  • In [12], McCoy proved that if R is a commutative ring, then whenever g(x) is a zero-divisor in R[x], there exists a nonzero c $\in$ R such that cg(x) = 0. In this paper, first we extend this result to monoid rings. Then for a monoid M, we give some examples of M-quasi-Armendariz rings which are a generalization of quasi-Armendariz rings. Every reduced ring is M-quasi-Armendariz for any unique product monoid M and any strictly totally ordered monoid $(M,\;{\leq})$. Also $T_4(R)$ is M-quasi-Armendariz when R is reduced and M-Armendariz.

  • Modern fashion shop is changed by the changing of fashion style. And as purch asing pattern is charged to consuming pattern which has strong individuality functions as space which reflect characteristics of products and consumers in order to present sensitive and in dividual image are also required besides conventional concept as space which simply focused on sale. Meanwhile in the 1980's the fashion presented retro mood modernly by popularization of post-modernism and introduced minimalism that is one of the anti-cultures in the 1960's. Recently minimalistic trends which are expressed by various attempts and a new point of view are introduced to the fashion shop by interior designer. Therefore in this study minimalistic characteristics which appear in the composition of interior space of the modern fashion shop are researched by theoretical consideration and analysis of examples and analysis of examples and consistent direction of fashion shop is presented.

  • Deep excavation,1 in the urban areas may cause terrible damages to the adjacent structures. Most damages are due to the settlement of ground during excavation work. This article introduces two actual examples of structure damage in subway construction projects. A through of attempts to find out the factors that are affecting to the settlement of ground was made through site investigations and analyses of measurement data. Some suggestions are given to prevent the repeat of trial and error in deep excavation projects. This kind of attempts are eccentrical to the development and improvement of information-oriented construction method.

  • Scientific collaborations and observational programs have been on-going between astronomers in Korea and the Steward Observatory/University of Arizona. I will present such existing collaboration models/examples between research groups or individuals and astronomers in KASI or in other institutions and universities in Korea. Building on existing collaborations we would like to further develop opportunities for future scientific collaborations and encourage scholarly exchanges between students, researchers, and faculty members in Korea and Steward Observatory/University of Arizona. In this talk I will also discuss current status of observational programs of Korean astronomers using U of A facilities (MMT and Magellan), as well as successful collaboration examples between Steward Observatory and astronomical institutions in other countries.

  • A higher order iterative method to compute the Moore-Penrose inverses of arbitrary matrices using only the Penrose equation (ii) is developed by extending the iterative method described in [1]. Convergence properties as well as the error estimates of the method are studied. The efficacy of the method is demonstrated by working out four numerical examples, two involving a full rank matrix and an ill-conditioned Hilbert matrix, whereas, the other two involving randomly generated full rank and rank deficient matrices. The performance measures are the number of iterations and CPU time in seconds used by the method. It is observed that the number of iterations always decreases as expected and the CPU time first decreases gradually and then increases with the increase of the order of the method for all examples considered.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study some properties of quasi-submaximal spaces and related examples. More precisely, we prove that if X is a quasi-submaximal and nodec space, then X is submaximal. As properties of quasi-submaximality, we show that if X is a quasi-submaximal space, then (a) for every dense $D{\subset}X$, Int(D) is dense in X, and (b) there are no disjoint dense subsets. Also, we illustrate some basic facts and examples giving the relationships among the properties mentioned in this paper.
