International construction projects are inherently more risky than domestic projects with multi-dimensional uncertainties that require complementary risk management at both the country and project levels. However, despite a growing need for systematic country evaluations, most studies have focused on project-level decisions and lack country-based approaches for firms in the construction industry. Accordingly, this study suggests data-driven approaches for evaluating countries using two quantitative models. The first is a two-stage country segmentation model that not only screens negative countries based on country attractiveness (macro-segmentation) but also identifies promising countries based on the level of past project performance in a given country (micro-segmentation). The second is a multi-criteria country segmentation model that combines a firm's business objective with the country evaluation process based on Kraljic's matrix and fuzzy preference relations (FPR). These models utilize not only secondary data from internationally reputable institutions but also performance data on Korean firms from 1990 to 2014 to evaluate 29 countries. The proposed approaches enable firms to enhance their decision-making capacity for evaluating and selecting countries at the early stage of corporate strategy development.

There arc numerous techniques available to appraise pupil achievement in elementary school mathematics. The teacher must utilize a variety of approaches to assess pupil growth in the mathematics curriculum. Each evaluation technique has its strengths as well as weaknesses. Thus, a specific evaluation technique may be utilized as a check on other approaches to appraisal. Pupil achievement must be assessed in terms of stated relevant understandings. skills, and attitudinal objectives. It is not adequate to appraise pupil growth in terms of understandings objectives only. Pupils must also be assessed in terms of skills objectives. The understandings acquired by learners must be utilized; thus, skills objectives need to be stressed adequately in ongoing units of study in elementary school mathematics. Adequate emphasis also needs to be placed upon pupils achieving attitudinal goals. Desireable attitudes on the part of learners aid in achieving understandings and skills objectives. A defensible program of evaluation would then stress that pupil achievement be adequately appraised in terms of understandings, skills, and attitudinal objectives.

Diverse approaches for reducing the total energy consumption of machine tools have been introduced and developed, to cope with rapid increase of total energy costs in world-wide manufacturing industries. To realize the improvement of the energy efficiency, systematic and integrated strategies must be considered, including energy-saving design, optimized control operation and concrete evaluation of the energy efficiency. This paper proposes key enabling technologies required to improve the energy efficiency of 5-axis multi-functional machining tools, considering both of system design and operation in the real production environments. Related standardized procedures of the energy efficiency evaluation is also represented.

Due to hazardous working environments at complex, unstructured, and dynamic construction sites, workers frequently face potential safety and health risks throughout the construction process. In this regard, addressing safety challenges remains one of the top priorities. Construction workers' ability to identify and assess risks is acquired through training, which is one of the primary key factors to determine their safety and wellbeing in hazardous working environments. As such, safety managers constantly focus on the effectiveness of the training materials provided to the workers. However, the construction workers are considerably at greater risk of injuries and fatalities compared to the workers in other industries. In this regard, further studies are required to build up a body of knowledge on the conventional safety training approaches as well as their evaluation techniques in order to boost up the adoption by the practitioners in a widespread manner. This paper provides a systematic review of the current safety training approaches and the various techniques for measuring their effectiveness. The attributes of the current safety training methods for construction workers and their evaluation techniques are identified and analyzed. Results indicated that: 1) immersive environment-based training methods are effective than the traditional safety training methods; 2) this effectiveness can be empirically supported by evaluation strategies, but the current techniques are subjective, intrusive, and error-prone. This research offers fresh opportunities to investigate the training strategies by objectively monitoring the physiological responses of construction crews. The results of this study can be used by researchers and practitioners to identify and determine optimal safety training programs that could potentially become ubiquitous in the construction industry.

