PSC교량 보강시 긴장력 도입순서의 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on Effect of Pre-Stressing Sequences in PSC Bridge Strengthening Method Using Continuity with External Prestressing)

  • Numerous PSC bridges are stregthened by the combined use of continuity of simple spans and addition of external prestressing. In this case prestressing sequences should be carefully checked due to the effect on the stress and camber of girders and slab. Various prestressing sequences were applied in this field test and measured values were analysed. This results show that preatressing sequences affact the stress and deflection of bridge members, so the prestressing sequence should be considered at the desist and construction stages of deteriorated bridges.

Behavior and stress check of concrete box girders strengthened by external prestressing

  • The deterioration of existing bridges has become a major problem around the world. In the paper, a new model and an associated stress checking method are proposed for concrete box girders strengthened by external prestressing. The new model called the spatial grid model can analyze all the spatial behaviors clearly by transforming the box girder into discrete orthogonal grids which are equivalent to plate elements. Then the three-layer stresses are employed as the stress checking indices to evaluate the stress state of the plate elements. The initial stress check before strengthening reveals the cracked and potential cracking areas for existing bridges, making the strengthening design more targeted and scientific; the subsequent stress check after strengthening evaluates the strengthening effect and ensures safety. A deficient bridge is selected as the practical example, verifying the accuracy and applicability of the proposed model and stress checking method. The results show that principal stresses in the middle layer of plate elements reflect the main effects of external prestressing and thus are the key stress checking indices for strengthening. Moreover, principal stresses check should be conducted in all parts of the strengthened structure not only in the webs. As for the local effects of external prestressing especially in the areas near anchorage and deviator, normal stresses check in the outer and inner layers dominates and local strengthening measures should be taken if necessary.

  • The major objectives of this study are to investigate experimental and analytical behavior of composite steel plate strengthened by external post prestressing method and to study the increasing magnitude of load carrying capacity by the external post prestressing method. With installed strain gauges and LVDT, the change of structural behaviors according to the amount of prestressing force is measured and the effects of shear strengthening according to the degree of angle in tendon are studied. The analytical structural behavior according to the amount of prestressing force is also investigated using finite element method. The effectiveness of strengthening of external post prestressing method is proved and an efficient FEM model is suggested by comparing the test results and analyzing results.

  • With a rapid industrialization, repair and strengthening methods for a damaged bridges are raised a head in face of safety and reduction of physical distribution costs of bridges. Above all, external prestressing method has the high adaptability for concrete structures and the reliable effect of strengthening. Innovative ideas for bridges strengthening were considered along with established methods. That methods are identified, described. However there is not a systematic and categorized manual for external prestressing method. This study will provide a systematic and reliable manual with investigating the arrangement shape of cable and characteristics of brackets. And the key result of this study is an extensive compilation, which can be used by practicing engineers, of the most effective techniques for strengthening existing bridges.

  • This study is to develop a strengthening method for slab bridges with external prestressing. There are so many different strengthening methods for damaged slab bridges, external prestressing method is the most effective, economical and durable strengthening method among them. But, its problem lies in anchoring devices, so recently, an effective anchoring method was developed and showed its improvements. In this study, a more improved method is suggested. Longitudinal tendons placed on both side of slab strengthens the whole bridge, and lateral tendons placed under the slab strengthens the middle of slab, and conveys the load at middle slab to both sides. Structural analysis for the tensile force for strengthening were analysed. Generally, 200-280tons for longitudinal tendon and 130-190 tons for lateral tendons are good enough to strengthen the damaged slab. This method has no upward roof work, so it is very convenient for installing. And no spaces under the slab are need, so it is good for shallow slabs which has less space under the slab.

  • Generally speaking, durability, load carrying capacity and the life of structure becomes to be shortened in all structures as time passed. Also, we have to repair and reinforce because of tile decrease of the traffic volume and overloaded vehicles in the bridge. External prestressing method is most popular and effective strengthening method which can be used for the prestressed concrete-girders. When strengthening with external prestressing method, there are many ways to install anchorage system. But, These methods have many faults. For example, the achorage force is so small or an anchorage system installation damages an existing structure. So, this paper suggested a new anchorage system to strengthen without any damage to the structure and then confirm the increase of durability and the properties of behavior with experimentation.

