Evolution of Automatic Ordering System in Retail Market : Analyzing Inventory Data

  • The purpose of this paper is to reveal two problems in the existing inventory systems in retail market, and to suggest a Two-Bin System under Automatic Ordering System considering only base-stock. Large retailers already have a sophisticated inventory system based on an automatic ordering principle. However, why does the out-of-stock (OOS) happen in large discount stores in spite of having a good inventory system? This paper suggests two systems after finding the root causes concerning the previous question. For evaluating the performance of each system, the random 200 data set in each sample group was generated from MINITAB 16 and obeyed the Poisson distribution. The existing inventory system in retail market cannot help generating OOS due to indwelling contradiction in itself. The reasons are the ordering deadline and the relationship between ordering quantity and base stock. This paper also demonstrates that these previous studies on inventory fall into the closed loop. Also the paper shows that the performance of the replenishment policy was better than traditional methods dealing with ordering quantity and base stock.

  • As the importance of eco-friendly and energy saving issues are emphasized in lighting as consciousness about energy saving is elated worldwide, demand for natural resources such as gas increases, supply of LED lighting is spread. Owing to white LED's development and price fall. It is expected to LED High Luminance Emitting Diode. LED's brightness and long life-time that surpass fluorescent light in the latest as well as is used by back light source of thin film LCD, low electric power attrition rate by advantage do and widen the market at the world lighting lamp market that is potential market. Accordingly, study about suitability of LED lighting is activated but space that apply actual LED lighting fixtures yet is less and advanced researches about LED fixtures' applied apaces are slight compared to existing light source up to now because is not many on this. The result of the experiment shows similar tendency with the existing light sources'. Through a psychological reaction experiment in the LED lighting experiencing space that can control of color temperature and lighting level, this study is wished to use to the data for lighting design of space that LED lighting fixtures are applied hereafter.

  • Although global construction spending has experienced slow growth due to consecutive economic crises, global contractors have consistently attempted to expand their overseas market share, leading to more intense competition among contractors in the international construction market. In this market environment, owners, clients and financial institutions require reasonable and systematic criteria to effectively assess the business capabilities of international construction firms. However, the existing evaluation methods for construction firms rarely consider overseas-focused business capabilities. To address this problem, this study proposes a quantitative approach to assessing the overseas business capabilities of international construction firms. The limitations of existing approaches are reviewed, and the capabilities required to perform overseas businesses are analyzed through expert interviews. Finally, 18 evaluation indices are suggested in four categories: technology resources, project management, experience and performance, and sustainability. The relative weight of each index is determined according to the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, and a preliminary investigation of 11 Korean construction firms is conducted. The proposed method is expected that it will provide the rational criteria for international owners, clients, and financial institutions for decision-making and for evaluating international contractors.

국제 전자상거래 변화에 따른 중재활용방안 (A Study on the Utilization of Arbitration in the Change of International E-commerce)

  • This study recognizes that consumers are becoming important as a subject of commerce as they change from the existing e-commerce market to the consumer-led e-commerce market, and proposes the use of consumer intervention as a remedy for consumer damage in international e-commerce disputes. In Korea, there is no separate regulation on consumer arbitration, so we will analyze the U.S. arbitration judgment, which is the most active in consumer arbitration, and examine it through the U.S. arbitration judgment so that arbitration can become active as a remedy for consumer disputes in Korea. In summary, in the event of a dispute between consumers and companies through e-commerce, consumers' preference for arbitration was confirmed through repeated collection of opinions without coercion. It is necessary to revitalize arbitration in Korea to protect consumers through arbitration rather than litigation and to resolve disputes through active alternative dispute resolution as a solution to disputes in e-commerce, which is rapidly increasing through U.S. consumer arbitration cases. The topic of the activation of arbitration has been mentioned a lot before, but the preference for arbitration is still lower than that of litigation. However, from now on, as the appearance of existing commerce has changed to consumer-led e-commerce, it has proposed a plan to use arbitration to rescue consumers from damage as consumers as buyers grow in the market.

