In this study, the load of the river was calculated by using the actual data of the Yeong-bon C1, Yeong-bon C2, Yeong-bon C3 monitoring points of the Yeong-san river watershed to determine the excess. As a result, the BOD is 75.83 % at the Yeong-bon C1 and the five-year average value is higher than at other points. The Yeong-bon C3 was 72.15 % and Yeong-bon C2 was analyzed as 68.78 %. The five-year average of the T-P was 71.95 % for the Yeong-bon C2 and 69.86 % for the Yeong-bon C3 and 69.16 % for Yeong-bon C1; these levels exceeded the target water quality standards of 50 %. As a result of analyzing the pollutant load, we found that the Yeong-bon C1 has been highly affected by the nonpoint pollution source because the excess rate is high in the upper section of the flow rate. The Yeong-bon C2 showed a high excess rate in the lower part of the flow rate, and it was estimated that the influence of the point pollution source was large. The excess rate of the Yeong-bon C3 is small in the interval deviation, and it was evaluated as being affected by both point and non-point pollution sources. The TMDL monitoring network data were used to estimate the exceed ratio for the target water quality assessment, and the implementation evaluation was made by the flow exceedance probability interval to analyze the monitoring data so that the data could be utilized according to the purpose of the measurement network.

The purpose of this study was to explore the role orientation that librarians are expected to carry during their career-life. More specifically, this study examined the pattern of librarians subjectivism related to attitude, belief, and confidence. Q questions were made of 36 items, including personal value system and role attitude. P sample included 23 librarians. Data were collected for 8 days (from April 15, 2005 to April 22, 2005). Analyses showed the following results. First, librarians role orientations were classified into 3 types: user-centered orientation, organization-centered orientation, and expertise-centered orientation. (1) The first type librarians were interested in having good relationships with users, while emphasizing the importance of providing good services to the users. (2) The second type of librarians were concerned with social function of the library, while placing highlight on their roles as organizational members. Among them, achievement evaluation was regarded as an important indicator of personal success. They were interested in having stable organizational culture, as well as economic growth of libraries. This orientation was dominant among married members. (3) The third type of librarians focused on librarians role implementation and professional achievement. They showed interest not only in the improvement of librarians creativity and the growth of expertises, but also the expansion of retraining opportunities. This orientation was conspicuous among female librarians. Second, several commonalities and differences were consistently found among librarians. The first type was interested in user-centered orientation(user contact, need satisfaction, self dignity, etc.). The second type was interested in organization-centered orientation(creativity, expertise growth, retraining opportunity, professional achievement. self-respect, etc.).

At the beginning of the discussion of AI education in K-12 education, the study was conducted to develop and apply an AI education program based on Design Thinking and analyze the effects of the AI education programs. In the AI education program, students explored and defined the AI problems they were interested in, gathered the necessary data to build an AI model, and then developed a project using scratch. In order to analyze the effectiveness of the AI education program, the change of learner's perception of the value of AI and the change of AI efficacy were analyzed. The overall perception of the AI project was also analyzed. As a result, AI efficacy was significantly increased through the experience of carrying out the project according to the Design Thinking process. In addition, the efficacy of solving problems with AI was influenced by the level of use of programming languages. The learner's overall perception of the AI project was positive, and the perceptions of each stage of the AI project (AI problem understanding and problem exploration, practice, problem definition, problem solving idea implementation, evaluation and presentation) was also positive. This positive perception was higher among students with high level of programming language use. Based on these results, the implications for AI education were suggested.

The purpose of this study is to develop and evaluate the practical problem-based lesson plan for high school home economics class focusing on consumer choice of genetically modified(GM) food. The ADDIE instructional design model was applied. The first analysis step, practical problems were chosen based on the previous studies and the educational goal suggested in the 2007 revised curriculum. The next design and development steps, 4 hours of lesson plans were developed by reconstitution a chapter of Food Safety. Additional learning materials(17 student activity papers, 17 student reading materials, 3 teacher reading materials) were also developed. The implementation step, the lesson plans developed were applied to the S high school students in Bundang, Geyonggi-do. The last evaluation step, the perception change about GM food and the adequacy of teaching method were evaluated. As results, the studens' attitudes and minds towards the GM food were changed. The level of concern on GM food increased, and the ratio of students who would check whether GM food or not was increased. Also students showed high level of satisfaction on teaching method and materials.

In this paper, we real-time implemented to the TMS320C5416 the vocoder of variable bit rate applied the SOLA-B algorithm by Henja to the ITU-T G.729A vocoder of 8kbps transmission rate. This proposed method using the SOLA-B algorithm is that it is reduced the duration of the speech in encoding and is played at the speed of normal by extending the duration of the speech in decoding. At this time, we bandied that the interval of cross correlation function if skipped every 3 sample for decreasing the computational amount of SOLA-B algorithm. The real-time implemented vocoder of C.729A and SOLA-B algorithm is represented the complexity of maximum that is 10.2MIPS in encoder and 2.8MIPS in decoder of 8kbps transmission rate. Also, it is represented the complexity of maximum that is 18.5MIPS in encoder and 13.1MIPS in decoder of 6kbps, it is 18.5MIPS in encoder and 13.1MIPS in decoder of 4kbps. The used memory is about program ROM 9.7kwords, table ROM 4.5kwords, RAM 5.1 kwords. The waveform of output is showed by the result of C simulator and Bit Exact. Also, for evaluation of speech quality of the vocoder of real-time implemented variable bit rate, it is estimated the MOS score of 3.69 in 4kbps.

