가족친화제도, 직장생활, 가정생활과 추가출산의향 간의 관계 (The Relationship among Family-Friendly Policies, Work-Life, Family-Life, and Intention of Childbirth)

  • This study is to examine the influence of family-friendly policies on married female workers'desire for an additional child and the mediating effects of family-friendly policies and birth intention on the relationship between work- and family-life. A questionnaire survey was conducted with married female women who were under the age of 40 years and with young children, using convenience sampling. Initially, a total of 400 survey questionnaires were distributed and 326 of them were gathered and analyzed as final data. The study conducted descriptive statistics, structural equation modeling, Sobel's test, latent means analysis, and multi-group analysis to test the hypotheses. The findings are as follows. First, family-friendly policies positively impacted married women's willingness to have additional children. Second, family-friendly policies had significant positive implications on married female workers' work-life. It shows that family-friendly policies influenced married women's job satisfaction and organizational commitment, enhancing work-life satisfaction. Third, family-friendly policies were positively related with married women's family-life. It revealed that the policies had an impact on their marital satisfaction and parenting stress, improving family-life satisfaction. Fourth, married women's work-life factors, such as job satisfaction and organizational commitment, were not significantly associated with their intention of childbirth. Fifth, marital satisfaction and parenting stress were positive and significant factors affecting women's willingness to have additional children. Sixth, married women's family-life mediated the association between family policies and their childbirth intention, but their work-life did not do. Last, work- and family-life mediated the significant effect of family-friendly policies on the willingness in both groups: family-friendly policies${\rightarrow}$work-life, family-friendly policies${\rightarrow}$childbirth willingness, and family-friendly policies${\rightarrow}$family-life.

독거노인과 가족동거노인의 신체적 건강상태, 가족지지 및 생활만족도에 관한 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on Physical Health Status, Family Support, and Life Satisfaction between the Aged Living Alone and Living with Family)

  • Purpose: This study was a descriptive survey research to compare and to examine the levels of physical health status. family support, and life satisfaction between the aged living alone and living with family, the relations among the factors. Methods: Subjects were the 267 aged (living alone: 133 subjects: living with family: 134 subjects) in Seoul and Gyung-gi province. Measures were Cornell Medical Index(CMI) to check physical health status, family support scale developed by Cobb(l976) to check the family support. and elderly life satisfaction scale developed by Yun(1982) to check life satisfaction. Data were collected from March to August. 2006. Collected data were analyzed through SPSS/PC 12.0 version. Results: First. degree of the physical health status. family support. and life satisfaction in the elderly living with family were better than them in the elderly living alone. Second. the relations among the factors were all positive correlation. Third. the education and monthly allowance in aged living alone did effect to the life satisfaction. Conclusion: Clinical practice should be focused on family support/social support for the aged living alone. Also nursing practitioners for the aged living alone should consider the general characteristics of them.

치위생과 학생이 지각한 가족지지와 임상실습 만족도와의 관계연구 (A study on the relationship between perceived family support and satisfaction of clinical practice by dental hygiene students)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the degree of family support and the degree of satisfaction in clinical practice by dental hygiene students. Methods : In this study, convenience sampling was conducted in 272 dental hygiene students from 3 dental hygiene colleges in South Jeolla Province, from October 4 through 15, 2010. A survey was conducted by using structured questionnaires. The data was analyzed by t-test, a one way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation coefficient. Results : Family support according to general characteristics showed a significant difference by economic status(p<0.001), satisfaction of major(p<0.01), and interpersonal relationship(p<0.05). Satisfaction degree on clinical practice according to general characteristics showed a significant difference by satisfaction of major(p<0.05) and interpersonal relationship(p<0.05). The relationship between generally perceived family support correlated with the degree of satisfaction in clinical practice(r=.154, p<0.05). Conclusions : It was found that a higher degree of satisfaction in clinical practice depends on a higher degree of family support. Therefore it is required to program development to improve satisfaction level of clinical practice by family support.

