중국인 학습자들의 한국어 강세구 실현양상과 오류진단 및 교정방안 연구 (A Study on the Detection and the Correction of Prosodic Errors Produced by Chinese Korean-Learners)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the pitch pattern of Korean accentual phrases produced by Chinese Korean-learners in the reading of a Korean text. Korean accentual phrase is determined by a specific F0 contour. And the pitch contour of APs differ depending on their length and the nature of initial segment. In order to examine if Chinese speakers are also aware such a phonetic properties, we have examined the AP pitch contours produced by 15 Chinese speakers differing in proficiency, and compared them to pitch contours produced by six Korean native speakers. The results show that Chinese speakers' pitch errors were observed in initial segment-tone interaction and in type of pitch patterns. However, even though Chines speakers produced the same type of pitch patterns, internal tonal modulation differs from native speakers. Finally, on the basis of theses results, we proposed a teaching method that visualizes the F0 contour.

An Algorithm for Applying Multiple Currents Using Voltage Sources in Electrical Impedance Tomography

  • A method to produce a desired current pattern in a multiple-source EIT system using voltage sources is presented. Application of current patterns to a body is known to be superior to the application of voltage patterns in terms of high spatial frequency noise suppression, resulting in high accuracy in conductivity and permittivity images. Since current sources are difficult and expensive to build, the use of voltage sources to apply the current pattern is desirable. An iterative algorithm presented in this paper generates the necessary voltage pattern that will produce the desired current pattern. The convergence of the algorithm is shown under the condition that the estimation error of the linear mapping matrix from voltage to current is small. Simulation results are presented to illustrate the convergence of the output current.

  • According to the previous work, various well known methods including maximum a posteriori probability classifier (MAP) and multi layer perceptron networks classifier (MLP) showed competitive results. Since even the small errors often leads to a fatal result, we investigated the method that reduces classification error perfectly by screening out some ambiguous patterns. Those ambiguous patterns can be examined by routine biopsy. We incorporated an ambiguous category in MAP and MLP. Classification results involving 216 spectra gave 100% sensitivity for the case of MLP.

  • This paper presents the design consideration of the MFNNs(Multilayer Feed forward Neural Networks) based on the distribution of the given teching patterns. By extracting the feature points from the given teaching patterns, the structure of a network including the netowrk size and interconnection weights of a network is initialized. This network is trained based on the modified version of the EBP(Error Back Propagation) algorithm. As a result, the proposed method has the advantage of learning speed compared to the conventional learning of the MFNNs with randomly chosen initial weights. To show the effectiveness of the suggested approach, the simulation result on the approximation of a two demensional continuous function is shown.

  • Achieving white balance is one of the key issues for LCD image quality enhancement. A well-known color correction algorithm is Accurate Color Capture (ACC). Determination of ACC correction values has been time consuming as past methods have required trial-and-error analysis of differences between predicted and measured values. We propose a new ACC value determination method that uses spatially emulated patterns and measured values on patterns.

  • 주파수 선택적 도플러 시변 채널 환경 하에서 파일럿 패턴에 따라 결정되는 ORDM 시스템의 비트 오류율 성능을 분석한다. 시변 채널 추정 에러로 인하여 비트 오류율 성능 열화가 발생된다. 이러한 성능 열화를 충분히 작게 하기 위하여 파일럿 심볼들은 주파수 축 상에서 5 부반송파 간격 이하로, 시간 축 상에서 6 OFDM 블록 간격 이하로 배치되어야 함을 알 수 있다.

  • The adjustment of lens magnification can make the degree of precision in pattern measurement be improved, but several problems such as high cost, smaller field of view and stage error accumulation are followed. In this paper, a method for precisely measuring patterns is proposed based on gradient transition vector, in order to solve these problems. The performance of our method is evaluated using pattern images with several directions. Also, it is compared with previous methods based on edge and gray-level moment. It is judged that the proposed method outperforms consistent pattern width results, and so could be applied to automation processes for measurement and inspection of precise and complexed patterns in IT, BT industry products.

Analyzing vowel variation in Korean dialects using phone recognition

  • This study aims to propose an automatic method of detecting vowel variation in the Korean dialects of Gyeong-sang and Jeol-la. The method is based on error patterns extracted using phone recognition. Canonical and recognized phone sequences are compared, and statistical analyses distinguish the vowels appearing in both dialects, the dialect-common vowels, and the vowels with high mismatch rates for each dialect. The dialect-common vowels show monophthongization of diphthongs. The vowels unique to the dialects are /we/ to [e] and /ʌ/ to [ɰ] for Gyeong-sang dialect, and /ɰi/ to [ɯ] in Jeol-la dialect. These results corroborate previous dialectology reports regarding phonetic realization of the Korean dialects. The current method provides a possibility of automatic explanation of the dialect patterns.

WPAN에서 거리별 측정오차 패턴을 적용한 위치인식 보정 알고리즘의 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of the Localization Compensation Algorithm based on Measured Error Patterns of Distance in WPAN)

  • 본 논문에서는 거리별 측정오차 패턴을 적용한 보정 알고리즘(DCA1)의 위치인식 성능특성과 문제점을 분석하고 이를 개선한 알고리즘인 WPAN에서 거리별 측정오차 패턴을 적용한 위치인식 보정 알고리즘(DCA2)을 제안하였다. 위치인식 실험결과, 평균적으로 DCA1 및 DCA2는 각각 위치인식 지점의 60%이상, 75% 이상에서 SDS-TWR 보다 위치인식 성능이 더 우수하였고, 특히 $15m{\times}15m$의 실험공간에서는 DCA2는 SDS-TWR 보다 위치인식 지점의 91%에서 위치인식 정확도가 더 우수함을 확인하였다. 또한 $10m{\times}10m$ 및 $15m{\times}15m$의 실험공간에서 DCA2는 DCA1 보다 각각 16%, 22%의 위치인식 지점에서 위치인식 정확도가 더 우수하였고, DCA1 및 DCA2의 평균 위치인식 오차는 SDS-TWR보다 각각 7~12%, 20% 감소함을 확인하였다. 이와 같은 결과를 볼 때 DCA2가 SDS-TWR 및 DCA1 보다 위치인식 정확도가 가장 우수함을 알 수 있다.

교차로 사고음 검지시스템의 방해음향 조사연구

  • 본 논문에서는 교차로 사고음 자동검지시스템의 검지율 향상을 위하여 다양한 음향패턴을 분석하였는데, 자동검지의 방해요소인 차종별 경적음과 특수목적용 차량의 사이렌음의 음향패턴은 일반적으로 사고음과 비슷한 음압을 가지고 있으나, 각각 다른 주기적인 형태의 주파수 파형으로 구성되어 있음을 확인하였다. 이를 위해, 교차로사고 자동음향감지시스템의 각종 방해요소(자동차 경적, 사이렌음, 기타 잡음 등)들의 파형 및 주파수 특성 등을 분석하는 음향인식기법을 도입하였다. 연구결과, 일반적인 교통소음과 교통사고음의 음향패턴을 비교하면 많은 차이가 있으며, 차량소통의 유무에 따라 약 20[dB]의 오차범위가 존재하는 것으로 나타났다.
