This study is to establish the items on instructional evaluation based on the teacher's practical knowledge in mathematics educations. Namely, this study deals with the items on how pre-service or in-service teachers reflect and revise their own or peer's class. To accomplish this, first of all the items on instructional evaluation was developed by researchers of this study on the basis of the results of two previous study. One is the literature of Elbaz(1981) and the other is the literature of Hwang(2013). Elbaz(1981) defined the definition of practical knowledge and five sub-domains of the practical knowledge. On the other hand, Hwang(2013) defined the teacher knowledge in mathematics education and four sub-domains of the teacher knowledge. According to these four domains, Hwang(2013) developed the items on the instructional evaluation in mathematics class. From now on, based on these two study, this study was to develop the items on the instructional evaluation involving the practical knowledge. Futhermore, the final and ideal items on the instruction would be established through the reflection and comments of professionals such as mathematics teachers, professors, and researchers.

The purpose of this study is to complement the problem of lecture evaluation items and to improve the lecture evaluation items to fit to original purpose of lecture evaluation to enhance the lecture's quality. For this, meanings of good teaching, lecture evaluation domains and elements of preceding study, the contents and problems of lecture evaluation tools in A college were searched, and in this foundation, an improved lecture evaluation tool was suggested. As the result of this study, important features of the improved tool are followed: First, the compositions of evaluation domains, evaluation elements, and evaluation items were reconstituted. Second, to acquire the important information for the better lecture, the items were devised according to the features of good teaching in colleges. Third, the items concerned of evaluation elements which is commonly suggested by the lecture evaluation tools of preceding study were developed. Forth, if there is the information which is required for the enhancement of the lecture quality, the items were developed though the result could not be presented in the arithmetical means. Fifth, evaluation items to improve the problems of lecture evaluation tools which had been carried out in A college were developed.
Purpose: To find out whether the self-care ability measurement used for visiting health care provide an appropriate standard to select service methods using a Delphi survey and to offer basic data that can improve the measurement. Method: A Delphi survey was done with 39 people consisting of theoretical professionals, field managers, and practitioners engaged in visiting health care. Result: It was found that items and weighted points in the currently used self-care ability measurement needed adjustment. Therefore, a modified evaluation standard was presented by domains, items and detailed items. Finally, the self-care ability measurement is composed of 4 domains, 11 items and 19 detailed items. Conclusion: This study is significant in that it presented an evaluation standard applicable directly to business practice by supplementing problems in the existing self-care ability measurement. This study suggests the need to develop various measurements for elderly households based on community.

In using lecture evaluation methods to improve the quality of education, most universities need to reflect the changes in the educational environment. The transformation of university education into a mixed learning environment blending face-to-face education and online education necessitates the development of appropriate lecture evaluation items. For this purpose, we analyzed the items and the factor analysis for the students of C university in Daejeon. The primary data were carried out with 47 measurement items in 10 domains, such as planning and preparation of lectures, which were found through previous research analysis. Secondary data were validated by using the items confirmed through analysis of preliminary test data. The study results showed that 20 items including six domains such as planning and preparation of lectures, learning materials, learning tasks, instruction media, online course test and grades were derived. These study results suggest that universities lectures should be evaluated to ensure improvement.
This research purports to analyze released items and G4 students' science achievement from TIMSS 2011 according to their academic achievement levels and gender. By doing so, it aims to draw educational implications for Korea from analyses results. Korea showed a lower rate of students at the advanced international benchmark - the highest achievement level - compared to Singapore. The difference was the smallest in Life Science among three content domains and knowing among three cognitive domains. The results of analysis according to gender showed that male students' achievement was significantly higher in Physical Science and Earth Science, and their achievement was also higher in the cognitive domains of Knowing and Applying. From the analysis of the released items, it was revealed that the students' achievement was low in items related to classification of organisms, functions of heart, matters that combust or emit light, and the concept of rotation. Moreover, students drew some illogical conclusions based on their personal experience. Male students were found to show high achievements in items that were not included in curriculum, constructed-response items in the form of short-answer questions, and multiple-choice items in the Knowing domain. Female students were found to show high achievement in items that were included in curriculum, constructed-response items that require reasons and methods, and items that represent experimental situations. Male students showed high achievement in forces concept and movements concept of bodies in the universe, while female students showed high achievement in solubility concept.