Parental Role Satisfaction Among Korean Mothers (I)

  • Parental satisfaction is the foundation of a happy family. It is a key factor in overall life satisfaction and also a critical variable in the development of children, and thus an education program aimed at parental satisfaction improvement is needed. This study attempts to determine basic elements of parental satisfaction that could enable better parental education programs. To accomplish this, mother's parental satisfaction and factors related to it were examined. The subjects were 641 mothers of primary school and middle school students aged 10, 12, and 14 residing in Seoul, Pohang and Kwangyang. Structured self-administered questionnaires were used to ascertain mothers' parental role satisfaction, mothers' role values, children related variables, mother related variables, father related variables, and home environment variables. The findings indicate that the variables related to parental satisfaction are multi-dimensional, that mothers' parental satisfaction can be improved by other family member's effort, and that a family's external characteristics are less important than its internal characteristics. These results imply that it is essential to include the characteristics of the family system when designing parental education programs. Furthermore, the role of specific family members, namely the husband, should be expanded in more supportive ways in Korean families to improve mothers parental satisfaction.

Study on the Relationship Among Perception Changes to Pre COVID-19, Leisure Satisfaction, Work-Family Conflict, and Life Satisfaction of Married Working Women

  • The outbreak of COVID-19 has significantly impacted various facets of individuals' lives, including perceptions, leisure activities, work-family balance, and overall life satisfaction. This study aims to explore the intricate relationships among changes in perceptions due to COVID-19, leisure activity satisfaction, work-family conflict, and life satisfaction of married working women. Employing path analysis, we examined a dataset of 1,973 married working women drawn from the 8th Korean Women and Families Panel Survey. The findings indicate that while changes in perception associated with COVID-19 did not directly affect leisure activity satisfaction and life satisfaction, they did significantly decrease work-family conflict, indirectly leading to heightened life satisfaction. Additionally, leisure activity satisfaction emerged as a mitigating factor for work-family conflict, contributing to enhanced life satisfaction. These results emphasize the importance of understanding the interplay between external factors, individual perceptions, and well-being, offering insights for devising tailored strategies. The study holds significance in guiding policies and interventions to enhance the quality of life for married working women in the context of evolving pandemic challenges.

기혼 직장여성의 코로나 19로 인한 가족생활 변화와 일상스트레스, 일-가정양립갈등 그리고 직무만족도 간의 관계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Relationship between Changes in Family Life due to COVID-19, Daily Stress, Work-Family Balance Conflict and Job Satisfaction of Married Working Women)

  • 본 연구는 기혼 직장여성의 코로나 19로 인한 가족생활 변화, 일상스트레스, 일-가정양립갈등 그리고 직무만족도 간의 관계를 살펴봄으로써 코로나 19로 인한 스트레스 상황 속에서 이들의 일-가정양립 갈등 감소와 직무만족도 향상을 위한 대안을 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구대상자는 2020년에 조사된 여성 가족 패널조사 8차 년도 데이터에서 기혼여성 임금노동자를 추출한 1,934명이 분석되었다. 가설검증을 위해 Amos 20.0으로 경로 분석을 하였다. 연구 결과에 따르면 코로나 19로 인한 가족생활 변화가 기혼 직장여성의 일-가정양립 갈등에 직접적 영향을 미치지 않았고 직무만족도를 증가시키는 결과를 나타내었으나, 일상스트레스를 통해서 일-가정양립갈등 증가와 직무만족도 감소에 간접적 영향을 미쳤다. 또한, 일상스트레스가 일-가정양립갈등 증가와 직무만족도 감소에 영향을 미치고, 일-가정양립갈등이 직무만족도의 감소에 영향을 미쳤다. 연구 결과에 따라 실천적·정책적 제언을 제시하였다.

기혼여성의 가족의례 구성요소에 따른 가족기능과 삶의 만족도에 대한 연구 (A Study on Family Functions and Life Satisfaction according to the Types of Family Rituals with Married Women)

  • 본 연구는 기혼여성을 대상으로 인구통계학적 특성에 따른 가족의례, 가족기능, 삶의 만족도의 차이를 알아보고, 가족의례의 구성요소가 가족기능과 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향을 살펴봄으로써, 가족의례를 통해 가족기능과 삶의 만족도를 높이기 위한 실천적 함의를 제공하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 기혼여성 136명에 대한 설문조사 자료를 토대로 다변량분산분석과 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가족의례 구성요소는 연령에 따라 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었고, 삶의 만족도는 소득수준에 따라 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 가족의례 구성요소는 가족기능에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 감정적 투자와 계획성이 높을수록 가족응집성이 높았고, 관습성과 감정적 투자가 높을수록 가족적응성이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 가족의례 구성요소는 삶의 만족도에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 감정적 투자와 관습성이 높을수록 삶의 만족도가 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 본 연구는 기혼여성들의 가족기능과 삶의 만족도를 높이기 위한 방법으로써 감정적 투자와 관습성, 계획성을 높이는 것이 필요함을 시사한다.

