Quanterra 기록계의 실시간 이벤트 패킷을 이용한 진앙 추정 (Epicenter Estimation Using Real-Time Event Packet of Quanterra digitizer)

  • 1999년 국내 지진관측소 표준안이 제안된 이후로, 주요 지진관측 기관 대부분의 관측소에는 Quanterra 기록계가 설치되어 운영되고 있다. Quanterra 기록계에서는 실시간 이벤트 패킷과 데이터 패킷이 생성, 전송된다. 이벤트 패킷의 특성과 각 성분별 데이터 패킷의 데이터 센터 도착 시간을 분석하였다. 초당 100샘플의 속도 자료 기반 실시간 이벤트 패킷의 신호 대 잡음비와 신호 주기를 이용하여 실제 지진의 P파와 연관이 있는 패킷 선택 기준을 도출하였다. 선택된 이벤트 패킷의 시간 정보를 이용, 진앙을 추정하고 분석하였다. 시험 운영 결과 이벤트 패킷은 데이터 패킷에 비해 평균 3~4초 빨리 도착하며, 그 개수도 데이터 패킷에 비해 0.3%에 불과하다. 전체 이벤트 패킷 중 약 5% 만이 실제 지진의 P파와 연관된 이벤트 패킷으로 선택되었다. 선택된 이벤트 패킷을 이용하여 내륙에서 발생한 규모 2.5 이상의 지진에 대해서는 20초 이내에 10 km 이내의 오차로 진앙을 결정할 수 있었다.

자운지구 비점오염원 관리를 위한 모니터링 연구 (Monitoring and research of NPS pollution priority Management - Jaun district Watershed)

  • 본 연구에서는 홍천 자운지구 고랭지 농업지역을 대상으로 장기간의 유역조사와 하천 모니터링을 통해 관측된 축척 데이터를 이용하여 비점오염저감 효과를 정량화하고 추후 모니터링 자료로서 탁수와 비점오염원 저감시설의 저감효과와 비점오염원의 효율적인 관리를 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 모니터링 결과 소양호 유역의 오염부하(1차 강우사상) 중 홍천군 자운지구의 유역단위 비점오염 저감효과의 분석에는 강우량과 단위면적당 오염부하를 이용하였으며, 자운천은 SS 5,396,761 kg, COD 82,261 kg, BOD 57,329 kg, T-N 68,711 kg, T-P 3,091 kg이었으며, 오염부하(2차 강우사상)는 SS 320,293 kg, COD 34,588 kg, BOD 22,350 kg, T-N 48,954 kg, T-P 640 kg으로 나타났다. 또한 소양호 유역의 EMC(1차 강우사상) 중 자운천은 SS 829.9 mg/L, COD 12.7 mg/L, BOD 8.8 mg/L, T-N 10.567 mg/L, T-P 0.475 mg/L 이었으며, EMC(2차 강우사상)는 SS 68.6 mg/L, COD 7.4 mg/L, BOD 4.8 mg/L, T-N 10.487 mg/L, T-P 0.137 mg/L로 나타났다. 소양호 유역의 단위면적당 오염부하(1차 강우사상) 중 자운천은 SS 402.0 kg/ha/event, COD 6.1 kg/ha/event, BOD 4.3 kg/ha/event, T-N 5.118 kg/ha/event, T-P 0.230 kg/ha/event 이었으며, 오염부하(2차 강우사상)는 SS 23.9 kg/ha/event, COD 2.6 kg/ha/event, BOD 1.7 kg/ha/event, T-N 3.646 kg/ha/event, T-P 0.048 kg/ha/event로 나타났다. 오염부하에서는 1차 강우에 비해 2차 강우에서는 SS 5,076,468 mg/L, COD 47,673 mg/L, BOD 34,979 mg/L, T-N 19,757 mg/L, T-P 2451 mg/L로 1차 강우사상에 비해 오염부하가 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 EMC에서는 1차 강우에 비해 2차 강우에서는 SS 761.3 mg/L, COD 5.3 mg/L, BOD 4.0 mg/L, T-N 0.080 mg/L, T-P 0.338 mg/L로 1차 강우사상에 비해 EMC가 저감되었다. 단위면적당 오염부하는 1차 강우에 비해 2차 강우에서는 SS 378.1 mg/L, COD 3.5 mg/L, BOD 2.6 mg/L, T-N 1.472 mg/L, T-P 0.182 mg/L로 1차 강우사상에 비해 EMC가 저감되었다. 강우량과 강우강도 그리고 영농활동의 시기에 따른 EMC와 단위면적당 오염부하는 큰 차이를 보였으며, 예년에 비해 적은 강수량으로 인해 탁수와 비점오염부하의 배출이 상대적으로 적었던 것으로 판단된다. 소양호 유역과 같은 넓은 유역에서 시행되는 비점오염원의 저감연구는 오랜 시간 동안 자료를 축적해야 유의미한 평가가 이루어질 수 있으므로 장기적이고 지속적인 모니터링을 통한 유량 데이터 자료구축과 수질분석뿐만 아니라, 발생되는 비점오염 물질의 관리를 위한 체계적인 연구가 지속되어야하며, 아울러 농민의 인식도 변화 등을 포함하는 많은 인자들을 정밀히 조사하고 다각도로 분석하여 저감효과에 대한 지속적인 연구가 필요하다.

