This study investigates the effect of in-law relationship on the marital adjustment of married couples by considering family-oriented Korean culture. Previous in-law studies did not consider the influence of another party who did not attend the survey due to sampling limitations. However, the marital adjustment of married couple and the satisfaction of the relationship with parents-in-law are two-way relationships that affect each other and are not one-sided relationships. By considering the non-independence of the couple's data, Actor-Partner Interdependence Model (APIM) was utilized to examine the structural relationship between marital adjustment (marital satisfaction and marital stability) and in-law relationship quality (relationship satisfaction between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law for wives, relationship satisfaction between mother-in-law and son-in-law for husbands) of 203 married couples. Results indicated that a high satisfaction of wives' in-law relationship increased personal marital adjustment as well as husbands' marital adjustment. The husbands' positive relationship with in-laws also increased personal marital adjustment and their wives' marital adjustment. The results of this study can be used as basic data for program development and counseling for healthy in-law relationship as well as educational data for couples intending to marry.

본 연구는 노인요양시설에 입소한 노인 환자들의 부양가족을 대상으로 만족도, 가족지지, 성과지표의 관계를 파악하고, 만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하는 것이다. 본 연구의 대상은 서울, 경기지역에 위치한 노인요양 시설 5개소에 입소한 노인환자의 부양가족 126명을 대상으로 하였으며 만족도, 가족지지, 성과지표 측정도구로 자료수집 하였다. 만족도는 가족지지와 성과지표와 유의한 순상관 관계가 있었으며(r=.250, p=.008; r=.356, p=.000), 관련변인들의 만족도에 대한 설명력은 23%였고, 만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 경제수준, 가족지지, 성과지표로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 노인요양시설에 입소한 노인환자 및 부양가족의 만족도 향상 향상시키는데 필요한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. 사회복지 정책적 함의 및 향후 연구 방향을 제안하고 있다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of relationship variables between mother-in-law and son-inlaw on a son-in-law's relation-satisfaction and negative perception. The son-in-law subjects were 319 married men aged 20-70 years, who were living their mother-in-laws in Daegu, Kyungpook, the Seoul National Capital Area(Seoul, Kyeonggy, Incheon), Busan or Kyungnam. The major findings of this study are as follows: (1) there was a significant difference in a son-in-law's relation-satisfaction of his relationship with his mother-in-law according to the number of children and (2) mutual support and a mother-in-law's conflicting attitude toward her son-in-law affected the son-in-law's relation-satisfaction and negative perception of his relationship with his mother-in-law.

The purpose of this study is to investigate that how much do middle and high school students feel stress and life satisfaction in usual life : how much do stress affect their life satisfaction : and which variables affect their stress and life satisfaction. The samples are 235 middle and high school students in Kangneung, The results of this study are summarized as belows; First. In the case of student’s stress, it is perceived that the degree of school life stress is higher than that of family life stress. And the level of family life satisfaction is higher than that the level of school life satisfaction. Second. the students who perceived a lower level of stress showed the higher life satisfaction. The family life stress is a more influential variable than school life stress to life satisfaction Third, the variables that affect the student’s life satisfaction are sex, the school achievement, the perception on the level of living, communication with the family. the relationship with the teacher and the family life stress. These variables account for about 58.8% of the variance of the student’s life satisfaction.

This study develops a scale to measure the practice of consideration and sharing by adolescents. This data as an object of high school students in regards to items generated from the content validity test and preliminary study stage based on the consideration scale, literature review and expert for elementary school students on a 5-point Likert scale. The factor analysis of the collected data using SPSS 20.0 2 indicated the final fators. The three fanal factors designated by the measuring items are: 'practice of consideration and sharing', 'recognition of consideration and sharing', and 'self-recognition'. As a result of analyzing students' individual variables, this study found that family relationship satisfaction and school life satisfaction had positive relationship in self-recognition, recognition of consideration and sharing, practice of consideration and sharing, and total personality score. The measurement tools developed in this study, are expected to act as valid tools to develop a program that can increase the practice of consideration and sharing activities.

