서울지하철 9호선 2단계 개통에 따른 급행열차 선택 및 혼잡도 변화분석 (Express Train Choice and Load Factor Analysis as Line Extension in Seoul Metro 9)

  • 본 연구에서는 교통카드자료를 기반으로 한 김경민 외[1]의 승객경로추적 방법을 이용하여 서울지하철 9호선 2단계 개통에 따른 급행열차 선택에 대한 변화를 분석하였다. 분석결과 2단계 개통 전과 비교하였을 때, 1단계 구간 기존 승객들의 급행열차 선택 비율은 변하지 않음을 확인하였다. 개통 전 후로 나누어 각각에 대한 다항로짓모형을 개발하였고 개통 전 후 모형의 전이성을 확인하였다. 하지만, 급행열차에 대한 선택이 높은 장거리 승객의 증가로 인해 2단계 개통 후 급행열차의 혼잡도가 약 6.7% 상승하였고 일반열차와의 혼잡도 차이는 증가하였다.

광역철도 노선의 급행화 가능성에 대한 기술적 검토 (Technical Study on Possibility of an Express Service Wide Area Railway)

  • 기존 수도권 광역철도는 운행시간이 많이 걸리는 완행 위주의 운행을 하기 때문에 통행시간 측면에서 타 교통수단과의 경쟁력이 저하되고 있는 실정이고, 도로교통을 철도로 유인하는데 한계가 있기 때문에 급행열차 운행을 확대 운영해야 한다는 사회적 요구가 지속되고 있다. 특히 수도권 북부와 수도권 남서부 방면은 대도시 생활권 확대로 광역교통수요 증대에 따른 교통 혼잡 가중 및 통행시간 증가 등 사회적 비용이 과다 발생되고 있어 서울도심을 연결하는 급행 기능의 대중교통망체계가 필요하다. 국내에서 가장 효율적으로 급행화를 운행하는 노선은 서울지하철 9호선이며, 김포공항에서 고속터미널까지 27분 소요됨으로써 완행 44분 대비 약 40% 시간 단축 효과가 있고 혼잡도가 최대 240%에 달할 만큼 이용객의 선호도가 상당히 높다. 본 연구의 기술적 결과들은 광역철도의 급행화 방안의 수행을 위해 기여할 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.

  • In internationalization age, growth plan of a railway have to research with the opening of a train express and connection with a transcontinental railway. Especially, in the opening of a train express, the North Korea is located in an important place. So the North Korea must research for growth of railway of the South Korea. This study make an investigation the present condition of railway of the North Korea into a report, paper, article etc.. And then, it make a comparative study with a case study of Germany. Then, a policy object, have to be stand at the head in the opening of a train express, exhibited.

인천 국제공항철도 차량의 실내소음 분석 (Analysis of Interior Noise for Incheon International Airport Railroad)

  • Airport express line between InCheon international airport and KimPo has been started in April 2007. It has two kinds of train that are divided into commuter train and express. In this paper, we analysis the experimental results of the interior noise for both trains, as inside structure and materials of these trains are designed differently. It shows that the interior noise level of commuter train is higher about 10 dB(A) than express in open territory, and it in tunnel and viaduct increase by 7$\sim$12dB(A) compared with open territory. Also, we know that the door in the gangway is effective in protecting the rolling noise transmitted between carbodys from the outside.

  • Tilting system allow the train to pass curve at higher speed without affecting passenger comfort. As the tilting trains offer the optimum means of providing faster and more comportable rail service with minimum of environmental disturbance and capital investment, more than 14 countries have now adopted or are about to adopt tilting train technology. The Korean National Railroad is also planing to apply faster tilting train to the areas where the High speed rail service are not provided. This paper shows the concept design of Bogie and Tilting system for 180 km/h Express tilting train for Korean conventional line, which was done as a part of the KNR's R&D project.

  • This paper dealt with a component test of train control and management system(TMS) developed for korean tilting train express(TTX). This system that is established on TTX monitors and controls action of various devices by running of the train. Also, to performance estimation of the TMS, it is essential to verify a composition and function of TMS. Therefore, this study reviewed standards related on a component test of the TMS and confirmed test items, test conditions and evaluation basis on a Component Test. Running Test of TTX can verify performance of TMS and communications with other devices and secure reliability of TMS.

