  • In this study, a new adhesion evaluating equipment and data processing methods were developed to overcome some limitations of existing evaluating equipment. Nano-diamond coated tool is a specimen of experiment. When applying frictional force and shear force on the specimen by a rotating polishing pad, delamination occurs at a moment. During each experiment, the vibration, load, and torque is obtained by accelerometer, loadcell and torque s+ kpensor. Frictional force and coefficient of friction are obtained by calculating torque and load. Based on FFT transformation, acceleration is processed and analyzed. As a result, the moment of delamination and the load at that time can be detected by the new developed equipment and measurement system. Finally, we call this load as an Adhesion force.

  • Proposed in this paper is an intelligent management system for evaluating science research projects based on fuzzy neural networks with genetic algorithms. This system was planned, designed and tested employing theories and approaches of software engineering. This system was then applied to evaluate science research projects of the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province, People’s Republic of China. The outcome / results shows the feasibility and validity of the system and its possible application to other intelligent management systems.

  • This study presents a methodology that efficiently evaluates and interprets the end-user computing capability in a total perspective in a computing environment. The evaluation system has an evaluation tool, evaluation method and process, and an interpretation system. The validity and reliability of the developed tool construct was verified by factor and reliability analysis with the application of SPSS software. The application and utilization of the developed system was confirmed by applying it to evaluating the computing competency of 316 workers in an enterprise and presenting its evaluation results. This will contribute to developing a methodology for totally evaluating and interpreting the end-user computing capability and improving their computing capability in industrial fields.

  • Researches about an evaluation system for military officers have been studied because it is one of the most important elements for managing units and improving combat power. This paper proposes an evaluation system that enhance justice of evaluation, accomplish a distintion among evaluating elements and improve synergy effects between higher level officers and lower level officers. The evaluation system in this study not only suggests evaluating items and methods but also determines the final evaluation ranking among the evaluated that have their own evaluation criteria, items and duties using the median rank method used in statistics.

  • In this paper, auto measuring system for evaluating sensing reliability of infrared temperature sensors is developed. A developed system is composed of temperature controller, measuring sysytem and operating S/W. A constant temperature control of a chamber is accomplished by multi-heater using PI control. It is shown that the control resulte of temperature are well followed to the desired temperature value. The developed untegrated measuring system will increase reliability and productivity of products.

  • The main objective of this paper to purpose a evaluating methods of process capability measures for exponential distributed quality characteristics. For correctly evaluating process capability , the first thing , exponential data is applied the Lilliefors test statistic to the null hypothesis of nornality. The next, exponential parameters is estimated in terms of MLE , ME , MME and then evaluated , respectively , process capability index based on exponential curved (Ιe) proposed by in this study and process capability indices based on Pearson system and Johnson system.

선박탑재용 종합내항성능 평가시스템 개발을 위한 기초적 연구 (A basic study for the development of Integrated Seakeeping Performance Evaluation System on board the ship)

  • From a ship's safe operation point of view, it is very important to estimate the navigational safety in a seaway. The seakeeping performance can be defined as the ability of a ship to go to sea, and to accomplish its missions successfully and safely even in adverse environmental conditions. There are several factors presently adopted for evaluating seakeeping performance. But a hardware of the system considering all these factors has not been developed since some of them can not be measured by sensors. In this paper, a synthetic method of evaluating navigational safety is developed by measuring the vertical and lateral acceleration. An experiment by using real measuring carried out on board the T/S 'HANNARA' The equipment was measured every 4 hours for more than 30 minutes the acceleration by accelerometer, analyzed its acceleration values and calculated navigational dangerousness. As the results of this on board experiment, the system is carried conviction to be useful as evaluating seakeeping performance.

  • 본 고에서는 사용자 인증을 위한 생체 인증 시스템에 대한 전반적인 고찰과 성능평가 방법론에 대한 검토를 행하고자 한다. 우선적으로 생체 인중 방법에 대한 방법론과 생체학적, 행동학적 생체 특징을 이용한 생체 인중 시스템에 대한 고찰을 수행한다. 끝으로 각 생체 인증 시스템에 대한 평가 항목에 대한 검토를 수행하여 생체 인증 시스템에 대한 경향과 이용도를 파악하고자 한다.

  • 데이터 수집과 관리, 그리고 분석을 통한 정보의 제공은 통계학의 기본적 사안이며, 다량의 데이터가 양산되는 현대 사회에서 그 중요성은 더욱 확대되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 분야에 대한 연구는 분석분야에 비하여 상대적으로 많이 이루어지지 못한 것이 사실이다. 본 연구에서는 웹을 활용한 데이터 수집과 관리 방법에 대한 일반적인 사항들에 대해 살펴보고, 데이터를 수집함과 동시에 분석하여 사용자에게 정보를 전달해 줄 수 있는 강의평가 시스템을 사례로 제시한다.

Development and Implementation of a Skill Transfer System for a Self-Tapping Screw-Tightening Operation

  • Self-tapping screws have some operational peculiarities. In spite of their economical advantage that requires no prior tapping operation, a weakness of self-tapping screw-tightening operations is that screws can easily be tightened at a non-right angle, thus resulting in an improper tightening strength. Increases in outsourced workers have reduced labor costs, but the accompanying high worker fluidity means that new workers are more frequently introduced into factories. It is necessary to train new workers for self-tapping screw-tightening operations, which occupies a considerable portion of ordinary assembly works. The purpose of this study is to develop and implement a skill transfer system for the operation. This study (1) proposes a set of characteristic values for evaluating the quality of the operation and develops a device that can measure these values; (2) proposes criteria for evaluating the resultant quality of the tightening; and (3) develops a skill training system for better work performance. Firstly, sets of characteristic values for evaluating the quality of the operation, namely, torque, vertical pressure forces and horizontal vibration forces, are proposed. A device that can measure these values is developed. Secondly, criteria for evaluating the resultant quality of the tightening are identified, involving tightening torque, maximum vertical pressure and timing, vibration area during the processing and tightening period, and work angle. By using such parameters, workers with the proper aptitude can be identified. Thirdly, a skill training system for the operation is developed. It consists of screwdriver operation training and screw-tightening training with feedback information about the results of the operation. Finally, the validity of the training system is experimentally verified using new operators and actual workers.
