A Study on Financial Planning Services in the U. S. (미국의 재무 설계 서비스에 대한 고찰)

  • Financial planning in the United States has evolved since 1980 from a field comprised of specialists, such as insurance agents, bankers, accountants, and stock brokers, offering particular services to clients, to the situation today, where most professionals offering financial services to households market themselves as comprehensive financial planners. The breadth of knowledge required for financial planning can be seen in the 106 topics covered by the Certified Financial Planner(CFP) Exam. This study reviews the actual conditions of financial planning in the U.S. including suppliers of financial services to household, the philosophy of financial planning, and the financial planning process as described by the CFP Board. Also, this study discusses related research about problems and challenges faced by households in financial planning in the U.S.

  • Multi-religious situation with one of the greatest characteristics in Korea society is forming the basic to induce the conflict among the religious, The outline of the research is as follows; 1. The religious conflict are occurred between Christiianity and Buddhism·Shamanism·Nonchurch 2. The problems of sacrificial rite oneself's persistent demand for religion and the other side's disallowance against the religion and so on are indicated as one of the complication problems with the heaviest weights. 3. The power structure in family the status of branch family the rank of sibling oneself's religion and so on are related as major variables which influence the religious conflict. 4. The outcomes from religious conflict are forming on tacit consent boycott discontinuation frequent quarrels and so on. 5. Most of the persons concerned about the religious conflict are put a great value on both home and religion and they are endearing for the harmony of them.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze expenditure on children's private, after-school education, perceptional need for private education, and budget planning pattern for the expenditure of education applying survey data, and to investigate current situation to Identify solving planning for digital age. taking on-line educational service system and internet financial planning for children's educational expenditure into account. Under the purposes, this study especially focused on the condition of on-line educational service system and the merits as well as problems of the system, the need for household financial planning for children's education, and the condition or nature of internet financial planning system, in terms of providing market information and of suggesting policy implications.

  • Female-headed household is one of the common family type in the changing Korean society. This study explored and described the coping strategies of poor female household heads who were in struggle with economic, physical, and emotional problems. The data was gathered by in-depth interviews with fifteen poor female heads of households. In the process of qualitative interview and analysis, the coping strategy was emerged as an important theme. The major strategies which the poor female heads had adopted were as follows. First strategy was making up their minds to live as heads of households to keep their children in the fence of family. Second was accepting that any husbands would not be helpful in general. Third was developing independence, which meant providing their families on their own labor without expecting the support from social network or welfare system. Forth strategy was giving the present situation a positive definition: it gave them the emotional comfort.

  • In this study, the various financial management systems practiced by modem dual-income families were assessed by in-depth interviews with 6 people, 3 practicing integrated financial management and 3 practicing individual financial management. The results indicated significant differences between the two financial management methods regarding family structure, individual values, and family finances. Families that practiced individual financial management consisted of weekend couples without children who showed an individual-centered value tendency and seemed to take a positive attitude towards their future economic situation due to possession of their on stabilized financial assets. Based on these results, we can expect more families to adopt methods of individual financial management and show a wider variety in their financial planning tools which will require adequate and efficient countermeasures and strategies suitable for each financial management practice.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the basic data for Dietary Lifary Life and Culture. The frequency and percentage, x2-test and one-way ANOVA and scheffe-test for post-hoc analysis is used to evaluate our purpose by running SPSS/PC+ program. The major results are as follows: Most of the Traditional rites, Custome, and Foods are still remain as day used to be. But a few of those are changing now. That is, in the case of The Traditional Rites, peoples are not frequently participated in [The calebration of one's coming of age(2.4 out of 5.0] Regarding to the custom of Traditional Rites, most of that are the same situation with The Traditional Rites expect which have traditional supersition factor. The significant family environmental variables on satisfaction at using of professional agency bussiness for the Traditional Rites Foods are [the housewife's age(p<01], [the housewife's education(p<01] But the degree of the people's satisfaction at that is below average.

Family Resource Management and Financial Well-being of Employed and Unemployed wives in Household (주부의 취업여부에 따른 관리체계와 가계재정복지)

  • The major purpose of this research was to investigate the relationship of employed and unemployed wives' financial management behavior and financial well-being on the basis of the family resource management system theory. The data were obtained from 660 wives who lived in Seoul 1996. Major findings of this study were as follows: 1. Regardless of the wives' employment status marriage duration and level of wives' education negatively influenced objective financial well-being in the case of unemployed wives but one in the case of employed wives. 2. Both unemployed and employed wives locus of control over their financial situation positively influences subjective financial well-being 3. It was found that personal and managerial factors had effect on subjective financial well-being both for unemployed and employed wives. The path model designed in this research was found to be proven for unemployed but not for employed wives.

A study on a Financial Education Program for the Elderly (노인 재무교육프로그램의 개발과 실시)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop and test the effectiveness of a financial education program that make the elderly recognize financial problems and find available strategy to improve their financial situation. Based on the literature review and economic structure of the elderly, a financial education program was developed with three parts: 'My elderly lift'; 'Doubling my income'; and 'Safe investment strategy.' 42 elderly people in Senior academy participate in three-session program and 39 people completed pre and post-test and satisfaction survey. In order to examine the effectiveness of the program paired t-test was used. According to evaluation results, the program was found to have a positive effect on enhancing knowledge in elderly lift and financial management, but not on changing attitude. Most of participants show high level of satisfaction with the program.

  • The aim of this study was to identify perception discrepancies related to organizational effectiveness in childcare center. To achieve this, managers and teachers were treated as two different subjects. Statistical analysis showed that perception influences differed between managers and teachers. Managers were affected by organizational characteristics and director of the organization. On the other hand, teachers were affected by organizational characteristics and the manager of the child-care center. It was established that the different view points of managers and teachers led to a situation where a manager perceived organizational effectiveness in a more holistic and positive light compared to teachers. It is our assertion that in order to run a child-care center efficiently, it is very important to fortify the ability and authority of managers.

  • This study aims to inspect national security consciousness of marriage migrant women, and to figure out factors which affect on awareness of national security. Based on this, this study also suggests a way to build up national security of marriage migrant women. As the result of the factors on security situation, there were several things which are necessity of education, trust in the army and government, positivity toward North Korea and so on, while necessity of education, trust in the army and government, national pride and positivity toward North Korea were on the awareness of national security. There are three ways of building up national security consciousness of marriage migrant women. First, security education is needed to be in the social adjustment program of marriage migrant women. Secondly, concern on security is required to them. Third, a necessity of production on security education material is demanded for marriage migrant women.
