시선 고정 유도방법이 시야 검사에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Gaze Fixation Induction Method on Visual Field Testing)

  • A visual field tester using a fixation target with a lack of distinctiveness decreases accuracy and usability in visual field testing. The present study is intended to develop various induction methods of gaze fixation for effective visual field testing. Proposed were four new gaze fixation induction methods (color changing dot; alphanumeric characters; flashing black dot; and bulls eye and cross hair, BECH) by considering visual attention factors such as color, meaning, flashing, and shape and the proposed methods were compared with the existing black dot (BD) method in terms of gaze fixation performance and subjective satisfaction by 32 participants in their 20s to 30s. BECH was found most preferred by increasing gaze fixation performance by 4.8% and subjective satisfaction by 0.4 to 2.0 in a 7-point scale compared to BD. BECH can be applied to tests such as visual field testing and macular pigment optical density testing in which gaze fixation is crucial for accuracy and usability.

  • 투시형 두부 장착형 디스플레이(HMD) 방식의 3차원 디스플레이는 스테레오스코픽 디스플레이에 의한 가상의 3차원 데이터와 실제 장면을 동시에 볼 수 있는 장점(MR-Mixed Reality)이 있다. 그러나 장시간 사용 시 눈의 피로현상이 발생한다. 또한 가상 데이터의 고정된 초점으로 인한 비초점화 현상이 발생한다. 이것의 중요한 요인 중 하나가 눈의 초점조절 능력 불만족이다. 이것의 해결방법으로 투시형 HMD에 초점조절 가능 3차원 디스플레이(다초점 3차원 디스플레이) 기술의 적용을 제안하였다. 결과적으로, 단안에서 현실세계의 물체에 대한 초점조절과 다초점에 의한 가상데이터의 초점조절이 일치함을 확인하였다.

어안 워핑 이미지 기반의 Ego motion을 이용한 위치 인식 알고리즘 (Localization using Ego Motion based on Fisheye Warping Image)

  • This paper proposes a novel localization algorithm based on ego-motion which used Lucas-Kanade Optical Flow and warping image obtained through fish-eye lenses mounted on the robots. The omnidirectional image sensor is a desirable sensor for real-time view-based recognition of a robot because the all information around the robot can be obtained simultaneously. The preprocessing (distortion correction, image merge, etc.) of the omnidirectional image which obtained by camera using reflect in mirror or by connection of multiple camera images is essential because it is difficult to obtain information from the original image. The core of the proposed algorithm may be summarized as follows: First, we capture instantaneous $360^{\circ}$ panoramic images around a robot through fish-eye lenses which are mounted in the bottom direction. Second, we extract motion vectors using Lucas-Kanade Optical Flow in preprocessed image. Third, we estimate the robot position and angle using ego-motion method which used direction of vector and vanishing point obtained by RANSAC. We confirmed the reliability of localization algorithm using ego-motion based on fisheye warping image through comparison between results (position and angle) of the experiment obtained using the proposed algorithm and results of the experiment measured from Global Vision Localization System.

색채 메이크업에 의한 얼굴이미지 연구 (A Study on the Face Image to Color of Make-up)

  • The purpose of this research is to study face images according to color of make-up was made by computer graphic simulation. The various facial images can be helpful for choosing suitable make-up color planning. In order to find out the differences of face images by make-up color, three different foundations and seven eye-shadows, six lips were applied on the round face model. Make-up Image Scale was used the scale of seven point modified the S-D method. Data were analyzed by Varimax perpendicular rotation method, Duncan's Multiple Range Test, Three-way ANOVA. As the result of make-up image perception analysis, a factor structure was divided into mildness, modernness, elegance, unique. The factor of mildness, modernness, unique affected on the foundation color. Foundation color was found out to be influential variable to distinguish color perception abilities. Also, the foundation, eye-shadow, lip color were influenced interactively on the perception of elegance factor. Pink color was important color, influenced on the mildness factor. Gray and purple color were influenced on the modernness factor. Mildness factor was perceived as the most bright foundation but unique factor was perceived as the most dark foundation. Then, the foundation, eye-shadow, lip color were influenced interactively on the perception of facial images. The results can be effectively applied to today's marketing and color design management which is focused on the product's emotional image in customer's mind.

망막 카메라용 광학계 설계 (A Study of Optical System Design for a Retinal Camera)

  • 망막검사를 위한 검안경용 망막 카메라를 개발하기 위한 광학계 설계를 연구하였다. 이에 앞서 사람의 눈에 대한 광학계 제원은 김상기와 박성찬이 발표한 정밀모형안을 채택하였다. 이를 토대로 하여 광학계를 4개의 렌즈 군으로 구성하였고 제 1군으로 모든 시야각에 대한 광을 중심으로 모았다가 제2, 제3, 제4군에 의해 결상하도록 하였다. 결상된 망막의 상은 CCD 광검출기에 의해 모니터로 전시한다. 제 1군을 단일 렌즈로 하고 나머지 광학계를 triplet로 하여 최적화를 통해 설계하였다. 광선수차, spot diagram, 회절을 고려한 point spread function 및 MTF를 계산하여 분석한 결과, 좋은 성능을 가진 광학계 설계가 가능하였다. 본 연구 결과에서 얻은 광학계로서 양질의 망막 카메라를 개발할 순 있을 것으로 믿는다.

