Objective of the research is to demonstrate solar thermal space and ground heating system which is integrated to a green-house culture facility for reducing healing cost, Increasing the value of product by environment control, and developing advanced culture technology by deploying solar thermal system. Field test for the demonstration was carried out in horticulture complex In Jeju Island. Medium scale solar hot water system was installed in a ground heating culture facility. Reliability and economic aspect of the system which was operated complementary with thermal storage and solar hot water generation were analyzed by investigating collector efficiency, operation performance, and control features. Short term day test on element performance and Long term test of the whole system were carried out. Optimum operating condition and its characteristics were closely Investigated by changing the control condition based on the temperature difference which Is the most important operating parameter For establishing more reliable and optimal design data regarding system scale and operation condition, continuous operation and monitoring on the system need to be further carried out. However, It is expected that, in high-insolation areas where large-scale ground storage is adaptable, solar system demonstrated in the research could be economically competitive and promisingly disseminate over various application areas.

Continuous on-line temperature monitoring provides the means to evaluate current condition of equipment and detect abnormality. It allows corrective measures to be taken to prevent upcoming failure. Continuous temperature monitoring and event recording provides information on the energized equipment's response to normal and emergency conditions. On-line temperature monitoring helps to coordinate equipment specifications and ratings, determine the real limits of the monitored equipment and optimize facility operations. Using wireless technique eliminates any need for special cables and wires with lower installation costs if compared to other types of online condition monitoring equipment. In addition, wireless temperature monitoring works well under difficult conditions in strategically important locations. Wireless technology for on-line condition monitoring of energized equipment is applicable both as standalone system and with an interface with power quality monitoring system.
In this study, remote handling strategies for a large-scale argon cell facility were considered. The suggested strategies were evaluated by several types of field test. The teleoperation tasks were performed using a developed remote handling system, which enabled traveling over entire cell area using a bridge transport system. Each arm of the system had six DOFs (degrees of freedom), and the bridge transport system had four DOFs. However, despite the dexterous manipulators and redundant monitoring system, many operators, including professionals, experienced difficulties in operating the remote handling system. This was because of the lack of a strategy for handling the installed camera system, and the difficulty in recognizing the gripper pose, which might fall outside the FOV (field of vision) of the system during teleoperation. Hence, in this paper, several considerations for the remote handling tasks performed in the target facility were discussed, and the tasks were analyzed based on ergonomic factors such as the workload. Toward the development of a successful operation strategy, several ergonomic issues, such as active/passive view of the remote handling system, eye/hand alignment, and FOV were considered. Furthermore, using the method for classifying remote handling tasks, several unit tasks were defined and evaluated.

In this study, an augmented reality(AR)-based information management system for agricultural facility is proposed. Using a variety of sensed data transmitted by Lora-based wireless networks deployed at the agricultural facility, this system is capable of augmenting the sensed data and displaying them on the user's smartphone screen to provide visualized information to user. When users point their smartphone camera to the agricultural facility, the environment information collected from numerous sensors installed at the facility would be visualized and appear on the screen. Unlike traditional system which requires user to search a specific facility and then select sensor(s) to obtain the environment information, the proposed system shows the information on smartphone screen by augmenting it with real image captured by camera without doing a series of time-taking selection process. Since the way of acquiring information is through image or video, this system contributes to convenient monitoring and efficient management for agricultural facility.
Since the start of the KSTAR (Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research) project, Instrumentation and Control (I&C) of the Neutral Beam Test Facility (NB-TF) has been striving to answer diverse requests arising from various facets during the project's development and construction phases. Hard-wired electrical circuits have been designed, tested, fabricated, and finally installed to the relevant parts of the system. In relation to the vacuum system I&C, controlling functions for the rotary pumps, a Roots pump, two turbomolecular pumps, and four cryosorption pumps have been constructed. I&C for the ion source operation are the temperature and flow rate signal monitoring, Langmuir probe signal measurements, gradient grid current measurements, and arc detector circuit. For the huge power system to be monitored or safely operated, many temperature measurement functions have also been implemented for the beam line components like the neutralizer, bending magnet, ion dump, and calorimeter. Nearly all of the control and probe signals between the NB test stand and the control room were made to be transmitted through the optical cables. Failures of coolant flow or beam line vacuum pressure were made to be safely blocked from influencing the system by an appropriate interlock circuit that will shut down the extraction voltage application to the system or prevent damages to the vacuum components. Preliminary estimation of the beam power through the calorimetric measurement shows that 87.9% of the total power of the 60kV/18A beam with 200 seconds duration is absorbed by the calorimeter surface. Most of these I&C results would be highly appropriate for the construction of the main NBI facility for the KSTAR national fusion research project.

In this paper, we introduce the design and implementation of Information exchange technique among power system facilities and/or their monitoring systems based on Universal Description, Discovery and Integration Service and Simple Object Access Protocol. The rapid progresses in high speed network, 4G web language S/W and embedded H/W enabled faster and easier communications among electric power systems monitoring facilities. However, each facility or system has its own specific protocol like RS-232 and RS-486, which somewhat limits the capability of flexible information exchange among thor In this paper, we try to demonstrate the potential of utilizing the SOAP and UDDI services in exchanging the metadata and possibly high abstraction level informations among electric power facilities and/or their monitoring systems.

This technology can provide visual assets regarding the conditions of construction jobsites as well as constructed facilities during flying over the point of interests. With the significant interests in this advancement, the recent studies have presented how the UAS can be applied fro different types of facilities (e.g., buildings, power genereation systems, roads, or bridges) to inspect the current conditions of them for safe operations as well as public's safety. This study reviewed the receent studies to document their scientific findings and practical contributions, as well as provided the overview of further implications for future studies.
For increasing the quality of SCADA system, the application of image information is demanded from typical SCADA system based on data information. Until now, the remote control and monitoring systems combine data information but now gradually have trends to combine voice, data and image information. So multimedia technology is applied to realize new SCADA system. Depends on these requires, we apply new concepts of communication network and multimedia technology to the SCADA system for electric facility. In this paper, we aim at developing multi media supervisory control and data acquisition system based on data and image information, which used electric power system and security system.

The Korean electric railway is growing rapidly such as speed of 300km/h in high speed section and 230km/h in the conventional railway section. But, power supply failure occurs because of loss of contact, defective catenary system and high speed vehicle. Therefore preventive maintenance way based reliability has been applied. Typical example is the facility inspection method using trolley inspection system. But it is required differentiated inspection method to prevent problem such as inspection errors. In this paper, a study on the trolley sliding condition inspection system using monitoring techniques is performed for performance enhancement of inspection system. It proposed the efficient maintenance method through monitoring the deviation and height of contact wire after installing inspection system on the top of train which operates in the metropolitan area. Inspection errors were decreased by virtually monitoring the video of faulty facilities. Also those facilities were identified through the impact sound analysis and tests at the main catenary section.
