기후 및 해양 요인과 김 생산량과의 관계에 관한 연구 (The Relationship between Climatic and Oceanographic Factors and Laver Aquaculture Production)

  • While some steps in laver aquaculture production can be controlled artificially to a certain extent, the culturing process is largely affected by natural factors, such as the characteristics of seawater, climatic and oceanographic conditions, etc. This study aims to find a direct relationship between climatic and oceanographic factors (water temperature, air temperature, salinity, rainfall, sunshine duration and wind speed) and laver aquaculture production in Wando region, the biggest aquaculture production area of laver, located in the southwest coast of Korea using a multiple regression analysis. Despite the small sample size of a dependent variable, the goodness of model fit appeared acceptable. In addition, the R-squared value was 0.951, which means that the variables were very explanatory. Model results indicated that duration of sunshine, temperature, and rainfall during the farming period from the end of September to the end of April would be important factors affecting significantly to the laver aquaculture production.

치어 주문모형에 관한 연구 (Ordering Model of Fingerlings in Aquaculture Farm)

  • Fish mortality is the most important success factor in aquaculture management. To order fingerlings considering the effect of mortality is a important problem in aquaculture farm. This study is aimed to decision the number and size of fry in aquaculture farm. This study build the mathematical model that finds the value of decision variable to minimize total cost that sums up the fingerling purchasing cost, aquaculture farm operating cost and feeding cost under mortality constraint. The proposed mathematical model involve biological and economical variables: (1) number of fingerlings (2) fish growth rate (3) mortality (4) price of a fry (5) feeding cost, and (6) possible order period. Numerical simulation model presented here in. The objective of numerical simulation is to provide for decision makers to analyse and comprehend the proposed model. When extensive biological and cost data become available, the proposed model can be widely applied to yield more accurate results.

육상 김 양식 시스템 개발을 위한 실증화 연구 (An Empirical Study for Development of Onshore Gim (Pyropia yezoensis) Aquaculture System)

  • As a first step in obtaining the minimum level of data needed to develop smart cultivation technology for Korean seaweed gim (Pyropia yezoensis), farming tests have been carried out using onshore aquaculture facilities. The aquaculture facility was built on paddy farmland on the west coast of Chungnam and received seawater from nearby sea. In this paper, we report the overall process and results of the aquaculture trials attempted in Korea's first onshore gim aquaculture facilities. In addition, the industrial possibility of gim production using the onshore aquaculture system will be discussed through the analysis of all expenses incurred in the test form.

부산시 연안 어선어업 경영체의 성공요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on Success Factors of Coastal Fisheries in Busan Region)

  • Due to the environmental changes such as decreasing and aging fishing population and increasing imported marine products, improvement of fishing business competitiveness has become one of important issues. This study aimed to analyze the coastal fishing business units in Busan region and compare their business performances in order to find out success factors. The logistic regression analysis between 4 determination factors of competitiveness and business performances showed that the ship tonnage in the factor conditions, catch of species of fishing types'kg per price in the demand conditions, cooperative sales ratio in the related & supporting industries, and net per cost in the firm strategy, and structure & rivalry had the positive(+) impacts on business performances.

육상수조 어류양식 생존율에 따른 비용분석모형 (Cost Analysis Model according to Mortality in Land-based Aquaculture)

  • Fish mortality is the most important success factor in aquaculture management. To analyze the effect of mortality considering biological and economic condition is a important problem in land-based aquaculture. This study is aimed to analyze the effect of mortality for duration of cultivation in land-based aquaculture. This study builds the mathematical model that finds the value of decision variable to minimize cost that sums up the water pool usage cost, sorting cost, fingerling cost and feeding cost under critical standing corp constraint. The proposed mathematical model involves many aspects, both biological and economical: (1) number of fingerlings (2) timing and number of batch splitting event, based on (3) fish growth rate, (4) mortality, and (5) several farming expense. Numerical simulation model presented here in. The objective of numerical simulation is to provide for decision makers to analyse and comprehend the proposed model. When extensive biological and cost data become available, the proposed model can be widely applied to yield more accurate results.

