사각 프리폼 블로우 성형 특성에 관한 수치적 연구 (Numerical study on the blowing deformation characteristics of a square shaped preform)

  • This study presents the preform injection molding and the blow molding of the injection stretch-blow molding process for PET bottles. The numerical analysis of the injection molding and the blow molding of a preform is considered in this paper using CAE with a view to minimize the warpage and the thickness. In order to determine the design parameters and processing conditions in injection/blow molding, it is very important to establish the numerical model with physical phenomenon. In this study, we appropriately predicted the warpage, deformation and thickness distribution along the product walls.

  • The free vibration characteristics of cylindrical shells on inclined partial elastic foundations are investigated by an analytical method. The cylindrical shell is partially surrounded by the elastic foundations, these are represented by the Winkler or Pasternak model. The area of elastic foundation is not uniform and varies along the axial direction of the shell. The motion of shell is represented by first-order shear deformation theory(FSDT) to account for rotary inertia and transverse shear strains. The governing equation is obtained using the Rayleigh-Ritz method and a variation approach. To validate the present method, the numerical example is presented and compared with the present FEA results. The numerical results reveal that the elastic foundation has significant effect on vibration characteristics.

  • Optimal design of the direct-driven Permanent Magnet(PM) wind generator, combined with F.E.A(Finite Element Analysis) and Genetic Algorithm(GA), has been performed to maximize the Annual Energy Production(AEP) over the entire wind speed characterized by the statistical model of wind speed distribution. Particularly, the proposed parallel computing via internet web service has contributed to reducing excessive computing times for optimization.

  • This paper deals with design and characteristics analysis of 7.5-kW, 60,000-rpm class permanent magnet synchronous motor for turbo compressor. In order to determine the design parameters of rotor, torque per rotor volume method is applied. And, to analyze the magnetic field distribution and estimate the electrical parameters such as back EMF constant, inductance and torque constant, electromagnetic transfer relations theorem is employed. We compare the characteristics analysis results of model designed by proposed method with those by nonlinear FEA. As a result of this, the design have been validated.

  • This paper deals with characteristic analysis of surface mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor according to a phase-separation of stator. The characteristic analysis of designed model is performed by finite element analysis(FEA), and the result are shown that there is no difference between the two models in comparison with a general SPMSM. Finally, this study verifies the feasibility of SPMSM with separated stator core. The experimental data is shown the validity of this paper.

  • An efficient method for calculating the nonlinear stiffness of the Progressive Multi-Leaf Spring is developed and evaluated. It utilizes the interaction between the main and help spring that induces the nonlinearity. The main and the help springs are modeled as multi-leaf cantilever beams, and, then, they are integrated as one by connecting the two models for each side of the Progressive Multi-Leaf Spring at the center-bolt. The results from the developed model are evaluated by use of the commercial FEA program, ABAQUS. The nonlinear spring coefficients calculated by FEM analysis yield the numbers very close to the numbers calculated for the spring coefficients by used of the developed method. From the comparative evaluations, the developed method is accurate enough and very efficient in calculation time for evaluating the nonlinear spring property of the Progressive Multi-Leaf Spring.

  • Shock-resistance test for a real equipment for a normal vessel is one of the difficult problem in many cases because of terrible cost and weight. An analysis technique to evaluate the shock resistance in a design stage is necessary, instead In this paper, the process to evaluate the shock resistance of a propulsion motor for naval vessels was presented based on German navy's BV043 regulation. The shock signal to impose the equipment under the test was first evaluated, and was then applied to the structural FE model of the equipment. From the transient FEA, the time history of von-Mises stress was obtained by the mode superposition method. The shock resistance was evaluated using the peak value of the von-Mises stress.

  • In the proposed research plan, the effects of anisotropic and time-dependent mechanical properties on nanoindentation measurements of osteonic lamellae in a human cortical bone are investigated. The most popular method(Oliver-Pharr method) in nanoindentation data analysis is based on the assumption of elastic isotropy. Since cortical bone has exhibited anisotropy, it is necessary to consider the effects of anisotropy on nanoindentation measurement for cortical bone. By comparison with the contact area obtained from monitoring the contact profile in FEA simulations, the Oliver-Pharr method was found to underpredict or overpredict the contact area due to effects of anisotropy. The mount of error depended on the indentation orientation. The indentation modulus results and were also similar to moduli calculated from mathematical model. The Oliver-Pharr method has been shown to be useful for providing first order approximations in analysis of anisotropic mechanical properties of cortical bone, although the indentation modulus is influenced by anisotropy.

  • Ultrasonic fine welding, cutting, cleaning, inspection and measurement is widely used in various fields over 20kHz. However, for High Frequency of 60kHz or more study areas is still insufficient, and the result is lacking. Therefore, this study used ultrasonic horn to the Bonding of Dissimilar Materials for effective design. Finite element analysis (FEA) is using the equations of motion to establish the model. The optimal design for the basic interpretation of vibration characteristics of the ultrasonic measures horn will examine the design.
