  • The purpose of this study was to get a possibility of maintenance architecture, which present instead of contemporary architecture through interrelation between Organic architecture and Gaia theory. Through this study to fine a interrelation part between Organic architecture and Gaia Theory as general case, and through the Gaia theory, Organic architecture being progress as new design experiment exposition. After modern time, we can have presentation of main subject which corresponds to mechanical rationalism and rising Organic architecture from Organic Holism. Organic architecture is get close to biological or ecological access to nature and environment so from and inner order could apply to architecture after that better circumstances and maintenance(sustain architecture) development could possible, although the point became more importance. In this point, Jim E. Lovelock's Gagia theory which try to proscript relationship(element of enviroment) of earth, this is pretty big deal and we can find a connection with Organic architecture in the theory.

Okakura Kakuzō's Art History: Cross-Cultural Encounters, Hegelian Dialectics and Darwinian Evolution

  • Okakura Kakuz$\bar{o}$ (1863-1913), the founder of the Japan Art Institute, is best known for his proclamation, "Asia is One." This phrase in his book, The Ideals of the East, and his connections to Bengali revolutionaries resulted in Okakura being remembered as one of Japan's foremost Pan-Asianists. He did not, however, write The Ideals of the East as political propaganda to justify Japanese aggression; he wrote it for Westerners as an exposition of Japan's aesthetic heritage. In fact, he devoted much of his life to the preservation and promotion of Japan's artistic heritage, giving lectures to both Japanese and Western audiences. This did not necessarily mean that he rejected Western philosophy and theories. A close examination of his views of both Eastern and Western art and history reveals that he was greatly influenced by Hegel's notion of dialectics and the evolutionary theories proposed by Darwin and Spencer. Okakura viewed cross-cultural encounters to be a catalyst for change and saw his own time as a critical point where Eastern and Western history was colliding, causing the evolution of both artistic cultures.

Security Exposure of RTP packet in VoIP

  • VoIP technology is a technology for exchanging voice or video data through IP network. Various protocols are used for this technique, in particular, RTP(Real-time Transport Protocol) protocol is used to exchange voice data. In recent years, with the development of communication technology, there has been an increasing tendency of services such as "Kakao Voice Talk" to exchange voice and video data through IP network. Most of these services provide a service with security guarantee by a user authentication process and an encryption process. However, RTP protocol does not require encryption when transmitting data. Therefore, there is an exposition risk in the voice data using RTP protocol. We will present the risk of the situation where packets are sniffed in VoIP(Voice over IP) communication using RTP protocol. To this end, we configured a VoIP telephone network, applied our own sniffing tool, and analyzed the sniffed packets to show the risk that users' data could be exposed unprotected.

도심교통소음의 노출시간에 따른 라우드니스 및 어노이언스의 주관적 반응에 대한 연구 (Study on the Subjective Responses of Loudness and Annoyance according to Exposed Time for the Traffic Noise)

  • A study has been conducted to investigate the subjective responses of loudness and annoyance according to the exposed time of urban traffic noise in controlled laboratory environment. To make a closer inspection into psychological response relevant to noise characteristics while varying the time of exposure to noise, the subjects were presented a set of noises with different exposed time and requested to judge spontaneously on a 100-unipolar scale. To be concrete, the subjects were exposed to noises being varied in time from 15 sec up to max. 1,200 sec for the controlled traffic noise sources. So far achieved from laborious tests, it has an importance being on the logarithmic relations of perceived loudness and exposed time, say, it is more increased the perceived loudness in the sorter exposed time than in the longer exposed time. However, the trend is said to be not effective for the case of annoyance. On the other hand, the subjective impressions on relative annoyance of noise is shown to be correlated with the noise characteristics such as loudness (sones), tonality and time with logarithmic scale, the product correlation moment being calculated as $R^{2}=0.99$. The variances to be explained for annoyance assessments through varying the time of exposure were ranged between 30 % and 50% for the exposed time, $27{\sim}37%$ for tonality, and $34{\sim}20%$ for loudness, respectively With these results, hopefully, it can be helpful for those who want to work out an experimental design for evaluating an environmental noise or to quantify any psychological dimensions found in annoyance assessments.

93 대전엑스포 꿈돌이 조각가로보트의 인물형상 측정시스템 (3-D Profile Measurement System of Live Human Faces for the '93 Taejon Expo Kumdori Robot Scupltor)

  • This paper presents the 3-D profile measurement system of live human faces, which was developed specially for 'KUMDORI sculptor robot' of the '93 Taejon Exposition. '93 Taejon EXPO. The basic principle for measurement adopts the slit beam projection which is a method of measuring 3-D surface profiles using geometric optics between the slit beam and the CCD camera. Since the slit beam projection consumes long measuring time, it is unfit to measure the 3-D profiles of living objects as human. Therefore, the projection type slit beam method which consumes short measuring time is newly suggested. And an algorithm to reconstruct the 3-D profile from the deformed images using finite approximated calibration is suggested and practically implemented. The projection type slit beam method was applied to spectators in a period of '93 Taejon EXPO. The measurement results show that the technique is suitable for 3-D face profile measurement on a living body.

