The research on solar energy that we get from nature to cope with energy exhaustion is a very significant and inevitable task for us to do. Along with this, lately, in Korea, as part of new growth engine industry regarding low-carbon green growth, we have selected the LED(Light Emitting Diode) as low power consuming, eco-friendly lighting equipment and have been facilitating research and development on it and creating a variety of new industries utilizing it. What was developed here in this research was the photovoltaic LED lighting system applying lithium polymer batteries equipped with the excellent performance of lithium ion batteries as well as significantly low explosive hazard. Its photovoltaic panel was made to have 100W capacity, and for its power supply system, functional convenience was considered so that it could be equipped with both DC and AC power to be used as household electricity in a variety of ways.
The explosion phenomenon and hazard estimate of LP gas, the study was examined into variation of oxygen concentration and LP gas concentration. As the result of experiment, the lower explosive limit was decreased as the increased at concentration of LP gas and 21% of oxygen concentration. Minimum oxygen concentration was 14.5%. 12.0%, 11.5% at 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 bar respectively. And maximum explosion pressure was increased for $6.46kg/cm^2,\;9.41kg/cm^2\;and\;13.49kg/cm^2$ according to increased of pressure. The speed of flame propagation was increased as the higher with initial pressure of LP gas.
Accidents of dust explosion has been occurred in various industries as a plastics, pharmaceuticals, timber, grain storage, solid fuels and chemicals. In this study, the silo dust, hammer mill dust and Nyusong dust in the manufacturing process of the particle board to utilize west wood, which were selected for this experiment and were evaluated the characteristics of dust explosion. The explosion characteristics such as a maximum explosion pressure, explosion index, lower explosive limit, and minimum ignition energy in suspended dust of the wood by Siwek 20 L apparatus were measured and evaluated for the experiment. The results of this study can be used the process safety measures to prevent accidents of fire and explosion in the suspended dust of wood.
In this study, hazards of decomposition and explosion for tert-butylperoxymaleate(TBPM), an organic peroxide, were evaluated by using various equipment to determine the cause of a fire explosion accident. As a result of DSC analysis, the instantaneous power density of TBPM was 26,401 kW/ml, and the NFPA reactive index(Nr) was classified as 4. And the positive value of EP(explosive propagation) and SS(shock sensitivity) showed that the TBPM had a potential hazard of explosion. From the experimental results, the shock sensitivity and friction sensitivity was rated as class 4 and 5, respectively. In the pressure vessel test, TBPM was ranked USA-PVT No.4 and evaluated as a self-reactive substance. In the combustion rate test, TBPM had the combustion rate of 167 mm/sec and was evaluated as the flammable solid classification 2 in GHS.
With the explosive growth of mobile products industry, tons of newer versions of products are putting on the market. From the marketer's perspective, understanding consumers' replacement purchases, especially the replacement timing, is essential to product planning and selling. This study presents an approach to finding out factors influencing the timing of buyers' replacement purchases of cell phones, using duration analysis; a hazard function specification is applied to describe consumers' replacement timing decision. Based on the data collected from a mobile telecommunication company, five categories of factors have been inspected. These are consumer's innovative service usage, data service usage, voice service usage, participation in loyalty programs, and the demographic characteristics. The results of the study are as follows. Firstly, the positive coefficient of 'the number of related services used' suggests that the consumers who have more usage knowledge tend to replace faster. Secondly, customers participating in the membership service are positively associated with early replacement purchases. Lastly, younger customers(vs. older) and male(vs. female) customers turned out to replace cell phones earlier.

