In order to use and manage the building energy efficiently, it is necessary to minimize building energy consumptions, and establish operation plans of various equipment. The maximum heating and cooling load calculation is an essential way in various equipment selections, and the annual building load calculation is used in forecasting & evaluating the LCC required for operation plan. In this study, noting that the annual building load changes depending on outside temperature around year, we propose a predicting method of annual building load. By using the $4^{th}$ polynomial function that have two double radix and a feature the $f(x)=a^4$ in x = 0 condition, we can calculate annual building load very easily only with the two result (maximum heating and cooling load) and a minimum parameters.
The purpose of this study was to compare dietitians' with cooks' actual sterilization performance for improving points of sanitation practices of cooking instruments and facilities in Kyonggi Province school foodservices. A total of 400 questionnaires were mailed to the dietitians and the cooks at elementary and middle schools in Kyonggi Province. Finally, 140 dietitians and 140 cooks replied by making a total of 280 replies(70%). The results of this study found that the cooks' attitudes toward the sterilization of the vegetable cutter body, multiple shelf, and distributing cart showed higher frequencies than the dietitians'. Cooks disinfected the vegetable cutter blade, multiple shelf, distributing cart, cook's aprons, and 'L' transporting cart better than dietitians' guides expected. In the sterilization method, cooks performed better than indicated when cooking with rubber gloves. The most difficult thing in dietitians' managing sterilization was the lack of cooking facilities and instruments. They strongly demanded the detailed explanatory notes according to their own Cities and Provinces and the circumstantial manual of disinfection parts in School Foodservice Sanitary Management Guide. There were possibilities of food-poisoning, infection and safety incidents due to the budgetary shortage of cooking facilities and instruments.
In the construction of subsea oil and gas developments, it is increasingly common that subsea oil and gas equipment will be installed in subsea well before final hookup and production. Installation of wellheads, subsea hardware, pipelines, and surface facilities (platforms, FPSO, FLNG, connected terminals, or gas plants) are increasingly driven by independent cost and vessel availability schedules; this gives rise to requirements that the subsea facilities must be stored in the seabed for a specific time. In addition, schedule delays, particularly in the installation or startup of the connected platform, FPSO, FLNG, or onshore plant may cause unexpected extensions of the intended storage period. Currently, there are two methods commonly used for storage subsea facilities in the seabed: dry parking and wet parking. Each method has its own risks, challenges, and implications for the facility life and its integrity. The corrosion management and preservation method selection is a crucial factor to be considered in choosing the appropriate storage method and achieving a successful seabed storage. An overview of those factors is presented, along with a discussion on the internal corrosion threats and assessments.
This paper was conducted to study the conditions for the manufacture and operation of artificial snow removal and ice-making test facilities so that the test equipment can be tested in a low-temperature environment using the polar environment performance test facility. The polar environment performance test Facility is designed to artificially simulate extreme environments up to -65 ℃, and is a mid-to-large low-temperature environment test facility that can perform performance tests on offshore plant equipment, ships, leisure, and offshore structures. To verify the safety of deck work of ships operating in polar environments, artificial snow removal and artificial ice making devices were manufactured, and we conducted research on various operating environments using these facilities. For the efficient operation of artificial snow and ice making facilities, it is important to continuously supply dry air, and it has been found that installing an additional heater at the tip of the nozzle is effective in preventing freezing.
In the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, Logistic 4.0 using data-based technologies such as IoT, Bigdata, and AI is a keystone to logistics intelligence. In particular, the AI technology such as prognostics and health management for the maintenance of logistics facilities is being in the spotlight. In order to ensure the reliability of the facilities, Time-Based Maintenance (TBM) can be performed in every certain period of time, but this causes excessive maintenance costs and has limitations in preventing sudden failures and accidents. On the other hand, the predictive maintenance using AI fault diagnosis model can do not only overcome the limitation of TBM by automatically detecting abnormalities in logistics facilities, but also offer more advantages by predicting future failures and allowing proactive measures to ensure stable and reliable system management. In order to train and predict with AI machine learning model, data needs to be collected, processed, and analyzed. In this study, we have develop a system that utilizes an AI detection model that can detect abnormalities of logistics rotational equipment and diagnose their fault types. In the discussion, we will explain the entire experimental processes : experimental design, data collection procedure, signal processing methods, feature analysis methods, and the model development.
