A Study on Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitmentwith Relation to Kitchen Facilities and Layouts (주방 설비와 동선이 직무 만족과 조직 몰입에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is to show how job satisfaction and job immersion are influenced by kitchen equipment and layouts. For verifying the credibility and availability of the results, the methods of inter-relational and factor analyses are carried out, based on 214 collected data from the questionnaire answered by employees involved in six 5-star hotel kitchens around Seoul area. Through the process of data coding and SPSS Win 12.0 program, those collected data are verified with a correlation analysis after having been carried out with frequency, factor and creditability analyses. The results are in the followings: kitchen equipment has a significant effect on job immersion as well as on job satisfaction while the kitchen layouts also give a desirable impact on job immersion and job satisfaction. In addition to them, the results show that job satisfaction also has an effect on job immersion. It is concluded that good kitchen equipment and layouts make kitchen workers turn to job immersion and satisfaction more, which will consequently have good effects on business.

  • In this paper, the reasonable design standard of Demand Factor for large office buildings is introduced that was made by the statistical way considering actual conditions, such as investigated electrical equipment capacity, electrical power consumption, etc. The results are as follows. 1) It is shown that th saving of electrical equipment investment, the decrease of power loss, the improvement of facilities utilization and the decrease of electrical power rates can be contributed by the application of the design standard. 2) The effect of reduction is showed to confirm the practical use of the proposed reference Demand Factor, and also, it is believed that this proposed reference Demand Factor will be useful in electrical equipment operation and planning.

  • A periodic inspection for facilities in operation is an inspection that is carried out regularly, in which inspection cycles are drawn up, and it is a series of tests to determine if the condition of all the equipment is maintained, and to identify whether they are to be used or replaced. Reliability should be enhanced, without a breakdown, by preliminary inspection and regular checks for each equipment item installed for equipment maintenance. It was noticed that there was a slight difference for the same facility, and for each organization in terms of inspection cycles and methods while preparing procedures of periodic inspection checklist, inspection methods and cycles for a related organization. Therefore, this paper reviews the optimal methods of inspection procedures for Seoul Metro.

  • This paper gives information which is applied to install the electrical equipment of amusement park and ride. For analyzing the standard of electrical equipment installation, we research the related regulation of National Electrical Code(2002), IEC 60364-series and Technical standards for Electrical facilities of internal standard. Among electrical equipments of amusement park and ride, especially we study the transformer vaults, overcurrent protection and ground protection of electrical equipment. So we the furnished the installation information of transformer vaults, overcurrent and ground protection at amusement park and ride.

  • Urban Railway was used importantly with transport for several decades. This transportation facilities used electricity. When the breakdown occurs, social, the economic loss is enormous. In addition to, the power equipment was ageing. We need preventive diagnostic monitoring system in order to prevent breakdown of power equipment. In this paper, we investigates characteristic and breakdown type of the Urban Railway power equipment. Through the this research, we can contribute in the operation which power equipment is efficient of the Urban Railway.

  • In this study, S food manufacturing business located in Chungbuk was selected as the subject, and the transition in insulation resistance in major electrical equipment used in this food manufacturing business was analyzed for 4 years (2018-2021). It was confirmed that the insulation resistance decreased over time for all 18 electrical facilities. Insulation resistance changed due to environmental influences such as load characteristics and ambient temperature. Particularly in the case of the food manufacturing industry, it was confirmed that the decrease started after 2 years, although it varied depending on equipment and environmental influences. Furthermore, it was confirmed that management through predicting the management cycle of electrical equipment is possible by deriving a regression equation through regression analysis of insulation resistance measurement values.

  • Electric power facilities must have effective grounding to provide means to carry electric current into the earth under fault conditions and to prevent damage of equipment, Ignition, and electrocution of presonnel. nuts paper present an algorithm called the Pattern Search method for the optimal parameters selection of the grounding system. Computer simulation results used the CDEGS grounding analysis program verifying the effects of the grounding system design parameters obtained from this method show that the grounding systems are adequately designed.

  • In the research-oriented university there are various laboratories in the departments according to a major field of study. Under these circumstances the budget to purchase experimental facilities has only to be distributed among research teams and then is spent within the confines of it without rein. However, in case of college the budget for experimental facilities needs to be considered other allocation methods because of no laboratory being managed by professor. In this paper the methodology for the rational selection of experimental facilities for college is proposed. It is composed of the following ; (1) the rational allocation method of the budget for experimental facilities in consideration of the characteristics of individual departments, and (2) the evaluation and selection of the alternative experimental facilities submitting in each department. To decide rationally importance of estimation index for the determination of budget and equipment is applied the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) technique. First the proposed methods are presented and then discussed with simulation results.

  • The purpose of this study is to get a grasp on the current trend of apartment facilities by analyzing the bathroom facilities of the brand apartments, which are currently being sold in the metropolitan area. Twenty eight apartment complexes from top seven brand apartment, ranked by its construction ability in 2007, were selected as the subject of the study. Research was conducted by studying bathroom facilities of each complexes through e-catalogues in their web-site. The results of the analysis are as follows. Functional improvements as well as digital equipments were added to the basic facilities. Also in order to upgrade the quality of bathrooms, various and high-quality facilities and finishing materials were used as well as glass partitions for separation of dry and wet area, sunlight windows and so on. The conclusion reached to the fact that those various bathroom facilities need to be considered in the aspect of providing high quality living environment, not just supplying various bathroom to the future customer.

  • This paper presents alternatives for facilities planning and analyses them using simulation approach. For this purpose, hydro-cylinder production line was sampled as a case study. Several facilities planning alternatives are evaluated based on the several factors such as line balancing, equipment utilization, optimum number of equipments, inventory size, flow time, bottleneck machine, and productive capacity. An optimal facilities planning is proposed based on the degree of meeting with the all factors evaluated. The simulation language employed in this study is SIMAN and the data used for simulation are provided by hydro-cylinder shop.