맥류의 출수기에 관한 연구 VI. 광질이 대맥의 출수 및 생육에 미치는 영향 (Studies on Heading Date of Wheat and Barley VI. Effects of Light Qualities on Heading and Growth Characteristics of Barley)

  • 맥류재배시 보조조명의 광질이 출수 및 생육에 미치는 영향을 구명하여 맥류세대족진에 이용코자 오월보리, 완주봄쌀보리, 사천6호, 강보리를 공시하여 8시간의 자연일장과 16시간의 보조조명으로 장일처리하였다. 보조조명은 백열등(80W), 청색형광등(80W), 주광생형광등(80W), Biolux 형광등(80W), 백열전구(40W)+청색형광등(40W), 백열전구(40W)+주광색형광등(40W), 백열전구(40W)+Biolux형광등(40W), 자연일장(8시간) 등 8처리구를 두고 15$^{\circ}C$로 조절된 온실에서 본 실험을 수행하였던 바 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 광질에 따라 지엽전개까지 일수는 백열등조명구 또는 백열등 혼합조명구가 가장 짧았고, 품종간에는 사천6호가 가장 짧았다. 2. 이엽전개까지 일수가 가장 짧은 백열등조명구가 출엽속도는 빨랐으나 주간의 엽수와 초장의 일당생장량은 가장 적었으며, 기타 간장 절간장 및 엽면적 등의 생장량도 적었다. 3. 엽위별 엽록소함량은 상위엽일수록 많았고, 지엽전개가 가장 빨랐던 배열등조명구의 하위엽(제1엽, 2엽)의 엽록소함량이 특히 적었다. 4. 지상부 건물중은 품종별 다같이 백열등조명구가 가장 적었으나 천입중은 백열등조명구 또는 Biolux 조명구에서 가장 높았다. 5. 주당입수와 수량은 Biolux 조명구가 가장 많았고 백열등조명구에서 가장 적었다. 6. 출수족진만이 목적일 때는 보조조명 방법으로 지엽이 가장 빨리 출현하는 백열등조명이 바람직하나 출수기와 수량을 다같이 고려한다면 백열등+청색형광등으로 혼합조명하는 것이 가장 좋았다.

국내(國內) 시판중(市販中)인 이유식(離乳食)의 실태연구(實態硏究) (A Comparison Study Of Infant Weaning Food Marketing In Korean)

  • A infancy is the period in that growth and development of man are the most fast and neutrial requirement is the most big on his life. The insufficient neutrition of this period can have bad effect uppon man's whole life health not only physically but also pscychogenically and emotionally. Therefore a proper feeding at a proper time is very important to form the good food behavior and emotional development. The rate of using the commercial weaning food in Korea has gradually increased since 1970 and expected to be more increasing in future. In this paper, I investigate the general weaning status, stneutrial component and material content of infant weaning foods marketing in Korea at present. The material for this study have been collected in the exposition of products and data from manufacturing companies and etc. The conclusion is following. 1. The proper weaning period is from $4{\sim}6$ momth to 12 momth, but recently it is inclined to prolong. 2. In weaning methods, using a spoon is superior to using a bottle in food behavior and neutrial status. 3. The commercial weaning foods have two type, the powder type and formula type, but except gober's, all products marketing in Korea are the powder type and a sort of product is very simple. Therefore it is necessary to develp the more various kind of weaning foods, especially the formula type. 4. In the neutrial component, Son-Sik (flour of grain) cannot be up to international standards and the greater parts of weaning foods have too much suger over the standards.

  • 일반적으로 지형정보는 지도에 의해 취득되어 왔다. 그러나 지도는 실제 지형상태를 등고선, 도형, 기호, 문자, 색 등에 의해 표시하고 있으므로 현장감이 부족하고 판독이 어렵다. 따라서 항공사진이나 지상사진을 이용하여 지형에 대한 분석을 수행하기도 한다. 그러나, 항공사진이나 지상사진의 경우는 촬영시의 사진기의 자세와 대상물의 기복에 따른 기하학적 왜곡을 포함하고 있으므로 정확한 위치를 결정하기가 곤란하다. 따라서 사진 상에서 정확한 위치를 파악할 수 있도록 하기 위해서는 편위수정기에 의해 제작된 정사투영사진도가 이용되기도 한다. 편위수정기에 의한 정사투영사진지도의 제작은 매우 복잡하고 어려우며 필요한 자료를 신속하게 생성하기 곤란한 단점이 있어 널리 이용되지 못하였다. 본 연구에서는 전산기를 이용하여 수치사진측량기법에 의해 입체항공사진으로부터 수치표고모형을 생성하고, 이를 이용하여 정사투영사진지도를 제작하는 방법을 연구하므로서 정사투영사진지도를 보다 정확하고 신속하게 제작하는 방법을 제시하고자 하였다.

