Purpose: This study was to develop the clinical competency evaluation, and to examine the effects of the developed evaluation by comparing it with existing evaluation on clinical competency, communication skill, and self-efficacy of nursing students. Methods: Design was a randomized control group post-test design. The subjects were 102 senior nursing students(Experimental group: 48, Control group: 54) at K university in seoul, Korea. The experimental group took the clinical competency evaluation using standardized patients and the control group took the existing evaluation using a doll. The clinical competency and communication skills were measured by evaluators, and self-efficacy was self reported by the nursing students. Results: The experimental group had higher scores in clinical competency, communication skills, and self-efficacy than those in the control group. Conclusion: Through these results, practice education of nursing education programs need to activate the clinical competency evaluation using standardized patients.

This study set off to explore the effect of interactive videos on developing mind mappings skills required for the common first-joint year students at Umm Al-Qura University. Towards this end, the experimental research design of a quasi-experimental of two experimental groups was adopted. The research tools consisted of an achievement test of the cognitive aspects of mind mapping skills and a product evaluation form of mind mapping skills. Results showed statistically significant differences at the significance level (α 0.05) between the mean scores of the two experimental groups who studied the educational video regardless of the type of video in the pre-post cognitive test of the mind mapping skills and the form of product evaluation. Besides, there are statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05≥α) between the mean scores of the first experimental group who studied the conventional educational video and the mean scores of the second experimental group who studied the interactive educational video. This significant difference was in the posttest of mind mapping skills and in favor of the group who studied the interactive educational video. Nevertheless, there were no statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05≥α) between the mean scores of the first and second experimental groups in the post-application of the product evaluation form of mind mapping skills. The researcher recommended using the interactive video in teaching courses to common first-year students. It also recommends organizing courses for the faculty members to train them on using interactive videos in their teaching.

본 연구의 목적은 리브로 수직 보강된 강판-콘크리트 벽체(SSC벽체)의 구조적 거동을 실험적으로 조사하고 실험결과와 평가식에 의한 결과를 비교하여 평가식의 적정성을 평가하며 SSC벽체 설계기준의 설계식을 제정하기 위한 자료를 제시하는 것이다. 휨과 전단력을 받는 SSC시험체를 제작, 실험하고 그 결과를 분석하였다. SSC시험체의 거동은 리브가 없는 USC시험체의 거동과 유사하게 나타나 리브의 영향은 무시할 수 있으며 SSC벽체의 양면에 있는 강판에 의한 콘크리트의 구속효과는 무시할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 실험결과와 평가식을 비교한 결과 전단의 지배가 큰 시험체는 평가식과 매우 유사하게 나타났으며 휨의 영향이 큰 SSC시험체의 실험결과는 평가식과 다소 차이를 보였다. 원전구조물의 벽체는 전단력이 크게 작용하고 면내 휨모멘트의 영향이 작으므로 현재 개발된 SC벽체의 평가식을 SSC벽체의 설계에 적용할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.

In network-based control system, measurement and control information is delivered by the network messages. Therefore, the performance of control system is directly affected by the performance of network system. System engineers need to evaluate the performance of network system to maintain the entire system in stable condition. BACnet is an international standard data communication protocol especially designed for building automation and control systems. In this study, experimental performance evaluation methodologies of BACnet MS/TP protocol and their practical evaluation results are presented.

To restore an earthquake damaged community as quickly as possible, well-prepared reconstruction strategy is most essential. This paper reports experimental data on the seismic capacity of diagonal reinforced HPFRCC coupling beams with the Japanese Standard for Seismic Evaluation of Existing RC Buildings. Precast Based on the experimental results, HPFRCC specimen have more residual seismic capacity than RC specimen, but much study is necessary to improve the accuracy of the damage evaluation.

본 연구에서는 고층건물 구조시스템의 다양한 대안으로부터 이들의 성능을 합리적으로 평가하는 방안을 제안하였다. 대안평가는 업무절차에 따라 예비평가, 본평가, 실시평가로 나누어 수행된다. 대안평가를 위한 평가범주는 구조성능, 경제성, 공기의 세 가지로 구성되고, 각 평가범주는 이들을 평가하기 위한 세부 평가항목으로 구성된다. 예비평가에서는 경험지식에 의한 정성적인 평가를 수행하며, 본평가와 실시평가에서는 수치적인 결과를 바탕으로 주로 정량적인 평가를 수행한다. 평가결과의 종합화는 평가항목들간의 관계가 선형적이라는 가정하에 가중평균법을 적용하였다. 제안된 대안평가 방안은 실무예제에 대한 시뮬레이션을 통하여 그 적용성을 검토하였다.

In this study, a questionnaire was compiled by conducting interviews and preliminary surveys, and then handed out to a total of 270 welders working in shipyards to investigate their opinions on welding clothes. By which investigation, it was intended to understand their dissatisfactions and issues with conventional welding clothes and then propose of such welding clothes as may offer better fit and suitability. A total of twenty welding suits were collected to find the locations and degrees of wear and tear. Due to too large differences in the locations and degrees of wear and tear among the clothes, the evaluation was focused on ten suits out of the twenty suits collected. The researcher’s subjective judgment was used to select the nineteen most severely damaged parts, which were then photographed in a uniform distance and evaluated by a group of experts in terms of the degree of damage in order to locate most severely damaged parts and select adequate materials for those parts in designing an experimental suit. Based on two above evaluations, the experimental welding suit was produced in consideration of the design, materials and patterns. A lab evaluation and a site evaluation were conducted to compare the experimental suit and other conventional suits, a lab evaluation and a field evaluation were performed.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify effects of self-evaluation using smartphone recording on competency in nursing skills, satisfaction and learning motivations in nursing students'. The setting was the open laboratory hours. Methods: A quasi-experimental pre/post-test design was conducted in September 2015. The participants were 82 sophomore nursing students from one University. The experimental group did self-evaluation by watching recorded video clips of their performance. The control group did not have any self-evaluation. The primary outcomes were scores from the foley catheterization checklist, scores from a student satisfaction tool, and scores from a learning motivation tool. Data were analyzed using ${\chi}^2$ test, Fisher's exact test, independent t-test, and paired t-test. Results: There was a significant higher mean score in levels of satisfaction by students in the experimental group compared to the control group (t=2.26, p=.027). In addition, improvement in communication skills by the experimental group was significantly higher than improvement in the control group (t=3.96, p<.001). Conclusion: Findings show that self-evaluation using smartphone recordings has positive effects on increasing both communication skills and satisfaction with practice during open laboratory hours. These results indicate that, self-evaluation using smartphone recording is useful as a supplement to traditional open laboratory education.
