Purpose: This research is based on experiments practiced with 6th grade students in primary school as subjects. They were trained in basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation theory and received actual training in CPR. Methods: The subjects were randomly sorted into two classes of the 6th grade students. The experimental group was composed of 35 students. The control group was composed of 32. The experimental group received basic CPR theoretical and practical education once and received a practical evaluation three times, with 4 weeks in between evaluations. The control group received CPR theoretical education before the study. The data was analyzed by ${\chi}^2$-test and t-test using the SPSS/WIN 12.0 program. Results: Hypothesis 1 was that the basic CPR knowledge score would begin to decrease right after the education and continue to decrease as time passed. The experimental group's knowledge score continued to increase 12 weeks after education, but there was no decrease in the control group's knowledge score (F=5.870, p=.000). Hypothesis 2 was that the basic CPR attitude score would decrease right after the education and continue as time passed. There was no significant difference in the experimental group's score after education, nor was there any change in the control group's score on this measure (F=3.986, p=.004). Hypothesis 3 was that the subjects' confidence in practicing CPR would decrease right after education and continue as time passed. There was a significant decrease in the experimental group's score, but no significant change in the control group's score on this measure (F=75.574, p=.000). Hypothesis 4 was that the practical accomplishment evaluation score of CPR would decrease as time passed. There was a significant decrease in the experimental group's score on this measure right after education (F=38.368, p=000). Conclusion: Retraining for basic CPR education will be needed in all aspects of the education/training at least every 4 weeks, to preserve the students' retention of learned material/training. This is because students' scores fell significantly four weeks after education/training.

Purpose : To compare the functional evaluation with the posterior translation after arthroscopic PCL reconstruction in isolated and combined PCL-deficient knees. Materials and Methods : We retrospectively evaluated 45 patients with PCL-deficient knees who were treated by arthroscopic PCL reconstruction using Achilles tendon allograft from June 1994 to June 2000. The differences of posterior translation were measured with posterior stress lateral radiographs and KT-2000 arthrometer. The functional results were evaluated using the Lysholm knee score and IKDC evaluation form. Results : Preoperative mean side to side differences of the posterior translation were 11.83 mm in isolated PCL-deficient knees and 12.7 mm in combined PCL-deficient knees respectively. At the last follow-up in isolated and combined PCL-deficient knees, the mean radiographic side to side differences of the posterior translation were 6.38 mm and 6.7 mm, the average corrected 20 Ib posterior displacements using KT-2000 arthrometer were 3.5 mm and 4.1 mm, the mean Lysholm score were 87.4 and 81.2, the grade A and B of IKDC evaluation form were 16 cases $(88.9\%)$ and 23 cases $(85.2\%)$, respectively. Conclusion : The functional results had no relationship with the degree of posterior translation after arthroscopic PCL reconstruction. Tendency of posterior translation may be influenced by associated injury of the knee.

The lack of research on the suitability of park green spaces as a form of earthquake shelter leads to difficultiesin highlighting the functions of these shelters. In this study, the weight value and priority of 27 indexes derived from previous studies are calculated by the AHP method and then a score table was established via a transformed score method. The final evaluation grade is divided into five levels: very inadequate, inadequate, general, adequate, highly adequate. Finally, indexes that were difficult to judge were explained. Based on this, the suitability evaluation of park green spaces as a form of earthquake shelter can be performed. The evaluation results can reflect the advantages and disadvantages of park green space as a form of earthquake shelter and indicate directionsfor construction in the future.
