외부 교류자장이 Bi-2223테이프의 동저항 및 손실특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of an External AC Magnetic field on Dynamic Resistance and Loss Characteristic in a Bi-2223 Tape)

  • A Bi-2223 tape has been developed for power applications such as a fault current limiter, a power cable and a superconducting magnetic energy storage system. In such applications, the Bi-2223 tape carries time varying transport current and in addition experiences time varying external magnetic field. It is well known that the external magnetic field not only causes magnetization loss in the Bi-2223 tape, but also drastically increases transport loss due to a so-called 'dynamic resistance' We developed an evaluation setup, which can measure transport loss in external at magnetic fields. Using this equipment, we measured the dynamic resistances for various amplitudes and frequencies of an external at magnetic field perpendicular to the face in the tape. Simultaneously we investigated the effect of an external ac field on transport loss with different experimental conditions. This paper describes test results ana discussions on correlation between the dynamic resistance and the transport loss for the Bi-2223 tape.

Systems to prevent the load resistance loss of pallet racks exposed to cyclic external force

  • This study aims to determine the cause of the load resistance loss in storage racks that can be attributed to external forces such as earthquakes and to improve safety by developing reinforcement systems that can prevent load resistance loss. To this end, a static cyclic loading test was performed on pallet racks commonly used in logistics warehouses. The test results indicated that a pallet rack exposed to an external force loses more than 50% of its load resistance owing to the damage caused to column-beam joints. Three reinforcement systems were developed for preventing load resistance loss in storage racks exposed to an external force and for performing differentiated target functions: column reinforcement device, seismic damper, and viscoelastic damper. Shake table testing was performed to evaluate the earthquake response and verify the performance of these reinforcement systems. The results confirmed that, the maximum displacement, which causes the loss of load resistance and the permanent deformation of racks under external force, is reduced using the developed reinforcement devices. Thus, the appropriate selection of the developed reinforcement devices by users can help secure the safety of the storage racks.

  • This paper considers corrosion problems in the bolt connection of weathering steel box girder bridge using the external electric type corrosion resistance method which resisted to local corrosion in coated steel surface with contacted air. The weathering steel was created a rust itself in the passive state. but a coated box girder type was easily dew form could be made galvanic cell that accelerated corrosion. so that it was ruled by protection coat with some paint. Therefore, it needed that can be applied the external electric type corrosion resistance method in coated surface. As a result of the test of polarization amount had measured that the weathering steel was higher currents than the general steel by about $5\~10\%$. Therefore. an external electric type corrosion resistance method can be used to protect local corrosion in the coated bolt connection of weathering steel box girders effectively.

솔잎혹파리 피해임지내 수목의 외형적 인자와 관련한 수세변동과정 해석 (The Study on Vigor and External Factors of Tree in Damaged Pine Stands by Thecodiplosis japonensis Uchida et Inouye)

  • 본 논문은 솔잎혹파리 피해임지에서 수목의 외형적인자(수고, 수관폭, 흉고직경, 지하고)와 shigometer를 이용한 전기 저항치 ($k{\Omega}$)의 관계를 조사하였다. 외형적인자와 저항치간의 관계는 수고, 수관폭, 흉고직경은 높은 상관관계가 있었고, 지하고는 뚜렷한 관계가 나타나지 않았다. 수고, 수관폭, 흉고직경은 큰 수목이 전기저항치가 낮았고(수목의 활력이 높음) 작은 수목이 전기저항치가 높았다(수목의 활력이 낮음). 솔잎혹파리 피해임지의 고사목과 생존목을 비교하면 고사목이 생존목에 비하여 수관폭과 흉고직경의 크기는 작았고, 지하고는 높았다. 전기저항치를 3등급으로 구분 한 결과(< $14{\Omega}$, 생존가능성 양호, $14{\sim}20{\Omega}$, > $20k{\Omega}$고사 가능성 있음), 외형적인자의 크기는 낮은등급(< $14{\Omega}$)에서 수고, 수관폭, 흉고직경이 컸으며, 지하고는 낮았다. 조사한 외형적인자와 수세와의 관계를 직선회귀 방정식으로 산출한 결과 Y=-0.572${\times}$수고-1.163${\times}$수관폭-0.242${\times}$흉고직경+0.757${\times}$지하고+25.765이였으며 이들의 회귀식은 5%의 수준에서 유의성이 인정된다.

