The purpose of this study is to ponder men's perception and experience of military service revealed in Korean society by looking into the military service exception cases of a Korean male dancer. this study used non-participation observation, in-depth interviews and bibliographic data, etc. targeting a total of 6 persons covering 3 male dances who received military service privileges by winning a prize at home & overseas dance concours, and another 3 male dancers who fulfilled military duties. Then, this study did a qualitative analysis of the collected data. The deducted results through this process are as follows: First, all the surveyed male dancers consented to the necessity of military service as Korean people, but it was found that they wished to get miliary service privileges in order to maintain the career they actually had achieved. Second, the male dancers, who fulfilled military service, were found to make endless effort to catch up with the tendencies of dance suited for the relevant period after returning to society due to career discontinuity and social severance caused in the process of fulfilling military service.

This experiment was conducted to examine the effects of different carbohydrate and nitrogen source upon the utilization of amino acids in the small intestine of sheep. The results obtained are as follows: 1) For the quantities of total amino acid-N(TAA-N), essential amino acid-N(EAA-N) and nonessential amino acid-N(NEAA-N) passing at the duodenum and ileum except NEAA-N passing at the ileum were no significant differences (p>0.05) between diets. The quantities of NEAA-N passing at the ileum for the diets containing meat and bone meal were significantly higher (p>0.05) than the diets containing soybean meal. The mean values for the proportionate disappearance apparently digested TAA-N, EAA-N and NEAA-N within the small intestine for four diets were $0.692{\pm}0.0449$, $0.702{\pm}0.0132$ and $0.682{\pm}0.726$, respectively. 2) There were no significant differences (p>0.05) in duodenal individual amino acid flow between diets with the exception of aspartic acid and glycine. The amounts of each amino acid in duodenal digesta, expressed as a proportion of the amounts ingested for the four diets, were shown that there were net gains of EAA with the exception of arginine and NEAA with the exception of glutamic acid, glycine and praline prior to the small intestine. 3) Within the small intestine, there were no significant losses of each EAA (p>0.05) but significant losses of aspartic acid and glycine of NEAA between diets (p<0.01). The mean values of the proportionate losses of methionine, alanine and lysine within the small intestine were $0.816{\pm}0.04$, $0.767{\pm}0.04$ and $0.732{\pm}0.01$, respectively.

Influence of onion on the quality characteristics of strawberry jam substituted with 50% fructo-oligosaccharide for sucrose was investigated. Fructo-oligosaccharide strawberry jams with 10, 20, 30, 40% onion in place of strawberry were prepared, and their moisture content, pH, total acidity, color, spread. sweetness, reducing sugar, residual anthocyanin, instrumental texture and sensory characteristics were evaluated. Moisture content of fructo-oligosaccharide strawberry jams with onion was lower than that of strawberry-only control jam with an exception of 10% onion jam. As the addition rate of onion increased, pH increased, total acidity decreased. The lightness and redness decreased with addition of onion, while yellowness was increased. As the addition rate of onion increased, spreadmeter value increased. The sweetness of fructo-oligosaccharide strawberry jams decreased with addition of onion. More of onion added, reducing sugar content of fructo-oligosaccharide strawberry jams decreased. As the addition rate of onion increased, residual anthocyanin of fructo-oligosaccharide strawberry jams decreased. As the addition rate of onion increased. instrumental texture measured in 25% strain, hardness, fracturability, adhesiveness, gumminess, chewiness, resilience of fructo-oligosaccharide strawberry jams decreased, while springiness, cohesiveness of fructo-oligosaccharide strawberry jams with onion was higher than that of strawberry-only control jam with an exception of 10% onion jam. As the addition rate of onion increased, instrumental texture measured in 30% strain, hardness, adhesiveness, gumminess. chewiness, resilience of fructo-oligosaccharide strawberry jams was lower than that of strawberry-only control jam with an exception of 10% onion jam, while fracturability of fructo-oligosaccharide strawberry jams decreased with addition of onion, springiness, cohesiveness of fructo-oligosaccharide strawberry jams increased with addition of onion. In sensory evaluation, as the addition rate of onion increased, sensory evaluation of fructo-oligosaccharide strawberry jams decreased, obtained fairly good score to 10, 20% onion jam.

자바 컴파일러의 예외 처리 메커니즘을 기술한다. 자바 컴파일러 방식의 예외 상황 분석은 프로그래머의 선언에 의존하는 프로시져-내 분석이다. 본 논문에서는 자바 컴파일러 반식의 프로시져-내(intraprocedural) 분석과 선언에 의존하지 않는 프로시져-간(interprocedural) 예외 상황 분석기를 개발하고 실제 자바 프로그램에 적용시켜 봄으로서의 자바 컴파일러의 예외 상황 분석의 문제점을 보인다.