Many museums have recently employed digital technologies in exhibition installations to provide visitors with interactive experiences with the installations, not just audiences. However, most of them have focused on the adoption of new prototypes or technologies, not considering user experiences of those systems carefully. This study developed an evaluation tool for usability of the tangible user interfaces and conducted a usability study on museum installations emphasizing user interaction and experience. The evaluation tool is composed of 5 features of tangible user interfaces such as tangible, interaction, convenience, representation, spatial interaction and social interaction, and 24 items. The museum we investigated is the Gwacheon National Science Museum, where 8 installations, classified 4 categories, were selected for the usability study. We recruited 6 undergraduate students, who were divided into 2 teams, each team having 3 students. Three students in a team manipulated and experience each installation together and reported their evaluation score through the questionnaire and interviews. The results showed that the score of the usability for the category 3, which requires students to move their bodies for the interaction, is the highest one because it features with spatial interaction. Students expressed much interest in the category 4, which utilizes users' other senses, however, the score of the usability is the lowest because the interaction is temporary and repetitive. Most installations are well designed in terms of control constraints, legibility, lower thresholds, participation encouragement, and open to the public, but pooly designed in terms of multiple access points, configurability, accurate movement, ambient media, and full-body interaction.
This study evaluates the effectiveness of the "Seoul Sanitation Grading System Evaluation Index" developed earlier and to analyze sanitation management practices in restaurants in Seoul, Korea. The categories evaluated were the food management standard, facilities/equipment standard, and essential checking items specified in the law. These items were graded and classified into A ($100{\sim}90$), B ($89{\sim}80$), C ($79{\sim}70$) and Score (less than 69) based on the criteria set by the present researchers. We randomly selected 56 restaurants in five local cities (Jung-gu, Seocho-gu, Jongno-gu, Songpa-gu and Yeongdeungpo-gu) and investigated each by actually visiting the site of business. The achievement rate for food management standard was 80.8%; as for the specific items in the category, it was the highest in food ingredients at 77.1% and the lowest in food storage at 62.1%. For the facilities/equipment standard, the achievement rate was 77.8%; as for the specific items in the category, it was the highest for vermin at 88.1% and the lowest for operation at 70.8%. The achievement rate for overall individual sanitary management was 70.7% and in the category, the lowest score was seen in hand washing at 57.1%. The overall average score of sanitation management practices using the Seoul Sanitation Grading System Evaluation Index in restaurants in Seoul was 73.7, which fell into the C category. As for the number of restaurants in each grade category, there were 10 (17.9%) in each category of A ($100{\sim}90$), B ($89{\sim}80$) and C ($79{\sim}70$) with 30 (53.6%) scoring higher than 70, whereas those scoring less than 69 included 26 (46.4%). The average scores for those restaurants designated by local governments (exemplary restaurants, general restaurants, best Korean restaurants in Seoul) were not significantly different; however, they were higher in franchises than those small restaurants ran by individuals.
A number of non-structured data associated with lectures in the field of university education have been generated and it is an important consideration of the students's written comments lecture evaluation. The purpose of this study is to find student interaction factors associated with the student evaluation of teaching at universities, and to provide some insights into improving the student evaluation program based on the results. So, this study consists of three steps that create interaction score, collect student's written comments satisfaction, and analyze an individual professor score. There are a number of limitations to this study. The limitation is that the study was conducted on a narrow sample of the overall student population.
Purpose: School meal programs should be part of the educational process to promote good eating habits for students. The purpose of this study was to develop an evaluation scale for educational school meal programs and evaluate the achievement level of educational school meal programs using the developed scale. Methods: The evaluation scale for educational school meal programs consisted of 23 items in eight categories and was developed using content validity ratio (CVR) analysis and analytic hierarchy process (AHP) by 15 related experts. The results of a survey on nutrition teachers or dietitians at 91 elementary, middle, and high schools in Gyeonggi province, South Korea were analyzed to evaluate the achievement levels of educational school meal programs. Results: Overall, total average score was 45.7 out of 100, with significant differences among schools (p = 0.005). Elementary schools (51.9) showed a higher average score than middle (41.5) and high schools (37.1). The score for the category of regular nutrition and dietary education was the lowest (5.7 out of 33.7). In addition, school meal environment (5 out of 10), educational activities through school meal time (9.2 out of 19), and extra-curricular experiential activities (3.5 out of 10) also showed inadequate levels. Conclusion: The results show that the overall level of educational school meal programs is not adequate and needs to be improved, especially at middle and high schools. Government support polices need to be implemented to encourage educational activities related to school meal programs.
