Most enterprises today work on digital transformation projects to cope with uncertainties caused by the rapid change and cutting-edge technology. The key point is they need to take a novel approach on new projects for high performance. In this context, there is a growing interest in utilizing agile method; however, many studies on Impact of Digital Transformation on the Results of Innovation do not deal with agile methodology. The research specifies the case of Seoul Metro, regarded as best-practice on digital transformation, based on the agile way of working. The case study is based on in-depth interview with Seoul Metro's executives and employees, and the interview is analyzed using keywords from the 12 Agile Principles. Thus, among the 12 Agile Principles, Motivation and Trust, Face-to-face Interactions, Continuous Attention to Technical excellence and good design, Self-Organizing Team contributed the most to successful digital transformation projects. In addition, based on Requirements Uncertainty and Technical Degree of Uncertainty, they carry different kinds of traits. For instance, the higher the uncertainty toward requirements and required technology is, the more technological development pace is maintained. Given the conservative nature of public corporations, it is necessary to adopt the agile way of working, such as improving employees' technological capabilities and allowing teams to be organized within themselves, in a bid to produce successful innovation outcome.
Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the factors that predict a current smoking behavior and higher emotional stress among male patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Methods: The study was approved by an institutional review board from a university hospital, 2010. A face to face interview using questionnaires was performed with 185 first-time ACS male patients who were undertaken a percutaneous coronary intervention at a cardiovascular care unit. Data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 15.0. Results: About 54% of the study subjects were currently smoking. The current smokers had dyslipidemia and reported bad eating habits compared to the non-smokers. The current smokers were younger, living alone, and reported lower perceived benefit on smoking cessation than the non-smokers, and 15% of them did not consider quitting (precontemplation stage). Smoking status was not significantly related to emotional stress. Logistic regression analysis revealed that being employed including professional or labor increased the odds of current smoking four or three times compared to the non-employed or retired. Low income or dyslipidemia also increased the likelihood of current smoking 2.8 and 2.1 times, respectively. Blue collar workers or heavy drinkers had 2.9 and 2.8 times more risks of having higher level of stress. Conclusion: An occupational background and health habits should be considered to develop an effective educational strategy for smoking cessation and stress reduction among male patients with ACS.
This study aimed to develop and pilot-test educational program prototypes of training health coaches to help cancer patients overcome crises and create positive growth. For this purpose, the educational contents and methods of the blended learning program prototypes were derived through learner needs and literature analysis. The prototypes, which consist of introducing of health management and health information and understanding and practice of basic coaching and health coaching, were developed to integrate with four sessions of face-to-face, off-line classes, training practices through 12 tele-classes, and use of online learning system. The prototypes were conducted and pilot-tested by a total of 35 students selected through the document screening and the interview. After participating in the blended learning program, learners expressed greater overall satisfaction with each session program (average score = 4.36, with 5 being most satisfied), satisfaction with learning contents (average score=4.42) satisfaction with course preparation (average score = 4.26) and satisfaction with lecture materials (average score = 4.19). The results of this study show that a systematic and integrative approach for designing a blended learning program can be useful for various educational needs in health and medical fields. In the future, empirical studies are expected to see how these curricula are actually implemented and assess whether the intended learning outcomes are achieved.
This study attempted to estimating economic value of environmental resource by using the contingent valuation method(CVM), known as one of the tool measuring the economic benefits. To analysis the preservation value of Bong-seo Mt.. the surveys were conducted for citizens resident in Cheonan city. The sample sizes of the survey were 200 respectively. The survey method adopted face-to-face interview method as a mean of correcting useful response. This study considers models for evaluating the willingness to pay(WTP) based on payment card contingent valuation survey data and has attempted to measure goodness of fit for the data obtained from the survey design. It was estimated that the average WTP of Cheonan citizens for a maintenance and management of Bong-seo Mt. was 5,010 won per month and 60 ,118 won per year. When it is translated by total number of households in Cheonan city, there is the preservation value of approximately 8.8 billion won per year. On the other hand, total expense of development increased about 1.7 times over including application of the preservation value.
