One hundred thirty-four putative Bacillus isolates were recovered from soybean rhizosphere soils of Nimar region to select effective zinc solubilizers for increased assimilation of zinc (Zn) in soybean seeds. These isolates were screened in vitro for zinc-solubilization ability on Tris-minimal agar medium supplemented separately with 0.1% zinc in the form of zinc oxide, zinc phosphate, and zinc carbonate. Of all, 9 isolates and a reference Bacillus cereus ATCC 13061 were characterized and identified as Bacillus species based on Gram-positive reaction, endospore-forming cells, and the presence of iso-$C_{15:0}$ and anteiso-$C_{15:0}$ as predominant fatty acids. On plate assay, two isolates KHBD-6 and KHBAR-1 showed a greater diameter of solubilization halo and colony diameter on all the three zinc compounds. The isolates KHBD-6, KHBAR-1, BDSD-2-2C, and KHTH-4-1 and the reference strain ATCC 13061 had higher soluble zinc concentration in liquid medium supplemented with zinc phosphate and zinc carbonate compounds as compared with the other isolates and uninoculated control. Evaluation under microcosm conditions showed that inoculation of isolates KHBD-6 (57.34 ${\mu}g/g$), KHBAR-1 (55.67 ${\mu}g/g$), and strain ATCC 13061 (53.10 ${\mu}g/g$) significantly increased the Zn concentration in soybean seeds as compared with the other isolates and uninoculated control (47.14 ${\mu}g/g$). This study suggests the occurrence of zinc-solubilizing Bacillus in soils of Nimar region and isolates KHBD-6 and KHBAR-1 were found to be promising zinc solubilizers for increased assimilation of Zn in soybean seeds.

In general, it is difficult to transmit a VBR video like MPEG efficiently since MPEG fames are construct with various size. To solve this problem, some bandwidth smoothing techniques are proposed which is based on the prefetching video data into the client buffer with low bandwidth allocation. However these techniques do not provide efficient bandwidth smoothing technology and transmission technique for interactive video services like VCR-like functionality. In this paper, we propose and evaluated a new bandwidth allocation mechanism for interactive video services which has VBR traffic characteristics such a MPEG. This technique provides VCR-like functionality which is not supported on previous techniques and also maximizes the bandwidth utilization when interactive video services are provided. Through our experimental, we prove that the proposed technique dramatically decreases a traffic and guarantee the continuous playback simulaneously.

Soil management for orchard depends on the effects of soil microbial activities. The present study evaluated the soil microbial community of 25 orchard (5 sites for sandy loam, 7 sites for silt loam, and 13 sites for loam) in Gyeongnam Province by fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) method. The average values for 25 orchard soil samples were $270nmol\;g^{-1}$ of total FAMEs, $72nmol\;g^{-1}$ of total bacteria, $34nmol\;g^{-1}$ of Gram-negative bacteria, $34nmol\;g^{-1}$ of Gram-positive bacteria, $6nmol\;g^{-1}$ of actinomycetes, $49nmol\;g^{-1}$ of fungi, and $7nmol\;g^{-1}$ of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi. In addition, silt loam soils had significantly low ratio of cy17:0 to $16:1{\omega}7c$ and cy19:0 to $18:1{\omega}7c$ compared with those of loam soils (p < 0.05), indicating that microbial activity increased. The average soil microbial communities in the orchard soils were 26.7% of bacteria, 17.9% of fungi, 12.6% of Gram-negative bacteria, 12.5% of Gram-positive bacteria, 2.5% of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi, and 2.2% of actinomycetes. The soil microbial community of Gram-negative bacteria in silt loam soils was significantly higher than those of sandy loam and loam soils (p < 0.05).
In this study, we examined the chemical properties and microbial community characteristics in 25 controlled horticultural soils (CHS) sampled from Gyeongnam Province by fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) method. The electrical conductivity of watermelon CHS was significantly (p < 0.05) higher than those of red pepper CHS, pumpkin CHS, and strawberry CHS. The amounts of total FAMEs, total bacteria, gram-negative bacteria, gram-positive bacteria, and fungi were significantly (p < 0.05) higher in red pepper CHS than those in strawberry CHS and pumpkin CHS. In addition, higher (p < 0.05) ratios of cy19:0 to $18:1{\omega}7c$ were detected in tomato CHS than those in watermelon CHS, pumpkin CHS, and red pepper CHS. This implied that microbial communities of tomato CHS were stressed more than other species of cultivation soils. Actinomycetes community in red pepper CHS was significantly (p < 0.05) higher than those in tomato CHS, strawberry CHS, and watermelon CHS. Differences in soil microbial community composition were highly associated with cultivated crop species which might result from the management inputs such as fertilizer, herbicide, and irrigation.