In the event of an emergency such as facility shutdown during process operation, the by-product gas must be urgently discharged to the vent stack to prevent leakage, fire, and explosion. At this time, the explosion drop value of the released by-product gas is calculated using ISO 10156 formula, which is 27.7 vol%. Therefore, it does not correspond to flammable gas because it is less than 13% of the explosion drop value, which is the standard for flammable gas defined by the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and since the explosion drop value is high, it can be seen that the risk of fire explosion is low even if it is discharged urgently with the vent stock. As a result of calculating the range of explosion hazard sites for hydrogen gas discharged to the Bent Stack according to KS C IEC 60079-10-1, 23 meters were calculated. Since hydrogen is lighter than air, electromechanical devices should not be installed within 23 meters of the upper portion of the Bent Stack, and if it is not possible, an explosion-proof electromechanical device suitable for type 1 of dangerous place should be installed. In addition, the height of the stack should be at least 5 meters so that the diffusion of by-product gas is facilitated in case of emergency discharge, and it should be installed so that there are no obstacles around it.
The flammable liquid conductivity is an important factor in determining the generation of electrostatic in fire and explosion hazardous areas, so it is necessary to study the physical properties of flammable liquids. In particular, the relevant liquid conductivity in the process of handling flammable liquids in relation to the risk assessment and risk control in fire and explosion hazard areas, such as chemical plants, is classified as a main evaluation item according to the IEC standard, and it is necessary to have flammable liquid conductivity measuring devices and related data are required depending on the handling conditions of the material, such as temperature and mixing ratio for preventing the fire and explosion related to electrostatic. In addition, IEC 60079-32-2 [Explosive Atmospheres-Part 32-2 (Electrostatic hazards-Tests)] refers to the measuring device standard and the conductivity of a single substance. It was concluded that there is no measurement data according to the handling conditions such as mixing ratio of flammable liquid and temperature together with the use and measurement examples. We have developed the measurement reliability by improving the structure, material and measurement method of measuring device by referring to the IEC standard. We have developed a measurement device that is developed and manufactured by itself. The test results of flammable liquid conductivity measurement and the data of the NFPA 77 (Recommended Practice on Static Electricity) Annex B Table B.2 Static Electric Characteristic of Liquids were compared and verified by conducting the conductivity measurement of the flammable liquid handled in the fire and explosion hazardous place by using Measuring / Data Acquisition / Processing / PC Communication. It will contribute to the prevention of static electricity related disaster by taking preliminary measures for fire and explosion prevention by providing technical guidance for static electricity risk assessment and risk control through flammable liquid conductivity measurement experiment. In addition, based on the experimental results, it is possible to create a big data base by constructing electrostatic physical characteristic data of flammable liquids by process and material. Also, it is analyzed that it will contribute to the foundation composition for adding the specific information of conductivity of flammable liquid to the physical and chemical characteristics of MSDS.

The recent increase in international trade volume and explosive increase in cargo volume due to the non-face-to-face society are leading to an increase in risk exposure and safety accidents in the port logistics industry. Consequently, as the atmosphere and consensus on safety are spreading throughout the society, various safety laws are being enacted by the industry. Nevertheless, according to the industrial accidents status analysis by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the average annual number of injured persons increased by 11.1% and the number of deaths by 4.0% from 2015 to 2019. This means that special attention should be paid to possible future risks and preventive measures for major causes of accidents should be established. Therefore, in this study, risk assessment was conducted based on 5,028 accident cases that were reported by the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency for 5 years, from 2016 to 2020, and major risk factors for each industry were derived, and then bow-tie analysis was conducted to perform the risk assessment; Further, the study aimed to derive the causes and preventive measures from the risk factors.
Formaldehyde is used in lether manufacture, a dry plate and an explosive. It is by-product of ozonizing process in filtration plant. The effects of exposure are eye pruritus, tickle, runing nose, blocking nasal passages and headache. It also makes a dried throat and causes inflammation. It is classified as B1 group for inhalation by US. EPA, which can cause cancer in human. For analysis of formaldehyde, formaldehydes-DNPH derivative was extracted with solid cartridge and was analyzed by High Performance Liquid Chromatography/Diode Array Detector (HPLC/DAD). The detection limit was $3{\mu}g/L$ and the recoveries were 72.3~109.1% (RSD 2.9~11.5%). Water samples were collected in four Korean rivers, four times per year seasonally for 10 years from 1998 to 2007. The monitoring results were 48.8% (630/1291), $5.15{\sim}101.9{\mu}g/L$ in purified water. Because of non-carcinogen in drinking water, hazard index is calculated with RfD. Results of excess cnacer risk was below 1 and was considered as safe value.

Recently, Recently, the increase in international trade volume and the explosive increase in cargo volume due to the non-face-to-face society are leading to an increase in risk exposure and safety accidents in the port industry. In addition, as the Serious Disaster Punishment Act came into effect on January 27, 2021, various guidelines and laws to protect safety and life in port terminals are being enacted. However, despite these efforts, medium-to-large safety accidents in the port terminal industry continue to occur. According to the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, from 2016 to 2019, the number of casualties in the port handling industry increased by 4.2%. For effective follow-up management of port accidents or the preparation of related safety laws/systems, a risk analysis in consideration of the cause and damage of the accident must be conducted first, so that realistic accident reduction and prevention measures can be established. Therefore, in this study, major risk factors and preventive measures were derived by conducting risk assessment based on 1,039 cases of port terminal accidents collected by the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency for 5 years from 2016 to 2022. After that, the priorities for preventive measures were determined through IPA analysis, Borich needs analysis, and The Locus For Focus analysis.
