This study is an analysis of the process of the discovery of the DNA double helix structure from an engineering literacy education perspective. The explanation of the DNA double helix structure by James Watson and Francis Crick in 1952 is a well-known scientific episode. The process is also a combination of various incidents that can frequently happen in competitive engineering research and development situations. Therefore, the process of the discovery of the DNA structure is a remarkable event that can cover all subjects, such as engineering and ethics, research ethics, communication between researchers, engineering and leadership, engineering and teamwork, and engineering and women. This paper focuses on analyzing the research ethics issues associated with Rosalind Franklin and comparing and analyzing the three teams that were very close to the discovery of the DNA structure. By looking at why the Watson and Crick team got the final answer instead of the Linus Pauling's team or the Maurice Wilkins and Rosalind Franklin's team, the virtues of the technology development process that should be taught in engineering literacy education will be naturally presented.

21세기 지식기반사회의 핵심역량으로 ICT 리터러시 능력이 강조되고 있다. 따라서 2007년부터 학생들의 ICT 리터러시 측정에 대한 연구들이 진행되었다. 본 연구는 교육의 수월성 관점에서 영재분야에 따라 ICT 리터러시 능력이 어떻게 다른지를 분석하기 위한 목적을 갖는다. 목적 달성을 위해 영재교육원에서 교육을 받고 있는 초등학생 167명, 중학생 159명을 대상으로 영재분야에 따른 ICT 리터러시 능력을 비교하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 초등학생들은 영재분야에 따라 내용요소 중 '컴퓨터와 네트워크', '정보사회와 윤리', 능력요소 중 '문제의 인식', '정보의 소통'에서 차이를 나타내었다. 둘째, 중학생은 영재분야에 따라 '정보사회와 윤리', '정보의 조직 및 창출' 요소에서 차이가 있었다. 본 연구는 일반학생들과는 달리 정보, 과학, 수학영재를 대상으로 ICT 리터러시 능력을 측정하고, 교육에 대해 제언했다는 점에 의의가 있다.

지금까지의 인터넷 관련 교육은 주로 '정보통신윤리'와 '인터넷 중독'에 초점을 맞추고 있어 인터넷미디어 시대를 위한 '인터넷미디어'의 창의적이고, 바람직한 이해와 활용을 이끌어내기 위한 '인터넷 리터러시 교육'의 필요성이 사회적으로 제기되고 있다. 미디어 교육과 관련된 기존 연구에서 가장 취약점은 '교육성과' 에 대한 분석이 전혀 이루어지지 않고 있다는데 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 전국 중학교 학생 708명을 대상으로 진행한 인터넷미디어 교육에 따른 인터넷에 대한 감성적 태도, 매체 인식, 인터넷 이용효능감, 인터넷미디어 능력, 인터넷 윤리의식의 변화를 살펴보았다. 그 결과 인터넷 이용효능감과 인터넷미디어 능력은 큰 변화를 나타냈으며 아울러 수업을 통해 자연스럽게 인터넷윤리 의식도 높아지는 결과를 보였다. 이러한 결과는 인터넷미디어 교육 프로그램의 실질적 성과를 입증하였다는데 의의를 가질 수 있다.

본 논문은 AI(: Artificial Intelligence) 시대에 따른 대학 교양교육으로 디지털 리터러시 교육의 필요성과 방향성에 대해 고찰하였다. 디지털 환경에서 일상적인 문화에 대한 보편적인 교육이 바로 디지털 리터러시라고 볼 수 있으며, 단순히 디지털 기기를 사용할 수 있는 능력이 아니라 디지털 사회의 시민에게 필요한 역량들을 함양하는 것으로 범위가 확장되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 대학 교양 교육과정이 시대적 변화를 반영하여 정보 문해 영역을 강화했지만, 아직 디지털 기기 사용 및 특정 프로그램 활용법을 학습하는 기술적인 측면에 편중되어 있음을 문제점으로 제시하고, 대학의 디지털 리터러시 교육의 방향은 디지털 기기 사용의 기술적·도구적 측면에 국한해서는 안되며, 디지털 기기의 사용으로 인해 발생할 수 있는 사회적 영향을 고려한 디지털 윤리에 중점을 둔 방향으로 이뤄지는 것이 바람직할 것이라고 제안하였다.