  • The piezoelectric thin film sensor can be used to interpret variations in structural and material properties, e.g. for structural integrity monitoring and assessment. To illustrate one of this potential benefit, PVDF film sensors are used for monitoring impact damage initiation in Gr/Ep composite panel. Both PVDF film sensors and strain gages are surface mounted to the Gr/Ep specimens. A series of impact test at various impact energy by changing impact mass and height is performed on the instrumented drop weight impact tester. The sensor responses are carefully examined to predict the onset of impact damage such as matrix cracking, delamination, and fiber breakage, etc. Test results show that the particular waveforms of sensor signals implying the damage initiation and development are detected above the damage initiation impact energy. As expected, the PVDF film sensor is found to be more sensitive to impact damage initiation event than the strain gage.

  • Almost ship monitoring systems are event driven alarm system which warn only when the measurement value is over or under set point. These kinds of system cannot warn until signal is growing to abnormal state that the signal is over or under the set point. therefore cannot play a role for preventive maintenance system. This paper proposes fault diagnosis method which is able to diagnose and forecast the fault from present operating condition by analyzing monitored signals with present ship monitoring system without any additional sensors. By analyzing the data with high correlation coefficient(CC), correlation level of interactive data can be defined. Knowledge base of abnormal detection can be built by referring level of CC(Fault Detection CC. FDCC) to detect abnormal data among monitored data from monitoring system and knowledge base of diagnosis built by referring CC among interactive data for related machine each other to diagnose fault part.

  • Power quality monitoring system is devoted to more concern than before, because the innovation of industrial technology needs more accurate instruments and more advanced power quality. Therefore, this paper is proposed to use digital protective relays for power quality monitoring. In addition, taking power quality events, Electrical magnetic phenomenon of IEEE std 1159, proposing that adaptive power quality event list consider limitation memory capacity and signal processing ability of protective relay. The prototype S/W of power quality analysis is also developed. Especially this prototype S/W analysis scheme is verified through many kinds of power quality events (gathering protective relay data) in EMTP simulation.

Geological Safety Evaluation and Monitoring of Nuclear Facility Sites in South Korea

  • The Korean Peninsula, located at the southeastern tip of the Eurasian Plate, is known to be tectonically stable, and no critical evidence has yet been found that would override the safety design of nuclear facilities in South Korea. Because a nuclear power plant, like other major social overhead capital facilities, could cause great damage to both the environment and society through an unexpected tectonic event, even one of extremely low probability, like the Fukushima accident, a defense-in-depth safety approach is required in geological and geotechnical site safety evaluation for nuclear projects. This paper introduces the regulatory procedures that are in place to confirm nuclear site safety and site monitoring (e.g., earthquakes and groundwater) systems applied to nuclear facilities in order to reduce inherent uncertainties within the site safety review of geological and seismological issues related with a NPP project.

전기전도도를 이용한 CSO의 유량 추정 (The Flow rate estimation of CSOs using EC Data)

  • The monitoring technique based on electrical conductivity (EC) can provide researchers with some advantages in maintenance management and is cost-effective as compared with existing CSOs monitoring. In this study, the flow rate estimation using EC data was executed in two sites where storm overflow chamber had installed. In the result of A-site, R2 of second order multinomial between dilution ratio of EC and observed flow rate was showed the range of 0.68 ~ 0.77. And $R^{2}$ of B-site was 0.62 ~ 0.81. On the other hand, cumulative frequency of A-site was 43.4 ~ 52.2% in the relative error level of under 20%. And B-site was 10.1 ~ 46.5%. The flow rate estimation formula was improved through consideration of some parameters including antecedent dry days and rainfall duration. And difference between estimated flow rate and observed flow rate in total rainfall event was very small.

  • A design method that can easily construct intelligent patient monitoring systems is proposed. To achieve the design method, the SES/MB concept and a discrete event-based logic control formalism based on a set theory is introduced. In this control paradigm the controller expects to receive confirming sensor responses to its control commands within definite time windows determined by DEVS model of the system under control. Because data to be used for rule-based symbolic reasoning are to be abstracted, several AI methods are applied the processes. These methods are applied to intelligent patient monitoring systems so that they facilitate transformation from low level raw data to high level linguistic data. Model-based system representations have advantages of reusability, extensibility, flexsibility, independent testability and encapsulation.

AJAX를 이용한 소방엔진펌프의 모니터링과 제어 시스템 구현 (Implementation of Monitoring and Control System for Fire Engine Pump using the AJAX)

  • In this paper, the fire engine pump is controlled and monitored by the AJAX (Asynchronous Javascript and Xml) in the web server. The embedded system with built-in system having a processor and a memory of high performance occurs many problems in transmitting the large amount of data in real time through the web server. The AJAX is different from HTML (Hyper Text Makeup Language) with java script technology and can make RIA (Rich Internet Application). It process the necessary data by using asynchronous and it take advantage of usefulness, accessibility, a fast response time. Using AJAX can build up web server with real time and monitoring that fire engine pump status, check processing pump memory in the event of fire, also remotely monitors can do. The web server system can control the fire engine pump as like the black box. The experimental results show the effectiveness and commercialize possibility.