Shoes from Pinet to the Present

  • For those unfamiliar with the shoe world, Pinet (1817-1897) was a contemporary of Worth, the great Parisian couturier. So I look at the glamour shoes and the world of haute couture, and indeed the development of the named designer. That is a concept we are all familiar with now. So it is not easy to comprehend the lack of names for the exquisite work before 1850. Straightway I have to say that the number of noted shoe designers is far fewer than famous dress designers, but I will introduce you to some of them, against the background of contemporary shoe fashions. Franc;ois Pinet was born in the provinces (probably Touraine) in 1817, two years after the end of the Napoleonic Wars. His father, an ex-soldier, settled to shoemaking, a comparatively clean and quiet trade. It had a tradition of literacy, interest in politics, and was known as the gentle craft, which attracted intelligent people. We should presume father would be helped by the family. It was usual for a child to begin by the age of 5-6, tying knots, sweeping up, running errands and gradually learning the job. His mother died 1827, and father 1830 when he was 13, and at the time when exports of French shoes were flooding world markets. He went to live with a master shoemaker, was not well treated, and three years later set out on the tour-de- France. He worked with masters in Tours and Nantes, where he was received as Compagnon Cordonnier Bottier du Devoir as Tourangeau-Ia rose dAmour (a name to prove most appropriate). He went on to Bordeaux, where at 19 he became president of the local branch. In 1841 he went to Paris, and in 1848, revolution year, as delegate for his corporation, he managed to persuade them not to go on strike. By now the shoemakers either ran or worked for huge warehouses, and boots had replaced shoes as the main fashion. In 1855 Pinet at the age of 38 set up his own factory, as the first machines (for sewing just the uppers) were appearing. In 1863 he moved to new ateliers and shop at Rue ParadisPoissoniere 44, employing 120 people on the premises and 700 outworkers. The English Womans Domestic Magazine in 1867 records changes in the boots: the soles are now wider, so that it is no longer necessary to walk on the uppers. There is interest in eastern Europe, the Polonaise boots with rosette of cord and tassels and Bottines Hongroises withtwo rows of buttons, much ornamented. It comments on short dresses, and recommends that the chaussure should correspond to the rest of the toilet. This could already be seen in Pinets boots: tassels and superb flower embroidery on the higher bootleg, which he showed in the Paris Exposition that year. I think his more slender and elegant Pinet heel was also patented then or 1868. I found little evidence for colour-matching: an English fashion plate of 1860 shows emerald green boots with a violetcoloured dress.

경복궁 아미산의 조영과 조산설(造山說)에 관한 고찰 (Studies on the Construction and the Artificial Mountain Theory of Amisan in the Gyeongbok Palace)

  • 본 연구는 사료 및 도상자료의 분석을 통하여 경복궁 교태전 북쪽의 아미산 화계가 인공산이라는 기존의 주장을 재검토하고 반론을 제기하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 경회지를 판 흙으로 아미산을 조산했다는 논리는 그간 정설로 여겨졌으며, 의심 없이 대부분의 경복궁 관련 논저와 단행본에서 반복되어 기술되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 사료에서 전혀 발견되지 않는 아미산 조산설에 대해 몇 가지 반론을 제기하였는데, 기존 주장에 내재된 논리적 모순, 경회지 축조시기와 교태전 건립 시점의 불일치, 영조와 고종 연간에 제작된 도형사료에서 나타난 백악산과 아미산을 잇는 산줄기의 존재, 아미산 북쪽에 있는 흥복전에서 동쪽 담장을 경계로 높은 위차를 보이고 통행기능이 없다는 점, 중건 당대에 아미산을 풍수적인 아미사(蛾眉砂)로 인식하고 있는 것과 세종 연간에 경복궁 주산논쟁 결과 조치된 경복궁 내맥의 보존에 관한 주장이 그것이다. 아울러 본 연구에서는 교태전 북쪽의 언덕이 아미산으로 불러지게 된 기원과 잘못된 조산설이 등장하게 된 원인을 규명하였는데, 풍수용어 아미사가 음변되어 아미산이 되었다는 것을 밝히고, 중국 사천에 있는 도불(道佛)성지인 아미산을 모방한 의경의 조성과 천연두신을 퇴치하기 위한 벽사적 의미의 아미산 조영관에 의한 것이라고 판단하였다. 또한 아미산 조산설은 천지조산(穿池造山)식 조경법식을 경회지와 아미산에 소급시킨 것으로 보이며, 1980년대를 전후로 주장이 등장하게 된 것으로 조사 되었다. 백악산과 아미산을 잇는 용맥은 일제가 1915년 경복궁에 개최한 대규모 박람회를 기점으로 상당부분 절토되었으나, 교태전 동북쪽에 위치한 탐방로를 따라 낮은 둔덕이 약 70m 가량 이어져 있어 일제 강점기에 이 지맥이 아주 없어진 것은 아니었던 것으로 판단된다. 또한 표고분석 결과 녹산에서 아미산까지 불연속적인 언덕이 일정한 축을 이루는 것이 발견되어 아미산의 용맥을 대략적으로 가늠해 볼 수 있으며, 이러한 아미산 용맥에 관한 기초연구를 통해 향후 경복궁 지형복원의 주요한 단서를 제공하려 하였다.