SVM을 이용한 얼굴 검출 성능 향상 방법 (Performance Improvement Method of Face Detection Using SVM)

  • 실시간 자동 얼굴 인식 기술에 있어서 정확한 얼굴의 검출은 필수적이며, 얼굴 인식의 성능에 큰 영향을 미치는 매우 중요한 부분이다. 본 논문에서는 컬러 정보, 에지 정보 및 이진화 정보를 복합적으로 이용하여 입력 영상으로부터 두 눈의 영역을 검출하고 이를 이용해 얼굴 후보 영역을 검출한다. 검출된 눈 후보 영역과 얼굴 후보 영역에 대하여 얼굴 검증과 눈 검증용으로 학습된 각각의 SVM을 이용하여 검증한다. 이러한 검증 과정을 거침으로써 잘못된 검출을 막아 빠르고 신뢰성 있는 얼굴 검출이 가능하다. 실험을 통해 본 연구에서 제안한 방법이 99% 이상의 얼굴 검출 성공율을 보임을 확인하였다.

Moth-eye 패턴이 형성된 고 투과성 전도성 폴리머 필름 제작

  • 현재 상용 중인 터치패널의 전도성 필름으로는 ITO가 주로 사용된다. 하지만, 디스플레이 기기의 수요 증가와 Indium의 고갈로 인한 ITO의 수요 공급 불균형으로 인한 원가 문제가 대두되고 있다. 이 때문에, Carbon nanotube (CNT), Graphene 등의 대체 투명 전도성 물질들이 연구 중에 있지만 투과율 및 저항 문제 등이 문제가 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 투명 전도성 필름의 광 투과도 향상을 위하여, 자외선 경화 레진을 이용하여, 전도성 필름 상에 모스 아이 레진 패턴을 형성하는 실험을 진행하였다. 패턴이 형성된 이후에는 Scanning Electro Microscope를 통하여 패턴의 형성 유무를 관찰하였고, UV-vis와 4-point probe를 이용하여 투과도 및 저항을 측정하였다. 실험 결과 모스아이패턴을 필름에 패터닝 함으로써, 전체적으로 투과도가 증가된다는 것을 확인 할 수 있었으며, 투과도의 증가폭은 단면 패터닝보다는 양면 패터닝을 한 경우가 높았다. 그리고 저항 변화에 있어서는 패턴이 있는 부분의 경우 표면 잔여층으로 인하여 급격하게 증가하였지만, 전도면 반대편에 패터닝을 진행한 경우 거의 변화하지 않았다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 결과적으로, 본 연구를 통해 나노 임프린트 리소그래피를 통해 전도성 폴리머 필름 상부에 모스아이나노 구조물을 제작하였고, 이를 통해 기존의 전도성 폴리머 필름의 낮은 투과율을 향상시킬 수 있었다.

뇌졸중 환자에서 스파이랄 테이핑이 자세 안정성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Spiral Balance Taping on Postural Balance Ability in Stroke Patient)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the influence that it has on the application pre and post balance index using method with spiral and reaction point balance taping application against 20 stroke patients. The taping application pre and post static eye opening balance index was statistically no significant difference in the Mean X Speed, and the Extent in X Dirction but in the Mean Y Speed, the Velocity Moment, and Extent in Y Direction, there were statistically significant difference(p<0.05). The taping application pre and post static eye closing balance inde was statistically no significant difference in the Mean X Speed, in Y Direction, there were statistically significant difference(p<0.05). From above results, the method of the applied taping was the equilibrium stability performance of the Y-axis than the stability of the balance of the X-axis, therefore it is considered to study the taping application method in the balance of detail stroke patients.

Economical image stitching algorithm for portable panoramic image assistance in automotive application

  • In this study an economical image stitching algorithm for use in automotive industry is developed for retrofittable panoramic image assistance applications. The aim of this project is to develop a driving assistance system known as Panoramic Parking Assistance (PPA) which is cheap, retrofittable and compatible for every type of automobiles. PPA generates bird's eye view image using cameras installed on the automobiles. Image stitching requires to get bird's eye view position of the vehicle. Panoramic images are wide area images that cannot be available by taking one shot, attained by stitching the overlapping areas. To achieve correct stitching many algorithms are used. This study includes some type of these algorithms and presents a simple one that is economical and practical. Firstly, the mathematical model of a wide view of angle camera is provided. Then distorted image correction is performed. Stitching is implemented by using the SIFT and SURF algorithms. It has been seen that using such algorithms requires complex image processing knowledge and implementation of high quality digital processors, which would be impracticle and costly for automobile use. Thus a simpler algorithm has been developed to decrase the complexity. The proposed algorithm uses one matching point for every couple of images and has ease of use and does not need high power processors. To show the efficiency, images coming from four distinct cameras are stitched by using the algorithm developed for the study and usability for automotive application is analyzed.

웹 상의 온라인 비교 쇼핑을 위한 상품 정보 자동 색인 및 검색 시스템의 설계 및 구현에 대한 연구 (A Study on Design and Implementation of Automatic Product Information Indexing and Retrieval System for Online Comparison Shopping on the Web)

  • In this paper, we describe the approaches of shopping agents and directory services for online comparison shopping on the web, and propose an information indexing and retrieval system, named InfoEye, with a new method for automatic extraction of product information. The developed method is based on the knowledge about presentation of the product information on the Web. The method from the knowledge about presentation of the product information is derived from both the point that online stores display their products to customers in easy-to-browse ways and heuristics made of analyses of product information look-and-feel of domestic online stores. In indexing process, the method is applied to product information extraction from Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) documents collected by a mirroring robot from online stores. We have made InfoEye to a readily usable stage and transferred the technology to Webnara commercial shopping engine. The proposed system is a cutting-edge solution to help customers as a shopping expert by providing information about the reasonable price of a product from dozens of online stores, saving customers shopping time, giving information about new products, and comparing quality factors of products in a same category.
