in the aging agricultural community to write farming diaries. Therefore, there have been cases where farming diaries have been filled out on behalf of the farmhouses. However, one may get disadvantaged in terms of receiving eco-friendly certification and public interest direct payment projects. In succession, this paper proposes a system to conveniently write farming diaries by checking the farming diary data stored in the server via categories of crops and dates and finding farming diary public data suitable for the user to automatically fill out the diary.
This study the effects of the application of organic farming materials on the soil Physicochemistry property and plant growth, yield and components of Tomato were compared with conventional culture. The results obtained from the experiment are summarized as follows : 1. The effect of soil chemical properties after application organic farming materials, The amounts of pH and O.M. in N, P, K treated plot were few of change, To the contrary, fermentation compost and microorganisms fermentation compost treated plot were some increase, Amount of $P_2$$O_{5}$, Ca and K increase in comparison with the N, P, K treated plot. 2. Changes of soil microbial after application organic farming materials, The number of bacteria, actinomycetes and fungi in N, P, K treated plot were appeared definite direction. to the contrary, The number of bacteria and actimycetes in fermentation compost and microorganisms fermentation compost treated plot showed the increased tendency, The number of fungi showed the decreased tendency. 3. Effect of organic farming materials application on the growth and yield of tomato was superior in order of microorganisms fermentation compost plot〉 chemical fertilizers plot〉 fermentation compost plot. especially, chicken manure + microorganisms fermentation compost treated plot was the highest. 4. Effect of organic farming materials application on the components of tomato were not different.
The 78 housekeeping books were analyzed to find out the structure of income and expenditure of the farm household. The selected farm households were classified into 4 different farming types such as rice-cultivating, vinyl house, fruit-growing, and livestock farming. The results are summarized as follows : 1) The farm housekeeper ought to rationally manage farm household money income, because agricultural income was preponderated to several months regardless of farming types. 2) Farm household income was primarily dependent upon agricultural income and non-agricultural income in the livestock farming and rice-cultivating farm houshold respectively. 3) order of living expenses of the total farm households were recreation and entertainment expenses, food expenses, education expenses, and housing, fuel & light expenses in size. The major expenses were education expenses, food expenses and miscellaneous expenses in rice-cultivating, vinyl house and livestock farming, and fruit growing farm households respectively. 4) Balance of income and expenses of the farm household, s its time, size, and pattern of increase and decrease, was different by farming types. 5) Household expenses increased in February, May, August and December, though disposable income reversely decreased in February, April, August and December compared to each former month. So, special consideration should be taken into budget planning for household money management in February, August and December.
This paper studied production characteristics of organic farming products and analyzed management income and production cost of organic farming(rice). In order to analyze these points actually, this study was focused on pruduction activities of a producers' organization, Pulmoo Cooperatives in Hong-Dong Myun, Hong-Seong Region, Chung Nam Province. So the following results were obtained : In 1994, output level and an income rate of rice per unit area(10a) which was produced in organic farming method(O.F.M) was higher than those of general farming method(G.F.M) as about 5%, 7.4%. And management income size of the former was 1.8 times as large as that of the latter. But rice production cost of O.F.M was 1.93 times as much as that of G.F.M, particularily in labor cost and farming equipment cost, light and heat expenses, many other material costs. For the progress of organic farming O.F.M and equipmets should be developed much more, for example, the technics of prevetion against damages by blight and harmful insects and improvement of varieties, natural pesticides, agricultual application of microorganisim, construction of compost heat factory, etc. Since these technics and establishments have taken on the public goods, the development of those should be supported by government.
This study was conducted field surveys and theoretical discussion whether small farmers thinks there are economics of scope in small organically grown cropslivestock farming cycling system. The discussions are summarized as follows. At the end of October 2011, the cycling agriculture farms are only a total of 15 farmers, 0.1% of total organic farms in Korea. The FMD disease, FTA, family farm structure, the importance of animal health and welfare, agricultural cycles, when considering the valuation of the multifunctionality, alternative agriculture is small farming cycling system. Organic agriculture is a 'cooperation-cycling-family farm' in the interaction it is important to understand. The two groups were surveyed. Group 1 is 6 farmers who practicing cycling farming system, and Group 2 is the 33 farmers who wish to cycling farming system. Interview survey and the survey results was obtained as follows. First, We find that there are strong economies of scope, due to a decreased costs have increased net profit. Second, the multifunctional values is realized also cycling farming system. Third, but some certification standards leads to high transaction cost. Thus, a small family farm who wishing to target organic livestock certification standards need to improve.
