In this study, new LTCC materials of $ZnWO_4$-LiF system were developed for the application to RF Module fabrication. Pure $ZnWO_4$ must be sintered above $1050^{\circ}C$ in order to obtain up to 98% of full density. The measured dielectric constant ($\epsilon_r$)quality factor ($Q{\times}f0$), and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency ($\tau_f$ were 15.5, 74000 GHz, and $-70ppm^{\circ}C$, respectively. LiF addition resulted in a liquid phase formation at 81$0^{\circ}C$ due to interaction between ZnWO$_4$ and LiF. Therefore, ZnWO$_4$ with 0.5∼1.5 wt% LiF could be densified at $850^{\circ}C$. In the given LiF addition range, the sintering shrinkage increased with increasing LiF content. Addition of LiF slightly lowered the dielectric constant from 15.5 to 14.2∼15 due to lower dielectric constant of LiF. Qxfo value decreased with increasing LiF content. This can be explained in terms of the interaction between LiF and $ZnWO_4$, and inhomogeneity of grain structure.
The various contents of MgF2 from 0 to 12.5wt% are studied in the AlF3-(Mg+Sr+Ba)F2-P2O5 system for the effects of various properties in glasses and the atmosphere of melting was controlled by N2 and Ar gas respectively. Density, refractive index, infrared transmission, thermal conductivity and thermal expansion coefficient of glasses are determined. Density, refractive index and thermal conductivity are decreased, micro-hardness and thermal expansion coefficient are increased according to the increasing of MgF2 contents. Infrared transmittance decreases with increasing the MgF2 contents and it slightly dropped by air than N2 and Ar atmosphere. Other properties are not influenced by atmosphere control.
The appropriate dripper position in perlite bag was investigated for tomato production. Drippers were laid at 5(F5), 15cm (F15) away from the stem base or 5cm at first and then moved to 15cm later (M5-15). Roots were developed more near the stem base in F5, while less in F15. Roots were distributed evenly in M5-15. In vertical distribution of water in perlite bag, water content was higher as it went deeper with the variation by dripper positions. Yield was high in F15 and low in F5. In conclusion the position of dripper is the best at 15cm from the stem base in perlite bag culture in view of root distribution and yield.
For the purpose of developing a microbial insecticide utilizing Bacillus thuringiensis Berliner, research was done and the following results were obtained. 1) As the freeze-dried matter of the cocoon-cooked water discarded from the filature contains much crude protein(51.825%) and a lot of inorganic salts, it can make a good nutrition source for the culture cf B. thuringiensis Berliner. 2) Based on the suspensibility, formula F-5 turned out to be the most suitable for insecticidal use. Its composition includes 0.2 g of the cell-spore-crystal mixture, 25 g of 200-mesh kaolin, 2.5 g of New Kalgen-NX-150, and 2.5 g of glycerine admixed with 8 ml of distilled water and granulated in 80-mesh size. 3) All the components of F-5, F-6 and F-7 are identical except that the amounts of cell-spore-crystal mixture of F-5, F-6, and F-7 are 0.2 g, 0.4 g, and 0.6 g, respectively. Accordingly, their physical properties are almost all the same. 4) Formulas F-5, F-6, and F-7 exhibited an excellent toxicity to Anomis mesogona Walker, Dendrolimus spectabilis Butler, and Margaronia perspectalis Walker at the concentration of 5%. 5) Formulas F-8 and F-9 which contain $NaHCO_3$ as one of their components showed a remarkably reduced toxicity to Anomis mesogona Walker and Dendrolimus spectabilis Butler than F-6 which does not contain $NaHCO_3$. 6) A maximum of $2.97{\times}10^9$ spores per ml was obtained by incubating B. thuringiensis in M-3 which has a pH of 7.05 and comprises 0.2% of ammonium sulphate and 0.8% of glucose dissolved in the cocoon-cooked water, with aeration for 96 hours. 7) Formula F-6 exhibited a somewhat reduced toxicity to Anomis mesogona Walker and Dendrolimus spectabilis Butler, when stored at room temperature for 70 days after formulation and it is desirable to keep it in a dark and cold place. 8) In held applications, formula F-6 showed a good activity in controlling Monema flavescens Walker. Margaronia perspectalis Walker, and Macrosiphum ibarae Matsumura.
Partial dominance was exhibited by flowering(heading), panicle length, panicle numbers, $F_1$ag leaf length, 1000 kernel weight in $F_1$ and $F_2$ hybrids by 7 \times 7 and 5 \times 5 diallel crosses. Over dominance was exhibited by culm length, flag leaf width, appearance degree of panicle in $F_1$ generation of the crosses, and also over dominance was exhibited by kernel weight in $F_2$ generation of the crosses.
