다양한 손상상태를 반영한 피뢰기 설비의 지진취약도 해석 (Seismic Fragility Analysis of Lightning Arrester Considering Various Damage States)

  • The seismic evaluation of electric power facilities in the switchyard of nuclear power plants is currently insufficient. In order to evaluate the seismic performance of lightning arrester subjected to four types of earthquake (near- and far-fault earthquakes, NEHRP Site Class A&B and D earthquakes), seismic fragility analysis using maximum likelihood estimation is performed considering various damage states. The comparison of the seismic fragility curves for three main parts of lightning arrester that are the busing, anchor and steel frame, reveals that the failure of lightning arrester is governed by the bushing damage mode such as porcelain cracking.

  • Technical countermeasures against debris flow should be established upon the risk level of the target location. Risk of debris flow should consider the hazard imposed by debris flow and vulnerability of the facilities to debris flow. In this research, we have defined the target location for risk evaluation and suggested scoring method of hazard of debris flow and vulnerability of road to debris flow. By defining risk rank into 6 categories in terms of possibility of damage during rainfall and using the risk scores of 46 debris flow cases, we have suggested risk ranking matrix. The method can be used in ranking the drainage basin adjacent to road by simply determining the hazard with vulnerability score and can be used for planning the debris flow countermeasures.

인적특성을 고려한 고령 운전자 교통사고 영향요인 분석 (Analysis of Old Driver's Accident Influencing Factors Considering Human Factors)

  • This paper reports the aging driver traffic accident severity modeling results. For the modeling, Poisson regression approach is applied using the data set obtained from the Korea Transportation Safety Authority's simulator-based driver aptitude test results. The test items include the estimations of moving objects' speed and stopping distance, drivers' multi-task capability, and kinetic depth perception and so on. The resulting model with the response variable of equivalent property damage only(EPDO) indicated that EPDO is significantly influenced by moving objects' speed estimation and drivers' multi-task capabilities. More interestingly, a comparison with the younger driver model revealed that the degradation of such capabilities may result in severer crashes for older drivers as suggested by the higher estimated parameters for the older driver model.

작업차량 장착용 충격흡수장치(TMA) 성능평가기준 수립 및 개발 연구 (A Study on the Development and of Establishment Performance Evaluation Criteria of Working Truck Mounted Attenuator)

  • Rear collisions to expressway work trucks result many casualties these days. But, currently, no special measure are being taken except deploying sign trucks behind the working trucks. In the U.S and Europe, trucks with TMA(Truck Mounted Attenuator) are being deployed behind the working truck, which is regarded as the standard method for work area safety, thereby reducing the fatality rates and property damage tremendously. Also, standard for the performance of TMA are established and TMA can be used in the field only when it satisfies the standard. In Korea, neither the standard for nor any guide to the TMA exists. In the situation some manufacturer developed TMA without proper performance evaluation and marketed limited number of TMAs in the field. In the study, NCHRP350, which is the performance standard of expressway safety features of U.S. and materials related to the TMA standard in Europe have been reviewed to establish the Korean performance criteria. Based on the review, and incorporating existing Korean standard for crash cushions, domestic standard for TMA has been proposed and applied in developing Korean TMA and crash tested it to verify the performance. The original design developed was crash tested and modified. The newly proposed design was studied using impact simulation program several times. Modifications were made after each simulation and prototype was built and crash tested as per the newly established TMA performance criteria.

유채의 출아 검정을 통한 제설제의 작물 영향 평가 (Evaluation on the Effects of Deicing Salts on Crop using Seedling Emergence Assay of Oilseed Rape (Brassica napus))