This paper proposes a lane departure detection algorithm using a single camera equipped in front of a vehicle. The proposed algorithm generates a partial top-view image for a small ROI (region of interest) designated on the top-view space form the image acquired by the camera, detects lanes on the small partial top-view image, and makes a decision on the lane departure by checking overlap between the pre-assigned virtual vehicle and the detected lanes. The proposed algorithm also includes the removal of lines occurred by road symbols (noises) disturbing the lane departure detection between lanes and the prediction of lost lanes using lane information of previous fames. In lane departure detection test using real road videos, the proposed algorithm makes the right decision of 99.0% in lane keeping conditions and 94.7% in lane departure conditions.
Lipidomic analyses of transient breast milk are far more limited than those of other dairy products. As a preliminary analysis of breast milk lipidomes, analytical methods for polar and nonpolar lipids from transient breast milk were developed, and detailed fatty acid profiles were determined in this study. The newly developed methods include solvent fractionation of phospholipids and acyl glycerol, one-pot derivatization to FAMEs and pyridylcarbinol esters, and instrumental analysis, including GC-FID and GC-MS. The results indicate that breast milk contains 16 major common fatty acids with 8-22 carbons. Additionally, 29 minor fatty acids were identified, including odd-numbered fatty acids and branched analogues with 11-23 carbons. Their detailed concentrations in different fractions were measured using the internal standard method. In addition to ordinary fatty acids, breast milk contains several branched fatty acids, including iso/anteiso acids with 15-18 carbons. Structural studies have been performed on selected minor fatty acids via chemical synthesis.
Ester-linked fatty acid methyl ester (EL-FAME) profiles were used to describe differences in soil microbial communities influenced by conventional farming system (CFS), and organic farming system (OFS) in controlled horticultural land. Soil physicochemical properties and soil microbial communities were determined in the experimental fields. Higher organic matter content in OFS reduced soil bulk density which in turn increased the soil porosity. Generally, soil chemical properties in OFS were higher than those of CFS, but EC value in OFS was significantly lower than that of CFS. With the exception of Fe content, other macronutrient contents and pH in both farming system decreased with the soil depth. Soil microbial biomass of OFS was approximately 1.3 times in topsoil and 1.8 times in subsoil higher than those of CFS. Lower ratios of cy17:0 to $16:1{\omega}7c$ and cy19:0 to $18:1{\omega}7c$ were found in the CFS soils than the OFS soils, indicating that microbial stress decreased. The ratio of MUFA to SFA was higher in OFS due to organic input to the soil. In principal components analysis (PCA), the first variable accounted for 54.3%, while the second for 27.3%, respectively. The PC1 of the PCA separated the samples from CFS and OFS, while the PC2 of the PCA separated the samples from topsoil and subsoil. EL-FAMEs with the positive eigenvector coefficients for PC1 were cy17: 0 to $16:1{\omega}7c$ ratio, cy19:0 to $18:1{\omega}7c$ ratio, soil pH, soil organic matter, and soil $NO_3$-N content. Our findings suggest that the shifting cy19:0 to $18:1{\omega}7c$ ratio should be considered as potential factors responsible for the clear microbial community differentiation observed between different cultivation systems and soil depth in controlled horticultural land.

According tothe development of digital media technologies various algorithms for video sequence matching have been proposed to match the video sequences efficiently. A large number of video sequence matching methods have focused on frame-wise query, whereas a relatively few algorithms have been presented for video sequence matching or video shot matching. In this paper, we propose an efficientalgorithm to index the video sequences and to retrieve the sequences for video sequence query. To improve the accuracy and performance of video sequence matching, we employ the Cauchy function as a similarity measure between histograms of consecutive frames, which yields a high performance compared with conventional measures. The key frames extracted from segmented video shots can be used not only for video shot clustering but also for video sequence matching or browsing, where the key frame is defined by the frame that is significantly different from the previous fames. Several key frame extraction algorithms have been proposed, in which similar methods used for shot boundary detection were employed with proper similarity measures. In this paper, we propose the efficient algorithm to extract key frames using the cumulative Cauchy function measure and. compare its performance with that of conventional algorithms. Video sequence matching can be performed by evaluating the similarity between data sets of key frames. To improve the matching efficiency with the set of extracted key frames we employ the Cauchy function and the modified Hausdorff distance. Experimental results with several color video sequences show that the proposed method yields the high matching performance and accuracy with a low computational load compared with conventional algorithms.

In this paper, a improved moving object detection algorithm for stable performance of surveillance system in case of iterative moving in limited area and rapidly illuminance change in background scene is proposed. The proposed algorithm is that background scenes are sampled for initializing background image then the sampled fames are divided by block and sum of graylevel value for each block pixel was calculated, respectively. The initialization of background image is that background frame is respectively reconstructed with selecting only the maximum graylevel value and the minimum graylevel value of blocks located at same position between adjacent frames, then reference images of background are set by the reconstructed background images. Moving object detecting is that the current image frame is divided by block then sum of graylevel value for each block pixel is calculated. If the calculated value is out of graylevel range of the initialized two reference images, it is decided with moving objects block, otherwise it is decided background. The evaluated results is that the error rate of the proposed method is less than the error rate of the existing methods from $0.01{\%}$ to $20.33{\%}$ and the detection rate of the proposed method is better than the existing methods from $0.17{\%}\;to\;22.83{\%}$.
Soil management for orchard depends on the effects of soil microbial activities. The present study evaluated the soil microbial community of 25 orchard in Gyeongnam Province by fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) method. The average concentrations in the orchard soils were $332nmol\;g^{-1}$ of total FAMEs, $94nmol\;g^{-1}$ of bacteria, $46nmol\;g^{-1}$ of Gram-negative bacteria, $42nmol\;g^{-1}$ of Gram-positive bacteria, $4.8nmol\;g^{-1}$ of actinomycetes, $54nmol\;g^{-1}$ of fungi, and $9.1nmol\;g^{-1}$ of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi. In addition, sandy loam soils had significantly low ratio of cy19:0 to 18:$1{\omega}7c$ compared with that of loam soils (p<0.05), indicating that microbial stress decreased. The average soil microbial communities in the orchard soils were 28.1% of bacteria, 15.9% of fungi, 13.6% of Gram-negative bacteria, 12.5% of Gram-positive bacteria, 2.8% of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi, and 1.4% of actinomycetes. The soil microbial community of Gram-negative bacteria in peach cultivating soils was significantly higher than that of pear cultivating soils (p<0.05).
