The application of diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) and fiber tractography to Wallerian degeneration (WD) is important because this technique is a very potent tools for quantitatively evaluating fiber tracts in vivo brain. We analyzed a case and control using tracts of interest (TOI) analysis to quantify WD. We scanned a case of old infarction and an age-matched healthy volunteer. T1 magnetization prepared rapid acquisition gradient echo (MPRAGE), fluid attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR) and 12-direction diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) were obtained and analyzed using TOI analysis. The value of mean diffusity ($D_{av}$) and fracional anisotrophy (FA) were analyzed statistically by MWU test. A p-value of less than 0.05 was considered to indicate statistical significance. A comparison of the global fiber diffusion characteristics shows WD of both the corpus callosum and the ipsilateral superior longitudinal fasciculus. The corpus callosum in particular showed trans-hemispherical degeneration. Local fiber characteristics along the geodesic paths show WD in the corpus callosum, ipsilateral superior longitudinal fasciculus, ipsilateral corticospinal tract, and ipsilateral corticothalamic tract. We have demonstrated changes in $D_{av}$ and FA values and a clear correspondence with the WD in various tracts. TOI analysis successfully revealed radial WD in white matter tracts from a region of encephalomalacia and primary gliosis, although they were only slightly affected.

In this paper, a predistortion linearizer using the in-phase modulator is proposed. The harmonic generator of the proposed predistorter extracts a second harmonic signals. These signals are divided in-phase and quadrature-phase signals, and then amplifying each signals using variable gain amplifier. An in-phase modulator, modulate fundamental signal with second harmonic signals, generates the predistortion intermodulation distortion (IM) signals and controls amplitude and phase of them with modulation factors. As a result, this predistorter is suppressed intermodulation distortion signals of power amplifier effectively. The proposed linearizer has been implemented to operate in Cellular-band. The test results show that the third order IM is cancelled more than 20dB in case of CW 2-tone signals with ${\Delta}f$=1MHz. Also, it's improved the adjacent channel power ratio (ACPR) more than 7dB for IS-95 CDMA 1FA signals.

In this paper, a new predistortion linearizer using second harmonic components feedforwarding is proposed. The harmonic generator of the proposed predistorter that consists of a small signal amplifier extracts second harmonic signals. A vector modulator that modulate fundamental signal with second harmonic signals, generates the inverse third order intermodulation distortion signals and controls amplitude/phase of them with modulation factors. As a result, this linearizer is suppressed IMD3 signals of power amplifier effectively. The test results show that the third order IMD of power amplifier is suppressed more than 20 dB for CW two-tone signals. Also, it's improved the adjacent channel power ratio(ACPR) more than 5 dB for CDMA(IS-95) 4FA signals.

This paper deals with the improvement of pressurized quality for high maneuver aircraft. Anti-G Valve is a pressure regulating valve for inflating anti-G suits and providing a sense line signal for a g-compensated oxygen regulator. The new anti-g valve system is satisfied with military specification MIL-V-87255 and allowed the pilots to tolerate high-G exposures without any vibrations. The flight test was performed by two T/FA-50 pilots and other tests used the centrifuge made by anti-g developer. A comparison of the new anti-g valve with period one, it have better response and low chattering phenomenon.

This study investigated fundamental properties of lightweight foamed concrete using cement kiln dust (CKD) and both fly ash(FA) and stability agent. Test results showed that concrete incorporating more amounts of admixture decreased slump flow and it caused increase of superplasiticizer in order to secure the fluidity performance. In addition concrete adding stability agent showed stable flow state, resisting segregation of materials and decreasing bleeding capacity. Sinking depth of concrete incorporating 20% of CKD and adding 0.002% of stability agent was indicated at 0mm. For the properties of hardened concrete. compressive strength of concrete incorporating CKD declined due to a lower appearance density, compared with other specimens. The difference of that was not very significant and the value of ail specimen was higher than KS range. Moreover strength of concrete incorporating CKD was even higher at curing temperature $5^{\circ}C$. Tensile strength ratio of concrete incorporating CKD was indicated between 0.50 to 0.59, which is higher value than control concrete. Heat conductivity of concrete incorporating FA was under the KS range while concrete incorporating 20% of CKD was satisfied in KS. Concrete adding stability agent improved insulation performance due to the lower heat conductivity. In conclusion, it is possible that concrete incorporating 20% of CKD and adding 0.002% of stability agent can secure high quality of lightweight foamed concrete.