Although the importance of literacy in Artificial Intelligence (AI) education is increasing, there is a lack of testing tools for measuring such competency. To address this gap, this study developed a testing tool that measures AI literacy among middle school students. This goal was achieved through the establishment of an expert group that was enlisted to determine the relevant factors and items covered by the proposed tool. To verify the reliability and validity of the developed tool, a field review, exploratory factor analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis were conducted. These procedures resulted in a testing tool comprising six domains that encompass 30 items. The domains are the social impact of AI (eight items), the understanding of AI (six items), AI execution plans (five items), problem solving with AI (five items), data literacy (four items), and AI ethics (two questions). The items are to be rated using a five-point Likert scale. The internal consistency of the tool was .970 (total), while that of the domains ranged from .861 to .939. This study can serve as reference for developing the analysis of AI literacy, teaching and learning, and evaluation in AI education.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the operation and personal information management of public and private kindergarten homepages. Methods: A total of 2,846 kindergartens were selected from the I-Sarang portal service for analyzing operation, and 217 self-operating homepages were selected for evaluating management. Seven evaluation items from three domains (information gathering procedures and scope, information security, and management of file exposure protection) were used. Wireshark and Google were used for analyzing some evaluation items. Results: The operating ratio of kindergarten homepages was low and most of the kindergartens self-operated their homepages. The evaluation of the information gathering procedures and scope showed that the rule of consent process was not rigidly followed but that the rule of legality for information gathering was followed. Items related to information security were followed at very low levels. As for the management of file exposure protection, the evaluation of items related to the prevention of attachment disclosure showed that the rule of protecting personal information included in an attached file was followed but that the notice regarding information protection was not. Across all evaluation items, the level of personal information management was higher in public (vs. private) kindergartens. Conclusion: These results indicate methods to more securely and effectively manage personal information on kindergarten homepages.
Objective: The purpose of this study is to select a cognitive training game that can evaluate five cognitive domains and to study their validity with existing cognitive evaluation tools. Design: Methods: Delphi survey was conducted through the 2nd questionnaire for 30 experts to select games suitable for training 5 cognitive domains. Five cognitive training games and Mini Mental State Examination - Korea(MMSE-K), and cognitive impairment screening test(CIST) were conducted for 82 elderly in the community. Pearson correlation analysis was performed to find out the correlation of the three tests. The ROC curve was used to calculate the selection criteria for the game results for the screening evaluation of the presence or absence of mild cognitive impairment. Results: The coefficient of variation to evaluate the stability of the Delphi survey was less than 0.50 in most game items. The 'correct answers' and 'level' of the five final selected game items showed a statistically significant positive correlation with the CIST and MMSE-K scores. CIST score and 'time' of all game items except 'number making_time' showed a statistically significant negative correlation. Conclusions: The validity of the cognitive training program using smart devices was evaluated, and the criteria for classifying the cognitive domain and distinguishing the presence or absence of cognitive impairment were confirmed.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyse research trends related to the evaluation of quality of nursing, thereby obtaining basic data relating to the identification of current situation of instrument development of quality of nursing, and of future research orientation and to the development of performance index of nursing organization. Method: The data were collected from June to December, 2002 through the review of total of 32 research papers which had evaluated quality of nursing among published papers in Korea from 1976 to August 2002. The analysis was done in terms of research period, the periodicals in which research papers were published, domains and the approaches of evaluation of nursing quality. The content analysis of lowest-level items amounting was performed using NIC developed by McCloskey & Bulecheck(1998) and consequential indices of quality of nursing developed by Chi(1995). Results: Twenty-three of 32 papers(71.8%) turned out to be published after 1995, indicating surging interest in the evaluation of quality of nursing from the mid 1990s. Also, ten of 12 research papers dealing with subjects' diseases were published after 1995. In content analysis of lowest-level items of the process-oriented evaluation of quality of nursing, the highest nursing intervention was patient education about procedure and treatment; followed in descending order by patient education about disease process, strengthening of communication, managing environment, infection control, admission care, defecation and urination care. In content analysis of lowest-level items of the outcome-oriented evaluation of quality of nursing, items of physical and psychological state, of patient and family satisfaction, of knowledge and home care, of change of patients' state, of addressing nursing issues, and of patient recovery were the outcome indicators in more than 60 percent research papers. Conclusion: The findings provided the foundation for their effective use in nursing practice with comparing and presenting various core evaluation items representing process and outcome domains.

The purpose of this study is to develop an evaluation category and items for architectural design assessment in attempt to improve design of small scale buildings within Se-Jong City. Some of the domains in existing design assessment are building design, function, environment, and technology. The category and items developed in this study however, is composed to aim for the building's qualitative design assessment. Therefore the architectural assessment tool in this study includes design assessment of the building. Also, assessment category was comprised to verify the design expression used in improving the function and environmental condition of the building. The study was enforced by extracting raw data from existing architectural design related cases. Classification system and assessment category was developed and presented through combination of expert advice, survey, and sample test. In result of this study, the composition system required for design assessment can be divided into five large classifications ; public and harmony, access, form, environmental design, and space. Total of 24 assessment categories are developed and presented. The assessment category and standard presented in this study reflects the distinct regional characteristics and originality of Se-Jong city, creating one of a kind design assessment tool.
