음성 신호와 얼굴 표정을 이용한 감정인식 몇 표현 기법 (An Emotion Recognition and Expression Method using Facial Image and Speech Signal)

  • 본 논문에서는 감정인식 분야에서 가장 많이 사용되어지는 음성신호와 얼굴영상을 가지고 4개의(기쁨, 슬픔, 화남, 놀람) 감정으로 인식하고 각각 얻어진 감정인식 결과를 Multi modal 기법을 이용해서 이들의 감정을 융합한다. 이를 위해 얼굴영상을 이용한 감정인식에서는 주성분 분석(Principal Component Analysis)법을 이용해 특징벡터를 추출하고, 음성신호는 언어적 특성을 배재한 acoustic feature를 사용하였으며 이와 같이 추출된 특징들을 각각 신경망에 적용시켜 감정별로 패턴을 분류하였고, 인식된 결과는 감정표현 시스템에 작용하여 감정을 표현하였다.

  • Surgery first approach in orthognathic surgery is to proceed the orthognathic surgery without preoperative orthodontic treatment. This approach has many advantages, which include a shorter total treatment period, a high level of patient satisfaction due to immediate post-surgical facial improvement, easy postoperative orthodontic treatment due to early normalization of skeletal muscle, and the rapid tooth movement reflecting the regional accelerated phenomenon. However instability due to transient occlusal interference after surgery make worse of long-term skeletal stability. Especially increasing of vertical occlusion caused by interference of interbicupid and molar happen postsurgical skeletal change. Until now, there is no common consensus about treatment protocol of surgery first approach in orthognathic surgery. The purpose of this paper is to introduce our treatment protocol of the surgery first approach and to evaluate indication and limitation with case analysis.

공작기계를 위한 보와 평판의 샌드위치 구조 설계에 관한 파라메트릭 연구 (Parametric Study on the Design of Sandwich Beams and Plates for Machine Tool Structures)

  • In this paper, polymer composites based sandwich structures like beams and plates are optimised by using parametric study. The structures are composed of fibre reinforced composites for facial material and resin concrete and PVC foam for core materials. The stacking sequences and thickness of the composites are controlled as major parameters to find out the optimal condition for machine tool components. For the plate structure of machine tool bed composites-skined sandwich structure which has several ribs are proposed to enhance bending stiffnesses in two major directions at the same time. Dynamic robustness of a machine tool structure is investigated using modal analysis. From the results optimal configuration and materials for high precesion machine tools are proposed. And the plate was made of fiber reforced composite material and PVC foam.

미세수술로 복합조직 이식술을 이용한 두경부 종양의 재건 (Microsurgical Composite Tissue Transplantation in Reconstruction of the Head and Neck Tumor)

  • Although regional and myocutaneous flaps are still the standard in head and neck reconstruction. The capacity to transfer distant tissues by microsurgical technique expands the reconstructive surgeon's ability to restore severe deformities of the head and neck. From 1981 to 1985, thirteen patients with extensive defects of the head and neck after extirpative surgery of tumor have been reconstructed utilizing the technique of microsurgical composite tissue transplantation. In this series of patients, six presented with reconstructions in the different region of the head and neck with review of literatures. The results of case analysis are summarized as follows: 1) Transplantation was successful in twelve among thirteen patients (92%). 2) Seven patients presented with malignancy and six with benign tumor. 3) Frequent sites of reconstruction were face and mandible. 4) Fourteen free composite tissue transplantations for reconstruction of thirteen patients were obtained six different tissue compositions from eight different donor sites. 5) The recipient artery and vein was most often superficial temporal or facial vessels. 6) The average time of operation was ten hours.

  • 본 논문에서는 크게 2단계에 걸쳐 다양한 형태의 얼굴을 가진 2차원 애니메이션 상의 캐릭터 얼굴구성요소를 추출하고 표정을 분석한다. 첫 번째 단계에서는, 기존의 얼굴인식 및 표정인식 분야에서 이용되었던 동적메쉬모델을 간소화하여 캐릭터 얼굴에 적용하기 위한 최적의 표준 메쉬모델을 제작하고, 이 모델을 사용하여 얼굴구성요소의 위치 및 형태정보를 추출한다. 두 번째 단계에서는, 앞 단계에서 추출된 3가지 얼굴구성요소(눈썹, 눈, 입)를 사용하여 FACS(Facial Action Coding System)에 정의된 AU(Action Units) 44개 중 12개의 AU를 사용하여 캐릭터의 5까지 기본적인 얼굴 표정에 대해 분석 및 정의한다. 본 논문에서 정의한 AU로 기본적인 5가지 얼굴표정에 대해 표정분석 정확도를 측정하였고, 서로 다른 캐릭터에 실험함으로써 제안된 AU정의의 타당성을 제시한다.