Purpose of the research: In response to the increasing number of selling centers, this paper examines factors that influence the voluntary participation in selling centers. The goal of this study is to enable organizations to meet changing market conditions, which require interdisciplinary collaboration during sales projects. This paper also discusses potential problems which may occure during the implementation of these factors in practice. Research design and methodology: The research method consists of a qualitative cross-sectional study with N=12 interviewees. All interviewees are current or former selling center participants. During the interview sessions, semi-structured face-to-face interviews were used, which were evaluated using a qualitative content analysis. In addition, a frequency analysis was applied to evaluate the number of mentions per factor. Research results: In total, five factors were raised in order to improve the framework conditions of voluntary participation. These factors are performance incentives, transparency, availability of resources, goal orientation, as well as collegiality and affiliation. Major conclusions: The identified factors are also under discussion in the existing literature. Knowing about factors that generate voluntary participation in selling centers pays off particularly in improving the probability of completion of sales projects in which buying centers and selling centers are working together.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the incidence of unintentional-injury and to identify factors related to the high incidence of unintentional-injury in the community in order to provide useful data for the development of prevention and intervention programs aimed at reducing unintentional-injury incidence. Methods: This study utilized data obtained from cross-sectional national surveys conducted for the 2001 National Health and Nutrition Survey targeting 37,769 individuals aged between 0 and 99 years old, which was performed using a face-to-face interview method. Demographic characteristics, unintentional-injury experience, types of injury, and attributes of health behavior were included in the study instruments. Results: About 1.3% of the subjects had experienced unintentional injury that required hospitalization at least once during the past year. Age older than 40 years, male gender, lower education, lower income, and blue collar workers were all significantly and positively associated with increased risk of unintentional-injury. Among the health behavior variables, sleeping less than 6 hours, drunk driving, and binge drinking were significantly associated with unintentional injury, while traffic accidents and falls/slips constituted 80% of all unintentional injuries. Conclusion: Public health efforts to reduce unintentional injuries should target high-risk populations such as males, those with low income and education levels, and binge drinkers.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore emotional labor experienced by nurses in ambulatory care setting. Method: The phenomenological method developed by Giorgi was used for this study. The participants were 9 nurses who had experienced emotional labor. Data were collected between May and August 2010 by face-to-face interviews. The interview was recorded and then transcribed. Results: The constituents associated with the meaning of the nurses' experiences of emotional labor in ambulatory care setting were as followings: bearing down of suffering emotions coming up from the bottom, feeling loneliness when having to undertake care alone by oneself, having conflict between nursing professional and services, managing mind by means of both internal and external resources, getting ridding oneself of conflict with forced emotions over time. Conclusions: The results of this study should contribute to a deeper understanding of the meaning of emotional labor experienced by nurses in ambulatory care. The results also highlight the need to develop programs for nurses in ambulatory care setting to help them express their real action.

The Publicly Purchased Property (PPP) Program since 2004 has allowed low-income households to reside in decent housing at a reasonable expense and to live in a community they choose. With an increasing number of the housing stock, management of the properties becomes a growing concern. The purpose of this research is to find out the satisfaction of the tenants with residential environment and housing management. To collect data, a face-to-face interview survey was conducted for 310 households living in the designated properties of 8 cities in and outside the Seoul Metropolitan Area (SMA). Most of the households were a family of three headed by late middle-aged man and lived in physically sound, small-sized units at an affordable cost. Overall satisfaction with living environment was higher in non-SMA than in SMA, and influenced by building deterioration and unit size. Further, most of the respondents were in favor of housing management services provided by a nearby public housing estate. Building deterioration and regular onsite visits of management staff were determinants in the satisfaction with housing management. The results indicate that proper housing management delays building deterioration and assures decent living for low-income people, leading to high levels of residential satisfaction.
