The design of driver's cab includes the structure of cab frame, the layout of driver's cab equipment and facilities, i.e. driver's desk, seat, windows, floor, interior equipment, cab partition etc. The concept applied to the detail design has to be based on the ergonomics to guarantee the safety, comfort, and easy operation for the driver. In the aspect of manufacture, one more factor 'modulization' has to be considered into the design of sub blocks for cost-down. The design has to be implemented in the space allocated for driver's cab, which space is directly determined by the cab frame, optimized for the layout of driver's cab. The design process and results of the driver's cab for KHST will be described in this paper.

Applying human engineering simulation to analyzing work capability and movements of operators during manufacturing is highly demanded. However, difficulty in modeling digital human required for simulation makes engineers to be reluctant to utilize human simulation for their tasks. This paper addresses such problem on human engineering simulation by developing the technology to automatize human modeling with multiple Kinects at different depths. The Kinects enable us to acquire the movements of digital human which are essential data for implementing human engineering simulation. In this paper, we present a system for modeling automation of digital human. Especially, the system provides a way of generating the digital model of workers' movement and position using multiple Kinects which cannot be generated by single Kinect. Lastly, we verify the effects of the developed system in terms of modeling time and accuracy by applying the system to four different scenarios. In conclusion, the proposed system makes it possible to generate the digital human model easily and reduce costs and time for human engineering simulation.
The extremely strong competition among the world automobile industries has introduced the concept of PLM in the total production activities, one of whose major components is VM(Virtual Manufacturing). If the production lines are equipped with robots, the application of OLP in the virtual space is fully mature. However, in the point of the investment's and the maintenance's view, there are always some activities, which can not be automated: for example, typically the manual welding for prefixing in the automobile body shop and the material loading. Process planning for these activities, therefore, are decided mainly by experiences, which caused many repeated rework of the processes and the inconvenience of the workers, and resulted consequently in the reduction of the productivity and the safety of the workers. In this paper, the optimal dimension of the welding gun and its handle position and the optimal working path is simulated and decided by use of DELIMN/IGRIP and DELMIA/Ergo and the working area modelized in the virtual workcell of DELMIA.

This study was carried out to minimize the lifting force of a two hinge type stand mechanism. This unit is designed for the display devices in order to enhance the ergonomics for effective height adjustment and maintenance at any preferred position. The unit will be very useful for the mechanism fabricated with a coil spring and disc springs as a torque generator. The maximum and the minimum torque value should be calculated initially for the smooth lift. And the reasonable torque distribution is necessary to prevent any auto lift and auto dropping at any position because the torque generated by coil spring is more sensitive than disc spring in tilting the position. Therefore, the analysis of the coil spring is requisite to issue the specific torque value depending on the distorted angle with securing reliability of a long time storage condition. After the theoretical torque value was calculated, the evaluation was carried out by making a proto-type sample, then distorted angle was updated by experiment. The result of this study can readily be applied to various units for the optimization of the smooth lift.
(n=2m)이 많고 흡연 등의 만성 자극 요인이 있으며 술후 음성 호전에 걸리는 기간이 길어 보다 복합적인 측면에서 치료에 임하여야 할 것으로 사료된다. with such configuration.trap with 2.88[eV] deep of injected space charge from the chathode in the crystaline regions. The origin of ${\alpha}$$_2$ peak was regarded as the detrapping process of ions trapped with 0.9[eV] deep originated from impurity-ion remained in the specimen during production process of the material, in the crystalline regions. The origin of ${\beta}$ peak was concluded to be due to the depolarization process of "C=0"dipole with the activation energy of 0.75[eV] in the amorphous regions. The origin of ${\gamma}$ peak was responsible to the process combined with the depolarization of "CH$_3$", chain segment, with the activation
Digital media has evolved in different areas as a result of the development of media and communications technology. The development of such media has also affected design in general as well as the design process systems focused on computer systems. Specifically, study of digital media design is based on a variety media and the development of computers due to social and environmental changes. Additionally, study is required on the convergence of variety of research including business, computer science, and human ergonomics. Nevertheless, most curricula in domestic universities are biased towards training practical manpower rather than creative/analytical manpower. For this reason, interchange between and study in multidisciplinary courses is desirable. Therefore, this study analyzes the curricula of departments of multimedia design of major universities and suggests enhanced curricula based on an analysis of the current state and understanding of the problem.

The results about harmful chemicals were as follows: a) sulfur dioxide ($SO_2$)was determined higher than TLV on welding process of metallic product manufacturing industry and heat treatment process of transport equipment manufacturing industry. b) Carbon monoxide (CO) concentration was 700ppm at heat treatment process of transport equipment manufacturing industry, indicating 14 times of TLV. c) vinylchloride concentration in the air of PVC raw material mixing process and PVC preparation process of chemical product manufacturing industry was determined higher than TLV. d) Hydrochloride (HCl) concentration in the air of wire expanding process of transport equipment manufacturing industry was determined higher than TLV. 7) Higher values of lead concentration than TLV were determined at lead welding metallic product manufacturing industry and type planting process of process of printing industry, $1.8mg/m^3$ and $0.3mg/m^3$ respectively. 9) 22, 968 of 52, 855 workers (i.e. 43.5%) in 93 industries were exposed to various harmful agents. 10) It was found that the improvement of illumination in electric apparatus manufacturing industry (from 20~40 lux to 420 lux) resulted in an increase in productivity of 6.5% per capita and a decrease in faulty products of 19%. 11) Improvement of environments using local exhaust ventilation system resulted in a decrease of harmful substances lower than TLV and an increase in productivity of 11.4%. 12) Improvement of shovelling tools based on ergonomics resulted in a reduction in energy expenditure of 25.3% and an increase in productivity of 32.2% per capita.
Designers often hesitate to decide the shape, size, and layout of a product. Though ergonomic principles and data are absolutely needed in this process, they don't have enough guidelines to refer. For the refrigerator designers, they also are not convinced of their decision: the vertical position of the freezing and refrigerating rooms, the height of shelves, the shape of door-handle, and etc. To support the refrigerator design, we applied several ergonomic methods to the evaluation of a refrigerator. EMG measurement was used to evaluate the load of user's lumbar muscle. Based upon the experimental EMG data, we developed a model to predict the relative load according to the height of refrigerator shelves. Two different layouts of a refrigerator, R/F and F/R style, were compared with the model. A three-dimenaional motion analysis method was used to evaluate the user's motion of using a refrigerator. Ten door-handles with the different shapes and positions were evaluated by tracking the rotations of the user's arm. Video protocol analysis was used to evaluate the user interface of a control panel in a refrigerator. Finally, we made several ergonomic design guidelines based on the facts found in this research and the anthropometric data of the Korean adults. The results of this study can be applied to the ergonomic design of a refrigerator.