  • Genioplasty may considerably change a person's face which needs surgical correction of deformed chin. Comprehensive treatment planning is therefore decisive for the treatment to be successful. A three-dimensional analysis of chin relative to cranial base, upper and lower jaws using the frontal and lateral facial photographs and cephalographs permits classification of the defective chin position and provides a basis for operation planning and deciding upon the operation method. A chin miniplate system has been developed for intraoperative registration securing the sagittal, vertical and horizontal position of the osteotomized chin and ould reduce the relapse rate.

  • Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome (RTS) is a congenital disorder characterized by typical facial features, broad thumbs and toes, with mental retardation. Additionally, tumors, keloids and various congenital anomalies including congenital heart defects have been reported in RTS patients. In about 50% of the patients, mutations in the $CREB$ $binding$ $protein$ ($CREBBP$) have been found, which are understood to be associated with cell growth and proliferation. Here, we describe a typical RTS patient with Arnold-Chiari malformation. A mutation in the CREBBP gene, c.4944_4945insC, was identified by mutational analysis.

Face Recognition Based on Improved Fuzzy RBF Neural Network for Smar t Device

  • Face recognition is a science of automatically identifying individuals based their unique facial features. In order to avoid overfitting and reduce the computational reduce the computational burden, a new face recognition algorithm using PCA-fisher linear discriminant (PCA-FLD) and fuzzy radial basis function neural network (RBFNN) is proposed in this paper. First, face features are extracted by the principal component analysis (PCA) method. Then, the extracted features are further processed by the Fisher's linear discriminant technique to acquire lower-dimensional discriminant patterns, the processed features will be considered as the input of the fuzzy RBFNN. As a widely applied algorithm in fuzzy RBF neural network, BP learning algorithm has the low rate of convergence, therefore, an improved learning algorithm based on Levenberg-Marquart (L-M) for fuzzy RBF neural network is introduced in this paper, which combined the Gradient Descent algorithm with the Gauss-Newton algorithm. Experimental results on the ORL face database demonstrate that the proposed algorithm has satisfactory performance and high recognition rate.

Photocatalytic Performance of CoS2-Graphene-TiO2 Ternary Composites for Reactive Black B (RBB) Degradation

  • In this study we examined the photo-degradation efficiency of $CoS_2-G-TiO_2$ nanocomposites under visible light irritation using Reactive Black B (RBB) as standard dye, $CoS_2-G-TiO_2$ nanocomposites synthesized by facial microwave assist technique, and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and Raman spectroscopic analysis. Our results show the efficiency of the $CoS_2-G-TiO_2$ ternary nanocomposite is better than $CoS_2-G$ and $TiO_2-G$ nanocomposite. The degradation efficiency of $CoS_2-G-TiO_2$ nanocomposite was found approximately 89% of Reactive Black B (RBB) degraded after 180 min. Our results will open new way for the development of a new ternary nanocomposite photocatalytic application.

1차 모멘트와 주요성분분석을 이용한 얼굴표정 인식 (Recognizing Facial Expression Using 1-order Moment and Principal Component Analysis)

  • 본 논문에서는 영상의 1차 모멘트와 주요성분분석을 이용한 효율적인 얼굴표정 인식방법을 제안하였다. 여기서 1차 모멘트는 영상의 중심이동을 위한 전처리 과정으로 인식에 불필요한 배경의 배제와 계산시간의 감소로 인식성능을 개선하기 위함이다. 또한 주요성분분석은 얼굴표정의 특징인 고유영상을 추출하는 것으로, 이는 2차의 통계성을 고려한 중복신호의 제거로 인식성능을 개선하기 위함이다. 제안된 방법을 각각 320*243 픽셀의 48개(4명*6장*2그룹) 얼굴표정을 대상으로 Euclidean 분류척도를 이용하여 실험한 결과 전처리를 수행하지 않는 기존 방법보다 우수한 인식성능이 있음을 확인하였다.
