This study intends to provide quantitative data about the extraction characteristics of major elements of earthenware by executing soaking test of cleaning agents. It aims at providing basic data for the stability assessment when applying the cleaning agents for conserving earthenware. The data will be extracted from the analysis of co-relationship between the physical characteristics and the ion extraction characteristics. XRD analysis displayed that AT-1, AT-2 and AT-3 which did not generate mullite were fired at lower than 1,000 whereas AT-3 and AT-5 that included mullite were higher than 1,000. The degree of absorption was AT-4 > AT-2 > AT-1 > AT-3 > AT-5 in order and the correlation between the degree of absorption and firing temperature of earthenware displayed a positive correlation. Extraction amount of oxalic acid which was used for the removing iron oxide was AT-1 > AT-2 AT-4 > AT-3 > AT-5 in order. and the ion extraction data displayed that there is a positive correlation with absorption level. However AT-1 and AT-2 which were fired at lower temperature showed that there was no correlation between the ion extraction characteristics and absorption level. Ion extraction of citric acid produced little amount compared with the one of oxalic acid, yet it caused less damage to earthenware than oxalic acid when it applied. The result of ion extraction level in the absorption test displayed that Fe had higher level than in Si, Al from the test for both oxalic acid and citric acid. Based on the regression analysis of the data from the previous studies, the physical characteristics of the earthenware and ion extraction level, further studies will be conducted on the predicting technique on the extraction characteristics of major elements of earthenware samples for the conservation in future.
In this study, the extraction characteristics of soluble solid from Rumex crispus(Curled dock) was studied from the investigation of the effects of experimental conditions on extraction rate; extraction ratio, composition of extractants, extraction time and pH of extractant, etc. The proximate composition of Rumex crispus was 2.58% crude lipid, 5.59% crude protein, 7.39% crude ash, 6.13% moisture and 78.31% carbohydrate, respectively. Turbidity of extract by distilled water was higher and increased with extraction time and extraction temperature, where as the turbidity didn't increase by ethanol and methanol in 20 folds of extraction ratio. Turbidity was inversely proportional to the extraction ratio for the three extractants at 25$^{\circ}C$ and 1 hour extraction. But turbidity of extract was highest by composition of 50% methanol-water extractant than any other compositions of extractants. Eighteen and fifteen free aminoacids were detected in extracts with distilled water, methanol and ethanol extractant, respectively, and it's contents were order of glutamic acid>proline>aminobutyric acid>alanine. The extraction rate of soluble solid from Rumex crispus was order of distilled water>methanol>ethanol within experimental extraction ratio. In extraction with distilled water, the contents of soluble solid was inversely proportional to the pH of extractant.
Previous research on data extraction and integration for data warehousing has concentrated mainly on the relational DBMS or partly on the object-oriented DBMS. Mostly, it describes issues related with the change data (deltas) capture and the incremental update by using the triggering technique of active database systems. But, little attention has been paid to data extraction approaches from other types of source systems like hierarchical DBMS, etc. and from source systems without triggering capability. This paper argues, from the practical point of view, that we need to consider not only the types of information sources and capabilities of ETT tools but also other factors of source systems such as operational characteristics (i.e., whether they support DBMS log, user log or no log, timestamp), and DBMS characteristics (i.e., whether they have the triggering capability or not, etc), in order to find out appropriate data extraction techniques that could be applied to different source systems. Having applied several different data extraction techniques (e.g., DBMS log, user log, triggering, timestamp-based extraction, file comparison) to S bank's source systems (e.g., IMS, DB2, ORACLE, and SAM file), we discovered that data extraction techniques available in a commercial ETT tool do not completely support data extraction from the DBMS log of IMS system. For such IMS systems, a new date extraction technique is proposed which first creates Index database and then updates the data warehouse using the Index database. We illustrates this technique using an example application.
This study was to investigate the extraction characteristics of extraction resins containing HEH/EHP for Gadolinium solution. The experiments were carried out with the variation of equilibrium pH and initial concentration of Gd. The optimum extraction time was 90 mins on Gd extraction using resin. The extraction ratio(%) was increased by increasing equilibrium pH from pH 1.0 to 2.0. The experimentally measured amounts of Gd on resins at equilibrium agreed well with those predicted using Freundlich's isotherm.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the pretreatment and posttreatment dentofacial characteristics of non-extraction patients with Class I malocclusion. And to compare this result with matched non-orthodontic normal occlusion and Class I premolar extraction patients. Such comparison might help identify morphologic characteristics of the non-extraction patients. Initial and final cephalometric evaluation were compared in a sample of 22 patients with Class I malocclusions treated in non-extraction manner with edgewise appliance and MEAW The mean age of the total population was 14 years 9 months and the average treatment time was 2 years 8 months. 32 landmarks were located and digitized on each cephalogram. From these landmarks, 24 linear and angular dimension were obtained. Student's t-test were used to compare the pretreatment - posttreatment results, Nonextraction - Normal groups, and nonextraction Extraction groups. Significance was predetermined at $p{\leq}0.05$. The results were as follows. 1. Before treatment, the mean value of the $ODI\;was\;69.9^{\circ},\;APDI\;was\;82.1^{\circ},\;CF\;was\;152^{\circ},\;EI\;was\;152^{\circ}$ in the non-extraction groups. 2. The skeletal pattern of the non-extraction groups were similar with non-orthodontic normal groupsr, but the non-extraction groups had larger interincisal angle. 3. Comparison between groups treated with and without extraction indicated at pretreatment, the extraction groups had more protrusive lips, smaller interincisal angle, and EI. 4. After treatment, there was no significant changes in the skeletal pattern of the non-extraction groups, but uprighting of the maxillary and mandibular first molar and decrease of the interincisal angle were seen.
In order to examine antioxidative characteristics of Artemisia capillaris response surface methodology was used to optimize the hot water extraction process by analyzing and monitoring the extraction condition. For total phenolic compounds content, the optimal extraction temperature, time and amount of solvent per sample were $94.50^{\circ}C$, 2.06 hr and 25.03 ml/g, respectively. Also, the optimal conditions for electronic donating ability were $91.82^{\circ}C$, 2.90 hr and 20.88 ml/g, respectively. The nitrile scavenging ability (pH 1.2) was optimized using the extraction temperature of $97.36^{\circ}C$, extraction time 2.75 hr and 15.19 ml/g as the amount of solvent per sample. Regression equations of total phenolic compounds content, electron donating ability and nitrile scavenging ability as dependent variable were deduced from each analyzed extraction condition. And finally, their response surfaces were superimposed with the optimal conditions to obtain values for each extraction process factor. The predicted results through superimposing were extraction temperature $90{\sim}95^{\circ}C$, extraction time 2.5~3.5 hr and amount of solvent per sample 17~24 ml/g.