  • 겨울철 제설제 사용이 증가함에 따라 제설제가 사용된 고속도로변의 농작물에 대한 피해사례가 증가하고 있다. 국내 다양한 제설제가 제설목적으로 사용되고 있지만 작물에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구는 제한적이다. 따라서 본 연구는 국내에서 사용되는 6종의 제설제가 유채의 출아에 미치는 영향을 비교하여 작물에 미치는 제설제의 영향을 비교 평가하고자 수행되었다. NaCl, CaCl2 또는 MgCl2으로 구성된 5개의 염화물계 제설제와 1개의 비염화물계 제설제(SM-3)를 유채 파종 직후 6 처리농도(0. 25, 50, 100, 200, 400 mM)로 처리한 후 출아개체수를 조사하였다. 유채의 출아는 제설제 종류에 관계없이 제설제 농도가 증가함에 따라 현저히 감소하였는데 비염화물계 보다 염화물계 제설제 처리구에서 높은 출아억제가 확인되었다. 제설제 농도에 따른 출아율을 log-logistic 모델에 적용하여 비선형회귀 분석을 실시한 결과 50% 출아를 억제하는 농도인 GR50값이 비염화물계인 SM-3는 47.1 mM이고, 염화물계 제설제는 30.7 mM (PC-10)에서 37.5 mM (ES-1)로 비염화물계 제설제와 염화물계 제설제간 9.6 mM ~ 16.4 mM의 차이를 보였으나 염화물계 제설제간 차이는 크지 않음을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 유채의 출아 특성 평가가 작물에 대한 제설제의 잠재적 피해를 예측할 수 있는 유용한 평가방법임을 시사한다.

고속도로 방음벽 유지관리를 위한 방음벽 노후도 평가 방안 (Deterioration Evaluation Method of Noise Barriers for Managements of Highway)

  • 본 연구에서는 고속도로 방음벽을 대상으로 방음벽의 손상유형 분류 및 손상등급 체계를 마련하고 이를 반영한 방음벽 노후도 평가기법 개발을 목표로 하였다. 방음벽이 방음판, 기초, 지주로 구성되어 있고 10종의 다양한 재질이 활용되고 있는 방음판은 단일 또는 혼합형으로 사용되고 있으며, 방음판의 손상은 단일 또는 복합적인 손상을 나타내는 특징을 나타내고 있어 이러한 방음벽의 특징을 반영할 수 있는 방음벽 노후도 평가모델을 개발하고자 하였다. 방음벽에 주로 사용되고 있는 재질을 금속재, 플라스틱재, 목재, 투명재, 콘크리트재의 재질유형으로 나누고 또한, 각 재질별 손상유형을 부식, 변색, 변형, 깨짐, 탈리로 분류하여 방음벽의 손상유형을 방음벽 구성부재와 재질에 따라 세분화하였다. 방음벽 주요부위별로 각 손상유형별 손상등급을 양호, 경미, 보통, 심함으로 구분하여 방음판, 지주, 기초의 손상등급을 평가, 이를 바탕으로 부위별 노후도를 평가하여 가중평균을 통한 방음벽 전체의 노후도를 평가하는 방식을 통해서 종합적인 방음벽 노후화 정도를 평가하였다. 단일형 또는 혼합형 방음판을 사용하는 방음벽의 노후도 평가는 물론, 손상유형이 단일형 뿐만 아니라 복합형으로 나타나는 방음벽에 대해서도 체계적인 평가가 가능한 노후도 평가 기법을 개발하였으며, 이러한 평가시스템을 통하여, 현재 설치되어 있는 방음시설의 노후화 현황을 체계적으로 파악함은 물론, 이를 토대로 방음벽의 보수 및 개량을 위한 효율적인 유지관리 계획 및 시행에 활용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

  • This study provides a methodology for development of the Seismic Damage Evaluation System (SDES) in Korea. Major systems and status of database related to road networks in Korea are investigated to analyze the usability of the required information for developing the SDES. In this study, the SDES is composed of four components that are the road network component, the ground motion component, the fragile structure component, and the cost component. In addition, the procedures for the construction of database which support the SDES is proposed, and a prototype of the SDES for expressway of Korea is developed based on the developed methodology. The National Geospatial Information System (NGIS) and the National Earthquake Information System (NEIS) are used to develop the road network component and ground motion component, respectively. For the fragile structure component and the cost component, Highway Bridge Management System (HEMS) was used.

