This paper presents a light exposure correction algorithm for less pleasant images, acquired with a light metering failure. Since conventional tone mapping and gamma correction methods adopt a function mapping with the same range of input and output, the results are pleasurable for almost symmetric distributions to their intensity average. However, their corrections gave insufficient outputs for asymmetric cases at either bright or dark regions. Also, histogram modification approaches show good results on varied pattern images, but these generate unintentional noises at flat regions because of the compulsive shift of the intensity distribution. Therefore, in order to sufficient corrections for both bright and dark areas, the proposed algorithm calculates the gamma coefficients using primary parameters extracted from the global distribution. And the fusion weights are adaptively determined with complementary parameters, considering the classification information of a binary segmentation. As the result, the proposed algorithm can obtain a good output about both the symmetric and the asymmetric distribution images even with severe exposure values.
In this paper, a HDR algorithm for a single image is proposed using the exposure fusion, that adaptively calculates gamma correction coefficients according to the image distribution. Since typical HDR methods should use at least three images with different exposure values at the same scene, the main problem was that they could not be applied at the single shot image. Thus, HDR enhancements based on a single image using tone mapping and histogram modifications were recently presented, but these created some location-specific noises due to improper corrections. Therefore, the proposed algorithm calculates proper gamma coefficients according to the distribution of the input image and generates different exposure images which are corrected by the dark and the bright region stretching. A HDR image reproduction controlling exposure fusion weights among the gamma corrected and the original pixels is presented. As the result, the proposed algorithm can reduce certain noises at both the flat and the edge areas and obtain subjectively superior image quality to that of conventional methods.
Due to the popularity of digital cameras, there are lots of studies based on ISP(Image Signal Process) and the image correction applications which can easily use for users are being developed. Specially AWB(Automatic White Balance) and Auto exposure are the most interesting fields in ISP function, and they are well used to increase the quality of image. Principles of camera and lighting in 3D program are made based on real camera and lighting. But the functions of automatic exposure and AWB Which are operated in real camera don't work in 3D program. The color correction of images need expertise, it is true that the functions of compositing program are more difficult than the general correction way of digital image. Specially in case of students who studies animation at the university, they make the animation with compositing and rendering without color correction. Thus this research proposed 3D image making process which make to increase the quality of animation, even though the layman can easily correct the color using functions of digital image correction.

Among deteriorations of concrete due to environmental exposure, carbonation problems of concrete structures have increased in urban and underground structures. But conventional carbonation-prediction equations that were proposed by foreign references, can not be applied directly to the prediction of carbonation for domestic concrete structures. The purpose of this study is to propose a prediction equation of carbonation depth by considering domestic exposure conditions of concrete structures. For the derivation of the equation, conventional carbonation-prediction equations are analyzed. Through considering the relationship between results of prediction equation and those of various domestic field survey data, the so-called correction factors for different domestic exposure condition of concrete structures are derived. Finally, a carbonation-prediction equation of concrete structures under domestic exposure conditions is proposed with consideration for concrete strength in core and correction factors.

Ionization chambers often exhibit a stem effect, caused by interactions of radiation with air near the chamber end, or with dielectric in the chamber stem or cable. In this study measured stem effect correction factor for length of ionization chamber from medical linear accelerator recommend to with the use of stem correction method. For a model of the Farmer-type chamber, were used to calculate the beam quality correction factor. These interactions contribute to the apparent measured exposure. Additionally, it needs to consider ionization chamber use of small volume and stem effect of cable by a large field. Linear accelerator generated photons energy and increased dose repeatedly measured by using stem correction method. Stem effect was dependence of the energy and increases with photon energy conditions improved of beam quality. In conclusion, stem effect correction factor was measured within 0.4% calculated according to the exposures stem length and also supposed to determined below 1% of another stem correction method.
Radiographic units have changeable factors in x-ray outputs, Therefore, an exposure factor by basic experimental study must be made out about each x-ray installation, but this is very intricate methods and not a practical business. Authors tried out a new method to make simple exposure factors. The first, we had a experimental object radiograph taken to find the output of each radiographic unit. The second, by obtained x-ray density we found the difference in x-ray output. and lastly, we made a new and simple correction method to use the obtained output and x-ray density.
Level 3 probabilistic safety assessment (PSA) is performed to calculate radionuclide concentrations and exposure dose resulting from nuclear power plant accidents. To calculate the external exposure dose from the released radioactive materials, the radionuclide concentrations are multiplied by two factors of dose coefficient and a finite cloud dose correction factor (FCDCF), and the obtained values are summed. This indicates that a standard set of FCDCFs is required for external exposure dose calculations. To calculate a standard set of FCDCFs, the effective distance from the release point to the receptor along the wind direction should be predetermined. The TID-24190 document published in 1968 provides equations to calculate FCDCFs and the resultant standard set of FCDCFs. However, it does not provide any explanation on the effective distance required to calculate the standard set of FCDCFs. In 2021, Sandia National Laboratories (SNLs) proposed a method to predetermine finite effective distances depending on the atmospheric stability classes A to F, which results in six standard sets of FCDCFs. Meanwhile, independently of the SNLs, the authors of this paper discovered that an infinite effective distance assumption is a very reasonable approach to calculate one standard set of FCDCFs, and they implemented it into the multi-unit radiological consequence calculator (MURCC) code, which is a post-processor of the level 3 PSA codes. This paper calculates and compares short- and long-range FCDCFs calculated using the TID-24190, SNLs method, and MURCC method, and explains the strength of the MURCC method over the SNLs method. Although six standard sets of FCDCFs are required by the SNLs method, one standard sets of FCDCFs are sufficient by the MURCC method. Additionally, the use of the MURCC method and its resultant FCDCFs for level 3 PSA was strongly recommended.

In case of minimized digital camera and mobile digital camera, it's difficult to get the high quality image by conventional AE(Auto Exposure) algorithm because of restriction of system organization. In this paper, a new algorithm that adopts a target setting, a compensation of feedback delay and a gamma correction, etc, are suggested for improving a noise increase and an output sensitivity decrease due to system minimization. We also suggest a method using fuzzy logic which can decide more effectively the ES(Electric Shutter) value and the AGC(Analog Gain Control) value than conventional system.
Measurement of Co-60 gamma rays has been made for establishment of exposure standard and analyze it's overall uncertainties. Exposure rate determined by the charge mode method using vibrating reed amplifier with cylinderical type cavity chamber. The values of a variety of physical constants and the correction factors are evaluated. The resulting exposure rate is 690.81 R/h at the distance of 1m from the source and the related uncertainties is ${\pm}0.8%$
This research, sponsored by the Korean Ministry of Environment in 2014, was the first epidemiological study in Korea that investigated the health impact assessment of radon exposure. Its purpose was to construct a model that calculated the annual mean cumulative radon exposure concentrations, so that reliable conclusions could be drawn from environment-control group research. Radon causes chronic lung cancer. Therefore, the long-term measurement of radon exposure concentration, over one year, is needed in order to develop a health impact assessment for radon. Hence, based on the seasonal correction model suggested by Pinel et al.(1995), a predictive model of annual mean radon concentration was developed using the year-long seasonal measurement data from the National Institute of Environmental Research, the Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety, the Hanyang University Outdoor Radon Concentration Observatory, and the results from a 3-month (one season) survey, which is the official test method for radon measurement designated by the Korean Ministry of Environment. In addition, a model for evaluating the effective annual dose for radon was developed, using dosimetric methods. The model took into account the predictive model for annual mean radon concentrations and the activity characteristics of the residents.