A Study on an Effective Process Strategy Model of Interactive Advertising in Smart Media

  • One of the typical characteristics of smart media is that it is interactive, which shows a different form and property from the existing mass media, and also changes the way users use it. This change requires a different system from the existing method in the advertising process strategic model for effective interactive advertising in smart media. We attempted to derive an effective smart media interactive advertising process strategic model by understanding the interactive advertising processin smart media that is expected to continue to grow asthe main market of the advertising market and identifying the constituent factors. To this end, We analyzed the preminiary research results of interactive advertising and organized expert panels for the Delphi method and reflected their opinions and evaluations. The components and factors of interactive advertising were found and the effective interactive advertising process strategy model in smart media was derived from this study.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 완전 경쟁시장에 가까운 중고 아파트 시장의 실거래정보를 이용하여 분양 아파트의 적정 분양가와 계약률을 측정하고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 중고아파트 시장을 기준으로 신규주택 시장과의 연관성을 살펴 보았으며 종전 선행 연구의 문제점을 보완한 실증 분석을 실시하였다.

  • This paper makes a valuable contribution to understanding how the Internet may interface with existing channels to export markets. It classifies the market and firm-level capabilities that may have an impact on how effectively firms can use a virtual channel to export markets(VECs). The most important findings of the paper are that it matters less what function the Internet serve-whether it provides information, tries to build interactive relationships or is used to sell products or services- than hoe fufills its role. Finally, the Internet can facilitate direct channels to market. Export sales ability is essential, and is more important the length of time spent exporting. The Internet to add value to existing export channels.

Correcting Environmental Market Failures through Environmental Fiscal Reforms in China

  • By reviewing the current application of Environmental Fiscal Instruments in China, existing policy gaps and weakness, and the feasibility of using EFIs in China, this paper pointed out that the Chinese government faces an historic opportunity for promoting the development of a comprehensive environmental fiscal system. It is proposed that as far as possible the real economic and social costs of pollution and environmental degradation should be reflected in the prices charged for the use of environmental and natural resources. Chinese government should systematize existing environmental fiscal funds and policies, gradually setting up a framework for integrating environmental fiscal instruments into the public financial system.

  • International contractors must consider the substantial risks related to unexpected foreign exchange fluctuation incurred by conducting their business and using foreign currencies in foreign countries. Most international contractors attempt to minimize foreign exchange exposure within a manageable range because it may influence the company's fundamental financial structure, reduce market value or profit margins, or disrupt ongoing and future projects. This research provides a qualitative study of existing foreign exchange exposure (transaction, operation, and translation exposure) and current & effective foreign exchange risk management in American and Korean international contractors, as they represent both new and long-time members of the global construction market. Finally, recommendations of techniques for new and existing international contractors to minimize and better manage foreign exchange risk will be offered.

한국기업의 베트남지역 해외직접투자 패턴에 관한 연구 (A Study on Foreign Direct Investment Pattern of Korean Enterprises in Vietnam)

  • The purpose of this study is to research the investment environment of Vietnam and analyze the actual investment state of Korean enterprises in Vietnam and seek for the points at issue. In general, the investment environment in Vietnam shows both a positive side and negative side. However Vietnamese market is a attractive one as ever for direct investment of Korean enterprises considering their constant economy growth, investment increase of foreign company for Vietnam, China risk. And the point at issue in investment of Korean Enterprises is as follows. That is, inclining to manufacturing, preference of independence investment, small-sized investment by small and medium enterprises, preference of greenfield investment, restricted purpose of investment, insufficiency of infrastructure for logistics, electric power, legal system. The results of the study indicate mainly that the investment of Korean enterprise into Vietnam needs a switchover of the third service trade-tertiary industry, collaboration with Vietnamese enterprise through joint venture investment, a large-scale investment for Vietnam domestic market and neighboring countries' market, practical use of M&A with existing Vietnamese enterprise and diverse purpose for investment.