성공적인 소프트웨어 아키텍처의 설계를 위해서는 아키텍처 설계의 기반이 되는 아키텍처 접근법의 선정이 우선 이루어져야 한다. 이 때 다양한 아키텍처 스타일 즉, 아키텍처 접근법들 중 어떤 것을 선택 할 것인가는 완성될 시스템이 어떤 기능적, 비 기능적 품질요구사항을 만족시켜야 하는지에 따라 달라지게 된다. 본 논문에서는 아키텍처 접근법 선정을 위한 평가 모델을 제안하고 다양한 인터넷 활용과 엔터프라이즈 어플리케이션 통합에 활발히 사용되고 있는 메시지 시스템의 소프트웨어 아키텍처 접근법을 선정하고자 한다. 즉 여러 아키텍처 접근법 대안들이 존재할 경우 평가를 통해 시스템의 요구사항 만족 여부를 분석하여 대안들 중 가장 효율적이고 최적화 된 아키텍처 접근법을 선정하여 메시지 시스템의 아키텍처 설계 시 활용할 수 있도록 하고자 한다. 또한 아키텍처 접근법 식별시 스레드 기반의 설계 패턴을 활용하여 상세 설계와 구현 시 개발자들이 아키텍처를 바로 연계 시킬 수 있도록 하고자 한다.

소프트웨어가 대형화되고 복잡해짐에 따라 소프트웨어 아키텍처의 설계가 성공적인 프로젝트를 위한 중요한 이슈가 되었다. 아키텍처 설계의 기반이 되는 아키텍처 접근법 선정은 아키텍처 설계와 후속설계 작업의 성공을 위해 무엇보다 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 아키텍처 접근법 대안들을 설계단계에서 식별하고 시스템의 품질 속성을 만족시키는 아키텍처 접근법을 선정하기 위한 평가 방법과 평가 방법을 통합한 설계 방법을 제안함으로써 설계 산출물의 신뢰도를 높이고 재설계에 따른 비용의 절감 및 검증된 아키텍처 접근법을 기반으로 아키텍처 설계를 완성함으로써 후속 설계 작업의 성공을 높이고자 한다.

수행평가는 학생을의 학습 과정을 관찰하거나 학생들이 산출해 낸 자료를 통해 평가하는 방식으로 단순 필납 고사의 단점을 보완하는 새로운 평가 방식으로 주목받고 있다. 그러나 이 수행평가를 적용하는데 많은 노력과 시간 부담이 들어 실제 학교 현장에서 시행에 많은 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이러한 부담을 줄이기 위해 인터넷을 이용한 평가가 다방면에서 시도되고 있으나, 이들 기존 연구에서는 학생의 평가 참여가 허용되지 못하여 평가 방법이 다양하지 못하거나 교사의 피드백이 부분적으로만 사용되는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 학습자들의 평가 참여 및 학습 과정 중의 다양한 수행평가를 지원하고 교사가 효과적으로 관리할 수 있는 웹 기반의 수행평가 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. 이러한 웹 기반 수행평가 시스템을 활용할 경우, 학생들의 평가력 등의 고등사고 능력과 전인적 발달을 도모하고, 수행평가를 위한 교사의 업무와 시간 부담을 대폭 줄일 수 있을 것이다.

It is necessary to evaluate the location suitability of protected horticulture facilities to guide and/or plan new protected horticulture facilities in rural areas.0 this study, as one of methodological approaches for objective and systematic evaluation for location suitability of protected horticulture, the evaluating model for location suitability of protected horticulture was formulated using AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) as the base technique. The evaluation model was made in three different selected regions; suburban, plain, and mountainous. The results showed that there were significant differences in evaluation model of location suitability for':ed horticulture among the three regions.

Purpose: The purpose of this paper was to investigate opinions and experiences of hospital CEOs' and QI managers toward the National Hospital Evaluation Program which was implemented in 2004 and to recommend various strategies to improve the program. Methods: We conducted a mail survey with CEOs and QI　managers' of 78 hospitals with 500 beds or more that participated the 2004 National Hospital Evaluation Program. Results: About 70.8% of the participating CEOs and 64.0% of the QI　managers felt that the objectives of the evaluation program weren't fully achieved. Most respondents said that the current program required a partial or an overall change. Evaluation Criteria was the most often cited area for a change. Many respondents pointed out the importance of including clinical quality indicators in the evaluation tool. Conclusions: To upgrade hospital services with better quality, it is most important to first reach consensus on objectives and approaches of the evaluation program among various players. For a consistent planning and implementation, it is urgent to set up a more systematic organization and financing mechanism. Also, evaluation approaches, including evaluation criteria, methods, patient satisfaction assessment, as well as ways to summarize and publicize each hospital's performance should be improved.