This study compares how mother-daughter differentiation influences solidarity and relationship satisfaction between mothers-in-law and sons-in-law. The subjects of this study were 167 mothers-in-law (mean age, 59.6 years) paired with their sons-in-law (mean age, 36.9 years). Participants were given quantitative survey questionnaires on their relationships. Descriptive statistical analyses were conducted for the social and demographic characteristics of mothers-in-law and sons-in-law. Ordinary least square multiple regression analyses were also conducted to examine the level of mother-daughter differentiation, solidarity, and relationship satisfaction between mothers-in-law and sons-in-law. The results show that a higher age of the mothers-in-law results in lower relationship satisfaction between mothers-in-law and sons-in-law. Next, an increase the level of mother-daughter differentiation (which means more balance between intimacy and detachability) results in a higher overall solidarity, affectual solidarity, giving functional solidarity, and consensual solidarity between mothers-in-law and sons-in-law. However, there was no statistically significant difference in the receiving functional solidarity and normative solidarity between mothers-in-law and sons-in-law. Finally, the results show that a higher level of mother-daughter differentiation produces a higher relationship satisfaction between mothers-in-law and sons-in-law. The findings could provide a better understanding of inter-generational relationships in Korean family dynamics. The results also have implications for providing counseling for the development of healthy relationships between mothers-in-law and sons-in-law.

Purpose : This study aims to identify the relationship between person-centered critical care nursing (PCCN) and family satisfaction for intensive care unit (ICU) nurses. Methods : This research used a cross-sectional survey. The participants were 142 nurses and 121 family members from 8 ICUs in 4 hospitals in B city. The questionnaire survey was conducted between December 2018 and March 2019. The eight ICUs were divided into those that scored high and those that scored low for person-centered care relative to the average score for PCCN, and the difference in family satisfaction between the ICUs with high and low scores was compared using t-test. Results : The mean score of PCCN was $3.68{\pm}0.40$ out of 5. In the subcategories of PCCN, "comfort"was the highest at $3.95{\pm}0.49$, followed by "respect" at $3.73{\pm}0.57$, "compassion" at $3.59{\pm}0.57$, and "individuality" at $3.47{\pm}0.54$. The average score of family satisfaction with the ICUs was $3.45{\pm}0.67$ out of 5. In its subcategories, "emotion" was the highest at $3.69{\pm}0.72$, followed by "information" at $3.61{\pm}0.75$, "participation" at $3.30{\pm}0.79$, and "resources" at $3.20{\pm}0.80$. The family satisfaction ($3.75{\pm}0.54$) with the ICU of the highest-scoring PCCN was significantly higher than the family satisfaction ($3.25{\pm}0.53$) with the ICU with the lowest-scoring PCCN (t=4.97, p<.001). Conclusion: The results suggest that the PCCN scores of ICU nurses should be promoted to improve family satisfaction. It is necessary to pursue a variety of ways to secure the provision of person-centered nursing practice in ICUs.

Although researchers have, during the past decade, become increasingly interested in customer satisfaction customer reaction, and service quality issues, very little of research has devoted to the family restaurant. Family restaurant industry is among the fastest growing sectors of the tourism market. This paper discusses the importance of the family restaurant product and service quality, and presents the relationship among service quality, customer satisfaction, and customer reaction. The literature supports the value of family restaurant's service quality and relation between service quality and customer reaction. Exploratory study examined customer's satisfaction with service quality components and customer's reaction with satisfaction. The survey was conducted in four phases; service quality, customer reaction(satisfaction, repurchase intention, and word of mouth), restaurant information, general profile of customer. The results of the study show that service quality(product's quality, physical character) provided family restaurant customer with the overall satisfaction, and service quality affected on customer reaction(repurchase intention, positive word of mouth). Also overall satisfaction affected on repurchase intention and positive word of mouth.

The purpose of this study is to highlight the importance of relationship marketing which has been developed as an alternative way of handling marketing in family restaurants. This study focused on the consumers' behavior - mainly their switching behavior and loyalty toward relationship marketing activities exercised by from family restaurants. 269 usable questionnaires were collected from customers patronizing three family style restaurants in Seoul. Several statistical methods were used including descriptive analysis, reliability test, covariance analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and covariance structural analysis. The result drawn from empirical test proved that relationship marketing activities actually are the significant determinants of relationship quality and thus to the customers' behaviors toward the restaurants they patronize. Managerial implications can be drawn from the result findings that restaurant companies can identify the activities of relationship marketing to continue the long-term relationship with their customers. Also restaurant companies can use the activities of relationship marketing as differentiating strategies, and allocate their resources into the activities of relationship marketing.
