  • In the QR Decomposition-based (QRD) decoding class, the system performance is sensitive to the error propagation. Thus, it is critical to correctly decode the previous layers. One apprach to desensitize the error propagation is to propose the optimal decoding order of layers. In this wort we propose a new extended-list Soled QRD-based (SQRD) decoding approach. In the proposed decoding scheme, the solution of the few first layers is extended as the list of promising possible solutions. By doing so, the diversity of the lowest layer is increased. As a result, the system performance is less sensitive to the error propagation than its counterparts. The proposed approach is verified by the computer simulation results.

  • When carrying out computer programming, the process of checking and correcting errors in the source code is essential work for the completion of the program. Non-computer majors who are learning programming for the first time receive feedback from instructors to correct errors that occur when writing the source code. However, in a learning environment where the time for the learner to practice alone is long, such as an online learning environment, the learner starts to feel many difficulties in solving program errors by himself/herself. Therefore, training on how to check and correct errors after writing the program source code is necessary. In this paper, various types of errors that can occur in a Python program were described, the errors were classified into simple errors and complex errors according to the characteristics of the errors, and the distributions of errors by Python grammar category were analyzed. In addition, a coding learning process to refer error lists was designed to present a coding learning method that enables learners to solve program errors by themselves.

  • In this study, a hazard list is developed for accidents/incidents of Korean railway through identification of the risk sources. The risk sources are classified by the progress of the accidents/incidents, which consists of cause, triggering event, and failure of the safety system. The hazard list of railway accidents/incidents of Korea is then developed through extensive review of both domestic and foreign data for railway accidents/incidents risk sources. The list is refined for each of six subsystems of the railway system, which includes safety management system, operation management, human error and qualification management, installations and equipments, external hazard, and railway level crossing.

  • In this paper, we have developed base-calling error detection program and algorithm which show the list of the genes or sequences that are suspected to contain base-calling errors. Those programs detect dubious bases in a few aspects in the process of microbial genome project. The first module detects base-calling error from the Phrap file by using contig assembly information. The second module analyzes frame shift mutation if it is originated from real mutation or artifact. Finally, in the case that there is control microbial genome annotation information, the third module extracts and shows the candidate base-calling error list by comparative genome analysis method.

  • Polar codes are the first provable error correcting code achieving the symmetric channel capacity in a wide case of binary input discrete memoryless channel(BI-DMC). However, finite length polar codes have an error floor problem with successive-cancellation list(SCL) decoder. From previous works, we can solve this problem by concatenating CRC(Cyclic Redundancy Check) codes. In this paper we propose to make polar codes having extended-minimum distance from original polar codes without outer codes using correlation with generate matrix of polar codes and that of RM(Reed-Muller) codes. And we compare performance of proposed polar codes with that of polar codes concatenating CRC codes.

  • In this paper, We present a low complexity candidate list generation scheme in iterative MIMO receiver. Since QAM modulation can be decomposed into HP symbols and LP symbol and HP symbol is robust in error capability, we generate HP symbol list with simple ZF detector output and its corresponding neighbor HP symbols, Then, based on HP symbol list, the LP symbol list is generated by using the sphere decoder. From the second iteration, since apriori value from channel decoder is available, the candidate list is updated based on demodulated apriori value. Through the simulation, we observe that at the first iteration, the BER performance is worse than LSD. However, as the number of iteration is increased, the proposed scheme has almost same performance as LSD. Moreover, the proposed one has reduced candidate list generation time and lower number of candidate list compared with LSD.

  • The using of Gun powders are getting grower than power due to the road opening, tunnel digging, the highest building, the pound digging on the construction industry, it also happen blasting accident as well, and it become society issue more than more. In this study, The check list far the human cause of the most rate among the blasting accident was developed in availing of accident investigation chart for the analysis of the blasting accident of already developed and FTA technique analysis with the analysis systematically of blasting accident. And then, Analysis for the application was carried out in construction cite, availing of the check list. As results, The most error has broken out at charge work, an uncomfortable processes, among the blasting work. Thus, It is a matter for consideration with improvement work.

  • This study examined the speech intelligibility of one-syllable words with phonetic contrasts and analyzed segmental factors that can predict the overall speech intelligibility in hearing-impaired adults. To identify the speech error characteristics, a Korean word list was audio-recorded by 7 hearing-impaired adults, and 35 listeners selected the heard word out of 5 choices. Based in part on previous studies of speech of the hearing impaired, the word list consisted of monosyllabic consonant-vowel-consonant (CVC) real word pairs. Stimulus words included 77 phonetic contrast pairs. The results showed that the percentage of errors in final position (coda) contrast was higher than in any other position in syllable. And the intelligibility deficit factors of phonetic contrast in the hearing-impaired were analyzed through stepwise regression analysis. The overall intelligibility was predicted by the error rate of manner contrast at coda, voicing contrast (homorganic triplets) at onset and high-low contrast at nucleus.

  • This paper deals with the selection of the important Influencing Factors (IFs) under accident management situations in nuclear power plants for use in the assessment of human errors. In order to achieve this goal, we collected two types of IF taxonomies, one is the full set IF list mainly developed for human error analysis. and the other is the IFs for human reliability analysis (HRA) in probabilistic safety assessment (PSA). Five sets of IF taxonomy among the full set IF list and ten sets of IF taxonomy among HRA methodologies were collected in the study. From the review and analysis of BRA IFs, we could obtain some insights for the selection of HRA IFs. By considering the situational characteristics of the accident management domain, candidate IFs are chosen. Finally, those IFs are structured hierarchically to be appropriate for the use in the assessment of human error under accident management situation. Three nuclear accidents such as TMI. Chernobyl and JCO were analysed to validate the proposed taxonomy.
