본 연구에서는 비유사 확장 시 확장제품에 대한 평가는 목표확장제품으로 직접확장하였을 경우보다는 순차적 확장을 하였을 경우 더욱 호의적이라는 선행연구에 근거하여, 이러한 브랜드확장 유형(순차적 확장 vs. 직접확장)에 따른 확장제품평가의 차이가 브랜드 컨셉(기능적 브랜드 vs. 상징적 브랜드)과 목표확장제품의 가격(저가 vs. 고가)에 따라 어떻게 달라지는지 두 차례의 실험을 통해 그 조절적 역할을 검증하였다. 실증분석결과, 선행연구에서와 마찬가지로 비유사 확장 시 목표확장제품에 대한 평가는 직접확장보다 순차적 확장 시 더욱 호의적이었다. 하지만 브랜드확장 유형에 따른 목표확장제품의 평가차이는 기능적 브랜드보다 상징적 브랜드일 경우 현격히 줄어들었으며, 목표확장제품의 가격이 저가일 경우에 비해 고가일 경우 크게 줄어들었다. 즉, 브랜드 컨셉과 목표확장제품의 가격이 브랜드확장 유형의 주효과를 조절하는 변수로서의 역할을 하고 있음이 확인되었다.

The nature of work which is changing has increased the importance of HRD within organization. Also, these changes are making HRD shift its paradigm : from the segregated, closed, operational & administrative, dependent, utilitarian view to the integrative, open, strategic & facilitative, interdependent, generative view. The shifts of the perspective on HRD cause HRD professionals rethink the purpose and definition of HRD, and the role & competency needed to HRD in 21st century. The findings which are drawn through literature review and researcher’s intuition based on a long field experience are as follows. First, The function of HRD has recently been much more important then that of the past. Second, There is no consensus over the conceptual identity of HRD. Nonetheless, it is apparent that the preferred activities of the HRD function is performance improvement. Third, It is too difficult that we should define clearly the role & competency of HRD because of diverse perspectives on them. But we find much evidence converging to support the fact that the role & competency of HRD should be extended from the sole focus on training & development to adding the additional role & competency of change agent, who includes planning, implementing, and managing change.

The objectives of this paper were to review the difference between the analog and digital age, and to suggest new communication strategies for Agricultural Extension Service Centers in the digital age. Literature review and discussion on the information age and its supporting technologies, such as the Internet and other digital tools, has enabled communication to occur during time periods and in locations based upon individual needs. With increasing number of internet subscribers using email and the world wide web, the internet is now considered a new mass media for communication, and may soon consider such electronic connectivity as essential in agricultural extension services. Communication strategies in the future should recognize and adapt to the changing needs farmers and extension educators in the information age. Utilization of internet technology and digital tools in communication may attract and retain farmers and extension educators in the future, thus. some of new strategies for communication in agricultural extension services should include the following; 1) traditional linear model should be change into interactive model in communication. 2) Agricultural extension service should include creative role with diffusion process. 3) Agricultural extension service should establish new receiver paradigm and form new partnership with farmer.

This study investigates the importance of brand and retailer associations when consumers evaluate a product category extension in the context of brand and retailer collaborations. Although brand extensions are considered to reduce costs for introducing a new product category, limited study has focused on the role of brand and retailer associations in the context of brand and retailer collaborations. Using a total of 440 participants, a hypothesized model was tested using a structural equation modeling (SEM). The results show that brand and retailer associations influence the perceived fit between a brand and a retailer. In addition, the image fit and quality fit are significantly related to brand and retailer attitudes as well as brand extension evaluation. Since consumers may use their associations with brands or retailers when they perceive product differentiation, market position, and brand extensions, the role of brand or retailer associations is important to marketers, retailers, and consumers. Given the importance of brand and retailer collaborations as a brand positioning strategy in the global branding and retail setting, the findings of this study contribute to brand and retail management by providing empirical evidence on how consumers perceive new products from extended brands in the marketplace when a brand collaborates with a retailer.

The objectives of this study were: a) to classify the rural women's roles according to degree of participation in farming and decision making, b) to find out the needs for support policy considering the role types, and c) to put forward the programs for supporting rural women according to their role types. This study was based on a literature review, empirical analysis, and opinions from a panel of experts and professionals including rural women in Korea. Based on the findings from this study, the following suggestions should be considered for supporting the rural women according to the types of their roles: 1) Government should enhance the support system for rural women in terms of policy and social system. Careful considerations on the status of woman farmers according to their role types should be reflected in the policy and social system. 2) Family cultural reform, farming helper system, reducing the housework burden, supporting educational expenses, and providing more opportunities for closer contact to the community actions and educational programs should be included in the support system. 3) Rural women's participation in various community action and educational programs should be encouraged by providing diverse incentives, appropriate information and educational supports designed to support woman farmers.