  • The needs for strengthening and rehabilitation of the concrete bridges are a growing concern in many countries and has been emphasized in various researches and papers. Traditional external post-tensioning method using either steel bars or tendons is commonly used as a strengthening method. However, the method has some disadvantages such as stress concentration at the anchorages. Multi-stepwise thermal prestressing method is a newly proposed method for strengthening and rehabilitation of concrete girder bridges. Founded on a simple concept of thermal expansion and contraction of steel, the method is a hybrid method of external post-tensioning and steel plate bonding, combining the merits of two methods. In this paper, basic concepts on strengthening and rehabilitation of concrete girder are presented and an illustrative experiment is introduced.

  • 이 연구에서는 연속 거더교의 외부강선 보강 효과를 극대화할 수 있는 효율적인 방법을 도출하였다. 등가하중개념을 적용하여 기존 방법 대비 제안된 보강 방법의 개선점을 명확히 분석하였다. 보강 효과의 검증을 위해 연속보의 외부강선 보강 실험을 실시하여 외부강선에 의한 내하력 향상 효과를 고찰하였다. 연속보 실험체는 콘크리트 거더 연속교의 일반적인 시공법과 동일하게 바닥판 슬래브 부분만을 연속화하여 제작하였다. 실험 결과 동일한 크기의 외력이 작용할 때 외부강선이 보강된 실험체는 보강되지 않은 실험체에 비해 처짐이나 변형률이 대폭 감소하는 경향을 보였으며, 부재의 강성도 또한 증가하였다. 특히 제안된 방법은 연속교 중간 지점부의 부모멘트에 의한 바닥판의 인장응력을 효과적으로 감소시킬 수 있음이 확인되었다.

  • 본 연구에서는 RC 중공슬래브 교량의 내하력을 향상시키기 위해 외부 프리스트레싱을 이용한 보강방법을 제시하였다. 효과적인 보강을 위해 Queen-post 형식과 King-post 형식이 고려되었으며, 축차무제 약 최소화 기법(SUMT)를 이용하여 목표 내하율을 달성하기 위한 최적의 형상과 긴장력을 구하였다. 최적보강을 위한 목적함수는 재료비용을 무차원화한 비용함수로 구성하였으며, 제약조건은 시방서 규정과 내하율을 고려하여 형성하였다. RC 중공슬래브 교량의 보강을 실행한 후 그 결과를 분석하여 제안된 방법의 타당성을 제시하였다.

  • 현재 콘크리트 교량의 보강 공법으로 주로 사용되는 외부 강봉을 이용한 후 인장 공법은 적용 범위가 넓고 교량의 극한 및 항복에 대한 강성을 증가시켜 휨보강 효과가 뛰어나지만, 모재 접합부의 응력집중, 비효율적인 하중 분배, 고정앵커부 설치, 유지관리의 어려움 등의 단점이 있다. 본 연구는 기존의 외부 강봉을 이용한 후 인장 공법이 가지는 단점을 보완하고 강판 접합 공법의 장점을 접목한 새로운 개념의 보강 공법으로 온도 프리스트레싱 보강 공법을 제안하고자 한다. 온도 프리스트레싱 보강 공법은 프리스트레싱 보강 강판을 다단계로 가열하여 가열 단계별로 콘크리트 교량의 하부에 접합한 뒤, 열원을 제거하여 발생하는 다단계 수축력을 보강에 필요한 프리스트레싱력으로 이용하는 보강 공법이다. 본 연구에서 제안된 온도 프리스트레싱 보강 공법의 적용을 위한 기초적인 연구로 프리스트레싱 보강 강판을 콘크리트 교량에 설치하기 위한 고정장치의 마찰저항 강도 실험과 온도 프리스트레싱에 의하여 콘크리트 교량에 도입되는 프리스트레싱 효과의 확인을 위한 응력 도입 실험을 실시하여 제안된 공법을 검증하였다.