FRBR family models, which is published from 1998 to 2010, will be restructured in 2016 and the new name of the model is "FRBR Library Reference Model (LRM)." FRBR LRM is a consolidated model based on the legacy FRBR family of conceptual models - FRBR, FRAD, FRSAD and the two ontological models - FRBRCore and FaBio, as well as FRBRoo, the cooperated model with museum field. In this study, therefore, FRBR LRM is analyzed in respect to background information, characteristics of the model, such as user tasks, entities, attributes, and relationships. Experimental adaptation to $prot{\acute{e}}g{\acute{e}}$ for the LRM's entities and relationships is also conducted. Through this test, the differences between the original models and the consolidated model was reviewed and the applicability of the FRBR LRM model to the semantic web is also discussed. From now on, we have to select and modify among the various FRBR related models to meet our information needs. It will be difficult to find only one Implementation Methodology for every information needs.
The Disturbed State Concept (DSC) model, with simplified unloading/reloading formulation, is implemented in a nonlinear dynamic finite element program fur porous media named DSC_DYN2D. In this research, the DSC constitutive model is utilized using the HiSS model for relative intact (RI) part and the critical state model for the fully adjusted (FA) part in the material. The general formulation for implementation is developed. The cyclic loading tests from the field load test data on a pile segment were numerically simulated using the finite element program DSC_DYN2D and compared with field measurements and those from the previous analysis with the HiSS model. The DSC predictions show improved agreement with the field behavior of the pile compared to those from the HiSS model. Overall, the computer procedure with the DSC model allows improved and realistic simulation of the complex dynamic soil-structure interaction problems.

The performance characteristics of a scroll expander is the most important variable for the performance of organic Rankine cycle system. In this paper, the performance characteristics of a scroll expander was identified using 1kW class organic Rankine cycle system with various operating conditions. The ORC system is composed of an evaporator, a scroll expander, a condenser and a working fluid feed pump that uses R245fa as working fluid. The hot water temperature was controlled from $80^{\circ}C$ to $115^{\circ}C$ by the 50kW-class electric water-heater. The maximum isentropic efficiency of the scroll expander was measured about 77%, and the shaft power was measured from 0.5 kW to 1.8 kW according to heat source temperatures.

Concrete is a very useful construction material for the sealing disposal of hazardous substances. In general, mass concrete is applied to these structures. And, the mineral admixtures are recommended for the long term performance. Calcium leaching could be happened due to the contact with pure water in underground structures. Thus, it is needed to evaluate the resistance of calcium leaching for concrete mixed with mineral admixtures. From the test results, the mineral admixtures are effective to the improvement of long term compressive strength and chloride diffusion coefficient in concrete members. When calcium leaching is happened, however, the reduction of compressive strength and chloride penetration resistance is severe than OPC case, the micro pore distribution is adversely affected. Consequently, when the mineral admixtures are applied to underground structures which is exposed to calcium leaching environment, it is desirable to reduce water-to-binder ratio, to expose after the sufficient pozolanic reaction, and to use BFS than FA.

Obesity is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease. In our case study using animal models for disease states such as obesity or hypertension, we found that, Isaria sinclairii remarkably reduced body weight and ameliorated metabolic abnormalities in Zucker and SHR rats. Genetically obese (fa/fa) Zucker rats were one animal model chosen for this study. Four groups of rats received a standard diet and were treated orally with the following test samples daily for 8 weeks: saline (negative control), ethanol extracts of I. sinclairii, hot water extract of I. sinclairii, or $Xenical^{(R)}$ (30 mg/kg, positive control). Mild reductions (6.3%) in body weight gain were observed in the groups treated with the hot water extract of I. sinclairii compared to the control after 8 weeks. Interestingly, organ weight was greatly reduced by this Dongchunghacho (I. sinclairii), in parallel with the mild reductions in body weight gain and reductions in abdominal fat (adipose tissue). Also observed was a 4.1 % decrease in the ratio of heart weight/body weight compared to the control group. As a hypertensive animal model, SHR (spontaneously hypertensive rat) and WKY (Wistar Kyoto) rats were also administered these extracts for one month. Treatment with the hot water extract of I. sinclairii caused greater reductions in body weight gain for the SHR group (10.9%) compared to the WKY group's (5.2%). Based on these results, I. sinclairii extracts contain selective action for anti-obesity activity, naturally occurring candidate for regulation of body weight increase, as demonstrated in the present study.