위험물질 수송차량의 고속도로 터널통행규제 분석 연구 (A Study on the Suitability Analysis of Tunnel Access Control for Hazardous Materials Transport Vehicles on the Expressway)

  • 도로를 주행하는 위험물질 수송차량 사고는 재난형태의 심각한 피해를 야기하므로 해외국가들은 이미 오래전부터 위험물질 수송차량의 안전관리를 위하여 관련 법 제도를 구축하고 체계적인 관리를 수행해오고 있다. 최근 국내에는 인제양양터널, 금정산터널 등 10km이상의 초 장대터널이 고속도로 상에 개통되고 있으며, 화학기술의 발전과 함께 다양한 종류의 위험물질 유통량이 증가하고 있다. 그러나 위험물질 수송차량 안전운행과 관련된 법 제도는 여전히 부재하며, 이들을 관리하기 위한 체계적인 정책방안도 구체화되지 않은 실정이다. 위험물질 수송차량의 사고위험성을 인식하고, 도로관리자를 위한 체계적 관리방안을 구축하여 도로 안전성을 확보하는 것은 중요한 과제이다. 따라서 본 연구는 안전한 고속도로 위험물질 수송차량 운행을 위하여 국내 고속도로 터널통행규제에 대한 타당성을 분석함으로써 도로관리자를 위한 관리 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 도로 위험물질 수송차량 관련 법 개정과 위험물질수송차량 최적경로 도출을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Damage Monitoring of Concrete With Acoustic Emission Method for Nuclear Waste Storage: Effect of Temperature and Water Immersion

  • The acoustic emission (AE) is proposed as a feasible method for the real-time monitoring of the structural damage evolution in concrete materials that are typically used in the storage of nuclear wastes. However, the characteristics of AE signals emitted from concrete structures subjected to various environmental conditions are poorly identified. Therefore, this study examines the AE characteristics of the concrete structures during uniaxial compression, where the storage temperature and immersion conditions of the concrete specimens varied from 15℃ to 75℃ and from completely dry to water-immersion, respectively. Compared with the dry specimens, the water-immersed specimens exhibited significantly reduced uniaxial compressive strengths by approximately 26%, total AE energy by approximately 90%, and max RA value by approximately 70%. As the treatment temperature increased, the strength and AE parameters, such as AE count, AE energy, and RA value, of the dry specimens increased; however, the temperature effect was only minimal for the immersed specimens. This study suggests that the AE technique can capture the mechanical damage evolution of concrete materials, but their AE characteristics can vary with respect to the storage conditions.

적정 포장설계를 위한 과실의 유통 중 진동의 계측 및 분석 (Vibration Measurement and Analysis During Fruits Distribution for Optimum Packaging Design)

  • The freight vehicle is mostly used to transport the fruit. Shock and impact generated by the freight vehicle may give serious damage to fruits hence to reduce the fruits damage, the optimum packaging design during transportation by vehicle is required. In order to design the packaging system for fruit transportation optimally, the comprehension of characteristic for vibration and shock acting on vehicles under various road conditions and loading methods is required. This research was performed to analyze the shock characteristics, acceleration level and power spectral density (PSD) of the fruit transportation vehicles under several travel roads and positions. The vibration signal was measured and analyzed at the transportation vehicle operating on the road of three different surface conditions. The maximum acceleration was measured at the rear-end of the vehicle, and the acceleration in the direction of up-and-down (z-axis) was much greater than those in the directions of back-and-forth (x-axis) or right-and-left (y-axis). The peak acceleration in the direction of up-and-down (z-axis) at the vehicle driving on the expressway, the local road paved with concrete, and unpaved local road were 5.3621 G, 8.232 G, and 14.162 G respectively. PSD at 2.44 Hz showed maximum value at all road conditions. The maximum values of PSD on the expressway, a local road paved with concrete, and unpaved local road were 0.0075222 $G^2/Hz$, 0.058655 $G^2/Hz$, and 0.24598 $G^2/Hz$ respectively. The value of PSD decreased with an increase of the vibration frequency of the transportation vehicle. In most cases, the vibration frequency was below 20 Hz during transportation.