The rural extension in Korea faces transient period since Green Revolution. The urban-centered rapid industrialization policies have initiated the changes in rural and agricultural sector. Nowadays, the World Trade Organization (WTO), newly established by the agreement of the Uruguay Round (UR), is accelerating the changes in rural areas. The rural structural adjustment program established in 1990, in order to cope with the internal and external changes encompassing rural Korea. The rural structure adjustment program is a political responses to reduce the development gaps among industries and regions within the country and to reinforce the price competitiveness of agricultural products toward trade liberalization. This study aims to apply the contents and principles of the rural structural adjustment program for the extension education. It argues that the rural extension should play a pivotal role to gather, process, and deliver the information related to the rural structural adjustment initiating rapid rural social changes. It suggests that the rural extension services should deal with the development of industries through introducing business management techniques and linking relevant laborers, and the education and employment guidance of potential employees as well as the technological assistance on farm management to farmers.

The objectives of this study were: a) to classify rural women's roles according to apicultural activity, and b) to find out the needs for education system related to women's roles in agricultural technology and the participation in decision making of farming activities, and c) to put forward the programs in agricultural educational system for supporting rural women according to their role types. This study was based on a literature review, empirical analysis including women in rural Korea. Based on the empirical findings, the following suggestions could be of offered for helping the rural women according to the types of their roles. 1) Family cultural reform, farming helper system, relief of housework allotment, supporting educational expenses, equal opportunity and easier places for participations should be strengthened in education programs of women farmers in Korea. 2) Government should provide diverse incentive programs, appropriate information and educational supports for women farmers' agricultural education including equipment and facilities for easy farm management. 3) Automation and mechanization of farm works, computer education, eco-friendly agricultural production skills, family consciousness and group action, importance and the future prospects of agriculture and farming, leadership role should be strengthened in agricultural education programs for rural women.

The 4-H camping programs in USA have been providing various resources so that members can achieve their physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential. The camping programs have been carried out members to participate in programs as responsible citizens in their local, national and international communities. One of the key requirements of successful youth camping was the leadership role of leaders with more conscious and systematic for preparing, equipping, and carrying out programs. This paper was intended to explore the goals of 4-H camping and leaders' role in USA, and give implications to Korean outdoor activities. To perform the 4-H camping effectively, the camping leaders need to focus on the following steps: First of all, they need to recognize the specific purposes and missions of participation in the 4-H camping. Secondly, they should make sense of the site-based teaching skills and its application in the field. Thirdly. they should set up the principles of effective camping strategies and abide by the steps in the process of activities. In addition, they should be qualified to handle the risk management skills, research and survey technology, and environment conservation efforts throughout the camping.

Pleurotus eryngii has recently become a major cultivated mushroom; it uses tetrapolar heterothallism as a part of its reproductive process. Sexual development progresses only when the A and B mating types are compatible. Such mating incompatibility occasionally limits the efficiency of breeding programs in which crossing within loci-shared strains or backcrossing strategies are employed. Therefore, understanding the mating system in edible mushroom fungi will help provide a short cut in the development of new strains. We isolated and identified pheromone and receptor genes in the B3 locus of P. eryngii and performed a functional analysis of the genes in the mating process by transformation. A genomic DNA library was constructed to map the entire mating-type locus. The B3 locus was found to contain four pheromone precursor genes and four receptor genes. Remarkably, receptor PESTE3.3.1 has just 34 amino acid residues in its C-terminal cytoplasmic region; therefore, it seems likely to be a receptor-like gene. Real-time quantitative RT-PCR (real-time qRT-PCR) revealed that most pheromone and receptor genes showed significantly higher expression in monokaryotic cells than dikaryotic cells. The pheromone genes PEphb3.1 and PEphb3.3 and the receptor gene PESTE3.3.1 were transformed into P5 (A3B4). The transformants were mated with a tester strain (A4B4), and the progeny showed clamp connections and a normal fruiting body, which indicates the proposed role of these genes in mating and fruiting processes. This result also confirms that PESTE3.3.1 is a receptor gene. In this study, we identified pheromone and receptor genes in the B3 locus of P. eryngii and found that some of those genes appear to play a role in the mating and fruiting processes. These results might help elucidate the mechanism of fruiting differentiation and improve breeding efficiency.

The current drive in an MOSFET is limited by the intrinsic channel resistance. All the other parasitic elements in a device structure playa significant role and degrade the device performance. These other resistances need to be less than $10{\%}-20{\%}$ of the channel resistance. To achieve the requirements, we should investigate the methodology of separation and quantification of those resistances. In this paper, we developed the extraction method of resistances using calibrated TCAD simulation. The resistance of the extension region is also partially determined by the formation of a surface accumulation region that forms under the gate in the tail region of the extension profile. This resistance is strongly affected by the abruptness of the extension profile because the steeper the profile is, the shorter this accumulation region will be.