The purpose of this study was to develop educational programs of STEAM-based project under the theme of "Photography of Earth" for the circle activities of the creative experiential activity, to be applied this program to them and to identify technology subject self-efficacy and change in attitude toward engineering. In order to achieve the research objectives, this program was applied to middle school student in Cheonan, STEAM-based circle during 9 class instruction. The results of this study are as follows. First, the STEAM program contents for circle activities were selected through utilizing a five-stage design model(preparation, design, development, implementation and evaluation) and analyzing the curriculum. After that we have developed a teaching plan, STEAM-Story, student activity sheets from the viewpoint of cultural fusion and have applied the circle activities of the creative experiential Activity during 4 months. Second, The result of the test(pre- and post-test) about STEAM program that has been developed were different about technology subject self-efficacy and attitude toward engineering. Therefore, we have verified that the effect of the STEAM-based project under the theme of "Photography of Earth" for the circle activities on the attitudes toward engineering and self-efficacy in middle school is effective.
One of the important elements for improving academic achievement of learners in education through e-learning is to support learners to study by finding questions they want with providing various evaluation questions. However, most of question retrieval systems usually depend on keyword search based on only a syntactical analysis and/or a hierarchical browsing system classified by the topics of subjects. In such a system it is not easy to find integrative questions associated with each other. In order to improve this problem, in this paper we proposed a question management and retrieval system which allows users to easily manage questions and also to effectively find questions for study on the Web. Then, we implemented a system that gives to access questions for the domain of C language programming. The system makes it possible to easily search questions related to not only a single theme but also questions integrated by interrelationship between topics and questions. This is done by supporting to be able to retrieve questions according to conceptual interrelationships between questions from user query. Consequently, it is expected that the proposed system will provide learners to understand the basic theories and the concepts of the subjects as well as to improve the ability of comprehensive knowledge utilization and problem-solving.
The importance of citizen as a key of community safety has increased, and the legislation to support the citizen's activities is continued. However systematic and detailed action plans are not enough to something. Thus, the purpose of this research is to develop the educational program model for the citizens on patrol for the improvement of practical use. The methods of this research are to make and suggest the educational program for citizens on patrol by literature review and cases analysis of educational program implemented one years ago. The findings are suggested as belows. First, the learners need the contents can be practically used in the field and sufficient time of education. Second, the subgoal to achieve the ultimate goal of education program model should be established as 'customer-centered, field-oriented, competence reinforcement', and driving strategy must be composed of four stages as plan-design-implementation-evaluation. Also, for strategy of each stage, detailed sub-strategies from preparation to execution of education have to be considered. Third, education program must be categorized by basic-intermediate-expert courses depending on the level of learners, and theoretically and practically oriented curriculum subjects are organized in balance by each course.
In Korea, the relevant laws and regulations for fire safety in buildings have been revised. Since 2011, Performance-based Design has been conducted for large-scale or high-rise buildings. However, the Korea's performance-based design is still at a level where life safety evaluation using fire and evacuation simulation tools is compared with existing methods. Although related studies have been conducted continuously for the mandatory performance-based design, the fact that it is relatively unsatisfactory for design and construction of fire-fighting facilities as it mainly focuses on administrative and institutional improvement measures or computer simulation. This study collected 91 performance-based design documents that were carried out nationwide at the initial stage of implementation until 2016 to analyze the status of performance-based design of fire-fighting facilities. As a result, fire-fighting facilities, except for fire extinguish system facilities, were not properly designed for performance. Furthermore, the designers found that if corresponding facilities or higher-level equipment with upgraded performance is additionally installed, the performance-based design fared well compared to the existing the prescriptive-based design.

Objectives: This study was conducted to develop a participatory learning process and apply it to community empowerment for health promotion. Methods: The participatory learning sessions were composed of three stages according to the modified Freirean model of empowerment education. Stage 1 of generating themes (listening stage) was replaced with a community health forum. Stage 2 of problem-posing was executed via a two-session small group brainstorming discussion for selecting priority community health problems and strategies to solve them. Stage 3 of act-reflect-act, the implementation of the chosen strategies, is ongoing. We tested the feasibility of the participatory learning processes in the pilot programs for health education. Then, 14 Myeon (or Dong) Health Committee members used them in Health Plus Happiness Plus projects for community empowerment to achieve health equity in Gyeongsangnam-Do, Korea. Results: In the pilot program for feasibility, more than 80% of the 95 participants gave positive responses to evaluation questionnaires after three or four participatory learning sessions. Health Committee members successfully selected various strategies relevant to their communities with facilitation, but without any teaching from outside professionals. Conclusions: We successfully applied the participatory learning process to health promotion. However, more studies are warranted to evaluate its long-term applicability.