수산물 수급통계의 문제점과 개선방향 (A Study on Problems and Improvement in Statistics on Fisheries Supply and Demand)

  • The purpose of this study was to raise some questions about the supply and demand statistics of fisheries products and to find implications for food supply and demand. There are three problems in the statistics of fisheries supply and demand. First, it is a structural problem of supply and demand statistics. Supply and demand statistics are not accurate because the feed, the amount of loss, and the waste rate are not surveyed. Second, the amount of fish used as a moist pellet is missing. Third, although some of the seaweed and kelp production is used as abalone feed, it is not classified as feed. Taking these results into consideration, at least 300,000 tons should be classified as feed for fisheries supply and demand statistics. As mentioned above, the current statistics on the supply and demand of fisheries are incomplete and structural improvement is needed.

고등어 외해가두리양식의 경제성 분석 (An Economic Feasibility Study of Mackerel Offshore Aquaculture Production System)

  • This study aimed to analyze the economic feasibility of Mackerel offshore aquaculture production performance in Jeju region, Korea. Based on the collected biological, costs and market price data, farming revenue and expenses during the farming period were evaluated, and the net present value and the internal rate of return of a 10-year cash inflow and cash outflow were estimated to determine the economic feasibility of Mackerel offshore aquaculture production system. Model results indicated that the Mackerel offshore aquaculture production performance would have high profitability under the current production and market situation. This is because of the relatively high survival rate, relatively low feed conversion ratio and good market prices. However, sensitivity analyses of main important biological and economic variables showed that the economic viability of Mackerel offshore aquaculture production system would be highly vulnerable to production and market condition changes.

  • This study has the purpose to examine the effects of hygiene factor(job environment factor) and motivation factor(job motivation factor) of seamen on satisfaction, turnover intention and organizational commitment. To that end, with the scope of study subjects limited to coastal waters seamen, positive analysis was done through literature study and questionnaire analysis, and focus was given to the prospect of acquiring seamen by change of outside environment. Results of analyzing the factors affecting coastal waters seamen satisfaction, turnover intention and organizational commitment were as follows. First, the factors that affect satisfaction significantly are personal relationship and willingness to participate. Second, the factor that affects turnover intention significantly is employment stability. Third, the factors that affect organizational commitment significantly are personal relationship and willingness to participate.

도서지역 어촌의 조건불리성 분석: 농림어업총조사 자료를 이용하여 (An Analysis on the Less Favored Condition of Fishing Village in Korean Island Regions using Census of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries)

  • The purpose of the study is to analyze the status and trend of less favored condition of fishing village in Korean island regions using the census of agriculture, forestry and fisheries. The less favored condition was measured as the difference in accessibility to major services and in fishery sales and resident infrastructure, applying the difference-in-difference method and propensity score matching method respectively. The result shows that access to major services has improved in island area between 2010 and 2015, implying that related policies such as the island comprehensive development project have been successful to some extent. However, some educational facilities, cultural facilities, and health facilities still have low inaccessibility and fishery sales are also significantly lower than in general area. This suggests that it is necessary to maintain related policies like the direct payment of fisheries.

친환경양식어업육성 민간보조사업의 활성화 방안 (A Study on the Revitalization of the Private Subsidy for Environmentally Friendly Aquaculture)

  • Effective implementation of private subsidy projects requires comprehensive expertise in the aquaculture and construction sectors to be provided to private subsidy operators, local government officials and others involved in budget execution and settlement. Due to the strengthening of laws and systems related to the execution of state subsidies since 2015, the efficient implementation of private-sector grant projects has been difficult for delays in projects, cancellations, and conflicts with local governments from lack of prior awareness and understanding of related regulations. It is expected that the government will be able to activate the project by analyzing the current status and problems of each phase of project implementation for improving quality internalization of the project effects, as well as quantitative growth of the private sector subsidy project for environmentally friendly aquaculture development projects.