Express Train Seat Discomfort Evaluation using Body Pressure and Anthropometric Data

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate Korea's Honam express train's first- and second-class seat discomfort by using pressure measurement, subjective discomfort rating, and physical compatibility. Background: Over the years, the demand for an express train service is continually increasing. A comfortable ride is important to achieving passenger satisfaction. A train seat plays a significant role in fulfilling passenger seating comfort. With this in view, a field survey and pressure measurements were performed on the selected train seat. Method: The pressure ratio at the body-seat interface (thigh and buttock regions) was measured by the pressure mat system. The interface pressure ratio was calculated and compared. The subjective discomfort rating scale was used to evaluate the subjects' overall feeling. The dimensions of train seats were analysed according to the anthropometric and demographic characteristics of the population data from Size Korea. Results: The results highlighted that the interface pressure ratio was greater while participants sat on the second-class seat than the first-class seat in the left- and right-side thigh regions. Also the pressure ratio was greater for the participants in the 1st~25th percentile height groups (149.8~160.8cm). The subjects rated higher discomfort for the second-class seat than the first-class seat. The physical compatibility results showed that the second-class seat's breadth was inadequate for the 95th and 99th percentile male. Conclusion: Overall, interface pressure measurement, subjective discomfort score and physical compatibility results showed that the second-class seat was more uncomfortable for the passengers than the first-class seat. Application: The adopted methodologies could be used to measure the seating comfort of the train seats.

KTX 기장의 직무부하 경감을 위한 운전업무 개선 방안에 대한 연구 (A study on the improvement of operation process to lighten duty-load of the critical tasks of KTX train driver)

  • This study suggest a way to improve duty process of KTX(Korea Train Express) high-speed train driver. A new operating system which based on safety was introduced to operate high-speed train which travel above 300km/h on the high-speed railroad but below 200km/h on the general railroad. There were some studies on the operation of high-speed train which travel on the high-speed railroad and on the general railroad with safety. However they overlooked the elements of human errors. The duty-load of KTX train driver's 14 basic operation processes was measured using NASA-TLX and found four processes with high duty-load. In this paper, critical tasks of the high duty-load processes are determined using a questionnaire. Some suggestions which include the improvement of facilities, operating system and operating skill are proposed to lighten duty-load of the critical tasks. The validity of the proposed new task processes is demonstrated by making question to KTX train driver. To use this results cost-benefit analysis, hazards analysis etc. should be performed additionally.

한국형 틸팅열차 운행 중 운전 모드에 따른 고조파 분석 및 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Harmonic Analysis and Evaluation According to Operating Mode During Operation of the Tilting Train Express)

  • Recently, the new Korean Tilting Train Express(TTX) which maintains a speed on the curve railway line is developed. Electric railways, including the TTX, have electrical problems that could bring about serious accidents. For such reasons, the electric railway's electrical problems, electrical harmonic and others, have been studied briskly. Thus, TTX's electrical problems also need leading studies because the new Korean TTX will operate earnestly in 2012. The results could be used hereafter diagnosis of it's components and train conditions. In the paper, electrical signals in TTX operation were measured to analyze electrical harmonic. In addition, after the electrical signals were measured to operating mode (coasting mode, acceleration mode and regenerative breaking mode) respectively in test section(Ho-nam line, Chung-buk line, Jung-ang line and Tae-baek line). The electrical harmonics considered operating modes triparted were analysed and evaluated.

  • With the historical opening of the express rail, Korea has joined the league of France, Japan, Germany and Spain and entered into the super high-speed train era. Opening of the express rail will not only bring about enormous changes to the lives of Koreans, but it will also have a huge influence on the economic, social and cultural aspects of the country. With construction of the Seoul - Busan KTX line, railway passenger transportation capacity and freight transportation capacity will increase. Fast, safe, convenient and environmentally friendly, the express rail is a product of the latest technology and will secure its position as the newest and most preferred method of transportation for the next generation. As the traffic noise, train noise from KTX will become a social problems with the acceleration of speed and increase in the lines. In order to predict the train noise propagation from KTX, this paper presents the sound source system, the calculation model and the scale model experiment. Noise level unit patterns of a KTX that take the rolling noise, the motor noise and aerodynamic noise into consideration are simulated by the scale model experiment and numerical analysis.
