This study surveyed people with hearing impairments and speech defect living in an area of Gyeonggi-do using a self-administered questionnaire and interviewed them with a deaf interpreter's help during the period from January 21 to February 14, 2009 in order to investigate their oral health management attitude according to their general characteristics. The difference between males and females was statistically significant. The results of this study were as follows. 1. As to the number of times of tooth brushing according to gender, 62.5% of males and 34.2% of females brushed their teeth 2 times, and 25.0% and 35.4% 3 times. 2. As to experiences in scaling according to Academic qualification, those with high academic qualification had scaling more regularly 3. As to tooth brushing methods according to cohabitant, the rolling method was most common regardless of cohabitant. As to the number of times of tooth brushing according to residence type, 41.9% of those living with their parents brushed their teeth 3 times, and 69.2% of those living alone and 47.5% of married ones 2 times. 4. With regard to how to access oral hygiene management education, 81.1% of elementary school graduates used multimedia materials and sign language explanation and captions, 48.6% of middle school graduates used multimedia materials and sign language explanation and 14.3% multimedia materials and captions, 50.0% of high school graduates used multimedia materials and sign language explanation and 17.3% multimedia materials and captions. The parish for the buccal cavity hygiene managements of the hearing impairments speech defect and Development of an educational program are needed.
A defect on the product safety display is defined by a failure to prevent the damage caused by the inappropriate explanation, direction, and caution to warn the users of the related risks. In other words, it lacks the sufficient instructions or caution for proper use and is unable to furnish the possible danger of the product and the instructions to deal with it. The defect is the responsibility of the manufacturers who are supposed to provide the adequate information so as to prevent injuries of the users. However, in order to prove the product safety display defective, there should be a comprehensive consideration in many different ways such as social norms (such as property and expectation of the product), usage form, indication of the expected risk, and awareness of consumer about the harm and possibility of avoidance of danger. The purpose of this research is to propose the content and types of standardized indication of safety in the industrial product by collecting and analyzing domestic safety information.
Lee, Sang-Hyuk(1810-\ulcorner) explained application problems which can be represented as the equation of degree 1 or 2 in the chapter of 'Myun-Lyu' of his book 'Cha-Geun-Bang-Mong-Gu.' Mainly he dealt with the various questions which looks for the length of right triangle and square. After they are expressed in the equation, all of them has terms on both side of equality sign and they have solution as integer. The explanation of each question describes the procedure to make the equation in detail, but only presents the solution with few step to solve.
Lee, Sang-Hyuk(1810-\ulcorner) said that Cha-Geun-Bang means algebra come from the West. In the chapter 'Che-Lyu' of the second volume of his book Cha-Geun-Bang-Mong-Gu, he gave the list of questions which could be expressed by the equation of one variable and explained the solution for them. All questions were formulated by equations of degree 2, 3, 4 which have terms on both sides of equal sign and they mostly have natural number solutions. The explanation of each question describes the procedure to make the equation in detail, but only presents the solution with few step to solve.

Purpose: This study aims to provide a way to improve hospital satisfaction through improvement of hospital bulletins based on the analysis of the actual condition of hospital bulletins and satisfaction analysis for patients. Methods: First, a case study is conducted. After setting the analysis items based on previous studies and case study, a satisfaction survey is conducted on patients and statistical analysis is performed. Results: As a result of factor analysis, factors were classified into four categories: legibility, visibility, effectiveness, and frequency. As a result of the importance analysis through multiple regression analysis of four factors affecting hospital satisfaction, the importance of the "legibility" factor was the highest, followed by the "frequency", "effectiveness", and "visibility". As a result of the satisfaction analysis of the bulletins in the study site, the "visibility" factor was the highest, followed by "legibility", "effectiveness", and "frequency". Implications: In order to improve hospital satisfaction, the improvement of factors of high importance should be considered first. In other words, in hospital bulletins, legibility and frequency should be considered first. In addition, hospital satisfaction can be maximized by improving the level of factors and variables that are low in the satisfaction survey by factor.
Background: The Life-Sustaining Treatment Decision-Making Act has allowed anyone aged 19 or older to sign an Advance Directive not to receive life-sustaining treatment when they are in the 'death process'. Recently, the Korean Pharmaceutical Association announced to raise awareness of the Advance Directive to the general public through community pharmacies across the country. This study aimed to investigate the public's willingness to accept pharmacist's consultation regarding the Advance Directive and to present future directions to pharmacists Methods: This cross-sectional questionnaire study using 16-items was conducted in adults, Study subjects were recruited by convenience sampling method during August 5-15, 2020. Results: Of 460 respondents, 51.7% were younger than 30-year-old and 58.7% were not in the healthcare field in terms of job or major. 60.2% knew about the Advance Directive and 81.7% agreed the necessity to sign when healthy. 50.0% had the willingness to consult with pharmacists on the Advance Directive for well-dying and 80.4% preferred verbal explanation together with written information. Simple linear regression analysis results showed a significant relationship between trust in pharmacists or satisfaction with pharmacist's communication and willingness to use pharmacist' consultation on the Advance Directive (1-point increases in values measured on a five-point scale are associated with 0.464 and 0.486 increases, respectively.) Conclusion: This study suggests that pharmacists need to improve the public's trust and communication capability to satisfy with public's demands on well-dying service.