Heat flow characteristics during hot water extraction process was studied experimentally. Data were taken at various outlet port type for the fixed inlet port type, inlet-outlet temperature differences and mass flow rates. In this study, the temperature distribution in a storage tank and an outlet temperature were measured to predict a flow pattern in the storage tank, and a hot water extraction efficiency was analysed with respect to the variables dominating a extraction process. Experimental results show that the extraction efficiency is high in a low flow rate in case of using modified distributor I(MDI) as a outlet port type.
Pb-contaminated soil at a clay shooting range was analyzed by the sequential extraction method to identify metal binding properties in terms of detrital and non-detrital forms of the soil. Most of the metals in the soils existed as non-detrital forms, exchangeable and carbonate-bound forms, which could be easily released from the soil by a washing method. Therefore, the characteristics of Pb desorption for remediation of the Pb-contaminated soil were evaluated using hydrochloric acid (HCl) by a washing method. Batch experiments were performed to identify the factors influencing extraction efficiency. The effects of the solid to liquid (S/L) ratio (1:2, 1:3, and 1:4), soil particle size, and extraction time on the removal capacity of Pb by HCl were evaluated. Soil samples were collected from two different areas: a slope area (SA) and a land area (LA) at the field. As results, the optimal conditions at 2.8 to 0.075 mm of particle size were 1:3 of the S/L ratio and 10 min of extraction time for SA, and 1:4 of the S/L ratio and 5 min of extraction time for LA. The characteristics of Pb desorption were adequately described by two-reaction kinetic models.

Natural Artemisia extraction was extracted from Artemisia component using diethyl ether as a solvent, and we tested various pharmacetical and chemical characteristics of this extract. Characteristic experiments to use natural Artemisia extract tested antimicrobial experiment using microbe in pharmacetical material, and tested dye experiment using fiber in chemical material. From the result of characteristics experiment, some conclusions are obtained as follow. From the result of extraction experiment, it obtained about 10.4%-Artemisia extraction ratio as semi-solid state, and after dried in freezing from Artemisia extract of semi-solid state, it obtained about 10%-Artemisia extraction ratio as solid state of dark blue-green color. From result of antimicrobial experiment of Artemisia extract, number of staphylococcus aureus (ATCC-01) and aspergillus niger (ATCC-02) in microbe decreased more and more according to time passage. This phenomenon showed that Artemisia extract influences to antimicrobial effect. From the result of dye experiment of Artemisia extract, it appeared in direction of dark blue-green color after dyed to use cotton and silk with fiber to control in pH 7.5. Specially the result which confirmed dye of fiber with optical electron microscope (OEM), we could know that it appears darker silk than cotton.

Water for crop growth were supplied by irrigation in protected cultivation and these are accumulated in the soil and utilized for crop evapotranspiration. The study for analyzing soil moisture characteristics is necessary for adequate irrigation water and soil water management in protected cultivation. Soil moisture content, irrigation water quantity and meteorological data were monitored to analyze soil moisture increment and extraction characteristics in terms of soil layers and cucumber crop growth stages. In first cropping period, the total amount of irrigation water was 5.07 mm/day, soil moisture increment was 4.82 mm/day and soil moisture extraction was 5.56 mm/day. In second cropping period, the total amount of irrigation water was 4.82 mm/day, soil moisture increment was 4.65 mm/day and soil moisture extraction was 4.73 mm/day. Soil moisture extraction rate from 0 to 75 cm is 90.3 % in first cropping period and 79.1 % in second cropping period. The majority irrigation water were consumed in root zone, however, about 15 % of soil moisture were losses by infiltration in lower soil layer. Soil moisture extraction and extraction pattern of cucumber crop calculated in this study can be utilized as a basic data for irrigation water management in protected cultivation.
