United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change(UNFCCC), an international treaty to prevent the regulation and global warming, has passed through the General Assembly for 17 times from 1992 to 2011. To create a performance plan specific, such as the Kyoto Protocol, it is to promote the reduction of energy consumption and greenhouse gases worldwide. In South Korea, Korea Infrastructure Safety and Technology Corporation(KISTEC) is working and supporting for developing method of green remodeling policy. Among several solutions, "Remodeling" ensures to increase the energy efficiency of buildings and to reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases, and consequently it could maintain buildings high efficiency. For remodeling projects, it is most important to determine construction plan including remodeling scopes and methods, while the plan has been determined by the engineer's background and experience. Therefore, this study aims at developing a method for selecting optimal skin system which has remarkable influence to energy performance of the buildings.

It is usually difficult for a single user to have all the essential knowledge on various Rapid Prototyping processes and techniques. It is therefore necessary to capture knowledge and experience of users of expert level into a decision-support system which provides quicker and more interactive way to select proper RP process and/or machine. rather than reading reports on benchmarking studies and comparing tables and graphs. In this paper two algorithms are presented, which may be used in such a decision-support system. together with its applications. The one is an extended PRES(Project Evaluation and Selection) algorithm which applies weighting factors of each attribute. The other is a LCE(Linear Confidence Equation) algorithm which is proposed to apply user's input requirements as well as weighting factors.

Lower abdominal tissue is regarded as an ideal donor site for the breast reconstruction because it provides large skin territory and huge amount of soft tissues enough to the breast size. However it is not easy for the surgeon to reconstruct the really natural breast, and needs the learning curve with long time experience. Author represent the various reconstruction procedures for the breast using lower abdominal tissue such as muscle sparing free TRAM, DIEP, and SIEA free flaps to reinsure like breast. Indications, and selection of reconstructive methods, surgical timing, selection of donor sites and recipient vessel of these flaps were reviewed. In addition, detailed procedures, surgical tips and secondary adjuvant procedures are described for more symmetry of reconstructed breast. The muscle sparing free TRAM, DIEP, and SIEA free flaps would be enough to provide supple, huge amount of well vascularized tissue for the breast, if these flaps were selected for the appropriate indication according to patient's general condition, obesity, the opposite breast and abdominal tissue condition. Lower abdominal tissue was able to provide versatile designs with sufficient adipose tissue without compromising the integrity of abdominal wall.

The purpose of this research was to investigate the factors affecting the labor supply of married women. Based on the theoretical review of the process for the labor supply of married women and the review of previous research, the emperical specification was deduced as a function of husband's income, assets, education and age, the number of children and home ownership. The data of this research was collected with questionnaire in 1998. The data consisted of the answers by 200 married women. For the measurement of the emperical specification, Logit, Tobit, and Selection Bias Corrected Regression which modifies selection bias were used. Although several different discussions can made depending on the measurement method, the emperical result of this research showed that the labor supply of married women is explained by husband's income, assets, the level of education and work experience.

Rebuilding an existing paper machine is often a very profitable way for papermakers to increase the cash flow created by an older paper machine. Metso Paper has placed particular emphasis in recent years on developing concepts and products specifically for rebuild needs. The outcome of this work can now be seen as a wide selection of products offering quite possibly the best coverage of all time of specific improvement targets. Different needs can be addressed through truly different solutions. Selection the best-fit alternatives will offer great upgrade options for all paper machines and paper grades. Metso Paper's long experience with high-speed paper machines has been put to good use to create more cost-effective small and mid-sized solutions with the reliability and quality of bigger and faster paper machines. This paper has discussed some of the most interesting and latest configurations available today for paper machine and finishing area rebuilds.

Scalable video coding can handle peer heterogeneity of P2P streaming applications, but there is still a lack of comprehensive studies on how to use it to improve video playback quality. In this paper we propose a capacity aware scalable video coding mechanism for P2P on demand streaming system. The proposed mechanism includes capacity based neighbor selection, adaptive data scheduling and streaming layer adjustment, and can enable each peer to select appropriate streaming layers and acquire streaming chunks with proper sequence, along with choosing specific peers to provide them. Simulation results show that the presented mechanism can decrease the system's startup and playback delay, and increase the video playback quality as well as playback continuity, and thus it provides a better quality of experience for users.

The safety and effectiveness of colonoscopy in the investigation of lower gastrointestinal tract pathology in children has been established for more than 2 decades in Korea. The skill and experience have since advanced to the point that both diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy are now routinely performed by most pediatric gastroenterologists. Pediatric colonoscopy differs significantly from its adult parallels in nearly every aspect including patient and parent management and preparation, selection criteria for sedation and general anesthetic, bowel preparation, expected diagnoses, instrument selection, imperative for terminal ileal intubation, and requirement for biopsies from macroscopically normal mucosa. Investigation of inflammatory bowel disease, whether for diagnosis or follow-up evaluation, and suspected colonic polyps are the most common indication for pediatric colonoscopy. The child who presents with signs and symptoms of lower gastrointestinal disorder should undergo colonoscopy with biopsy to make the diagnosis, as well as to help determine the appropriate therapy. This review introduces practical information on pediatric colonoscopy, the author's experiences, and the role of colonoscopic examination in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric lower gastrointestinal disorders.

In this study, expert system for the selection of the optimal cutting speed and feed rate was developed using NEXPERT system shell. The NC system has been usually used inefficiently because the input command, which contains cutting speed, feed-rate and the depth of cut, is fixed value which depends on principally operator's experience and machining handbooks providing a guideline for applicable ranges. On the other hand, the optimal cutting conditions vary with time, and depend on tool and machine characteristics, work materials, and cost factor and so on. In this study, if cutting factors, such as, cutting method, material type, cutting depth, and tool nose radius are specified, our expert system gets the information about the standard cutting speed form the cutting speed database, and provides optimum feed rate for these cutting conditions. This cutting speed database can be updated by inputting valid cutting speed which is obtained form the practices.

The machining parameters for the wire electrical discharge machining(WEDM), including no load voltage, pulse-on time, pulse-off time, wire tension, water flow rata offset etc. should be chosen properly so that a better performance can be obtained An optimum selection of machining parameters relies heavily on the operators technologies and experience. This study presents a method by means of Taguchi method to select optimal machining parameter combination for an cutting speed or surface roughness. Experimental results demonstrate that the machining models are appropriate and the derived machining parameters satisfy the real requirements in notice.

We examine the value of information sharing in the context of supplier-buyer relationships after controlling for trading partners' opportunism. Given that trading partners' opportunism is not randomly chosen, we explicitly incorporate their self-selection process into our estimation procedure by employing Heckman's self-selection model. According to our analysis, firms that have built safeguards via mutual trust, commitments and information sharing experience less opportunistic risk in supplier-buyer relationships. Our findings also suggest that information sharing has a positive impact on firm performance after controlling for opportunism. Further, firms that are less exposed to trading partners' opportunistic risk have achieved a higher performance than others that are more exposed. Importantly, higher performance for those firms with less opportunistic risk is driven by safeguards in supplier-buyer relationships as well as information sharing. Our findings can be applied for systems analysts to design information systems of supplier-buyer transactions.