  • The transport loss of a Bi-2223 tape exposed to external magnetic fields was investigated. The results show that the transport loss is independent on voltage lead arrangements in case the magnetization loss is compensated. A serous increase of the transport loss due to external AC magnetic field is observed. The loss is described well by dynamic resistance loss in relatively high fields, but another mechanism than the dynamic resistance must be responsible for the increase of the loss in low fields. The transport loss is also dependent strongly on the orientation of the external fields.

이형반응기 미생물연료전지의 전기적 특성에 미치는 외부저항의 영향 (Effect of External Resistance on Electrical Properties of Two-Chamber type Microbial Fuel Cells)

  • Ferricyanide를 환원제로 사용하는 이형반응기 미생물연료전지 시스템에서 전류밀도, 전력밀도, 쿨롱효율 등의 전기적 특성에 미치는 외부저항의 영향을 규명하고자 하였다. 음극반응기에 미생물을 접종하고 일정한 시간이 경과하면 안정적인 전기가 생산되었으며 $50{\Omega}$의 외부저항에서 0.13~0.16 V 범위의 전압이 발생되었다. 외부저항이 증가함에 따라 전류밀도는 감소하였으며 전력밀도는 일정한 값까지는 급격하게 증가하다가 서서히 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 외부저항을 단계적으로 감소시키는 반복실험을 수행한 결과, 일정한 범위의 전류밀도까지는 측정값들의 편차가 크지 않았으나 높은 전류밀도 영역에서는 기질소모로 발생하는 농도손실의 영향으로 측정값의 변동성이 매우 크게 나타났다. 전력밀도 및 쿨롱효율은 MFC 시스템의 내부저항($134{\Omega}$)과 가까운 $100{\Omega}$의 외부저항에서 각각 $175.8mW/m^2$과 46.1%의 최대값을 가지는 것으로 나타났다.

  • In this paper, the protection resistance determination for the field winding in superconducting generator is suggested. To protect the field winding in a generator, they usually use the external resistance to decrease the field current more rapidly when quench occurs in the winding. Since the field winding is actually separated into four sections (magnets), we have choices to insert 1, 2, and 4 external resistances. For each case, the current decay and the voltages across e winding are calculated, and we can choose the best external resistance.

Effects of Different External Loads on the Activities of the Gluteus Maximus and Biceps Femoris during Prone Hip Extension in Healthy Young Men

  • PURPOSE: This study examined the effects of different external loads on the muscle activities around the hip during prone hip extension with knee flexion (PHEKF) exercise in healthy young men. METHODS: Sixteen healthy adult males participated in the study. A pressure biofeedback unit was used to provide feedback to the participants during the abdominal drawing-in maneuver (ADIM) with PHEKF. Sandbags (0 kg, 1 kg, 2 kg, and 3 kg) were used to provide external resistance. The quadriceps was contracted to maintain knee flexion 90° against resistance. Each resistance condition using a sandbag weight was given in random order. Surface electromyography (sEMG) was used to measure the electrical activity of the gluteus maximus, biceps femoris, and erector spinae during PHEKF. RESULTS: The muscle activity of the gluteus maximus was highest with the 3 kg resistance and lowest with 0 kg (F = 128.46, P = .00). The muscle activities of the biceps femoris and erector spinae were highest with 0 kg and lowest with 3 kg (F = 29.49, P = .00). The muscle activity rate of the gluteus maximus/biceps femoris was highest with 3 kg and lowest with 0 kg (F = 37.49, P = .00). CONCLUSION: The activity of the gluteus maximus was increased using a higher external weight load during PHEKF, while the activity of the biceps femoris decreased. These findings suggest that an external weight is needed during hip extensor exercise to strengthen the gluteus maximus and inhibit the biceps femoris.

우리나라 실정에 맞는 전력구에 대한 외부열저항 계산식에 관한 연구 (A Study on an External Thermal Resistance Equation of Underground Tunnel in Korea)