This study was performed to evaluate the quality characteristics of sausages after addition of lentil and Opuntia ficus-indica ethanol extract. Seven sausages were prepared as follows : F0 (control), F1 (5% lentils), F2 (5% lentils + 1% Opuntia ficus-indica), F3 (5% lentils + 3% Opuntia ficus-indica), F4(10% lentils), F5 (10% lentils + 1% Opuntia ficus-indica), and F6 (10% lentils + 3% Opuntia ficus-indica). Addition of lentils increase dietary fiber and starch in sausage while lowering fat content. Starch is used in manufacturing sausage to stabilize and increase viscosity. Opuntia ficus-indica contains dietary fibers and therefore addition of it to sausage increases dietary fiber, much like lentil addition. Lightness decreased and yellowness increased in all treatments. Redness was lowered by lentil addition but enhanced by addition of Opuntia ficus-indica. Redness in F3 and F5 were similar with control. But, F5 was more similar with control in all colors. Addition of lentil and Opuntia ficus-indica improved texture in hardness, springiness, gumminess, and chewiness. In sensory evaluation, color was lowered but taste was heightened by adding lentil and Opuntia ficus-indica extract. From results of this study, we could conclude that addition of mixture of lentil and Opuntia ficus-indica made sausage low in fat, with high in dietary fibers and starch. In addition, texture was increased and taste was better. F5 had the most similar color to control. We found out the optimal amounts of the two ingredients, lentil and Opuntia ficus- indica extract, were 10% and 1%, respectively.

PURPOSE. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of thickness reduction and fatigue on the failure load of monolithic zirconia crowns. MATERIALS AND METHODS. 140 CAD-CAM fabricated crowns (3Y-TZP, inCorisTZI, Dentsply-Sirona) with different ceramic thicknesses (2.0, 1.5, 1.0, 0.8, 0.5 mm, respectively, named G2, G1.5, G1, G0.8, and G0.5) were investigated. Dies of a mandibular first molar were made of composite resin. The zirconia crowns were luted with a resin composite cement (RelyX Unicem 2 Automix, 3M ESPE). Half of the specimens (n = 14 per group) were mouth-motion-fatigued (1.2 million cycles, 1.6 Hz, 200 N/ 5 - 55℃, groups named G2-F, G1.5-F, G1-F, G0.8-F, and G0.5-F). Single-load to failure was performed using a universal testing-machine. Fracture modes were analyzed. Data were statistically analyzed using a Weibull 2-parameter distribution (90% CI) to determine the characteristic strength and Weibull modulus differences among the groups. RESULTS. Three crowns (21%) of G0.8 and five crowns (36%) of G0.5 showed cracks after fatigue. Characteristic strength was the highest for G2, followed by G1.5. Intermediate values were observed for G1 and G1-F, followed by significantly lower values for G0.8, G0.8-F, and G0.5, and the lowest for G0.5-F. Weibull modulus was the lowest for G0.8, intermediate for G0.8-F and G0.5, and significantly higher for the remaining groups. Fatigue only affected G0.5-F. CONCLUSION. Reduced crown thickness lead to reduced characteristic strength, even under failure loads that exceed physiological chewing forces. Fatigue significantly reduced the failure load of 0.5 mm monolithic 3Y-TZP crowns.
Structure-activity relationship studies of allylamine type of antimycotics were carried out to evaluate the effect of naphthyl and methyl portion of naftifine. Compounds with 4-fluorophenyl(2a-5a), 2-fluorophenyl(2b-5b), 2,4-dichlorophenyl(2c-5c), 2,6-dichlorophenyl(2d-5d), 4-nitrophenyl(2e-5e), and 2,3-dihydro-benzo[1,4]dioxan-6-yl( 2f-5f) instead of naphthyl group with hydrogen(3a-3f), methyl(4a-4f), and ethyl(5a-5f) in the place of methyl in naftifine were synthesized and tested their in vitro anti-fungal activity against five different fungi. Eight compounds(3a, 5a, 3c, 4c, 4d, 5d, 5e, and 4f) showed significant antifungal activity against T. mentagrophytes. (E)-N-Ethyl-(3-phenyl-2-propenyl)-4-nitro-benzenemethaneamine(5e) displayed moderate antifungal activity against all five different fungi.

Glass forming ranges in the AlF3-(Mg+Sr+Ba)F2-P2O5 system are studied and ultraviolet transmission, infrared transmission, coefficient of refractive index, thermal expansion coefficient, density and chemical durability of the glasses are determined. Glass forming range is restricted MgF2 0-10wt%, SrF2 10-50wt%, BaF2 10-40wt% in this system. While BaF2 is substituted by SrF2, density and refractive index are decreased, micro hardness and thermal expansion coefficient are increased according to the increasing of SrF2 at fixed MgF2 contents. These samples represent high transmittance(93%) from 400nm to 3800nm and chemical durability of these samples show less than 0.3mg/$\textrm{cm}^2$$.$hy by weightloss.