Phenomena experienced by all individuals and cultural interpretation of such phenomena seem to be irrelevant to the change of time. The subject dream to be discussed in this study is one of them. Nevertheless, people's attitude of understanding dreams in the past is obviously different from the contemporary one, and the interpretation of dreams reveals the science of the corresponding age. Bishop Daveluy, a missionary to Chosun in the mid 19th century, observed Korean people's hardly understandable response to dreams. According to his explanation, Chosun people regarded what they saw in a dream as a fact. It might have been quite long that a dream is regarded as a sign of the future. However, how a dream can be a sign of the future is explained different according to the science of the corresponding age. Many records on dreams since the late Koryo Dynasty and the early Chosun Dynasty did not give satisfactory answers to this question. However, new interpretations of dreams were attempted occasionally in the process that the Sung Confucian view of nature in the Chosun Dynasty was being matured. One of such interpretations is that a dream is obviously a phenomenon of human cognition and there is a rule behind dreams. I t was believed that the rule is a flow of energy defined by reason penetrating through the past, the present and the future and, as a consequence, dreams are future oriented. The view that a dream is a phenomenon with a causal relation is observed more specifically in medicine. I t was understood basically as a pathological phenomenon but, at the same time, a substance in an organic relation with the human body. In addition, it was understood as the results of facts (physiological and pathological processes) experienced by the body in the past and the sign of diseases in the future. However, from the viewpoint of contemporary science based on empirical rationalism, such foreseeability is fundamentally unacceptable. In contemporary science, in which scientific analysis of phenomena has to be of the past tense, dreams exist as the representations of the past. What Bishop Daveluy saw in Korean people was a phenomenon observed when the pre modern met the modern as pre modern people's life and idea were viewed from a modern people's eye.
Though implant treatment is considered as a common treatment option for edentulous patients, there have been few studies on the temporomandibular disorder (TMD) related with implant treatment. The purposes of this study were to evaluate the relevance of TMD to the implant patients and to evaluate the risk factors of TMD in relation with implant treatment. For the evaluation of various risk factors of TMD in relation with implant therapy, clinical evaluation focused on patient factors and implant factors. From a group of 694 patients, 25 patients (3.6 %) were included in this study. The majority of the patients were included in the asymptomatic 'adaptive' group. Parafunction was detected in 11 patients, 8 patients were male. Four patients having parafunction showed complications such as implant failure or fracture of the suprastructure. From the results, it is possible that TMJ related symptoms are developed or aggravated after implant therapy, which requires relatively more chair time; so TMJ examination should be included in the pre-operative evaluation for dental implant patients. Also, it is important to treat patients after they sign an informed consent that includes a detailed explanation on the possibility of TMD during treatment.
It has been shown that bilateral decrease of point H4,5,6 in Ryodoraku test is related with gastric dysmotility. This suggested that the system of Kyung-Rak related with anatomical gastric disease may not be the Stomach Meridian, in the view that the system of Kyung-Rak is similar to that of Ryodoraku, and which was not consistent with classical contents of Kyung-Rak principle. Therefore, this paper was done to investigate whether bilateral decrease of point H4,5,6 is a general sign of common gastric disease in Ryodoraku test and to study its relation between Kyung-Rak principle and autonomic nervous system as a mediator explaining Ryodoraku response. As shown in the results of this study, different electrical response of Ryodoraku between patients with dyspepsia of gastric dysmotility and gastric ulcer revealed discrepancy of location indicating anatomical stomach between Kyung-Rak principle and Ryodoraku and instability of explanation of autonomic nerve theory to Ryodoraku. Thus, it presented the possibility that artificial application of Kyung-Rak principle against Ryodoraku may destroy its originality in the clinical field. To correctly use Ryodoraku in the diagnosis or evaluation of disease, Ryodoraku test should be used according to Nakatani's suggestion and clinical indication of which is limited to the diseases complicated with dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system.
Elementary students are tend to depend heavily on visual informations in the cognitive process. Thus, elementary science textbooks provide science contents mostly by inscriptions, the visual materials, with little verbal information in the limited page area. Especially, since the textbooks include many accompanying inscriptions rather than a basic inscription, it is very important to understand the relationships among many inscriptions in teaching and leaning science. Therefore, this study analyzed the status and characteristics of accompanying inscriptions used. in elementary science textbooks, and classified them according to their functions. As results, we found six types of the accompanying inscriptions such as inner part, detail, result, process, emphasis, and explanation. Accompanying inscriptions were used more frequently in the lower grade (3rd and 4th grades) than the higher grade (5th and 6th grades). We discussed the examples of each type in detail, and thus revealed some possible difficulties in understanding inscriptions caused by the inconsistency of the directions of the basic inscription and accompanying inscription, and by the absence of the sign linking the basic and accompanying inscriptions.
