Even though Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) is used for data storage, a page table should be built to access data in it. And this observation leads us to the Persistent Page Table (PPT) scheme that keeps the page table in NVM persistently. By the way, processors have different page table structures and really operational page table cannot be built without virtual and physical addresses of NVM. However, those addresses are determined dynamically when NVM storage is attached to the system. Thus, the PPT should have system-independent and also address-independent structure and really working system-dependent page table should be built from the PPT. Moreover, entries of PPT should be updated atomically and, in this paper, we describe the design of PPT that meets those requirements. And we investigate how file systems can decrease the journaling overhead with the swap operation, which is a new operation created by the PPT. We modified the Ext4 file system in Linux and experiments conducted with Filebench workloads show that the swap operation enhances file system performance up to 60%.

Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the eating behavior (EB) and nutritional status of university students in Gwangju, and to compare their nutrition quotients (NQs) and problems according to their EB types. Methods: The subjects were 219 (127 female and 92 male) undergraduate students from Gwangju. The Student's t-test was used to compare the EB levels according to gender, and Pearson's χ² test was used to compare the distribution of EB types by gender. A gender-adjusted analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was conducted to examine the difference in NQs by EB types. Results: First, there were significant differences in the EB scores and the distribution of EB types according to gender. Female students showed higher levels of emotional (Emo) and external (Ext) EBs than the male students, and Emo, Ext, and combined (Com) EB types were more evident among female rather than male students. Second, there was a difference in NQs according to the EB types. The Emo EB type subjects had a lower NQ than those of the restrained (Res) EB type and showed significant differences in diversity and dietary behavior. Specifically, the Emo EB type subjects displayed significantly lower efforts to maintain a healthy diet and subjective health status than the Com EB type and their levels of checking nutrition labels, hand washing, and water intake were significantly lower than that of the Res EB type. The Ext EB type showed significantly lower moderation of Ramyeon and sweetened drink intake than the Res and Com EB types. Conclusion: The level of EBs and the distribution of EB types varied according to gender, and the NQs were different according to EB types. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the establishment of customized strategies for improvement by identifying major nutritional problems by gender and the EB types of university students.

Let R be a commutative Noetherian ring, I and J two ideals of R, and M a finitely generated R-module. We prove that $$Ext^i{_R}(R/I,H^t{_{I,J}}(M))$$ is finitely generated for i = 0, 1 where t=inf{$i{\in}\mathbb{N}_0:H^2{_{I,J}}(M)$ is not finitely generated}. Also, we prove that $H^i{_{I+J}}(H^t{_{I,J}}(M))$ is Artinian when dim(R/I + J) = 0 and i = 0, 1.

In this paper, a general performance of the PSS-LCD or Polarization Shielded Smectic Liquid Crystal Display is discussed. This smectic base LCD does not use any spontaneous polarization, but uses induced polarization just sa me with current nematic base LCDs. Specific initial molecular alignment as well as specific cell design realizes ext remely fast optical response speed with native wide viewing angle. Moreover, this performance is provided by full compatible electronics for current conventional LCDs. A general performance of the PSS-LCD is introduced herein.

This paper proposes directory service protocol in distributed environment. By adding an condition retrieval function to Modify operation, the ExtModify operation improves the inconvenience to transfer a search operation and resume a Modify operation. The method suggests how to correct all the entries which require retrieval condition out of other entries designated by LDAPND.

Let R be a commutative Noetherian ring and I, J be ideals of R. We introduced the notion of (I; J)-cominimax R-modules. For an integer $n$ and an R-module M, let $H^i_{I,J}(M)$ be an (I; J)-cominimax R-module for all $i<n$. The J-minimaxness of some Ext modules of $H^n_{I,J}(M)$ is investigated. Among of the obtaining results, there is a generalization of the main result of [1].