There is little information on smallholder dairy farming in Zimbabwe. With such inadequate knowledge, no meaningful decisions on how to improve these systems can be made. A study was, therefore, carried out in Nharira communal area and Lancashire small-scale commercial area to provide information on the viability of dairy farms. This paper is based on data obtained through participatory monitoring of 13 smallholder dairy farms in 1996 and 1997. All the four farms in Lancashire were found to be viable in both years. In Nharira, two out of the nine farms in 1996 and three farms in 1997 failed to break even. There were considerable inter-farm differences in the contribution of milk sales towards total income from dairy farming, ranging from 41% to 99% in Nharira and 71% to 81% in Lancashire in 1996. Corresponding estimates in 1997 were 51-95% and 72-78%, respectively. Expenses on cattle feeds contributed 36-84% in 1996 and 37-80% in 1997 towards total variable costs in Nharira. In Lancashire, the respective estimates were 15-33% and 22-36%. Seven out of the nine studied farms in Nharira and three out of four in Lancashire realized higher gross margin (GM) in 1997 than in 1996. All these farming households had conserved considerable amounts of farm-grown feeds. It was concluded that feed costs, number of cows and sizes of land holdings were the main factors determining viability of smallholder dairy farming. The major challenge to smallholder dairy farming in Nharira, in particular, was to develop low-cost feeding strategies.
Crop inputs in excess of the yield potential of the soil type reduce profitability and increase pollution problems from leaching and runoff. Inaccurate fertilizer and pesticide application can also result in profit loss. Current farming practices plan only for the dominate soil in the field. A government-supported program titled "Pilot village project for the environment-friendly agriculture" was proceeded from 1999 to 2001 to tackle the problems with which our agriculture is faced by introducing IPM, INM and others. The objective of this study is to consider the potential input savings of agricultural chemicals and economic feasibility of the project compared with the conventional farming. The results of the analysis indicate the followings: (1) organic or no-pesticide farming size was increased from 9% in 1999 to 20% in 2001 ; (2) crop yield was a link bit lower than that of the conventional farming, but the sal6 price, gross income and income of the pilot village were 6%, 10% and 9% higher than that of the conventional farming, respectively; and (3) fertilizer and pesticide use also showed decreasing trend gradually.

In this study, a tentative decision-making matrix for village planning in reclaimed land was proposed. The evaluating conditions in the matrix are reclaimed farming acreage and distance. And the indexes for evaluation works are farming acreage required for increasing present farm size to target size in the base of, allowable commuting distance for farming from and effective controlling distance of each village. The village planning strategies are considered into four categories ; upkeep of present village scale, transfer of its superfluous farming acreage to a neighbouring village, enlargement of present village scale and new village construction in reclaimed land. As a case study, the proposed decision-making matrix was applied to 69 villages, which are contiguous to the potential farming area from reclamation works of Yongsan River Basin Comprehensive Development Project Phase Ill and so considered in this study as future farming villages there. From the application results, the following tactics for village planning may be proposed ; principally, upkeep or enlargement of present village scale, but, in an exceptional few cases of standard farming size being 3~5ha, new village construction of normal or satellite scale.
In this study, land farming and chemical oxidation of a diesel-contaminated site is compared to evaluate the environmental impact during soil remediation using the Spreadsheet for Environmental Footprint Analysis by U.S. EPA. Each remediation process is divided into four phases, consisting of soil excavation, backfill and transportation (Phase 0), construction of remediation facility (Phase 1), remediation operation (Phase 2), and restoration of site and waste disposal (Phase 3). Environmental footprints, such as material use, energy consumption, air emission, water use and waste generation, are analyzed to find the way to minimize the environmental impact. In material use and waste generation, land farming has more environmental effect than chemical oxidation due to the concrete and backfill material used to construct land farming facility in Phase 1. Also, in energy use, land farming use about six times more energy than chemical oxidation because of cement production and fuel use of heavy machinery, such as backhoe and truck. However, carbon dioxide, commonly considered as important factor of environmental impact due to global warming effect, is emitted more in chemical oxidation because of hydrogen peroxide production. Water use of chemical oxidation is also 2.1 times higher than land farming.
This study analyzes patent trends regarding farming-related technologies such as breeding or nursery technology, production systems, and new cultivation methods in order to provide objective patent information about the trends of R&D on marine products' proliferation or farming. Presently, in Korea, we try to secure marine living resources through the formation of artificial resources instead of environmental improvement policy or resource management policy. However, this is not about eliminating the causes of marine environment destruction but just the policy for improvement, so it is needed to revise the related policy with more ultimate measures. And it is necessary to develop technology that can secure the rights by integrating patent application strategies from the stage of R&D for medicine that can be utilized in chief farming countries and provide intensive support for the research centering around strategic varieties for farming in each region as well as strategic national farming varieties afterwards. Also, the analysis shows that it is urgent to make applications overseas based on domestic applications in order to develop technology that can be commercialized in not just Korean but overseas market as well.
