Position Sensorless Control of BLDC Motors Based on Global Fast Terminal Sliding Mode Observer

  • The brushless DC motor (BLDCM) has many advantages. As a result, it is widely used in electric vehicle (EV) drive systems. To improve the reliability of the motor control system, a position sensorless control strategy based on a sliding mode observer (SMO) is proposed. The global fast terminal sliding mode observer (GFTSMO) is proposed to enhance the control performance of the SMO control system. The advantages of the linear sliding mode and the nonsingular terminal sliding mode (NTSM) are combined in the control strategy. The convergence speed of the system state is enhanced. The motor commutation point is obtained with the observation of the back EMF, and the instantaneous torque value of the motor is calculated. Therefore, the position sensorless control of the BLDCM is realized. Experimental results show that the proposed control strategy can improve the convergence speed, dynamic characteristics and robustness of the system.

The fast image encryption algorithm based on substitution and diffusion

  • A fast image encryption system based on substitution and diffusion was proposed, which includes one covering process, one substitution process and two diffusion processes. At first, Chen's chaotic system together with an external 256-bit long secret key was used to generate the key streams for image encryption, in which the initial values of Chen's chaotic system were regarded as the public key. Then the plain image was masked by the covering process. After that the resulting image was substituted with the disturbed S-Box of AES. Finally, the substituted image was diffused twice with the add-modulo operations as the core to obtain the cipher image. Simulation analysis and comparison results with AES and some existing image cryptosystems show that the proposed image cryptosystem possesses the merits of fast encryption/decryption speed, good statistical characteristics, strong sensitivity and etc., and can be used as a candidate system of network security communication.

  • This paper describes a fast circuit simulation technique using the latency insertion method (LIM) with a parallel and distributed leapfrog algorithm. The numerical simulation results on the PC cluster system that uses the cloud computing system are shown. As a result, it is confirmed that our method is very useful and practical.

  • Magnetic Servo Levitation (MSL) has been proposed as a method to drive a fast-tool servo system. This paper discusses some fundamental control and modeling issues in the development of a long-range high-bandwidth fast-tool servo based on MSL. A resursive linear model is developed to describe the system's dynamics linear model is developed to describe the system's dynamics, and further used to discuss controller design. For a given controller architecture, the performance of two controllers is then compared, one based on an approximation to the inverse plant dynamics, the second based on a adaptive neural network.

  • In this paper, we designed and fabricated a fast switching system for high power pulse. This system consists of a voltage conversion circuit, high voltage charging circuit, trigger circuit, and discharging circuit. Especially discharging line is designed by strip-line for low inductance and resistance. The experimental result is that current slew rate of the system is 6.67kA/86ns and this result is fully qualified for initiating EBW or EFI

  • This paper presents the development of ultra-precision machining process of large aspheric aluminum mirrors with a maximum diameter of 620 mm. An ultra-precision machine, "Nanoturn60", developed by Daewoo Heavy Industries Ltd. is used for machining and motion errors of the machine are compensated by using the FTS developed by IAE(Institue for Advanced Engineering) during the machining process. To check the form accuracy of machined aspheric surfaces, on-machine form measurement system is developed. This measurement system consists of air bearing touch probe, straight edge, and laser sensor. With in-process error compensation by FTS(Fast Tool Servo), aspheric mirrors with the from accuracy of submicron order are obtained. obtained.

  • The introduction of the fast Fourier transform(FFT),an efficient computational algorithm for the discrete Fourier transform(DFT) by Cooley and Tukey(1965), has brought to the limelight various other discrete transforms. Some of the analog functions from which these transforms have been derived date back to the early 1920's, for example, Walsh functions (Walsh, 1923) and Hadamard Transform(Enomoto et al, 1965). Fast algorithms developed for the forward transform are equally applicable, exept for minor changes, to the inverse transform. In this paper, we present a simple pipelined Hadamard matrix(HM) which is used to develop a fast algorithm for the Hadamard Processor (HP). The Fast Hadamard Transform(FHT) can be derived using matrix partitioning techniques. The HP system is incorporated through a modular design which permits tailoring to meet a wide range of video data link applications. Emphasis has been placed on a low cost, a low power design suitable for airbone system and video codec.

Fast short length running FIR structure in discrete wavelet adaptive algorithm

  • An adaptive system is a well-known method for removing noise from noise-corrupted speech. In this paper, we perform a least mean square (LMS) based on wavelet adaptive algorithm. It establishes the faster convergence rate of as compared to time domain because of eigenvalue distribution width. And this paper provides the basic tool required for the FIR algorithm whose algorithm reduces the arithmetic complexity. We consider a new fast short-length running FIR structure in discrete wavelet adaptive algorithm. We compare FIR algorithm and short-length fast running FIR algorithm (SFIR) to the proposed fast short-length running FIR algorithm(FSFIR) for arithmetic complexities.

  • 본 논문에서는 컴퓨터적으로 생성하는 집적영상 시스템에서 요소영상 배열을 생성하기 위한 새로운 fast 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이 알고리즘은 깊이 정보를 사용해서 요소영상 배열을 생성하며, 경계 영역 개념을 도입하여 경계영역 내에 있는 복셀에 대해서만 연산을 수행하여 알고리즘의 계산 속도를 개선하였다. 제안된 알고리즘과 기존 알고리즘의 계산 시간을 이론적 및 실험적으로 비교한 결과 제안된 알고리즘이 더 효율적임을 증명하였다.

Revenue Maximizing Scheduling for a Fast Electric Vehicle Charging Station with Solar PV and ESS

  • The modern transportation and mobility sector is expected to encounter high penetration of Electric Vehicles (EVs) because EVs contribute to reducing the harmful emissions from fossil fuel-powered vehicles. With the prospective growth of EVs, sufficient and convenient facilities for fast charging are crucial toward satisfying the EVs' quick charging demand during their trip. Therefore, the Fast Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (FECS) will be a similar role to gas stations. In this paper, we study a charging scheduling problem for the FECS with solar photovoltaic (PV) and an Energy Storage System (ESS). We formulate an optimization problem that minimizes the operational costs of FECS. There are two cost and one revenue terms that are buying cost from main grid power, ESS degradation cost, and revenue from the charging fee of the EVs. Simulation results show that the proposed scheduling algorithm reduces the daily operational cost by effectively using solar PV and ESS.