In order to construct a data warehouse of process plant equipment, a classification structure should be defined first, identifying not only the equipment categories but also attributes of an each equipment to represent the specifications of equipment. ISO 15926 Process Plants is an international standard dealing with the life-cycle data of process plant facilities. From the viewpoints of defining classification structure, Part 2 data model and Reference Data Library (RDL) of ISO 15926 are seen to respectively provide standard syntactic structure and semantic vocabulary, facilitating the exchange and sharing of plant equipment's life-cycle data. Therefore, the equipment data warehouse with an ISO 15926-based classification structure has the advantage of easy integration among different engineering systems. This paper introduces ISO 15926 and then discusses how to define a classification structure with ISO 15926 Part 2 data model and RDL. Finally, we describe the development result of an ISO 15926-based classification structure for a variety of equipment consisting in the reactor coolant system (RCS) of APR 1400 nuclear plant.
In South Korea, small photovoltaic equipment is increasingly adopted in more detached houses on the constant basis. With this broader use of small photovoltaic equipment, its systematic maintenance becomes all the more necessary. However, photovoltaic facility maintenance has been concentrated solely on large-scale solar energy generation plants in the country while hardly covering smaller facilities. In this research, the JEM rule and extant maintenance company services were analyzed to develop a proper maintenance model for small photovoltaic equipment. The maintenance service procedures designed herein are as follows: A small photovoltaic equipment user chooses a maintenance company and signs a contract. Once a contract is made, the Korea Energy Management Corporation provides a certain kind of incentive to the company. The company provides maintenance service to the user and receives a service fee. If such a maintenance service model is in place, small photovoltaic equipment efficiency is expected to increase and users could receive systematic maintenance services. Also the new creation of small photovoltaic equipment maintenance service would form a new market to generate more jobs for the society.
As the function of a product is advanced and the process is refined, the yield in the fine manufacturing process becomes an important variable that determines the cost and quality of the product. Since a fine manufacturing process generally produces a product through many steps, it is difficult to find which process or equipment has a defect, and thus it is practically difficult to ensure a high yield. This paper presents the system architecture of how to build a smart manufacturing system to analyze the big data of the manufacturing plant, and the equipment factor analysis methodology to increase the yield of products in the smart manufacturing system. In order to improve the yield of the product, it is necessary to analyze the defect factor that causes the low yield among the numerous factors of the equipment, and find and manage the equipment factor that affects the defect factor. This study analyzed the key factors of abnormal equipment that affect the yield of products in the manufacturing process using the data mining technique. Eventually, a methodology for finding key factors of abnormal equipment that directly affect the yield of products in smart manufacturing systems is presented. The methodology presented in this study was applied to the actual manufacturing plant to confirm the effect of key factors of important facilities on yield.
This study deals with replacement analysis of deteriorated equipment for improving productivity of production system. Frequent breakdown of the deteriorated equipment causes a situation that reduces productivity such as low product quality, process delay, and repair cost. However, the replacement of new equipment will be required a high initial investment cost, so it is important to analysis the economic feasibility. Therefore, we analyze the effect of the production system due to the aging effect of the equipment and the feasibility of equipment replacement based on the economic analysis. The process flow, working time, logistics movement, etc. are analyzed in order to build the simulation modeling for a ship and land switchboard production system. Using numerical examples, the economic feasibility analysis of equipment replacement through replacement of existing deteriorated equipment and additional arrangement of new facilities is performed.

While the plant projects grow bigger and global attention to the plant is increasing, efficient space arrangement is not working in plant project because of the complex structure in installing the equipment unlike the construction project. In addition to this, presently, problem in installation process caused by the disagreement between floor plan and real spot is rising. Therefore the target of this research is to solve the problems and reaction differences, caused by changing the space arrangement in installing the equipment of plant construction. And this research suggests the equipment arrangement method for construction and related processes. To solve the problem, 3D cloud point data of space and equipment is collected by 3D laser scanning and the space matching is operated. In processing the space matching, data is simplified by applying the octree algorithm. This research simplifies the 3D configuration data acquired by 3D scanner equipment through the octree algorithm, and by comparing this data, identifies the space for target equipment, and finally suggests the algorithm that makes the auto space arrangement of equipment possible in construction site and also suggests the process to actualize this algorithm.