노인장기요양보험 시설서비스에 대한 가족수발자 만족도 영향 요인 (Factors related to Family Caregiver Satisfaction with the Institutional care services under the Public Long-Term Care Insurance system)

  • This study examined the factors related to family caregiver satisfaction with institutional care services for beneficiaries under the Public Long-Term Care Insurance(PLTCI) system. Determining what contributes to family caregiver satisfaction is a critical step toward implementing effective quality improvement strategies. A national cross-sectional descriptive survey was conducted from November to December 2008, using proportionate quota sampling based on the location and level of Long-Term Care of the beneficiaries. Total 1,745 family caregivers wrote informed consents and 733 (response rate 42%) completed questionnaires, which included caregiver characteristics, organizational resources, primary objective and subjective stressors, perceived quality of services, and family caregiver satisfaction. Family caregivers were satisfied overall with institutional care. In multiple regression analysis, there was a statistically significant difference in degree of family caregiver satisfaction according to caregiver characteristics(relationship to beneficiary), primary objective stressors (insurance type of beneficiary), perceived quality of services(respect to family caregivers' idea, ADL support, expertness of staff, careful concern of staff, fulfillment of client's requests, and safety of institution's environment). In public long-term care, satisfaction efforts are in an early stage of development. This study is meaningful as the first attempt to measure family caregiver satisfaction with institutional care for beneficiaries under the PLTCI system, and to identify factors affecting the satisfaction. Among the identified factors, the policy makers, the insurer, and the providers need to pay attention to perceived quality of services, in particular, to improve customer satisfaction. Our findings can provide quality care improvement initiatives in the public long-term care setting.

가족여가의 의미와 동기에 따른 여가 만족도 분석 - 가정지향적 여가활동을 중심으로 - (A Study on Satisfaction with Family Leisure Activities)

  • This study was conducted to examine the meaning and motivation for family leisure activities, and to analyze how the family's attitude and motivation affect the satisfaction over family leisure activities. The participants of this study were sixty-five married couples who were living in Seoul. Sata were analyzed by frequency, mean, ANOVA, T-Test, and Duncan test. The major results of this research were as follows; first, there were statistically significant differences in the meanings the families attributed to, and motivations for, family leisure activities according to social-demographic characteristics (gender, age, education, job, and income and debt levels). Second, satisfaction over family leisure activities was affected by their meanings and motivations. The participants who participated voluntarily in family activities as 'leisure activities' showed a higher level of satisfaction.

부산·경남지역 베이비붐 세대 기혼여성의 사회관계 및 가족관계가 생활만족도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (The Effects of Social Relationships and Family Relationships on the Life Satisfaction of Married Female Baby Boomers in Busan and Gyeongnam Province)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify how social relationships and family relationships were associated with the life satisfaction of married female baby boomers who live in Busan and Gyeongnam province. This study included community sample of 499 female baby boomers who were married and had at least one child. Participants reported lower levels of life satisfaction. A hierarchical regression analysis was conducted to investigate the effects of the following variables on the female baby boomers' life satisfaction: subjective health, educational level, monthly household income, employment status, perceived size of social network, participation in leisure organizations, participation in voluntary associations, satisfaction with children, and marital satisfaction. Except employment status and participation in leisure organizations, other 7 variables were significantly and positively associated with the life satisfaction of married female baby boomers. In particular, marital satisfaction had the strongest effect on life satisfaction, followed by satisfaction with children. The results suggested family played a primary role in the life of married female baby boomers. Family life education program~ female baby boomers, their children and husbands need to be developed and offered in order to improve the life satisfaction of female baby boomers.
