Timmis반응을 이용하여 1,3-dimthyllumazine유도체를 합성하였다. 4-Amino-1,3-dimethyl-5-nitrosouracil(1)을 2,4-pentanedione, ethyl cyanoacetate, 그리고 ethyl acetoacetat와 반응시켜 6-acetyl-1,3,7-trimethyllumazine (2), ethyl 7-amino-1,3-dimethyllumazine-6-carboxylate (4), ethyl 1,3,7-trimethyl-lumazine-6-carboxylate (5)를 좋은 수율로써 합성하였다. 화합물 2,4,5의 6-아세틸 및 에스테르기에 대한 곁사슬 반응으로 다양한 1,3-dimethyllumazine 유도체들이 합성되었다. 합성된 화합물의 구조 및 물리적 특성은 NMR, UV, IR스펙트럼, 그리고 원소분석에 의하여 확인하였다.

Several new spiro compounds were synthesized via one-pot ternary condensation of isatin, malononitrile and each of thiobarbituric acid, barbituric, 3-methyl-pyrazolin-5-one, 1-phenyl-3-methyl-pyrazolin-5-one, acetylacetone, benzoylacetone, ethyl acetoacetate, phenacyl cyanide or ethyl-cyanoacetate dimer. Structures and reaction mechanisms were reported and supported via a second synthetic route.

The Hantzsh reaction of 7-hydroxy-8-methoxy-2-oxo-2H-benzopyran-6-carboxaldehyde (1) with ethyl acetoacetate and ammonia yields the dihydropyridine derivative 2 together with the pyridine derivative 3 and the eight membred ring derivative 4. Reaction of 1 with ethyl cyanoacetate and malononitrile gives the iminodicoumarin derivatives 5 and 6 respectiely. The latter compound was reacted with butan-2-one and acetophenone to produce the Michael adduct 71, b and the 2-aminopyridine derivatives 8a, b.

In this paper poly (4-methyl vinylpyridinium hydroxide)/SBA-15 composite was prepared as a highly efficient heterogeneous basic catalyst by in situ polymerization method for the first time. It was characterized by XRD, FT-IR, BET, TGA, SEM and back titration using NaOH. This catalyst exhibited the excellent catalytic activities for the Knoevenagel condensation of various aldehydes with ethyl cyanoacetate. Over this catalyst, ${\alpha},{\beta}$-unsaturated carbonyl compounds were obtained in the reasonable yield at $95^{\circ}C$ in 10 - 30 min in $H_2O$ as a solvent with a 100% selectivity to the condensation products. Catalyst could be easily recycled after the reaction and it could be reused without the significant loss of activity/selectivity performance. No by-product formation, high yields, short reaction times, mild reaction conditions and operational simplicity with reusability of the catalyst were the salient features of the present synthetic protocol. Presence of $H_2O$ as a solvent was also recognized as a "green method".

3-Acetyl/Formyl 4-hydroxy-2H(1)-benzopyran-2-one를 malonitrile와 ethyl cyanoacetate로 처리하여 각각 1,1-dicyano-2-[4/-hydroxy-2/H(1)-benzopyran-2/-one-3/-yl] ethene/propene 2a-h와 ethyl-2-cyano-3-[4/-hydroxy-2/H (1)-benzopyran-2/-one-3/-yl] propenoate/butenoate 3a-h를 얻었다. NaN3와 2a-h의 1.3 dipolar 반응에서 4a-h인 tetrazole유도체를 얻었다. 3a-h는 PPA를 이용한 고리화 반응으로 3-cyano-2H,5H-pyrano [3, 2-c] benzopyran-2,5-diones 5a-h를 얻었다. 5a-h는 NaN3와1.3 dipolar 반응으로 -(1/H-tetrazol-5/-yl)-2H,5H-pyrano[3, 2-c] benzopyran-2,5-diones 6a-h얻었다. 화합물의 구조는 스펙트럼과 자료 분석을 기초로 입증했다.모든 화합물은 항균 활성을 검사하였고 의미있는 항균성을 가짐을 밝혔다. 2h화합물과 4h 화합물은 50 킽/mL에서 활성을 보였다

The nucleophilic substitution reaction of 6-chloro purines (I) with malononitrile and ethyl cyanoacetate is carried out in DMSO and in the presence of an alkali. The possible tautomeric-ylidene form for the products is considered and discussed in view of IR, UV, NMR and mass spectral determinations. The derivatives were tested for their antitumor activities.

The oxidation of cytidine 1 and inosine 5 by sodium metaperiodate followed by the reaction of the product with $CH_3I$ in NaOH afforded 2',4'-dihydroxyhexopyranosyl derivatives 2 and 14 respectively. The reaction of thiophene-2-carboxylic acid or furfural with cytidine were taken place via cycloaddition afforded adducts 3 and 4 respectivily. The bromination of inosine 5 or its 2',3'-O-isopropylidine inosine 6 led to the formation of 8-bromoanalogue 7 and 8, respectively. The reaction of 8-bromo-2',3'-O-isopropylidine inosine (8) with ethylglycinate hydrochloride afforded 8-ethoxycarbonylmethylaminoinosine 9. The alkylation of the compound 6 with urea led to the formation of 3-carbonylaminoinosine 10. The oxidation of 6 with DCC afforded 4'-formyl derivative 11, which on reaction with ethyl glycinate hydrochloride followed by reaction with sodium cyanoborohydride afforded 12, while the treatment of dialdehyde inosine 13 with ethyl cyanoacetate in the presence of 0.5 N NaOH afforded compound 15.

The Indium modified mesoporous zeolite AlMCM-41 were synthesized by hydrothermal method and characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive spectroscopy (SEM-EDS) techniques. The Knoevenagel condensation of aldehyde with malononitrile or ethyl cyanoacetate was carried out at reflux condition in ethanol by using heterogeneous In/AlMCM-41 catalyst. This method is fast, efficient, easy work-up and eco-friendly to afford the corresponding Knoevenagel adducts. The catalyst was recovered and reused for several cycles with consistent activity.

Reaction of 2-formyl-4H-thieno [2, 3-b] benzothiopyran-4-one (1) with different heterocyclic amines afforded the corresponding Schiff's bases (2-4). Diethyl malonate, ethyl cyanoacetate and malononitrile were reached with 1 to afford compounds 5, 7 and 8, respectively. Compound 5 was cyclized to the pyrazolidin-3, 4-dione (6) by the action of hydrazine hydrate, whereas compound 7 was utilized for the synthesis of the thiazolin-4 one derivatives (9-13).