자바는 이식성과 보안의 장점으로 인하여 내장형 시스템에서 널리 사용되고 있으나 인터프리터를 통한 바이트코드의 수행으로 인하여 성능이 저하되는 문제를 포함하고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위한 한 방법으로 수행시간 전에 바이트코드를 기계어 코드로 미리 번역하여 수행시간에는 기계어 코드가 수행되도록 하는 Ahead-of-Time 컴파일러 (AOTC)가 사용되고 있다. 특히 바이트코드를 C코드로 변환한 다음 기존의 컴파일러를 이용하여 기계어 코드를 생성하는 방식을 많이 택하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 AOTC에서 효율적인 예외처리 (exception handling) 기법을 제안한다. 기존의 AOTC 에서는 예외를 발생하는 메쏘드와 예외를 처리하는 메쏘드가 다른 경우 setjmp/longjmp를 이용하여 예외처리를 수행하고 있으나 우리는 메쏘드 호출 후의 예외 검사를 통해 예외처리를 수행한다. 우리는 제안된 예외처리 방법은 Sun의 CDC 가상 머신을 위해 개발된 AOTC 에 구현되었으며 SPECjvm98 벤치마크에서의 실험을 통해 setjmp/longjmp 방식에 비해 $1.3\%$에서 $154\%$까지의 성능향상이 가능함이 확인되었다.

The Purpose of this study was to identify the relationship among leadership style of nurse managers, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and turnover intention. Method: The subjects were 468 nurses and 19 head nurses who were working at the 3 general hospitals in seoul. The data were collected from July 6 to September 14, 2001 by the structured questionnaires. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression with SAS package were used. Result: 1) The score of the nurse managers' transformational leadership perceived by surbodinates' were higher than that of the nurse managers' transactional leadership. Among 5 subdimensions of the leadership styles perceived by surbodinates', the scores of 'charisma' and 'intellectual stimulation' were highest and 'management by exception' were lowest. 2) 'Charisma', 'intellectual stimulation', 'individual consideration' and 'contingent reward' were positively related to all of variables except 'turnover intention'. 'Management by exception' was negatively related to all of variables and was positively related to 'turnover intention'. 3) 'Job satisfaction' was positively related to 'organizational commitment' and 'Job satisfaction', 'organizational commitment' were negatively related to 'turnover intention'. 4) As a result of stepwise multiple regression analysis, the key determinants of 'turnover intention' were 'organizational commitment' and this explained 44.4% of the total variance of it.

In this paper, I show how oyey 'except' and pakkey 'but' in Korean are semantically different from but/except in English. The exceptive oyey is attached only to a definite NP and shows no restriction on the NP that it is associated with. The referent of the NP is removed from either the restrictor, or nuclear scope, of the associated NP, also giving rise to two different inferences about the exception phrase. The inferences are based on the condition that an expression should make a non-trivial meaning contribution in a sentence. The complement of oyey is really taken to be an exception in one interpretation, but not in the other. The exceptive pakkey is assumed to be a NPI. It does not require a phrase that a pakkey-phrase is associated with. It can be attached to any type of phrases, including a NP. Attached to a full phrase, it is interpreted as a scalar item. Its core meaning contribution is to remove weaker alternatives from the scalar set locally. For a general interpretation, the other meanings are captured globally. A pakkey-phrase with a demonstrative has a conjunctive meaning, and it can be analyzed like oyey in one of the two interpretations.

In this paper, we propose a method to retneve english written korcan names efficientl, and design a multilingual name retrieval system, It is very difficult to retrieve english-written korean names in typical IR sytems. For example, "홍길동" is written in english as vanous forms such like "Hong, gildong", "Gildong Hong", "Hong kil dong", "Hong kil dong" and so on, We not only propose a rule-based querv expansion method to retrieve english-written korean names efficiently but also design a multiligual name retneval system which is consisted of query classifier, exception handler, query expander, query executor, exception list and rulebase, Finally we will try to show that english-written korean names could be efficiently retrieved with rule based name generator.

We present a static analysis method to automatically generate test data that raise exceptions in input programs. Using the test data from our analysis, a programmer can check whether the raised exceptions are correctly handled with respect to the program's specification. For a given program, starting from the initial constraint that a particular raise expression should be executed, our analysis derives necessary constraints for its input variable. Correctness of our analysis assures that any value that satisfies the derived constraints for the input variable will activate the designated raise expression. In this paper, we formally present such an analysis for a first-order language with the ML-style exception handling constructs and algebraic data values, prove its correctness, and show a set of examples.

The objective of this study is to apply performance-based seismic design to high-rise apartment buildings in Korean considering collapse prevention level. The possible issues during its application were studied and the suggestions were made based on the findings from the performance-based seismic design of a building with typical residential multi-unit layout. The lateral-force-resisting system of the building is ordinary shear walls system with a code exception of height limit. In order to allow the exception, the serviceability and the stability of the ordinary shear wall structure need to be evaluated to confirm that it has the equivalent performance as the one designed under the Korean Building Code 2009. The structure was evaluated whether it satisfied its performance objectives to withstand Service Level and Maximum Considered Earthquake.