본 논문은 지속적으로 증가되고 있는 인터넷 역기능들을 미디어리터러시 기반의 소셜네트워크 서비스 스템을 통하여 미디어 접근능력, 비판적 이해능력, 창의적 표현능력, 참여와 소통능력을 향상 시켜 줄 수 있는 L-SNS시스템을 설계 및 구현 하였다. 구현된 L-SNS시스템은 학습자들의 원활한 소통의 매개체로 스마트폰을 사용하였으며, 실시간 상호작용과 상대방의 입장을 이해 할 수 있도록 간접적 체험을 경험 할 수 있게 하였다. 또한 다른 학습자들의 심도 있는 토론을 제3자의 입장에서 보는 과정을 통하여 객관적 판단을 할 수 있는 환경을 제공하고자 하였다.

The purpose of this study was to survey current status of information technology literacy in Korean teachers and to give some suggestions for the preparation of prospective teachers in Korea. To achieve the purpose, data were collected using on- and off-line surveys containing questionnaires developed by the researchers. The survey items were categorized into 11 groups such as operation capability, computer use and communication, word processing, ethics, computer fundamentals, understanding of educational IT, information instruments use, application s/w use, work processing with computer, and internet use capability. Major findings were as follows: (1) Female teachers rated their IT literacy level higher than male teachers. (2) Teachers with longer teaching experience rated their IT literacy level lower than those of shorter experience. (3) There were no signigicant differences among sex, school, job grade of teachers at the present level of literacy, but there were significant differences among sex, age, carreer, job grade, and subject matter at the expectation level except for school grade.

이 연구의 목적은 국내 거주 이주민의 정보리터러시 실태를 파악하고 그들의 정보리터러시를 증진하는 방안을 제안하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 이 연구에서는 부산과 경남지역의 이주노동자와 결혼이주여성 415명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 전체적으로 이주민의 정보리터러시 수준은 기초적인 단계에 머물러 있었고, 특히 정보이용, 정보생산, 정보윤리, 정보통신기술 등의 분야들이 상대적으로 취약한 것으로 나타났다. 향후 이주민의 정보리터러시 역량 강화를 위해 정보활용교육과 한국어 교육에서의 효과적인 방안이 개발될 필요가 있다.

The purpose of this study is to develop the Artificial Intelligence thinking-based education program for improving AI literacy and verify its effectiveness for beginner. This program consists of 17 sessions, was designed according to the "ABCDE" model and is a project-based program. This program was conducted on 51 first-year middle school students and 36 respondents excluding missing values were analyzed in R language. The effect of this program on ethics, understanding, social competency, execution plan, data literacy, and problem solving of AI literacy is statistically significant and has very large practical significance. According to the result of this study, this program provided learners experiencing Artificial Intelligence education for the first time with Artificial Intelligence concepts and principles, collection and analysis of information, and problem-solving processes through application in real life, and served as an opportunity to enhance AI literacy. In addition, education program to enhance AI literacy should be designed based on AI thinking.

본 연구는 정보활용능력의 기준과 범위를 설정하여 평가영역 및 평가문항을 설계함과 동시에 대학생들의 현재 정보활용능력의 수준을 진단하고 분석하여 정보활용능력 개발을 위한 평가모형을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 실증적인 연구를 위해 정보활용능력 웹 평가사이트를 설계하여 학부학생을 대상으로 정보활용능력을 측정하였다. 정보활용능력 구성영역을 통계적 요인분석을 통해 정보자원 영역, 정보요구 영역, 정보검색 영역. 정보분석 영역, 정보기술 및 표현 영역, 정보윤리 영역임을 밝혀내었고, 기초환경 요인, 자가진단 요인, 영역별 요인, 정보활용능력 총점 요인 및 문항분석을 통해 평가설계 요소와 평가절차, 영역별, 수준별 교육 및 평가지침을 제시하였으며, 이를 근거로 정보활용능력의 통합적 평가모형을 개발하였다.