The purpose of this study were to : a) establish quality managements standards and performance indicators in order to define the concept of the hospital food and nutrition services, b) develop a self evaluation tool for quality management applicable to dietetic department's CQI program on the basis of the estabilished quality management standers, c) investigate the factual quality of hospital food and nutrition services throught the result of the application study of the quality management tool and the perceived quality by the patients servery, and d) verify the validity of the quality management tool through analysing the correlation between the factual quality and the preceived quality. The quality management standards were classifie dinto 3 parts, 'Nutrition Care', 'Foodservice Operation', and 'Management Function'. There consisted of 72 quality management standards and 293 performance indicators. The developed quality evaluation tool using 5-Likert scale was performance at 45 general hospitals over 400 beds in Seoul and Kyungki-do. Also, 1,573 patients in 42 hospitals were participated in the patient survey. The result of quality evaluation tool application study showed that 17 standards were relatively high(more than 4.5) and 22 relatively low(less than 4.0) in score. The categorical mean scores of $\ulcorner$Nutrition Care$\lrcorner$, $\ulcorner$Foodservice Operation$\lrcorner$and $\ulcorner$Management Function$\lrcorner$ were respectively 60.7, 162.8, and 73.5 Each mean score was conversed to 81.0, 83.5, and 81.7 on the basis of 100 point scale, but the range of score was very wide between hospitals. The Cronbach's $\alpha$ was more than 0.6 in 59 quality management standards, this result verified reliability of the quality management tool was proved. The factual quality showed positive correlation with the perceived quality. Therefore, this result verified the criterion validity of the quality management tool.

Purpose : We examined the relationship between BIS, sedation score and plasma midazolam concentration to verify the usefulness of BIS to assess the patient's consciousness during sedation. Patients and Methods : Twenty-five young, healthy adult volunteers participated in this clinical study. Midazolam was administered intravenously up to 0.08 mg/kg to induce unconsciousness and we monitored the patient's physiological and conscious status until complete recovery from sedation. BIS and sedation score were measured before sedation, 10, 20, 30 minutes after midazolam administration. Plasma midazolam concentration was measured 10 minutes after midazolam administration. BIS was measured using A-2000 BISTM monitor (Aspect Medical Systems, USA) and the degree of sedation was evaluated with the sedation score. Results : The BIS score correlated with the sedation score (r = 0.676; P < 0.05). With the decreased plasma midazolam concentration, the correlation was better with sedation score (r = -0.656). Although BIS values did not correlate with calculated plasma concentration of midazolam (r = 0.467) at 10 minutes after midazolam administration, values after sedation were well distinguished from those before sedation. Conclusions : BIS is known for an effective predictor of patient's hypnotic state, and it is correlated with the sedation score. But, it doesn't always coincide with the clinical parameters of depth of sedation. So more attention is needed using BIS only during sedation, and it is advisable that the patient's consciousness is monitored with variable sedation score systems every several minutes.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a module for infants in pediatric nursing based on problem-based learning (PBL) and to analyze its effect. Methods: The data used in the study was collected from 79 junior nursing students. For the analysis of the module effect, one group post-test design was applied for measurement of academic achievement. Results: The module for infants is comprised of a 4-hour PBL module. The academic achievement tests are composed of formative (tutor evaluation, self-evaluation) and summative evaluations. The self-evaluation revealed the strong need for PBL and the importance of PBL in the problem solving process and integrative thinking. The mean score of the subjects' learning satisfaction, problem solving process and concept map assessments were all above 50 percent. There was no significant difference in the mean score between the infant PBL and other teaching methods. Conclusion: The PBL proved to be a useful learning method to promote the critical and integrative thinking process.
